You both hit the nail on the head and expressed exactly what I think about him. I also find that he tries hard to come off as a "matured" and "down to earth" artist (like the first anon said, "not like other girls"), but unknowingly ends up showing that he's arrogant and also hypocritical because of his actual actions. Not to mention, I feel that he victimizes himself a lot. He complains a lot about a small portion of his fan base (the unhinged ones), and never acknowledges his actual, unproblematic fan base and acts as if we're all insane and out to get him. It's just... ugh. (And before some of you try to attack me: No, I don't hate Noah. I can criticize him and acknowledge that he has unfavorable traits.)

Whilst I agree Noah has unfavourable traits I also think it’s held to unfair standards at times. We’ve seen it recently where what he says is taken out of content, purposely twisted or sometimes even if it isn’t fans have taken it way to personally like when he uses allegory (like the Robert pattison reference he made) to suggest he has a huge ego when I think he just meant you’d be surprised by how boring he is and he thought the situation funny, he could relate hell I’m not famous and I could ralate to the story and do the same thing. Also i think people are used to being way to humble. The man is allowed to be proud of his work even if you don’t like it and I think written text can especially come off pretentious if you don’t have the tonal ques. And there are definitely times where I can agree with the assessment he might be, but i think it’s more blown out of proportion or received poorly when it shouldn’t be. I hope they makes sense as I don’t have time to go through every interview and example of outrage
