i tried to not talk to much but like... if im given the chance to talk about kev by god i will. tucking under the cut <3
oh fuck. where do i even begin. i really just feel like- as far as it goes in f1- he's just pretty grounded. like everything u see in his interviews is just 'this guy is here to race'. he is just some guy who wants to go fast !! and that means that he really feels so much more nonchalant and straightforward to me than other drivers. he does not give a shit just give him a car and let him go. also he's just so. ugh loving towards the people in his life. like he's pretty private but when he talks about his family it just is so <3 also just him being a wet cat introvert is so personal. he's just very contained and keeps to himself and idk its very endearing AND it makes the whole narrative of him being misunderstood and portrayed as this extremely aggressive driver compelling to me. do i get he was a little bitchboy yes however the whole people (esp in dts) acting like he's some bad boy is hilarious when hes just some lil guy. on a more shallow note: he is extremely hot and im so obsessed with his smile (the EYE crinkles!)

Dear Jeremy Joseph,
On November 21st, Netta Barzilai, Israel’s 2018 Eurovision winner, will perform at Heaven. We would like to outline the reasons why we – as Palestinians, queers and allies – strongly oppose this appearance, which will be used by the Israeli government to pinkwash its inhumane policies against Palestinians.
Israel regularly uses culture to cover up, justify and distract from its oppressive regime of military occupation and apartheid against the Palestinian people. It also cynically exploits LGBTQ rights to pinkwash its violations of international law, which is why Palestinian queer activists have issued a call for a boycott of Netta’s concerts.
In 2005, the absolute majority of Palestinian civil society issued a call urging the international community to support their nonviolent resistance to settler colonialism, occupation and apartheid. The Boycott, Divestment & Sanctions (BDS) movement is strictly institutional, targeting the complicity of Israeli cultural institutions, and does not call for a boycott of individual Israeli artists. However, BDS does call for the activities of those who represent the state of Israel – or are clearly part of Israel’s “Brand Israel” programme – to be boycotted. “Brand Israel” is designed to project the idea that Israel is a bastion of liberalism and democracy, concealing its violations of human rights and international law.
Since her Eurovision win, Netta has become a willing cultural ambassador for Israel, and has embraced her role in whitewashing Israel’s crimes against the Palestinian people. This is something that she has publicly acknowledged, saying in a July 2018 interview with the Associated Press: “Israel is awesome. There are fantastic people here... [but] we have bad PR in the world.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has referred to Netta as “the best ambassador of Israel.” Israeli government institutions regularly promote Netta’s performances. The Israeli consulate in the US promoted her show in North Carolina and the Israeli embassy in Austria promoted her performance in Vienna.
Whilst acting as a cultural ambassador for Israel, Netta also participates in pinkwashing, the effort to use LGBTQ rights to cover up continuing human rights violations against Palestinians. She has performed at Tel Aviv Pride (also sponsored by the Israeli government) as well as Pride events all over Europe. Her performance at Heaven, a legendary queer nightclub, is a continuation of this pinkwashing. We again draw your attention to the call by Palestinian queers calling for a boycott of Netta’s performances for these reasons.
Netta’s performance in your venue is inherently political. We ask that you cancel Netta’s show, refuse to participate in the pinkwashing of Israel’s apartheid regime, and stand on the right side of history. This is the minimum asked by Palestinians: that you do not undermine the struggle for freedom, justice and equality.

Paper 2 for General Aptitude it is of 200 marks having 100 questions each having 2 marks with no negative marking. It is qualifying paper you need to score 40% marks in it to qualify and it can be easily done.
MPPSC Mains: Study Plan -

I- MPPSC General Studies Paper I

Prepare your own notes and try to cover this portion in 5-6 days. Notes will help you in revision.
III- MPPSC General Studies Paper III
The first half of MPPSC GS paper 3 covers Indian Economy, whereas other half has these important topics: Science & Technology, Reasoning, and DI, Environment, Energy etc.
For Indian economy, you may refer to Sharma Academy's video lectures or Indian Economy by S.N.Lal. These sources will give you an insight on almost every topic mentioned in the syllabus. Along with this, read the summary of ‘Indian Economic Survey’ and ‘Indian & State Budget 2018’. Also, go through the schemes for rural, urban, and agriculture sector. Try to complete it in 5-6 days.
Fo Environment section, you can refer NCERT Books, you can also read these topics from the internet. As environment portion is limited so complete it in two days.
For Science & Technology, the best strategy is to read out the particular topic from Science NCERT class 7-10. And for emerging technologies refer any notes or read it from various internet feeds. It will take two days to complete this part.
For Reasoning, practice the type of questions asked in previous year papers. Refer the source you used for CSAT preparation during prelims preparation.
IV- MPPSC General Studies Paper IV
GS paper 4 is all about ethics and case studies. Student needs to have a clear perspective and positive mindset to attempt this paper. Some of the topics you can read from any book like Ethics by Lexicon Publication or by Arihant. Try to mug up as many thinkers as you can because in past lot of many questions were asked from this topic.
Around 75 marks out of 200 are from case studies and the easiest way to score in them is to practice as many case studies as you can. Cover the entire ethics paper in 4-5 days.
V- MPPSC Paper V: General Hindi
This paper checks your proficiency in Hindi language. Study Hindi Grammar from any standard book and practice letter, report writing etc to secure good marks and take an edge from other students. Do not devote any particular day for this paper, instead, try to give one our daily to finish one topic from syllabus each day.
VI- MPPSC Paper VI: Essay
This paper has the least weightage but it doesn’t mean it is less important. For essay preparation, read newspaper daily to have good content with you and practice one or two essays every Sunday to get proficiency in writing the essay.
The above preparation will take around 35-40 days to cover the whole syllabus once. Then in the remaining days try to revise whatever you read at least two times. One more thing, like study, practice is also very much important for mains examination. Therefore, you must daily do some answer writing practice, or you can join a test series. National Assembly sends bill on proceeds of crime to Buhari

The National Assembly has transmitted the Proceeds of Crime Bill to President Muhammadu Buhari for assent. It is aimed at boosting the fight against corruption. The bill, which was transmitted on Monday, is considered as one of the key legal instruments in the fight against corruption. The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Financial Crimes, Kayode Oladele, confirmed this in an interview with journalists in Abuja. He said the Proceeds of Crime Bill, 2017 was a 12-part legislation which would make provisions for the confiscation, forfeiture and management of property derived from unlawful activities. He said it would be a landmark in the effort to stem the tide of corruption in the country when the President assented the bill. The Proceeds of Crime Bill, 2017 (HB 872) was read for the first time on December 7, 2016. On January 18, 2017, the House referred the bill to the Committee of the Whole for consideration, pursuant to Order XII Rule 16 of the House of Representatives Standing Orders. Meanwhile Dogara, on Tuesday faulted the current oil production sharing formula between Nigeria and the Joint Venture Companies, describing it as unfavourable. He stated this at the opening of a public hearing by the Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream) on a bill for an Act to amend the Deep Offshore and Inland Basin Production Sharing Act, CAP D3 2004. He said the passage of the proposed amendment bill was not only imperative but long overdue. He said the current sharing formula had become unrealistic and was not favourable to the country. He noted that the oil sector was the mainstay of Nigeria’s economy. Dogara said the bill under consideration was aimed at ensuring higher earnings to government from offshore operations. He said, “In this era of economic doldrums in the country, the passage of this bill will help to shore up our earnings from oil, cushion the economic hardship and ameliorate our burden of budget deficit. “The production sharing contracts were made as far back as 1993. The formula used has, no doubt, become unrealistic and not favourable to the country. This makes the passage of this amendment bill not only imperative but overdue. “It is a bill that promotes equity and fairness between the government and our joint venture companies. “The need for equity and fairness in the business environment cannot be over-emphasised. In this regard, I want to implore our joint venture operators to always cooperate with the government in ensuring transparency in the oil sector.” The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream), Nwokolo Victor, said the public hearing was as a result of the resolution of the House on April 24, 2019. He assured the people that the committee was working to improve the socio-economic well-being of Nigerians. In a memorandum submitted to the committee, the Oil Producers Trade Section expressed concerns about the Deep Offshore and Inland Basin Production Sharing Contracts (Amendment) Bill, 2018 (PSC Amendment Bill), which introduced a royalty rate of 50% on revenues above $20/bbl (1993 real terms, translating to $35lbbl in 2019) in addition to existing water-depth based royalties. The OPTS said, “This would be in addition to already existing statutory obligations in form of taxes, fees, levies, tariffs, and NNPC profit oil.” It warned that the bill, if passed, would increase government revenue in the short-term but that  it would diminish economic viability of deepwater projects. The development, it added, would stall deepwater investments in Nigeria and negatively impact production, Federal Government revenue, local jobs.   Read the full article

“The Office of the President and the PSC family congratulate Caloy (Yulo’s nickname) on this achievement. Mabuhay ang atletang Pilipino! (Long live the Filipino athletes),” Ramirez said.
Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president Abraham ‘Bambol’ Tolentino said Yulo’s accomplishment should serve as an inspiration to Filipino athletes, particularly those who will compete in the SEA Games which the Philippines will host from Nov. 30 to Dec. 11 this year.
“We would like to congratulate Caloy Yulo and the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines (GAP) in producing a world champion. His hard work and dedication paid off,” Tolentino said.
GAP president Cynthia Carrion said Yulo’s victory “will have a huge impact on Philippine gymnastics since we have proven that we can produce world champions in the sport”.
“We hope that we will get more supporters for the sport now with his success,” she added.
Yulo and Japanese coach Munehiro Kugimiya, who were earlier scheduled to fly back to Tokyo to resume training, were prevailed upon by Carrion first to return to Manila because Ramirez was arranging for all three of them to pay a courtesy call on Duterte in Malacanang on Wednesday.

That was a big help)," said Yulo. "It was God who gave me this gold because I could not have done it on my own."

He earlier qualified for the men's all-around event as early as Monday when he finished 18th in the qualifiers, and underscored that the feat was no fluke when he placed No. 10 in the finals last Friday.
"I'm a bit scared now," admitted Yulo, knowing that he would be a marked man in the event in the Tokyo Olympics.

Background
Humanitarian needs in north-east Nigeria have grown enormously since mid-2014, when attacks by Boko Haram became more frequent and intense. According to the National Emergency Management Agency, there are   nearly 1.5 million internally displaced persons (IDPs) in six north-eastern states as a result of the insurgency. OCHA’s role is to support humanitarian actors to ensure that relief assistance reaches the people who are in need in a timely and effective manner. OCHA’s support includes reporting on the humanitarian situation and raising awareness on humanitarian needs and gaps in the provision of assistance. In 2018, OCHA will continue to:
Advocate for access to basic services, especially water, sanitation, education and health for vulnerable communities, including the collection, analysis and dissemination of information to humanitarian partners, and negotiation of access.
Support the government efforts and humanitarian organizations in relocation of the IDPs and their returnees.
Coordinate the implementation of humanitarian response in Nigeria with UN agencies and programmes, national and international NGOs and local authorities/communities as appropriate, with focus on strengthening coordination.
Enhance a protective environment that respects the human rights of all, including IDPs, returnees and minority clans.
The Public Information Assistant will focus most on reporting under the direct supervision of the Public Information Officer
Duties and Responsibilities
Internal/External Weekly Report to ROWCA:  Collecting and collating inputs from field offices/units and drafting reports for the country office (feeding into the regional products) to ensure visibility of key issues, activities and events including political, humanitarian and security developments related to the humanitarian situation and response. Frequency – Weekly
Daily operational update to Coordination and Response Division CRD:  Collecting, collating and analyzing information on key humanitarian, security and political issues from multiple sources including sub-offices, media reports, policy documents from government and reports from partners to update the CRD (in NY and Geneva) on key developments in the operational context. Frequency – Daily.
Media relations: (i) Building and maintaining relationship with national and international media to promote visibility of the humanitarian situation including the gaps and response activities of humanitarian partners; (ii) Building and updating contact list of leading national and international media agencies; (iii) Arranging materials and logistics for press  briefings and ensuring full participation of leading media agencies at press briefings; (iv) Following up to ensure wide and accurate dissemination of OCHA press releases/reports in national and international media; (v) Arranging interviews and briefings for high level delegations with leading media; (vi) Organizing regular meetings for the Humanitarian Coordinator with editors of leading national media to promote understanding and visibility of key issues relating to the crisis and response; (vii) Organizing regular media dialogues to promote understanding and reporting on the crisis by national media providers.
Situation Awareness: Monitoring the media (national and international), reports and policy documents (from partners and government) to collate information on key political, humanitarian and security developments that have implications for humanitarian operations. Timely flagging and dissemination of key information to guide and advise colleagues/managers on appropriate actions based on peculiar understanding of the context.
Regular field trips to facilitate media missions/collate information for reports: Making regular field trips to interact and collate information from multiple sources including partners and affected populations (for reports, daily operational/regional updates etc.) and facilitating missions for national and international media agencies to ensure global visibility for the crisis and response.
Secretarial support to the Humanitarian Communications Working Group (HCWG): Facilitating and managing the HCWG activities including meeting schedules, follow-up on action points, drafting minutes of meetings, and dissemination of key information to ensure a coordinated approach to humanitarian response.
Liaising with key stakeholders to facilitate media access to operational areas: Facilitating and supporting engagements with key actors including NEMA, SEMA, ministry of information, military high command and other stakeholders to ease national and international media access to operational areas to promote visibility of the crisis and response activities of the UN and partners.
Support to Information Management Unit on information products: The PIA drafts texts, based on contemporary humanitarian issues, to support IM products including situation overview and dashboards, displacement and incident snapshots and IDP profiles.
Support to Desk Officer on information gathering/clarification: Handling enquiries and requests to bridge gap between NY desk and country office with the overall aim of promoting visibility of the context at strategic levels.
Support to capacity building training for colleagues and partners: The PIA provides support in organizing training, seminars and workshops to build writing/reporting capacity of colleagues and partners.
Inputs for social media: The PIA stands in for the PIO when s/he is on leave
Performs any other tasks assigned by the supervisor and/or the Head of Office.
Impact of Results Contribute to strong and analytical communications products through good research and analysis of assigned topics, and through well-reasoned written contributions, effective and timely liaison and interaction with colleagues and concerned parties internally and externally. Play a strategic role in identifying trends related to humanitarian issues. Develop innovative approaches to deal with technical reporting issues. Education:  
A Master’s degree or equivalent in international relations, communications, journalism or a related field
Experience:

Fluency in oral and written English required.
Database management skills a plus.
