There's something different about her, no doubt about that; Shy's aura is absolutely dim and dismal, there's no way to describe it but dead, and yet she's still alive. She's standing, walking, talking, all things a normal person could do, but she's not a normal person. Whether or not she's still a person is up to debate at this point.

"Even with all of this, I hope we can still hang out! Even if I can't do things during the day anymore, it should still be fun."

((I actually do have a vampire au for Shy. She's still goofy and girly, but she's also an unseelie who uses her sweet, innocent charm to get what she needs. She never kills, and while she feels insanely guilty about what she is, that's buries under layers or repression. Plus, think of all the money she saves on groceries now!))

((Honestly? I think in a vampire AU, Shy might actually almost be happy? Of course she's upset by her lost humanity; she hates that she's no longer herself, that she's lost her human identity, but she represses that part of herself deeply because it hurts so much to think about. Y'know, the same way she represses everything else.

But yeah, basically, the worst happened; she's dead, she can never truly go home, and she's a monster...and she's still here, right? The worst happened, but she's still standing; more than that, she's powerful, and that brings on a newfound confidence. She spent a lot of time at rock-bottom, miserable and pining and in a depressive funk, but at the end of the day?? She gets to stay with her undead and daemonic children forever, she saves a TON on groceries now, and she can legit just glamour the property owner into not charging her rent.

She's still obviously fucked up, but she's moreso enjoying herself and outwardly confident, taking risks and experimenting with her new powers. If you heard her crying herself to sleep in her coffin, no you didn't.))
