current book im reading annoying af. has one of those caustic tsun male leads that are always being described as "grumpy but charming once you get to know him" and yet 300 pages in there is still no charm to be found
#WHERE. I DONT SEE IT#plus the book in general is so needlessly long and so unsubtle it veers towards being obnoxious#and most insultingly it features an oppression plot that takes such a simplistic view towards how actual structural oppression works. just#uses it more as a plot device to actualize the bland flavorless romance which would be forgivable if it didnt take its treatment of#oppression as a theme so seriously#anyway. lol im annoyed#*book is a fragile enchantment by allison saft so you know which to avoid lol#weekly reads.
