god I was thinking well I have some old voicemails from when the disability services tried to call me (before they realised I was deaf) so I can test how difficult mobile audio is for me to listen to without lipreading by going thru them! :-) but it just sounds like a big crackly tangle of gibberish. it's so over </3

#not being able to make or take phone calls (unless im very familiar w ppls voices or im super lucky) is the bane of my life #it shuts so many doors for me man #debating whether i just suck it up and call them regardless and pray they have a good mic and an accent i can understand #bc i can always hang up or explain im hoh if it does just sound like nonsense #or if i email instead + risk losing the opportunity bc employers love to discriminate against disabled ppl if they can get away with it #urgh. it makes me feel a little sick to be honest bc i actually rly want this one #maybe ill ask if one of my friends can practice calling over mobile w me aaaa #.diaries
