BLACK SAILS REWATCH: EPISODE II

Odysseus, on his journey home to Ithaca, was visited by a ghost. The ghost tells him that once he reaches his home, once he slays all his enemies and sets his house in order, he must do one last thing before he can rest. The ghost tells him to pick up an oar and walk inland, and keep walking until somebody mistakes that oar for a shovel. For that would be the place that no man had ever been troubled by the sea, and that’s where he’d find peace. In the end that’s all I want. To walk away from the sea and find some peace.

BLACK SAILS REWATCH: EPISODE I

Let me tell you a story about a Spaniard named Vazquez. A few weeks ago he staggers into a tavern on Port Royal. Takes a seat next to an English merchant captain. Vazquez, it turns out, is dying. Bleeding to death from a knife wound to the belly. The knife wound was courtesy of his former employer, La Casa de Contratacion, in Seville. 

Colonial Intelligence. 

Naval, more specifically. One of their top agents in the Americas. Responsible for the security of one particular ship. A ship with a cargo so rich, the king of Spain is very anxious to see it launched. Vazquez warned that it was too late. Storm season was upon them and no escort could be mustered to guard her, but his superiors demanded that he sign off. They advised him that if he couldn’t arrange for an escort, he should plot a course for the ship unknown to anyone but her captain and consider that route to be a state secret of the highest order. When Vazquez refused and threated to report his concerns to the court, things got ugly. The ship in question... L’Urca de Lima. The largest Spanish treasure galleon in the Americas.

74. at what pain level out of ten (1 through 10) do you have to be at before you take an advil or ibuprofen?

hmm.. i would have to be at least a nine if not a ten since i don’t like relying on pain meds to ease my suffering (mostly i just drink chamomile tea lol)

76. what’s your favorite potato food (i.e. tater tots, baked potatoes, fries, chips, etc.)?

ooh!! definitely french fries, but also mashed potatoes :)

78. coffee from a gas station or sushi from a grocery store?

neither bc i don’t like either of those things lmao

congrats on reaching your goal nickie! i adore your page, i'm a fan of asoiaf/star wars too, but i hadn't seen any star wars movies until two ish years ago weirdly enough. 🌸 i would love a moodboard if you don't mind! i love big cozy sweaters/blankets, neutral colors (white/gray/blush), vanilla ice cream, iced coffee, cookie-scented candles, champagne, seashells/the beach, and throwing my hair in a messy bun! hope this is enough for a board but lemme know if you need more! congrats again!💕

ahh thank you very much Sarah!! 💖 personally, I grew up with Star Wars but I know sooo many people that saw the movies only recently. 😊 I'm glad the sequels brought more fans to the fandom and bc the franchise deserves all the love.
