Statement 0240728-B of the Assistant
The following is the written transcript of the recorded Statement 0240728-B of Dr Arian Baumfield, the assistant to the late Dr Apollo Cadence of Mary Bell Medical Facilities. This statement is regarding the domicile of one Dr Andrew Sandgrass, better known as "Unpaid MBRA Intern 2012". I begin.
With no major incident, I have arrived promptly at the house of Dr Andrew Sandgrass. I stand now, in front of his humble home. His house lies at the corner of Tomcat and Willard Street. At first glance, I find the house to be perfectly ordinary, one house surrounded by many like it. There was nothing that set it apart from the others, except there was an atmosphere of loneliness to it. The lights are still on, I can see them glow through the dark curtains. It had been a couple of weeks since Dr Sandgrass had died, I wonder if anyone in this street had noticed.
Well, I suppose I must get inside.
[Sounds of low footsteps are heard. Then, it stops. There is a deafening silence until finally, there are sounds of quiet knocks against the front door.]
Hello?
Imaginably, there is no one there. I cannot even say what compelled me to knock at all. I suppose we must improvise. I am looking here and there, there are no open windows in the house and the front porch is completely empty except for a "Welcome" doormat. [Pause as something that appears to be a doormat is lifted up.] No key here, and there is no other place where a key could possibly be hidden.
Now, I have not come to this place empty-handed. Tragically, I could not bring my satchel bag to this occasion and a huge number of tools and articles were necessary, a few of them were very large. A few mentionable articles that I have brought are the tape recorder, of course, and a lockpick set. Now, I am not sure how apt I will be at picking locks as I have only watched one YouTube video before coming here. So I am hardly prepared but I must still try.
[A zipper is pulled and after a few seconds of rummaging, the sound stops as something is pulled out of the bag. Sounds of clicks followed as the assistant let out several sighs. Evidently, he does not know what he is doing.]
Well. I don't think that worked. A second solution is needed. [He lets out a sigh.] Another thing I have brought is an axe I had acquired from the Home Depot. Now, I know it is highly intemperate but for situations like this and for self-defense, it can be necessary. The axe was entirely my last resort, something I can only use when all else fails but — it will certainly make things easier. I don't think it matters if anyone sees or hears, far stranger things go on in this town. I doubt I will face major repercussions.
Here goes nothing. [Something that sounds like a bag is dropped on the ground and a large object is pulled out carefully. The tape recorder is placed on the ground also. The assistant takes a few steps back and takes a deep breath. Fast running, he charges against the door and there is that loud and piercing sound of wood being torn down. Two or three strikes are placed on the door until the assistant sighs again. The axe is placed inside the bag and it is zipped shut. The assistant picks up the tape recorder and he approaches the door.]
Well, that's done. I had made quite the hole on the door, large enough to poke my arm into and unlock the door from the inside. [Sounds of movement and finally, the door opens immediately with an easy click.] Oh. The door, it was unlocked previously. I didn't need to use the axe. Well. Moving on.
#not the daily words#the assistant#unpaid intern 2012#mary bell radiation authority#THIS IS NOT THE FINAL PART#there will more parts i guess.#i am going to sleep now#so this is part B !!#nothing really happens#except the assistant just arrives at the house

Josip Heit GSPartners Sentenced to Prison for Financial Fraud in Luxembourg
A controversy has erupted over a halted hydroelectric project in Croatia, drawing attention to Sasa Svalina and his brother-in-law, Josip Heit. Heit, who is embroiled in a settlement dispute linked to allegations of securities fraud in a billion-dollar investment scheme, has a complex history of legal troubles and business ventures.
In a detailed report from Jutarnji journalist Dusan Miljus, it was revealed that Heit, before his involvement in Karatbars International, served a prison sentence in Luxembourg for financial fraud. Following his release in 2012, Heit allegedly reinvented himself in Croatia by taking on a new identity. Despite borrowing significant sums, some of which remain unpaid, Heit continued to project the image of a successful entrepreneur, notably driving a luxury Bugatti. His ex-wife’s family, including her uncle Andrej Labudzko—a man connected to the Russian military and trusted by Vladimir Putin—allegedly helped fund Heit’s ventures. Ten years ago, Heit even introduced them to the Una region in Croatia.
Before his legal troubles, Heit’s early career saw him leave school in 1998 to start a business in Croatia focused on luxury tourism and chartering boats. A curious twist to Heit’s financial connections is his apparent use of donations to Ukraine as a marketing strategy for GSPartners, despite his links to Russian financial support. How this played with his Russian-associated relatives is unknown.
Heit, originally born as Josip Curcic in Split, Croatia, changed his surname to Heit after marrying Kristina Heit in 2009. Kristina is a German citizen born in Russia. Following his name change, Heit continued his entrepreneurial activities but remained elusive to the media. Despite repeated attempts by Jutarnji to contact him, only a brief response was given by someone on his behalf, indicating they would pass along the message.
Sasa Svalina, Heit’s brother-in-law, was tracked down in Croatia and confirmed his family relationship with Heit but distanced himself from the halted hydroelectric plant controversy. He denied any business ties with Heit, despite investment connections through one of Heit’s companies. Svalina emphasized that he and Heit were not involved in any joint business ventures and had not been in contact for several months.
Heit’s business trajectory took a pivotal turn with his involvement in Karatbars International, a company founded in 2011 by Harald Seiz. Heit, alongside co-founders Alex Bodi (later imprisoned for organized crime) and Ovidiu Toma, was instrumental in building the company. Karatbars initially focused on selling gold-related products before attempting to transition into cryptocurrency—a move that ultimately led to its downfall in 2019. After the collapse, Heit parted ways with Seiz and shifted his focus to founding GSB Group, setting up shell companies in Kazakhstan in 2020 for cryptocurrency trading. There is little information about these companies beyond self-congratulatory claims of success.
GSB Group later launched GSPartners, which allegedly raised over a billion dollars from 800,000 investors worldwide. However, GSPartners quickly became the subject of regulatory scrutiny and fraud warnings from authorities in various countries. By December 2023, GSPartners had collapsed, with the majority of its investors hailing from North America. In early 2024, Heit and GSB Group reached a settlement with US regulators, agreeing to an enforcement order acknowledging that they had illegally sold securities. While North American investors hope to recover their money, participants from other countries remain in limbo, with their funds still unaccounted for.
As regulatory investigations continue and the possibility of further civil or criminal fraud charges looms, Heit’s global business ventures, including GSPartners, face an uncertain future.

Statement 0240728-C of the Assistant
The following is the written transcript of the recorded Statement 0240728-C of Dr Arian Baumfield, the assistant to the late Dr Apollo Cadence of Mary Bell Medical Facilities. This statement is regarding the domicile of one Dr Andrew Sandgrass, better known as "Unpaid MBRA Intern 2012". I begin.
STATEMENT A
STATEMENT B
[As the tape recorder clicks on, the assistant gives a sigh and walks over to the light switch. It gives a click, and the house is illuminated.]
Hello? Anyone here. [Silence] I find myself inside the house. My apologies to Dr Sandgrass but I find it to be rather pallid and not very lively. Well, I suppose he is unpaid and not one who possesses a lot of wealth. Yet, he does own a house in an acceptable neighbourhood and if he does not have any income at all, it seems surprising that he could own something like this. Perhaps he has an inheritance? His employment papers do not have much detail about his family so I cannot be sure.
I am standing on the foyer and from here, I can see two doors, though I suspect that there may be more if I venture further. His front door opens to his living room-cum-kitchen. His interior design appears to be austere but again, it could be for the lack of material wealth. Everything is in varying shades of gray, white, and brown — there, however, is a pop of color on the paintings he owns. Across his walls are several paintings, aligned neatly, all with various colors. They are all depicting various scenery and landscapes. They are rather pretty and very well-made.
I walk to the living room. A cream-colored six-seater sofa takes most of the space of the living room. Upon closer inspection, I notice that only one seat looks as if it is sat on often. The other seats look untouched. I suspect that he must not have many visitors over. In front of the sofa is a credenza. It is a rather grand arrangement — on top of it is a pristine gramophone, golden and brown. By far, it is the most extravagant article in his house. And it appears to have a record still on it, not yet removed even though the owner of this instrument is dead. [The tape recorder is set down by the gramophone. The room is silent, except for the soft whirring of the tape recorder. The Assistant moved the needle slowly to continue the music playing. The record spun around, the silence of the room being enveloped by the soft violin from Danse Macabre. He let it play on for several seconds before he stopped it with a sigh. He picked up the tape recorder again.
Well, continuing on. By the gramophone, there are several books, neatly arranged, all of them hardcover. Most of them are history books, mostly delving into the subjects of the 1950s and the mid and late 19th century. There are a few books of fiction as well, notable titles being Carmilla, Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, and As I Lie Dying. The credenza does have drawers to it — [Setting the tape recorder down again, he kneels on the bare wooden floors and pulls open a drawer, his hand moving through its contents.]
Just a lot of records, mostly classical music pieces. Nothing of note in the living room, except we have an idea about Dr Sandgrass' interests. I don't suppose that his kitchen could offer anything insightful but it is still necessary to check. The kitchen is not anything special either. Brown wooden wall cabinets, marble countertops, a stove, a microwave, a dishwasher, an oven, and a refrigerator. [The assistant opens and closes cabinets and drawers.] There is not much in his kitchen, only a few appliances and canned food in the cabinets. He keeps his plates and utensils in the dishwasher and they are rather few. Three plates, three bowls, three sets of forks and spoons. Well, that is better than what I possess. Only two sets of everything, one for me and the other for any guests that might come. Though I do not have many visitors.
[The fridge is opened and the sounds of the assistant going through different items can be heard.] There are not many things here. As Dr Sandgrass had died several weeks previous, it is imaginable that the items have started to spoil. You can smell it as soon as you open the fridge. A carton of milk that had long since expired, a container of rotten strawberries, rotten lemons and vegetables. Thankfully, he does not seem to own any meat, that would rather be malodorous. One moment.
[He pulls another cabinet and pulls a black garbage bag. Promptly, he opens it and gives it a flick. Slowly he throws the contents of the fridge inside the bag, closing the refrigerator. He ties the bag up and puts it aside.] Now that that is out of the way, we can move past the living room and kitchen.
I had been inaccurate in my assumption that there were two doors to this house; in actuality, there are three identical doors. I don't know which each leads to. I will have to take my chances. [At random, he swings open a door and pokes a head inside.] The bathroom, it appears. Very ordinary. A shower, a toilet and basin. The wallpaper is pale blue, his toothbrush is a red, and the toothpaste he uses is of a generic brand. Nothing here. [He closes the door]
Now, the door next to it. So far, there is nothing in this house that is of note. I cannot pretend that it does not make me rather frustrated. I expected to learn something about Dr Andrew Sandgrass, something that explains his situation. Instead, I still have so many questions. Goddamnit, I am a scientist. Learning is what I am best at, but my talent is failing me now. Why is he so different? Why is Andrew here while he is not?
[He sighs and puts a hand to his heart.] I fear I cannot be sentimental. I must keep going. [He opens another door and steps in. He clicks on the light switch.] This is quite obviously the bedroom. And it is largely... empty. Yes, it does have a bed, a chest of drawers and a bedside table — but those are the only things in his bedroom. Most bedrooms, they have other articles of note, don't they? A desk perhaps, paintings or additional storage. There is nothing except three pieces of furniture. He owns an oversized twin bed, the comforter is a mellow cream color. The bed is neatly made and very tidy. Right next to the bed is a bedside table, with a lamp and a copy of Frankenstein. He appears to have been reading it as there is a bookmark. [He picks up the book, flipping to the bookmarked page.] With a black pen, he had underlined a single quote. The underlined quote reads — "The world was to me a secret which I desired to devine."
[He sets the book down, walking towards the chest of drawers.] Clothes, most of them I have seen him wear previously. I don't want to look through his clothes too carefully, for obvious reasons. Once again, I find nothing. I am considering returning home and putting the tape away. Perhaps I should stop caring about Andrew — something to put in the back of my head, something to only think about in sparse amounts only when it's convenient. Well, it's almost over. I have only one room to look through, and then I am never returning here again. It's almost half past eleven, I did not notice that the time had passed by so quickly.
[Soft footsteps towards the final door — as he stands before the door, he gave a sigh. There is a silence as he simply just stands there.] Here goes nothing. [He opens the door.]
[The assistant does not speak for several moments as the door slowly swings open. Silence continues.] Uhm, this room surprised me, to say the least. I had thought this room to be a guest bedroom of sorts, perhaps even a room for storage. It is neither. Unlike all the other rooms with their clinical neatness and organization, this room is in disorder. It appears to be a radio studio, of sorts? A lot of appliances and gadgets related to radios and stereos. With the gramophone in the living room and just this room, it is a very fair assumption that audio visuals appear to be one of Dr Sandgrass' leisure activities. There is a desk, several radios on shelves, several other apparatuses I cannot even name and identify. It is all rather a lot. I don't believe Dr Sandgrass has ever made it aware of this hobby. Well, I wouldn't know. We had a strictly professional relationship, only encountering each other a few times, all for the sole purpose of work.
On the desk, there are papers, stationary and a rather antique radio. Now, I know nothing about radios but even I know that the thing is rather beautiful. Very pristine and it's so old, it does not even look like the radios we are used to seeing today. [Gingerly, the assistant picks it up, his hand trailing the service.] It's rather heavy too, and Oh! I can feel something under my fingers, something like an etching or an engraving. [He puts the radio down and it makes a deep noise as it is set down. Turning around, he blows a puff of air against it.] The engraving reads... Sandgrass... 1898. Uh, well. Perhaps it is a family heirloom. Well, moving on. [His hands quickly leave the radio and he moves them to the closest thing. The closest thing appears to be a closed drawer.] Well, let's see what I can find. [He opens the drawer and gingerly rummages through it.]
Three photographs. Of Dr Andrew Sandgrass. [He sets them down on the table, his movements sound quick and hurried.] It is unmistakably him in those photographs, the facial features are the same, the similarities are too uncanny for it to be one of his ancestors. The photographs are sepia in tone, his clothes are old-fashioned, two of the photographs are just him and the other one, he is with an older woman. Behind those photos, there is the year where the photographs were taken. 1883, 1887, 1890.
There is a journal too. [With a motion too quick, he grabs it. He accidentally proceeds to drop it. As it hits the floor, it makes a loud noise.] Uh, sorry. I really am. I will not pry too deeply into it, I just need to know. [He opens the first page, almost in a flurry.] It's his handwriting, I recognize it from the reports. The heading says — it says — January 23, 1890. [For the first time, the assistant appears to have lost his composure. His grip on the recorder is unusually tight, and when he speaks again, his voice is turbulent and almost fearful.] I — I don't know... what this means. I end this statement here.

Josip Heit Sentenced to Prison for Financial Fraud in Luxembourg
A scandal involving a halted hydroelectric project has connected Croatian journalists to Sasa Svalina and his brother-in-law, Josip Heit. Heit is currently facing difficulties in a refund settlement tied to securities fraud accusations concerning a billion-dollar investment scheme.
In a September 22nd report by Croatian journalist Dusan Miljus from Jutarnji, Heit’s background before joining Karatbars International is explored. Miljus reveals that Heit was sentenced to prison in Luxembourg for financial fraud. After being released in 2012, Heit allegedly adopted a new identity in Croatia and continued portraying himself as a successful businessman, borrowing money—some of which remains unpaid—and driving a luxury Bugatti. He was financially supported by his former in-laws, including uncle Andrej Labudzko, who is linked to the Russian military.
Prior to his prison sentence, Heit started a luxury tourism and boat leasing company in Croatia in 1998. Interestingly, despite being connected to a Russian arms dealer, Heit later used donations to Ukraine for marketing purposes through GSPartners, though how this was received by his Russian-affiliated relatives is unclear.
Heit, originally born as Josip Curcic in Split, changed his name after his release from prison, following his 2009 marriage to Kristina Heit, a German citizen born in Russia. Despite efforts by Jutarnji to contact him, Heit remained unavailable for comment, with only a vague response from an associate.
Sasa Svalina, Heit’s brother-in-law, distanced himself from the controversy, claiming no involvement in the construction of the hydroelectric project despite financial connections through one of Heit’s companies. Svalina also clarified that they have no business dealings and haven’t spoken in months.
Karatbars International, a company Heit co-founded with Harald Seiz and Alex Bodi, collapsed in 2019 after a failed attempt to pivot into cryptocurrency MLM fraud. Following this, Heit parted ways with Seiz and began creating GSB shell companies, including one in Kazakhstan linked to cryptocurrency trading.
GSPartners, founded through GSB Group, claims to have raised over a billion dollars from more than 800,000 investors. However, after facing numerous regulatory fraud warnings worldwide, GSPartners collapsed in December 2023. The majority of its investors were from North America. Recent settlements with US regulators may result in some investors recovering their money, but many outside North America remain uncertain about the fate of their investments.

White House Internship Program Now Pays Its Interns
In a February 2011 blog post, former White House intern Leah Katz-Hernandez described her work as “substantive” and “demanding." For years, interning with the White House has been hard work for those who commit to the experience, which is why the Federal Government is now paying its interns. In 2022, the Biden Administration relaunched the White House internship program, marking a new era for White House interns who started receiving a stipend.
The highly competitive program is open to all US citizens who are at least 18 before the first day of the program. Other eligibility requirements depend on the office where the prospective intern would work. Applicants can find the information at www.whitehouse.gov/get-involved/internships/, which lists the various departments and provides links to eligibility requirements.
Additionally, interns must provide their COVID-19 status and adhere to current White House policies, which may include wearing masks, submitting to testing, and complying with social distancing policies. If applicants meet these regulations, security background checks assess connections to foreign governments, financial debts, tax compliance, and prior drug use.
Interns have received pay in various parts of the private sector, but the public sector has been slow to adopt the practice. According to a June 2022 CNN article, the Fair Pay Campaign, a grassroots organization, began talks about paying interns in 2013 during the Obama Administration. Pay Our Interns, another advocacy group, also launched a campaign in 2019. It sent a letter to the White House, lobbying lawmakers to include $4.5 million for a White House internship program in a March 2022 funding bill.
President Biden signed an executive order that became effective after January 2021. The order directs federal agencies to decrease their reliance on unpaid fellowships and internships and to offer more access to applicants from underserved backgrounds. In the past, interns paid for housing and other living expenses, which was a burden for some, including college students, new graduates, and those from low-income backgrounds. Thus, some applicants could not participate even though they received offers.
Internships provide interns with foundational networking to help further their future careers. Past interns discuss the importance of participating in the program. A year after her internship in 2011, Katz-Hernandez outlined some of the benefits, such as meeting people from diverse backgrounds, the opportunity to build her skills portfolio, and making professional connections. Other interns obtain more intrinsic rewards, such as Allison Wong, senior associate director of the Office of Presidential Personnel (2021-2022), who stated that her internship experience in 2012 allowed her to make a difference by serving her country.
The White House has stated that the introduction of funding for the White House internship program serves as a significant step in removing barriers for students from low-income backgrounds and first-generation professionals, which creates a program that reflects American diversity.
Moreover, the Biden Administration remains committed to building an administration that reflects the country's population. Statements by the president and vice president have communicated their belief that people from all walks of life and backgrounds should have opportunities to serve the nation.
Beginning with the fall 2022 session, interns who met specific requirements received stipends. These requirements included working at least 35 hours a week. In 2022, interns could earn upward of $21.43 an hour (or $750 a week) for full-time work and $375 per week for part-time work. The website did not include minimum hours for part-time work. However, instead of being paid hourly, interns receive the first half stipend at the beginning and the last half when they successfully finish the program.

The more traditional of our brethren may OBJECT STRENUOUSLY to what they view as a “weakening of moral fiber.”
Three counter points:
#1. In the Past we funded Higher Education WITHOUT crippling the Economy.
To say we CAN’T today while still the richest country in history and with as much manufacturing as the past is PROPAGANDA.
Somehow’ in the 50s, 60s and 70s we had all the money need for publicly funded higher education to prove we were equal to the Soviet Socialists who provided free higher education and used it to beat us into space.
#2. The Greed of the Rich had less to do with ‘Taxes Crippling the Economy’ than with a whole new method of EXPLOITATION:
When the Cold War wound down and the Rich & Poweful Oligarchy saw a new way to indenture humanity - Debt.
Also they bribed Congress to altered the bankruptcy laws to make it harder and harder to expunge debt. Use the banking system and courts as slave hunters.
#3. Education benefits Society.
Meanwhile in other news, Soviet Socialist Cuba has the highest doctor ratio per capita. Pay any excess as foreign humanitarian aid .
People who train in Cuban medical both get more sleep as interns and can pass the US medical board tests.
The Greedy Rich can’t function for five minutes in our high-tech Society without an educated workforce.
They want that workforce as educational and medical debt slaves.
======================================
Which reminds me that in the New Slavery Society the debts of the parents can be visited on their children in half of the States. Coming soon to the other half of the Rich & Powerful get their way:
‘…in a 2012 Pennsylvania case (Health Care & Retirement Corporation of America v. Pittas), the court held that a son of an elderly woman who left the country owing $93,000 to her nursing home is liable for her bill under the Pennsylvania filial responsibility law. The mother had actually filed an application for Medicaid, but it was still pending at the time of this case. Thus, the bill for her care had to be paid for privately and the nursing home brought the lawsuit against her adult son. It did not matter that the adult child did not sign the admission form for his mother; his responsibility was based solely on his relationship to the debtor.’
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
USAmericans ought to stop and seriously think as to the types of people who will fight and, if necessary, even sacrifice re-election to fight this rising dystopian sh*t show.
Is it MTG or AOC? Bernie or McConnell? Biden or the Mango Mussolini?
Choose wisely.

A Generational Study of Teacher-Mothers’ Balancing of Careers and Familial Responsibilities
This study is interested in studying the experiences of mothers who work as teachers. It will investigate how the interplay between career and motherhood is balanced by women in the Philippines, particularly mothers from different generations. It is important to understand how societal expectations and gender norms can shape female professional identities and how we genuinely strive to balance multiple responsibilities. The main consideration in focusing on this topic is to seek mechanisms that would harmonize the professional and familial roles of women teachers in the country. Despite the presence of the Magna Carta of Women, several studies have noted that much still needs to be discovered to improve the current status of female teachers (Bongco & Abesamis, 2019; Xhaho, 2020; Lavado et al., 2022). This study aims to gain insights into how supportive policies and workplace practices can be improved to acknowledge and accommodate teacher-mothers' challenges. This is particularly significant due to recognized cultural underpinnings that reveal women are mostly prone to the second shift (Hochschild, 2012) and unpaid care work. Furthermore, each generation of teacher-mothers can provide an understanding of how they were able to manage their dual roles and how these management techniques affected their teaching practices and strategies. Their insights may clarify classroom dynamics and even student outcomes. By seeking to understand how teacher-mothers manage their responsibilities, education administrators and policymakers can better devise strategies to enhance teaching effectiveness and student engagement by prioritizing the overall well-being and work-life balance of teachers. This study hopes to examine the experiences of teacher-mothers across four generations: (1) Baby Boomers, born between 1946 and 1964 (2) Generation X, born between 1965 and 1980 (3) Millennials (Generation Y), born between 1981 and 1996 (4) Generation Z, born between 1997 and the early 2010s. Since very little is published in this area of women's studies, particularly traversing into the four generations, looking into the intergenerational perspectives of teacher-mothers hopes to uncover the evolution of societal attitudes, gender roles, and gender equality over time. Through the use of a historical lens, the study may be able to highlight the progress achieved and the persistent barriers teacher-mothers encounter. This can be a valuable context for understanding contemporary challenges in the educational setting as a whole. Through sharing personal narratives of teacher-mothers, this study will also explore the experiences of women teachers in their careers, including their ambitions, aspirations, and personal reflections. This study is highly relevant for highlighting Filipino teacher-mothers' cultural nuances and context, potentially leading to the design of interventions and strategies rooted in our cultural fabric.
The work-life balance especially for teacher-mothers in the academic sector is a topic that is not comprehensively understood through research (Rawal, 2021) it is important to explore this area of study in the context of today’s world because the societal impacts of work-life balance are not well-studied (Alves, et al., 2020; Thilagavathy & Geetha, 2023). Thus, a thorough understanding of how teacher-mothers from different generations balance their teaching careers and familial roles is an important inquiry to undertake, to better give nuance and context of this situation.
