Canon Derrek: angst, doesn’t trust anybody, is trying to skirt around a crisis he can feel coming and doesn’t want to face but he doesn’t know where he’s going next and there’s so much that it overwhelms him,

Ah where he’s dating Geryon Derrek: also angst but this time that’s the focus and he knows exactly the mess he’s in- he chose it and continues to choose it. And also there’s a healthy side serving of Geryon being soft with someone for once* in his stinky life and Derrek asking for comfort when he’s distressed.

#*he has been soft to people before but like. not often. mostly just people he’s dating. an occasionally Syl? but not often. he was kind of a #dick to ver when he was around Bc like. they were a science experiment and he didn’t expect to end up having to be a parent? and then he #decided he wasn’t gonna be. and now ve has issues.#‘gee Syl how come you get to have 7+ parents?’ ‘because the one responsible for teaching me how to be a person was Geryon Amnes and that #didn’t go very well. as one might assume’#this turned into a rant #Geryon and Syl are a pair of vent characters and now Geryon is dead* and Syl has a mom figure who is a giant cat sometimes and *will* curl #up around ver and purr until ve falls asleep. and also she can and will mail anyone that hurts ver. erellise included.#she doesn’t know about Geryon yet or she’d be out for blood #fun fact I love Anna :)#10/10 short unintimidating and also 6 foot cat with faintly iridescent black fur and purple eyes who loves her people very very much #rae 🤝 Syl: not telling Anna things because they don’t want to potentially harm the people who hurt them. directly or indirectly.#ok this was supposed to be a post talking about Geryon and Derrek again but now I’m here. now I’m on about Syl and I will not apologize for #it I don’t talk about ver nearly often enough #I still haven’t entirely decided where vis storyline is going next but like. in the meantime? they’re getting a lot of hugs from Anna and #hand holds from rae #hey fun fact Syl doesn’t have to eat food but ve can and it does boost vis magic a very little bit #ve really likes hot cocoa. and also soup but vis favorite thing to consume is hot cocoa. either way it’s just. holding a warm mug you can #sip out of. 10/10 warm #ve likes laying into Anna’s ribs when she’s a cat for a similar reason. 10/10 very soft very warm also low deep rumbly purrs #.....hey since i decided Syl was gonna go to erellise I also decided she and Karen are wives and like #Karen is gonna be. Fascinated #of course she’ll be nice. she might be the one who invites Syl to stay in the manor if ve wants Bc like... E is pretty professional about #people she makes deals with. whereas Karen has unofficially adopted people she doesn’t know well before. looks pointedly at lucky #oh god lucky would scare Syl at first 😅#she’s a lot sometimes and Syl would be Intimidated. but in that way when you’re in middle school and see high schoolers and you’re like ‘oh #god oh no they’re cool I can’t interact with them ever’ way? ya that #......consider: lucky bringing souvenirs for Syl when she drops by. it wouldn’t be for any reason and they Would Not know how to respond but #she’s just like ‘hey Karen likes this one so ve must be pretty chill’ and then ve is #character rambles
