Experimentation doodles, starring V. They're extremely rough on account of me being trapped in another state and thus having to make due with my portable art setup, but in fun news I've decided that disassemblers in The Crawling Chaos can do the cat pupil dilation thing with their eyes. It was originally just going to be V that could do it, but I've decided give all of them that power. Partly because it's funny, and partly because it'll let me do some interesting stuff with expressions.

Jane had watched Duck space out at the front desk. Or, well, space out wasn't really the correct term for it. He was in a mild sleep mode. There were no clients at the moment and there was nothing to clean. Duck decided to 'rest' at the front desk. This wasn't alarming. Not at first.

She only felt concerned when he started to twitch. She knew that twitch well enough. Nightmare probably fit best with what was going on with him when he was like this. He couldn't remember them, but he knew it was something with his corrupted memories. Jane approached him calmly. Her voice gentle as she spoke. "Duck?"

Duck didn't respond, his twitching only got worse.

"Duck, Wake up, hu-"

Jane touched Duck's shoulder. That's all it took for him to shoot up. His cooling fan going into overdrive. Jane knew that face. That look where he was stuck in his own mind, stuck in his memories. All she had time to do was see his face before he lunged.

Duck wrapped his hands around Jane's neck. His fingers digging into her neck so tightly it broke skin. Jane's eyes opened wide, grabbing the arms around her neck, trying to pry them off.

"D-Duck...!" Jane barely got out through gasps and wheezes.

He wasn't looking at her. Duck's eyes weren't focused. they were unfocused. His eyes were dilatated. His pupils almost taking over his whole iris.

Jane had tears welling in her eyes. Her vision was tunneling, and her heart was pounding out of her chest. She reached out to push at his face, but she was losing strength quickly.

"D...u...c..k." She tried once more.

Duck's eyes focused, his LED yellow, and it took him a moment to process. Jane felt herself hit the floor, and she gasped and choked as air flooded into her lungs. She coughed and sputtered. Her fingers lightly pressed to her throat. Jane could feel the blood. She looked up at Duck, who was looking at his hands. His ears are pinned back and his hands are shaking.

What did he do?

What did he just do?!

Duck's LED flickered red, and his body twitched.

"Du-ck," Duck looked at Jane. Jane was reached out to him.

She was reaching out and tried to sooth him... And he did that to her.

Duck turned quickly and took off out of the office.

"D-Du-ck. Wa-wait...!" Jane coughed so harshly. She tried to get up, but her body refused. She was far too lightheaded to do anything but lay there on the floor.

I hope you have a fun birthday and spend it in the way that makes you happiest 💖Thank you for being a really solid friend, and I hope I get to know you even better as time carries on. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this drabble in the Android Leona AU!

"Stop moving. You can't even feel what I'm doing."

Nemi's voice grew increasingly annoyed as the android seemed to take delight in his frustration. Leona mocked him with a simulated yawn, holding it's arm out as instructed but rolling it's upper body onto the workbench, not unlike a cat - or a bored toddler.

"How would you know? Maybe I can."

It's tail flicked in amusement, an almost smug smile on it's face as Nemi grumbled, but to it's dismay, there was nothing more to his reaction.

The slight whirr of his fans picked up as if to more openly express his annoyance, getting impatient as Nemi soldered some servo for what felt like the upteenth time in the last hour or so. They wanted the upgrade. Leona had only agreed because he thought it was going to be quick.

It drummed it's fingers idly with it's free hand against the table, mocking the mechanic with a long sigh. It's optics shifted just enough to see if it had warranted any response, but was disappointed once again when Nemi seemed too invested in his upgrading to care.

Leona studied him a little more closely. His gloves old, dirty and worn from work had left a small smear of grease on his cheek earlier when he had brushed away a stray hair. His focus remained fixated on Leona's arm, a homemade magnifying glass-bracelet gadget fitted to his wrist only served to amplify the inherent charm of man's ingenuity. Even with what few supplies he had, he was doing everything in his power to make Leona's existence easier. Why, Leona was unsure it would ever understand, but it was appreciated. It's optics took in everything like it was the first time again - the furrowed brow, the intensity of their eyes, their slight pout.

Leona's tail flicked playfully again, as a grin tugged at the corner of his "mouth".

"You look pretty cute like that y'kn-"

A resounding clang was heard as Nemi near unthinkingly bopped it over the head - not hard, just enough to make it shut up.

"Ow...what was that for?" Leona feigned injury, rubbing the top of it's head a bit where Nemi had struck it.

Nemi, caught up between emotions, nearly apologized, before realizing he wasn't entirely sure if that was Leona simply wanting to get a reaction out of him, or if it had been a genuine compliment. He cleared his throat and waved his hand dismissively.

"You said maybe you could feel things. I was just hoping one of them was pain, because you clearly have no shame!"

I have two wolves in me

One wants Skidad to be a chaotic evil irredeemable villain that kills kids for his immortality cult and only married Lila and has Skid for the cult

The other wants Skidad to have done terrible no good very bad things for the cult but then died and has been trapped in the mannequin and forced to reflect on all the shit he's done for years until by episode 10 he's a completely different person and he still cracks jokes all the time
