Sunlight poured into Café December, casting a healthy glow on vibrant plants, books, and patrons alike. At one of the tables near the wall, Hiyori held a soothing cup of chamomile tea to his lips. Beside him was a cup currently ignored, the one who had ordered it browsing away amongst the books.

When the door pushed open, Hiyori's eyes snapped over to examine the new arrival. His already racing heart picked up speed, and he eagerly waved Constantine over to their table.

"He's here," he said to Nagisa over his shoulder, bringing the other's attention back from the worlds bound between the covers. Nagisa shelved the book he held at the moment, red eyes joining Hiyori's on the newcomer. He smiled softly.

That expression eased Hiyori's nerves. As much as he'd wanted this meeting to happen eventually — and he had called Constantine about this almost immediately — he hadn't been prepared for it now.

"Good morning~ Thank you for coming to join us so quickly!" his cheery greeting hid it better than his tightly-crossed legs. With a gesture to his companion with his free hand, he continued: "This is my dearest friend and family, Nagisa! I may have mentioned many things about him, but it doesn't measure up to the real thing, does it? ♪"

Nagisa bowed his head. "...Yes. My name is Nagisa Ran. You are Hiyori's partner, I've been told."

Hiyori's face reddened a bit, but he held his tongue.

Still wearing that warm smile, Nagisa took his seat at Hiyori's side. A distinctly ethereal feeling emanated from him, like an angel playing at being one with humanity.

Hiyori met that smugness with a look that flashed from sharp to pleading, clearly torn in his approach. Sliding out of his chair, he sighed. "Is this what I get for trying to be considerate of you? Ah! How cruel." He shook his head and turned toward the register with purpose. "I'll get your tea, however. I hope you never doubt my feelings for you!"

Nagisa remained, but watched Hiyori stride away for a few seconds as he picked up his cup. Inhaling the strong scent wafting up from the tea, he smiled gently. "...I know Hiyori has wanted to be loved for a long time. It's a relief to see him like this."

He took a sip, pondering the words he directed toward Constantine. "...I don't think he likes having his "performance" disrupted, but I can tell it's the real Hiyori when he doesn't seem to know what to do."

He glanced back at the shelves. "...Have you read any of the books on this island? I would like to find something engaging to read while I'm here."

Looking back in the past, it really had been that way. Constantine had only followed or was dragged as a bodyguard. It was what he told himself back then. Man, time sure has passed. Look at them now.

"He's got a type, for sure."

There's a smugness that is in his eyes when he looks to Hiyori. Was he using the ordering up to hide away? Very cute.

"You're not trying to run away from us because you're flustered, mm?" He teases lightly. "Sure, I'll take a chamomile tea?"

"...It's nothing," Nagisa replied with a shake of his head. "Since we met, he's been as warm and illuminating as the sun. If I could, I would support Hiyori forever."

Despite being the one compared to the sun, Hiyori was fairly sure he was going to burn away into nothing from just being near this interaction.

"He wasn't always this sweet, if you can believe it!" he told Nagisa about Constantine with an over-compensatingly decisive gesture of his hand. "It was difficult to get him to say much at all, and I had to drag him anywhere I wanted him to go with me!"

"...So, like with Jun," Nagisa observed, his smile overtaken as the realization dawned on him. The combination of those concise words and that knowing eye contact felt like Nagisa had just held a gun to Hiyori's chest and taken the shot.

Even if he had realized something embarrassing about Hiyori, did he have to say it out loud?

"........." Hiyori inhaled sharply and deflected, again, by smiling invitingly at Constantine. "Do you want to order anything? My treat☆"

Constantine looks to Hiyori with a smug look. Eventually he, too, takes a seat and watches his love sip from his cup. He glances over at Nagisa and nods, "Looks like Hiyori's told you a great deal already despite the short time you've been here. Her name is Celine."

Constantine smiles. Hes happy that Hiyori was given this. Just exactly what the idol needed. "Thank you for keeping your eye out for Hiyori and helping him and supporting him." He wondered if Nagisa knew just how much he had impacted Hiyori.

"Like meeting a celebrity?" Hiyori repeated with wide eyes, leaning forward across the table. "We are celebrities, thank you!"

His subdued amusement displayed on his face, Nagisa shook his head. "...If I understand correctly, in this place, only you are. You're doing well on your own, Hiyori."

Relaxing back into his chair, Hiyori turned his head away bashfully. "Thank you."

Nagisa addressed Constantine again. Every time he spoke began with a weighty pause, but the words followed fluently after that. "...If he had the time, I'm sure Hiyori would have told me a great deal about you, but I haven't been here for very long. I've heard a few details, like how you met, and that you have a sister you cherish a great deal. I can see the common ground between you just from that."

"...Thank you for looking out for Hiyori while I've been unable to."

"I'm the one that looks out for you anyway," Hiyori insisted, sliding back into playfulness as he propped his elbow up on the table. "That's been the case since we were children!" There was still a pink tint to his face when he tilted his head down to sip from his tea. "...So I'm happy to have someone to look out for me as well."

It's exciting news! Exciting news for Hiyori meant exciting news for Constantine. He couldn't miss this for the world when he learned that Hiyori's family member had arrived in Spirale. It was a gift. That's what Constantine had believed and while he had his own present waiting to be opened, he chose not to. There wasn't really anything he wanted. What he wanted was all right here.

The way to Cafe December wasn't so bad. It would have been better if the wind hadn't been biting, but it wasn't anything Constantine couldn't handle. the cold was nothing, after all. Still, he has to admit it's nice to finally be inside.

The welcoming smell of books, coffee, and pastries (surprisingly) is pleasant. However, seeing Hiyori gave me an even more pleasant feeling. Hiyori made him feel warmer than anything else.

"Hey, I wouldn't have missed this for the world." Constantine had always wanted the chance to meet Nagisa. He was someone who influenced Hiyori after all. So, Constantine nods at Hiyori's question, "It's like meeting a celebrity." Yes, Nagisa is a celebrity--an idol, but Constantine was still learning about that kind of life to get a better understanding.

"Yeah, it's nice to finally meet you." Was he doing alright? Was he too stiff? Constantine loosens up and bows his own head. "Hiyori has told me a lot about you."
