[march] ugh when the chorus hits there’s this little “dudududu” thing in the bg that’s like this kind of beeping adjacent noise. and I love it so much. i love how this song sounds like there’s not anything I can point to specifically but I rly like it. maybe it’s the fact that like… there’s just so much singing? like the “like a cowboy” immediately leads into more singing. it’s so nice. oh and the guitar thing the song leads with. from that alone I knew I was gonna be into it

2. [ash] did NOT expect to like the song as much as I did! love the effects on the voices here which I don’t usually do. the part before the chorus hits genuinely has my whole heart. i love that like,, kind of menacing sound it has soooo much. im so into that kind of thing. the vernon part is so good too… ash to action is very smooth. this mostly ranks so high because I loveeeee that part before the chorus so much… think shadow might have this spot in a few months if I get tired of it?

3. [shadow] “shadow my shadow my shadow…” I love how they straight up just cut this off to jump into the next part instead of doing like. oh let’s repeat this line but increase the intensity to lead into the next part—oh no the next part just comes in huh. anyways it’s just a banger <3 one of my favorite things abt a lot of svt songs is like. they start and they just keep on going without ever feeling like they lose their momentum? and this was rly like that

4. [DON QUIXOTE] i /adore/ the piano at the beginning of this song. it makes the whole thing sound really bright! mostly I just feel like this song didn’t really Go Places? which is fine, bc I still like it, but I do wish it did a little More

5. [domino] i like the instrumental! it’s a lil bouncy despite the song overall feeling quite soft. also I love how it sounds whenever they go here we gooooo. here we gooooo.

6. [IF you leave me] there’s this like piano breakdown where it feels like the piano is like. offbeat compared to their vocals and the tempo of the song is increasing? and it’s soooo cool I’m into it. this was a very nice song I loved hearing the layers in it. i think ballads are always very slow for me to get into, though.

7. [‘bout you] cute and peppy!! and I love the harmonies they add a lot of charm to the whole thing

8. [HOT] ok I personally just don’t vibe with the like… hot, hot, hot bit? the rest of the song I love so much though. but especially like man the first minute of this song… so good. and the post chorus bit. what I was really surprised with was that u actually rly liked the effects on the voices! like 90% of the time I dislike that kind of thing but I think it rly fit here. guess they nailed that down on ash and this song huh

and agreed omg <3 the buildups and the general arrangement of svteenie songs really does feel v cohesive and consistent!! also not to pick a bone with... the new genre of making frankenstein songs (i like them sometimes), but sustaining momentum really makes the song much more fulfilling to listen to if that makes sense
