Following along with the theme of loving a god being the equivalent of entering a toxic relationship that is EXACTLY what Narinder has done. Praising and encouraging the lamb for their actions in killing the other bishops. Getting them to open up about all these personal details while simultaneously never revealing anything about himself (shit man SHAMURA is the one to tell the Lamb that his name even is Narinder!) The worst part is that it is at least partially genuine. There IS something there as with the other bishops and their relationships, but they are gods and such can only respond as gods always do. By drinking in all the devotion, and only giving something back when they want to. Things are healing now, but it'll never be the same as it was. Now Narinder finds himself stuck in a situation where he is noticing the slow and steady creep of "godhood" in the lamb, and is trying to keep Lamb grounded to their mortality. Now he's the one in the position of giving devotion, and its important that his quest succeeds, because he knows no matter the outcome he's not getting off the wild ride. Shamura, my fella, where do I begin with you. They have been a god for the longest. The oldest, and we don't even know how much even older they are than Kallamar. The only thing we know for certain about Shamura's age is that they have been alive since the glory age of gods. They have been divinity for unfathomably long, and were the closest to what it should mean. However, they have been upheld as god for so long I think its fundamentally warped every single relationship Shamura has. Does this make them evil? No, but it makes it hard to treat anyone outside of their family as an equal. Even after becoming mortal, just from what I've seen, they STILL are on a pedestal. The other bishops remember the big and wise older sibling. The LAMB, the only actual god left, is begging THEM for help. So Shamura will help alright, by telling the Lamb all about the warped ways they believe a god should perceive the world. I think Shamura needs, whether platonically or romantically (I don't know your headcanon for their orientation), for someone to get mad at them. Saying what is true but saying it in a cold/cruel way is very "i'm a god and can say what I want without consequence" behavior. Someone needs to shove this nerd into a chair and give a passionate "I don't know how to explain that you should care about other people" speech. Anyways that is all. thinking ab nyo ace fam dynamics... amelia has first born son privilege and alice has boymom brainrot. shes naturally a tomboy and while she doesnt see alice as accepting of that at all, alice considers herself very permissive and encouraging of her masculinity. she forces the superficial aspects of femininity on her, yes, but she encourages her studies and athleticism and independence- up until a point of course cant be too independent haha nooo dont leave me bbygrl nooooo dont leave- but she does set up young amelia's life in a way that she was essentially a wealthy young woman in the colonies whose money gave the privilege of not needing to play silly little social games and local politics, essentially above it all, dont give a fuck about the humans darling they are beneath you, and the only men who had any power over her were the actual governers and of course parlement back home in england. But her daily life was privileged to the extreme in that england's money compensated for her being female.

maddie on the other hand uogh maddie bbygrlll she has eldest daughter torment. i think by the time she's in england's hands shes already a demure girly girl. i blame france. little maddie is cautious and yet desperate for attention but too scared to demand it so she does her best to be perfectly obedient and pretty and proper so that england will love her. i think even in modern day alice thinks of maddie as a crybaby, because she was a crybaby as a child and as an adult she's much more restrained but to alice nah shes still a crybaby. growing up as englands good little girl her pretty princess is going to fuck anyone up in the head especially when you're still not even her favorite so yeah maddie makes herself small and accomodating and fulfills whatever role alice needs her to be she shoves down her own feelings so she can be alice's therapist or mommy... average seven year old girl who is parenting her twenty two year old mother.... i think if she had tested boundaries and tried to grow more independent (as a PERSON lol) she maybe would have gotten even more leeway than amelia, but it would have come from a place of yeah do whatever you want kid i dont care... and maddie WANTS her to care so she doesnt push boundaries she has no reason to want to when all she wants is to be the favorite child she wants mommy to love her unconditionally. so she basically ends up stunted emotionally. she never really grows up she still depends on mom a lot... i think alice does see her as an overgrown baby like maddie is always asking for permission unnecessarily she feels like shes infantilizing maddie or that maddie is infantalizing herself. and now that they are both older alice may feel bad for creating this dynamic for them but god is it nice to have someone to call knowing she'll answer regardless of the time and listen to her drunken ranting and crying and being vulnerable to her babygirl the one person she can confide in, confident that it wont be used against her because maddie is so so loyal. and yet she still blames it all a bit on maddie and resents her for being that way. grow up. pull yourself together. why are you asking me. who cares. i dont care. grow up.

UOGH MIMICROW !!!!!! my token toxic yuri........

crow works in a witchy type shop in windmill village run by their mentor and creator, selene the luna moth. they met mimic one day when he burst into the shop while they were in the back, seeming to have just been running. undisguised, panicking, and caught off guard, mimic introduced himself as.... mirror.

they talk for a little bit, mimic becoming intrigued by crows demeanor and the chao that seemed to be physically attached to them. after a chat about their work as well as a few questions about their spirituality, mimic unceremoniously leaves while crows back is turned, escaping out the front door disguised as them.

as a surprise to them, mimic starts coming in frequently, becoming a sort of regular. he comes in once a week, around an hour before closing, to chat with crow. he never buys anything and crow never sees HIM come through the door.

in mimics mind, he was just biding his time. he likes messing with people, so why not mess with this strange local? but in truth he has no end goal. is it messing with someone if youre just... pretending to be friendly? if anything, hes playing it risky by coming back to windmill village so much when hes on the run. and was he really just pretending? did he actually like them? want to be friends with them? all of the confusing feelings inside of mimic come to a point when he finds himself in a spiral similar to the one he had before he helped kill the diamond cutters, and he settles on a solution to the problem: do it again.

so when the day passes by at the shop and crow doesnt see mimic at his usual time, theyre confused, but assume hes just busy and just close the store. as theyre in the back finishing up, they dont notice the front door bell ring slightly, or the shuffle of footsteps, or the shadow in the doorway behind them. what does catch their attention is a muted yell from the spirits surrounding them and the feeling of being stabbed in the back.

following this mimic has an encounter with haunt the chao, puppeteering crows body, scolding him for being so rude, to mimics INCREDIBLE confusion. haunt hints that they will be back, and that mimic better have an explanation for what hes done. mimic escapes disguised as crow once again, in a panic over his failed plan.

between this event and their next meeting, tangle & whisper and the metal virus saga happens, and crow becomes acquainted with the restoration, sonic and co., ect. with selene's blessing, they start working at the shop less and spending time with the restoration more. the next time they see mimic is when he goes undercover as duo, and spirits begin frantically trying to warn crow to avoid him.

they instead get friendly with him to keep an eye on him. if anything at this point they just want an explanation for what happened. they confront him alone one day, pressing until he cracks. after he confesses, crow makes a deal that they wont tell the others as long as he doesnt hurt anyone else and he talks to them about what happened. he takes the deal with no intention to uphold his side, and they start talking again.

he gives them some bullshit story about how he got bad info from a guy who wanted them gone, but they press for details hard enough that he just gives up and blurts out that he knew they were gonna turn on him eventually. crow questions this line of thinking - why would they turn on what they thought was one of their only friends? why would he think so negatively of them? and mimic cant answer. so they leave him to think about it. and he does.

he visits them in the night, knocking on their window until they wake up. they make him promise to not kill them again and he does, meaning it this time. they sit in crows room and talk for hours about things. one thing leads to another and mimic spends the night. and for the first time in a long time, he feels safe.

over the next couple weeks people at the restoration notice duo and crow spending more time together and start making Assumptions. while crow and mimic arent really official and are more of a situationship rn, mimic, in a stroke of genius (/j), comes up with the idea to lean into it and pretend that duo and crow are dating. duocrow fake dating arc ensues, meanwhile mimic and crow develop their own relationship.

i dont rly have anything else for them atm cuz the phantom rider arc like just wrapped up and theres More Mimic Content on the way continuing from that but YEA!!!!!!!!! eventually theyll be happy and chill..........

for mothadow..... i have like a weird timeline format for them so bear wirh me

so ive decided that sonic dreamers (moths introductory game) is between heroes and shth05, and that shadow is a big side character. eggman sends luna after shadow as well as sonic, and thats technically their first meeting. they officially meet after shadow helps save them, and while shadow is standoffish as usual, moth is able to at least introduce themself and thank him before he leaves. for some reason, something about moth leaves a lasting impression on him.

they meet up again in shadow05, where they have a mission on the hero path, some banter/cutscenes together getting to know each other a bit more. this is kind of when theyre established as more than just acquaintances? its likely around this time where shadow realizes that being around moth gives him a strange sense of calm, almost comfort in a way?

they have a little storyline together in sonic 06, and maybe as a little story treat its hinted that they get together. but all of that is erased in the end

in between 06 and generations they definitely spend time together in their personal lives. shadow starts stopping in to make sure theyre doing okay, since she knows they tend to isolate themself. they invite him out for coffee and shopping. they become genuine friends, moth opens up more about how project luna affected them, their health, and shadow opens up a bit about maria.

moth only has a small role in sonic gens, but thats because they're primarily in shadow gens!!!!!! the time eater drops them off in shadow's area of white space and they have some dialogue lines and cutscenes with him showing off their friendship. moth offers her a hug and she accepts in her own shadow-y way.

i think they officially start dating between shadow gens and forces. maybe a movie night turned long talk about life got a little too feelings heavy and moth confessed that theyve loved shadow for a while now and not telling him is driving them crazy. i havent decided fully how it happens but regardless by the time the war starts theyre dating.

So the DiaRamshackle squad landed in Ignihyde, where they meet the completely aware Idia. They had thought they got out of a dream into the "real world", but it turns out they're just outside of Lilia's dream but still within Malleus' magical domain expansion-- which is Idia's "dream" now. Proof of this is because Sebek's still wearing his armor.

At this point in time, apparently they haven't really conversed with Idia yet. Sebek barely remembers that Idia's the Ignihyde housewarden LOL.

Sebek: "... That's right! I knew I've seen that face before. You're Ignihyde's housewarden! Back at the entrance ceremony, you attended in some sort of board-like thing. This might be the first time I've seen you in proper form."

Apparently, Ortho's appearing in monitor mode for now because trying to appear as his usual form in Idia's dreams causes some serious errors.

So the two let go of him and Idia let's in a HUGE GASP FOR AIR

Idia: "ohh I almost descended to the underworld... Tha-thanks for the save, Ortho..."

So anyway, Sebek starts questioning the two what they mean by Malleus using up resources to put Lilia to sleep. Ortho starts the explanation by recounting events. That during Lilia's farewell party, Malleus put everyone to sleep-- no, froze time and space itself. But Ortho in particular managed to escape from the island through communications satellite. Everyone was shocked because Ortho could do something like that?! Ortho just laughs and says his "peculiarity" was helpful, because while he's not a mage and therefore cannot have a unique magic, he can transmit his "soul" through radio waves.

Sebek: "Loathe as I am to admit... but human advancement in machinery is amazing."

Silver chimes in and praises that Ortho's uniqueness is something they can never attain no matter how hard they train. Ortho moves on, explaining that he went to STYX headquarters and there, they hatched the plan for Ortho to infiltrate Sage Island in order to analyze Malleus' unique magic, Fae of Maleficence.
