What I love about the titanic sub, is it's like the polar opposite of the Suez boat stuck incident

Where that was a minor inconvenience that no one person was really responsible for but affected just about everyone on the planet equally, this is a great tragedy for a handful of stupid idiots who built the world's shittiest submarine and they are the only ones affected by it in the slightest

#it's refreshing but in the opposite way #usually when Elon has a meltdown he fires a company along the way or something #but here it is exactly 5 people #including the ceo #all of whom signed documents saying that they were aware the boat doesn't work #and that not a single port in the world would let them depart #what I'm certain happened is that the walls ruptured somehow and they died instantly so it's not as tragic as people fear #but the fact that the “best case scenario” is that they successfully surfaced and are waiting for the coastguard to spot them #is so fucked up #how do you die on the surface in a submarine #what the hell is wrong with your boat
