Golden hues rest upon silver ones, carefully observing the shadows that paint the edges around his freckled complexion in the middle of the night. Illuminated by starlight && dimming lantern lights of a festival nearby, Law finds himself… captivated. The moment midnight strikes, a celebratory roar of another year rings out in the air, leading the surgeon to press his lips against Ace’s to commemorate the occasion. The old cold of the North Blues blasted away by the sheer warmth of his companion ( a… partner, he admits, one he found himself unable to imagine a life without ). Lips part, feeling hot breath as the sky illuminates with a multitude of colors raining down upon them… yet Law keeps his gaze upon Ace.

the celebrations every year usually did not interest ace whatsoever he even dreaded the occasion as midnight bells ringing usually means it was his birthday. the celebratory lights, laughter & illuminating lights in the sky ; it all became dull the moment he was reminded of the one day he's entered into this world. even fireworks HURLING & WHISTLING as they fly high 'pon awestruck people before they EXPLODE in a cascade of shimmers, flickers & colors become grey instantly. the raven has never liked nor celebrated wholeheartedly because of this. not even his crew, brothers & makeshift family had managed to make those last traces of sadness fade away. yet this year, there was a newfound hotness within heart. a light feeling spreading from head to toe. the colors remained as he took in every little detail, curve, crease & shimmer from the man that has become the center of ace's universe.

as the colors spread across firmament, the desired kiss f inally shared, ace truly felt ALIVE. he wanted to be alive. palms coming to rest on law's cheeks in caring manner, thumbs rubbing over stubble & skin in soft circles the happy new year wishes electing a little laugh from ebony haired man. in this moment he was truly happy. he wouldn't want to be anywhere else in this COMPLICATED & BEAUTIFUL world. his place was here. stealing another quick kiss, freckles bathed in crimson glow as the sky was still illuminated by various showers of a variety of lights ; hues burned brightly almost rivaling the fireworks in intensity.

❛  - we'll make it this year & all the ones to come after . .  ❜ it was A PROMISE , one sacred to speak out loud amongst pirates. their lives were dangerous, a gamble everyday if they'd make it to the next. that's the price to pay for freedom. he's let law seen many sides of himself by now. his lowest, his best & his most unpredictable facettes he's stopped trying to be someone else but truly himself. yet, the heart pirate captain was here & at his side. their faces still close ; hands embracing roundness of surgeon's cheeks with utmost tenderness as their breathes mingle in the colder air of the january temperatures outside.

it was time.

hands finally slipped, falling to sit on ace's lap as he tried to get the dreaded words to leave mouth. it wasn't easy now matter how many times he had to say it in the past to those few he trusted DEEPLY. law was one of them ; but he'd understand if the man would get up & turn around to never come back after the confession. the shadows of whose blood ran through his veins EVERLASTING & hauntingly heavy as they cling to his from with every step .

Ben & Jerry’s Peanut Butter Cup. I’m pretty sure I’ve expressed my opinion on this ice cream flavor, but, let me say, I get chills.

Air conditioner. I don’t know if every heater I’ve encountered in my life is malfunctioning, but I’m always cold. Air conditioners work.

3. Best thing to put on maple syrup?

French Toast. Also, maple syrup tastes surprising good on chicken.

In all honesty, I don’t really like that many frog memes. They’re better than Spongebob memes though. I suppose Kermit memes are my favorite if I had to pick one.

Uhh... I can’t say I’ve felt so strongly about a fictional character, but if I had to pick a character, it would be my precious son, Nagisa.

They have Megumi Ogata’s voice. Erm... usually if they have some kind of effed-up in the head or are down-right creepy, I like them. Also, if they’re a shoujo manga male lead, I’ll like them. I also love small, cute, and pure characters.

3. A book that made you cry

The first book I cried about was Walk Two Moons; in fact, I still get really sad thinking about it. This is a bad question to ask me; I cry at everything.

4. Do you think you’d be able to murder someone?

Do you think I’m that adept? Also, emotionally I’m not that level of callous or angry.

5. Your favorite character right now from any work and why

Right now, Chuuya has consumed my life. (It’s been an unpredictably long time).

I’d like to meet my internet friends.

God, I’m almost afraid of silence because that’s when the things you don’t want to hear are audible. (Also, under a long period of silence, people go insane). Also, I love music, so that’s an obvious choice!

8. If you could learn any language, what would it be

I would take another stab at Greek. I’m Greek, and I feel a desire to learn the language.

9. If you could bring back to life any character from any book/movie/tv show, who would it be?

I want to say Elliot Nightray, but I have so much respect for the nobility of his death. While I think that reviving a character is a cheap plot device, in a world where I didn’t care about the integrity of the plot, I would bring back either Uncle Oscar or Odasaku--two dads that didn’t deserve to die.
