USA v Panama

The previous game on the 28th against Haiti was rough. We got the W, but the first half was poor. The team wasn't moving well. There were some small questions on how dominat the USWNT would be the rest of this tournament.

The starting XI this game was almost none of our regular starters, except for Megan Rapinoe and Lindsey Horan. It worked like magic though. We have an amazing, depth filled roster.

FINAL SCORE:

🇺🇲 USA 8 - 0 PAN 🇵🇦

Things I loved about this game:

-Lynn Williams and Andi Sullivan showed why they deserve to be there. I love them.

-The most fire midfield all 25 or under

-And Julie Ertz wasn't even in there so we still have her ALSO

-CAPTAIN BECKY SAUERBRUNN

-Christen Press 3 goals in 3 games

-Tobin Heath only in for 20 minutes and still scores. Oh and she wasn't even looking at the goal. Who is she.

-LINDSEY HORAN HATTY. ITS WHAT SHE DESERVES. THE GREAT HORAN.

-I think Carlos was only mentioned once the whole broadcast

-The whole defense was insane. Ashlyn didn't have to make a single save the whole entire game.

-Anytime Panama had the ball, the USWNT just took it back immediately. It was actually to the point where it was almost comical.

-USWNT is BACK baby. 2020 is the year the world cup/olympic curse is broken. I feel it in my bones.

-oh and Texas showed up. Stadium had a lot of people and were LOUD 🇺🇲.

Things I didn't love:

-Yenith Bailey (PAN) took a hard knock to the head with Jmac. Had to leave the game ☹️

-Jmac boofed a lot of shots. Though she stayed in all 90, I can't help but think the knock with Yenith may have contributed to this.

- Rose couldn't finish either. Still better than Tuesday cause she did contribute to the 🔥🔥🔥 midfield. She's also fighting a wrist injury too.

-Even all that said, both Jmac and Rose still scored once each ... so really not all that bad anyhow
