“Sure, you’re friendly, in your own special way,” Saturn flashes him a short-lived smile. “It’d be visual if you dressed up like the big plant.” That would be fucking hilarious.

Handfuls of people came into view of the warm, speckled streetlights on either side of Beyond Birthday. Moderate groups of young adults and smaller groups of less young adults - this was the expected crowd at Winchester’s shopping district in the early evening. Food, coffee, and unobstrusive music surrounded the senses and prompted smiles and sidewalk conversation. Beyond, with a black raincoat sweeping at his calves and hooding his face, managed to walk alone. The clouds above him were darkened with night, but not rain. Had he been browsing the modest ‘nightlife’ of any other place, he might have received more than the occassional puzzled look. This gentle hum of contented lives felt entirely and utterly silent to him.

The thought sent him immediately in the direction of the Family Table Pub & Grill.

Beyond didn’t recall it from childhood. He could guess that this is where college students and their quick fucks would end up, to down cheap beer and hog the pool table until they were asked to leave. The perfect atmosphere for a theatre boy with a behavior problem.

Hopping onto the barstool directly behind something slender and effeminate, Beyond made a point to drop both arms on the bar hard enough to rattle a few martini glasses down the line.

"Get me an L.A. Water."

Saturn leisurely follows suit, just letting Umbral do his thing. Though his eyes went wide for a second, not expecting the spin as his own grip on Umbral tightens for a moment. “So you’re like the snake?”
