I’m hoping Unika is entirely unrelated to Dizzy, if im honest. I want her to just be an arbitrary little hater. I think that would be super funny, and a great use of a character to explore how one’s own hatred can alienate them from the world!

However, I’d also accept Unika hating Gears until Dizzy shows her an ounce of kindness, and then she’s a mama’s girl to the death

so far i’ve seen like, nobody make the connection that unika is sin’s sister

because like the eye thing from another story seems too purposeful of a setup to be a throwaway gag, sure the reactions are funny, but sin mentioned that dizzy’s eye fell out before ky panicked and tried giving her his eye and they were healed via magic… so if sin is one eye, i assume the other eye IS in fact unika, and sin is what was left of ky’s eye and unika is dizzy’s judging by the color

with that in mind, i think GGST:DR will just boil down to:

It would be funny if the theories about Unika are fake and she's just a normal girl, who's only a menace to our heroes because she's just that racists against Gears

It really bugs me how much traction the "Unika is some Valentine or Justice variant" theory has. I understand that we're trying to mostly go at this from a game play perspective (even if it's also from superficial visual similarities), since it would be less lore breaking to give a new character the move set of a deceased one (hence Holy Order Sol also entering the equation). But it really reeks of recycled ideas, especially given the exact characters involved here. Sin stops yet another clone of his grandmother, all while his old man is also there. It probably would be okay for the newcomers, but it wouldn't have much longevity after its release. It would be great if this finally netted us an opportunity to actually see how Gears are perceived by the public, since while we're always hearing about them being greatly feared, it's not something we really experience in the narrative proper. Especially when you think about someone like Dizzy, who we only really see glimpses of her initial treatment in the drama CDs. Sin is also in a similar position of only really having him being bullied as an element of his backstory, since his actual role in the games is mostly to help out with the heightened family drama that makes much of GG.

So really, they should let the flag pole boy have a brush with someone who greatly suffered under the wrath of those she only perceives as manufactured monsters. That unlike his own aunt sisters, this is somebody who very much has lived a storied life, and thus wouldn't be swayed by his own simplistic thinking. Maybe even have Frederick iterate this point to the kid, given his own messy emotions that he grappled with for much of his existence. It's one thing to deal with someone who has yet to truly experience living. It's a different thing entirely when it's someone who had to deal with way too much at such a young age (to which Ky could certainly relate to himself). Will they go there? Who knows. Unika doesn't appear to be human, but that doesn't exclude the possibility that she formerly was one. I just would rather the universe not be so small by having this many previously unknown family members in existence. Let Sin have some other friends for once!

Is Unika a Valentine? Is it true?

There's nothing that confirms that.

In my previous post, that's just dumb speculation on my part without any hardcore evidence to back it up.

But honestly, something about her just doesn't seem quite right. I mean, she just appeared out of nowhere. Even her biography lampshades this! She just appeared out of nowhere!

Secondly, she has those goggles and that blue hair strands that are shaped like an X.

I might be looking too much into that, but I feel she's more than just 'human'.

Again, I'm speculating and if I'm wrong, I'm wrong.
