Fandom crucifies her bc she's Ciel's fiancée and they want him to be with his butler, Sebastian, the demon he sold his soul to for revenge

anime was a shitty canon divergent adaptation that butchered her character down to her "cutesy silly girly" persona, which obviously made the 2008 anime fans hate her with a passion (nothing wrong w being girly I'm just saying the adaptation made her super one dimensional) anyways fujoshis used to treat her as a villain because she's the fiance of Ciel,, who as u might know already was HEAVILY shipped with his butler, Sebastian back then (now it's kinda looked badly upon, nice tbh that ship sucks ass xD) She's a bit similar to Misa Amane from death note in the way she was treated. (Like an obstacle the yaoi ship must overcome rather than a person)

she's my silly little rabbit! i could gush about her character but i'll keep it short and just say that she's really well written and one of the best characters in the series. anyways she's ciel's fiance and she's like, rightfully annoying as any other 13 yr old girl would be but the fanbase fucking crucified her for even existing. she gets demonized for being 'annoying', but then ciel gets yaoishipped with an even more annoying guy. there is 100% an argument that lizzie/ciel is weird bc they're cousins (i personally don't ship it) but that falls flat when her detractors then ship the 13 yr old ciel with an eons old demon who Canonically looks like his father. the anime also never reached her main character development until years after its peak and that was only in a movie, so she really got the bad end of the stick here. not me though i had a giant crush on her when i was 12

Katara

Katara is constantly mistreated by the fans in favor of the Zukka ship (Zuko × Sokka.) They make her out to be mean, homophobic, and completely out of character just to add drama to the Zukka ship. In reality, Katara is very compassionate, and would never act that way toward anyone. 

Zutara was a popular ship but when zukka got popular over covid during the atla renaissance there were a million posts about how zutara was problematic while zukka was perfect usually for racist reasons. Meanwhile katara and sokka are siblings so it didn't even make sense. They did not have to be so illogically rude to her to ship zukka and it was weird

Katara is FANTASTIC I fucking love her to pieces she is so cool and yet the entirety of the ATLA fandom treats her like garbage because she “talks about her mom dying too much” (even though she BARELY does & also was parentified from a young age due to her mother’s death) and, of course, because she’s a more feminine women when compared to her counterparts. Even in the show itself she’s mistreated: she’s ALWAYS shown cooking for the rest of the gaang, doing their laundry, any ‘womanly’ task. She ends up with the guy who kissed her twice without her consent & who she never showed any real attraction to and apparently (despite being a badass warrior-doctor!!!) after the show ended she just… settled down in the South Pole and had a bunch of kids and never did anything else. She didn’t even get a statue :( Anyways during the ATLA renaissance, despite Zutara actually not being canon, people felt that Katara threatened the sanctity of the new almost entirely baseless yaoi ship, Zukka. Unfortunately for them, due to the fact that Katara and Sokka are siblings, the usual anti-Zutara arguments didn’t work as well. So they resorted to just… slaughtering her character. If she was lucky, they’d just make Katara a background character, wingwoman, &or throw her together with her canon love interest. If she was unlucky they’d do anything from make her homophobic (??) to killing her off! Fuck’s sake, she never even got a token spare-the-pairs wlw ship! Sorry for getting so heated, that whole debacle made me FUMING MAD.

Extra Lore about Crystal

Crystal was a spoiled kid. She was treated like a princess- getting anything she wanted, whenever she wanted- except for times she was caught doing something wrong. Hence, she developed a bit of Princess Syndrome. If you dare to oppose her or become her enemy, she can and will manipulate your pea-sized brain. She will professionally guilt trip you, gaslight you and girlboss as she steps all over you. Expect to get sued, unemployed, or worse...

If you do try to take revenge on her, she will simply call law enforcement and bring the case to court, all while hiring the most expensive lawyer. If you're unlucky and try too hard, expect life imprisonment. She cares for those who are financially poor, but also detests those who are morally poor. You know the drill- people selling drugs, people who smoke and think it's cool and pedophiles. She rarely swears too. Crystal insists on living a crime-free life to secure her reputation and abide by her religious beliefs. However, she surprisingly makes an exception for the people she loves and cares about. This includes Mello, Sasaki and Matt.

Crystal absolutely hates spicy food, just like her husband Matsuda. She likes savoury and sweet food better. This is because when she was 4 (before going to the Wammy's house), a Chinese aunt came over to her house and gave her fried meat. She was shocked to find a chilli full of chilli seeds encased in the meat, but it was too late. It was already in her mouth. That memory scarred her for life. Yes, she has seen Mala, the spice from Sichuan in China. She refuses to try even a teaspoon of it, afraid it might burn her perfect princess tongue. She also really loves Michelin star restaurants. In fact, they were her childhood. She's a bit of a food connoisseur, and she watches a lot of food reviews before going to famous restaurants. She took Matsuda to her favourite high end restaurant on their first date, and didn't mind paying the full bill for both of them despite his protests. She was even surprised by the shock on his face when she told him she was a patron member of the restaurant. Money aside, both of them just really care about food, and it helped bring them together.

Crystal has watched lots of K-pop content since her teen years. She's also very interested in popular culture. The cultured lady is no stranger to fan fiction either. When she was a teen she wrote a little on fanfiction.net, but lost motivation and deleted all her work because it was "cringe". Her favourite K-pop artist is IU. She is obsessed with the song "Good Day" and it's in her car playlist. In fact, she knew IU and her work long before knowing about Misa Amane. She could arrange a meeting with IU, but is too afraid to do so as she doesn't know a word of Korean. She loves innocently pranking people with popular annoying songs and sudden meme references. However, she only does that with people she is close to, like Matsuda and L.

Crystal's first language is English, her second is Mandarin and her third is Cantonese. She remembers her parents used to speak a lot of Cantonese with each other. Unfortunately, her father spoke a lot of foul language in Cantonese while arguing with her mother. She can't get it out of her head, so she says some words jokingly sometimes. L learnt Chinese because he wanted to communicate better with Crystal and understand her true thoughts. (Yep, L is fluent in Chinese, you can search it up) Also, when they wanted to exchange secrets with many people around, they would conveniently use tons of complicated Mandarin and Cantonese with each other. This confused all the other kids. The kids attempted to understand what they were saying and eavesdrop, but all of them were left stumped. Also, they did not want to get into trouble with their godfathers Roger and Watari, so they just gave up.

Crystal does not like Aizawa at all. She did not invite him to her wedding. After hearing what Matsuda has said about Aizawa, she picked on the bad parts and labelled Aizawa as a “difficult” person. During Matsuda’s last week working for the task force, she was overwhelmed by Matsuda repeatedly crying about how bad work was when he came home. When Crystal got him to explain more, she found that most of his crying was because his colleagues (especially Aizawa) treated him rudely or left him out of things. Crystal immediately complained to L, expecting him to cut Matsuda some slack. Instead, L just decided to fire Matsuda. This, of course, worsened Matsuda’s mental state. Crystal decided to ghost L for a long time after that and told her godfather Roger Ruvie, who later surprised her with an inheritance of one billion pounds. So Crystal surprised Matsuda with a red 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. They sold their basic brown “poo-coloured” car and are now thinking of getting their next luxury car. L and Crystal have of course reconciled after what happened. Crystal just puts the blame of what happened on Aizawa now, but luckily she has spared him and his family. Phew!

Sayu: You sure you don’t need juice or some snack?!

Light: Yeah, Sayu, we are sure. We are just going to be talking for a bit, thank you, you can go *still trying to kick her out but she was grabbing to the door frame, tryng to get another look at the girl* Sayu: I love your dress, by the way! *She showed her tongue to her brother and sneaked out, leaving Light almost to fall on his face without the sudden support*

Light: I… I am sorry about that.

Misa: It’s okay, I am used to! She seems like a cute girl. I could give her the adress of the place I bought this dress from later.

Light: Yeah, later… Okay, now… how did you know that I had my own Death Note? Misa: Oh, that is easy! I have the eye!

Light:… Yeah, I can see that. That doesn’t really answer me. Misa: You don’t know about the Shinigami eyes? Light *turning to see Ryuk* The what?

Ryuk *shruging* Oops.

Rem: Why I am not surprised? Misa: Oh, is that where your shinigami is? Can I see them?

Light: I… sure. Sure, why not, I suppose since you showed me yours *takes out the notebook from his desk and reaches it for Misa to open it up and touch the pages* Misa: Aww, I like the cover you put on it, it’s so cute! *she lifted her sight to see Ryuk, who waved at her* Oh, you are totally different than Rem! Hi, nice to meet you! I like your style! Ryuk: The name’s Ryuk. Likewise.

Misa: You and Rem already knew each other? Ryuk: You could say that.

Rem: As much as you can know someone with whom you live on the same realm, sure.

Light: Alright, so… is anyone going to explain to me what is the deal with the shinigami eyes?

Ryuk It’s just a little something that can only happen between the owner of a Death Note and it’s shinigami. You agree to give that shinigami half of your lifespan and the shinigami allows you to have the same eyes as we do, with which you can see the true name and lifespan of any other human.

Misa: Except owners of another Death Note and that is how I found you! I can see your name but not your lifespan. That is how I first suspected you were Kira, but it was after I followed you that I had no doubt about it.

Light: You have… how long? Misa: Mmm, a few months, I think? I saw you by chance and became curious, especially when I saw this other guy already following you. He seemed to be a nuisance so I took care of him for you! Light: Wait, what g… The FBI agent. When you say “took care of him”, you mean… Misa: Wrote his name on my own Death Note. I was on the bus too that day, but I wasn’t dressing like this back then so you wouldn’t have noticed me. Light: I-I… I need to sit down for a moment.

Ryuk: He vomited when he saw the crash. It was gross. Misa: Really? Oh, I am so sorry! I didn’t thought you were going to see it directly or it was going to affect you like that, I was just trying to help! *she kneels in front of him, putting her hands over his kneels so he still had to see her big eye asking for forgiveness. He wasn’t mad in the first place but knew in that moment he couldn’t have stayed mad even if he was.* If I knew it would have affected you that way I would have written it out so it happened on another place, I swear. Light *with his hands trembling he takes her by the shoulder to tell her to stand up*… why. Why did you do that. L knows who I am because of that. Ryuk: He is being dramatic. He just suspect him. He talked with him campus to interrogate him. Misa: Really? But that is amazing then! Then I can just look at him and… Light: NO! *he covers his mouth when he realized he shouted* I mean… please, don’t. I don’t want you to write his name. He is just doing his work. Misa: But his job is stopping you! I can’t stand by and let that happen! Light: But why? Why do you care so much? This has nothing to do with you! Rem: Human, watch your words. You have no idea of how much time and energy Misa has invested on your wellbeing. Misa: Rem, it’s okay *she smiles at Light* Of course you don’t know about it *she takes out the eyepatch she was carrying and Light assumed was just part of the aesthetic, realizing now that there was a scar crossing over an empty socket* The man who did this to me and almost killed me would have been sent free if Kira didn’t intervened. Same with the criminal who killed my parents, after he has done his sentence. Maybe you don’t think a lot about it. It’s really silly to think you would remember every single criminal… but that meant the world to me. Since even before meeting Rem, I knew that no matter what, I supported Kira and saw the good he was doing to the world. And when she came, I was sure I had to do everything on my power to help you out and stop whoever stood on your way. Light:… it was you, doesn’t it? You wrote the name of the fake L. M: Of course I did! He was threatening you! Light: I… *he falls to his chair again* I… oh god. Misa: I… I realized now that it was probably a tiny mistake… Light: You think? Misa: But I don’t get it! Why don’t you want me to just finish L for you? Light: I… Misa, I can’t go on killing people who are only trying to do good for the world too. Those people who hurted you, they chose to do that and they didn’t deserved life anymore. But L is an innocent. He hasn’t harmed anyone and he is only doing what he thinks is best to avoid hurting more people. Misa: But he is wrong! He doesn’t understand! Light: That is not reason to die! Misa *she looks away, shaking his fist* Then what? I am supposed to let that guy arrest you? Because I won’t! It’s like you don’t even care about your purpose as Kira. Light:… maybe I don’t. Misa *she turns around* D-don’t joke around like that, Light. It’s not funny… Light: I am not joking. Before you came here, I was ready to renounce everything. Look, I am… really sorry for what happened to you and your family, but I just can’t keep doing this anymore and you must under… *Light is pushed on his chair and Misa straddles him down as she took a pocket knife decorated with hello kitty, pointing the blade towards her own neck* Misa: If Kira dies, then I die too! I have no reason for living if Kira is not around! *she grabs his hands and puts it over the knife, pressing down* If that is what you want to do, then might as well just kill me already! Rem: Misa… Misa: I told you too, Rem… *tears start running through her only eye* My only reason for living is to live in a world where Kira exist. I can’t stand the thought of letting live anyone so willing to destroy someone… destroy everything…

Light *as soon the pressure eases, Light throws the knife to a side and brings Misa towards himself, hugging her tight. Misa just takes a full second before she embraces him too, still sobbing* I… I am so sorry. Misa *buries her head on his neck* Don’t do this… please… Light: My family… Rem: They will all be dead if you kill Kira. Misa/Light: Huh?

Rem: I don’t really care about you, Light Yagami, either as Kira or as a human being. But if you are in any way responsible for Misa coming in harm’s way, I will not hesitate to retaliate in response and I will take away everything you cherish with me.

Light *looks at Ryuk, who looks just as surprised but just shrugs. Whatever, it was more entertainment for him. Then at Rem* You… care about Misa a lot, huh? I didn’t know Shinigamis could do that. Rem: I do. And I mean every word I said, so think carefully about your next move, Light Yagami. Light:… Light: Alright, I get it *he coaches Misa to separate from him and clean up her face with some napkins on his desk* I got it… I guess it was foolish of me to think it would be that easy. Misa: Does… does that mean you… Light: Yeah. Kira is still in business. Misa: Yay! *she hugs him again, now happy* I will do everything I can to help you, Light, I promise! You won’t ever have to do any of this alone! Light *strangely enough, there was some comfort on those words* Yeah, but… Misa, I would prefer it if you promise me you won’t hurt L. I need to know that he will be fine. He hasn’t done anything wrong that deserves death. Misa *she frowns and lowers her gaze, thinking* I don’t know. L is very dangerous. Light: Then let me handle him when the times comes, alright? I can manage him. I will find the way somehow. Misa: Well… *she looks up* but I want something in return. Light *sighs* What is that? Misa: Date me! Make me your girlfriend and then I won’t touch a hair of L’s head! Light: Are you ki… *suddenly he realices that all this time Misa has been on his lap and this was the closest he has ever been to a girl before, blushing* I… are you serious? We just met! Misa: I don’t care *she hugs him again* It’s okay if you don’t feel the same, Light. I don’t mind! Just let me have you like that and I will trust you about what to do with L. Misa *she stares at him and smiles, shaking her head as she brings his hand to his chest. Light blushed more intensively, taking him a long moment to notice Misa was making him feel her heart* You feel my heartbeat? That is how happy you make me. I haven’t been this happy in a long time. Please, accept my feelings, Light.

Light:…

Light: I guess… I don’t really have a choice here, do I? *he sighs and nods his head* Alright.

Misa *she nuzzles his hand against her cheek and let it go, smiling softly with a blush of her own* You know? I am happy to discover that Kira is so gentle too, on top of handsome.

Light *blushing, looks the other side* Again, we just met. A cute girl like you could have any guy she wants anyway.

Misa: I only want Kira. And… you think I am cute?

Light: I have eyes so, yeah?

Misa: Even with…? *her hand lift to her face, the side where her scar was* I was a model before. An idol. That all changed after this. Now I have to be very careful about how I present myself or people get weirded out. I got blacklisted from a couple of places because of it.

Light: I am sorry. But you are still cute regardless so, their lost *he gave her eyepatch back* You don’t need to use it here, by the way.

Misa: Thank you. I don’t mind *she put it back on and then looked back at him* Shouldn’t we… kiss each other?

Light: I… *his eyes darted to Ryuk and Rem, both of them still staring. Misa misinterpretated his look*

Misa: Rem, could you wait outside?

Light: No, wait. No. I… yes. But not now. We have to know each other at least a little bit before, don’t you think?

Misa: Have a date, you mean?

Light: Y-yeah. Sure.

Misa: Oh! You are absolutely right! Our first kiss should be something special! Where do you want to go?

Light: I… surprise. Yeah. Let me think of a good option first.

Misa: Okay! I will leave you my number then and you can call me whenever you have an answer! *Misa took his hand and wrote her phone number on it with a skull pen. Then she kissed it* Call me whenever you want. It doesn’t matter the time if it’s for you, Light!
