Animals are “the image of the world”, wrote Leonardo Da Vinci.⁠ ⁠ Did you know that this great artist, scientist and inventor was also an advocate of animal rights, who spoke out against animals being exploited for food, entertainment, and clothing?⁠ ⁠ He very clearly questioned man’s superiority over animals: “If you are, as you have described yourself, the king of the animals,” he asked, “why do you help other animals only so that they may be able to give you their young in order to gratify your palate?”. He vehemently opposed taking the lives of animals for human consumption, breaking down the walls between “us” and “them”.⁠ ⁠ The artist and biographer Giorgio Vasari (1511-1574) writes that Leonardo was famous for buying caged birds and releasing them “with his own hand out of their cages and having paid for them what was asked of him, he let them fly through the air, giving them back their lost freedom.”⁠ ⁠ It’s time to end animal exploitation. F.R.E.E. International Vehicle Donation

A couple weeks ago we were honored with the opportunity to donate a Dodge Caravan to FREE International in an effort to continue supporting their battle against human and sex trafficking.
