When did you last see someone you know in public? I saw Pau at UPTC last weekend which was a nice surprise.

Do you enjoy going to the dentist? Does anyone, like, *actively* enjoy being at the dentist? Haha but I mean have no qualms with dentist appointments; I'll say that much. I find the procedures quite soothing anyway. Even if it's to pull out a tooth or something, I'm fine with, since they're just there to help out.

When did you last eat something you didn’t like? I tried the chili cheese flavor from Potato Corner for the first time, but I ended up not really liking it that much since it was way too spicy.

Do you think you’d survive if zombies took over the world? Well, probably not. I'd lack the street smarts.

When did you last hang out with a bunch of friends at one time? Sometime last year, can't remember when exactly. I saw my college friends.

What kind of music is your least favorite? Country.

Are you and your best friend complete opposites? Mmm I wouldn't say completely. We have some stark contrasts here and there but we also have a few similar beliefs/hobbies/interests.

Would people around you say you’re regularly a mean person? I don't think so. They might tell you I'm cranky or moody, because I am; but probably (and I hope lol) not mean.

Do you like the colour yellow at all? Some shades are pleasing to the eye but overall I wouldn't pick yellow as a first color for, like, anything.

If you were to write a novel, what would it be about? I'll just stick to writing a memoir.

Are you currently pretending to be someone’s friend? No, that's an awful thing to do.

Are you an impatient person? Definitely can be.

Why do you think some actors don't want to see their movies/shows? They're highly self-critical and are never pleased with their performance. At least that's how I know it to be from pro wrestlers.

Would you rather use napkins or paper towels? Idk, napkins I guess. I don't really have a preference.

Do you go to the pool in the summer time very often? No cause it's such a hassle to clean up and rid your body of all the chlorine lol (or if at the beach, all the sand). I just prefer to have the aircon on and stay indoors, away from the sun as much as possible.

Have you ever had a serious issue involving your eyes? Apart from the time a distant relative purposely hurled a glass bottle purposely targeting my eye because idk he is an unhinged little fuck, there's just my eyesight which is progressively getting worse.

Have you ever watched South Park? Who’s your favorite character? I've never seen an episode.

Do you have sensitive teeth? I have one lower tooth which has a tendency to get sensitive.

Do you enjoy or hate snow days? Why is this your choice? Uhm no but we have typhoon days which I guess is the closest thing? I selfishly liked them because it meant suspended classes.

Do you turn pale when you get sick? I don't think so, because I've never been told that.

Does it bother you to get shots in the mouth? Does it hurt? I've only gotten those when I needed to get wisdom tooth extractions, and in those cases I was just mostly grateful because it meant my pain was going to come to an end lol.

When did you last talk seriously with one of your parents? Few months ago when I was still crying and confiding to my dad about work.

What is the day of the week currently? Tuesday.

Is anything exciting coming up in the next three months? Jin coming back, BTS' 11th anniversary, and our family trip to Vietnam...all happening within the same week hahaha.

What are your views on our current president? He's a little shit.

Is it awkward to see your best friend’s parents out in public? No. I'd run to them and give them a hug if that's the case. They're already considered family.

Is there a television show out there that you never miss? I watch Raw weekly, but that's pretty much it.

What movie have you seen too many times to be healthy? Two for the Road and Room.

What is your biggest responsibility in your household? I'd say the task I take the most seriously is keeping the dogs' health in check and taking them to the vet. Shots and checkups aren't cheap, and that's a responsibility I'm more than happy to cover.

How cold did it get where you live, last winter? Back in Jan-Feb in our winterless country we reached temps of 24-25C, which was a delight.

Do you ever wish you could go back in time to redo something? No.

Ever accidentally pull out a filling from your tooth? Nope.

Do you ever wonder what your exes are doing? Not really.

Have you ever been caught in a huge lie with your parents? Sure.

Do you ever listen to the radio anymore? Only when the Bluetooth decides to be a brat and the car can't locate my phone.

23 february 2023—🐶💓🥺

went to uptc last night ♡ finally got to try the fat seed's truffle mac and cheetos. borg and port also got to play inside the barkyard. they dont understand the purpose of the obstacles. lol. they also met a 4 year-old poodle named biscocho (((but he's not in the media above +++ hehe his name izzo adorbs—biscocho))). hehe.

im always looking forward to having days like this. my rest days usually look like staying at home and enjoying doing nothing, trying out a new or familiar cafe with moosey, going to museums, visiting family, or just taking the dogs out for a date. they love malls, especially port!

manila illustration fair 2024

went to manila illustration fair with sam! i haven't seen her in forever! will never stop bringing up the fact that we've been friends since we were in kindergarten!

we met at gyud fud. can't believe i was literally there studying for the bar a year ago! malayo pa pero malayo na or something! i had siam thai vegetarian pad thai while sam had green chicken curry. i also had a melon shake from one of the stalls. i've turned into such a drink girlie lately and probably need to turn it down a notch.

we went to the college of fine arts and got lost for a bit before eventually making it to manila illustration fair 2024. we had rose tea from saglit café and it tastes like what it says it is! their stall was filled with flowers and coffee paraphernalia. added to my list of cafés to visit.

we were definitely impressed by all the artwork. would have bought from all the stalls, if i could! also bumped into so many familiar faces. the kuya from everything's fine, nikki bonuel, tala, and jill! was thinking of yuji the entire time. i miss him! i'm sure he would have loved the pieces.

exhausted from the walking and buying, we went to UPTC for red mango. i had blueberry and fruity pebbles. i kind of miss eating cereal. i know it's sugary and probably bad for me, but i remember eating that everyday until college. i've been wanting to buy lucky charms for a while now, but it's just a bit too expensive right now.

sam watched me at yayoi. chicken namban craving finally satisfied. i accompanied sam to merkato and there's just something so fun about doing errands with your friends. i didn't even need to buy anything but just being with sam was so fun. it takes me back to buying probably too much alcohol and chips and going to someone's house and playing music loud enough to wake everyone. maybe i'm still her and growing up doesn't have to be boring.

di ko naman sya masabihan kasi alam kong mas pipiliin nya talagang magstay sa tabi ng kuya nya. nagsorry nga sya sa akin kasi hindi raw sya nakapunta sa grad day ko hahaha jusko malungkot nga yung araw na yun sa akin eh diba dapat masaya ako non kasi tapos na? pero hindi, after kasi nung graduation, nagpalit lang ako agad ng damit at dumerecho mag isa sa jabee UPTC tapos nag grab na lang si mama pauwi. iniinsist nyang kumain kami sa labas pero ako na yung umayaw. gusto ko nga sana ayain si May eh kaso hahahahaha may tampo pa nga sa akin si mama hanggang ngayon at hindi ko alam kung kailan yun mawawala. sabi nya kasi sa akin hindi raw sya nirereplyan ni May. nagalit nga sya sa akin sa ginawa ko kay May eh, pero.. ayun.

so ayun na nga, nabanggit kasi ni bonnie sakin noon na si kuya marco nya yung umalalay sa kanya nung fresh pa breakup nila ni warren. silang dalawa raw palagi yung nagddate saka binibilhan sya ng mga kung anong gusto nya. spoiled na spoiled daw sya sa kuya nya.

pineplay nya on repeat yung Bawat Piyesa ng Munimuni tapos bigla na lang syang iiyak ulit. nakaearphones lang ako tapos paulit ulit yung Same Ground version ni Beloved Abe. tulala nga lang ako dito sa upuan tapos tinitingnan ko yung mga tao, classmates, friends at relatives nila. naisip ko tuloy, may pupunta kaya sa burol ko? di naman na baleng wala hahaha

nafifeel ko na naman nga sarili kong nakaisolate na naman ng ilang araw. ewan ko, ayoko na bumalik sa dating ako kasi lumabas na nga ako eh. nakakainis lang ayoko na maging malungkot. ayoko na umiyak. ayoko na rin maging mahina kasi wala naman akong kakapitan na kundi sarili ko. nakakainis lang. sobrang nakakainis.

Another week survived.

So as usual and expected, another busy work week.

I was actually late to my usual schedule at the gym twice. The first one was because I went with Gie to Kenny Rogers Roasters (not sponsored) after work for the food for the next day's meetings. Then the next day, the meetings went beyond 5 PM. Thanks *** ******* for eating our time.

I was quite proud of myself for still finishing my workouts despite me feeling I was speed running them.

It's my scheduled date with Marianne this weekend. We went to UPTC and went grocery shopping with her friend. I bought two bigass mouthwash for my use at our office just because I saw them discounted.

I actually hurt myself at the grocery since I accidentally dropped one of the cartons of milk at the shelf while I was looking at them. I positioned my body to cushion the fall but hit my side on the shopping cart in the process. My left torso hurts a bit now lol.

We also went to the arcade where we finally had a picture at the photobooth. I wanted to have a picture of us together at a photobooth since I wanted to have a picture of us at my wallet.

Narrator: The picture, once printed, was not wallet sized.

We also went to the karaoke machine, but I did most of the singing.

It's a Sunday night again and I'm not looking forward to tomorrow so I may stay awake for a while to delay the inevitable.

dear ponyo,

huh, guess that’s just gonna be the norm — i write to you in the wee hours of the day when dad is asleep and my mind is in shambles.

anyhow, hi baby. mom here. dad and i finally went to the doctor to get his condition seen. it’s my first in a long time to be in uptc because medical city moved from the regicenter to uptc. no worries because all is well and dad is very much on his way to recovery. bambi started playing again, which is nice because she hasn’t been able to do that while recovering from the surgery. we finished a nice series again, it’s called derek and was written by ricky garvais. he’s a funny guy, i hope you’d seen more of his shows while you were here. also a shocker today: i made dad choose between a new movie and lotr, and he said he wanted a new movie! had to open the weather app to see if hell has frozen over.

how are you? are you still fat? do you play more now? i really wish you could tell us how you’re doing. i think it would do dad good, he hasn’t been okay mentally and physical since you left. neither do i but i have to be strong for dad. i have slip-ups though. sometimes i get frustrated that it seems like i can’t help dad enough that he’s nursed back to health. then again, patience is everything. i gave you too much space thinking you just wanted alone time that i didn’t notice death was knocking on your door already. i don’t want that to happen to dad, or any of your sisters for that matter. so i don’t leave them to themselves as much as possible. i wanna see them most of the time so i’m on top of everything. so i’d always be there to save anyone.

i’m sorry i wasn’t around when you went. i thought you had more time. do cats forgive? i hope you do. because there isn’t a day that goes by that i don’t think of a way or another to have saved you and agonize that i didn’t. i miss you, a lot. i miss you so much that i’m too sad to think of creative ways i could describe the longing. i just… miss you. so. much. never have i wanted the impossible this much until now. i wish i could turn back time and save you. i’d give anything to have you back.

um. dad got you girls flower pillows. i wore one on you soon as we opened the parcel. milo didn’t like it on her but bambi lived with it. when they saw each other wearing pillows, they couldn’t tell who the other cat was. dad and i found it funny for a while until bambi was visibly stressed so we took off milo’s.

today’s the last day your sisters are gonna take antibiotics. bambi’s healing so fast it almost as if she could do it on her own from now on. but we won’t do that of course. i’m attaching a photo of bambi using her flower and i’ll be off to bed. you should too.
