Happy New Year 2025! 🌹
pssst yap session down below
yap fest because that’s what tumblr blogs are for But it took me 100 freaking pulls to get mari chama 😭 I’m on my third copy of Ren rn because I am NOT LOCKED IN!!!!! I also drew this with my finger because I’m visiting family and lost the only one I brought with me 💔
so the bursts are kinda CRAZY I’ve been staring at these two pictures and kinda crying inside…. so beautiful I might just die….
look renmari is not my main ship For either of them but was this not kinda crazy…? I haven’t read the event story in Full but I got a summary (no spoilers here sorryyyyy!) and it’s so cute. I love their development so freaking much I might die…. Thinking about that one line where someone said they looked like brothers And . They’re so leaning into it….
life as someone with both of their special cuts is so Awesome yeah I struggled But it was worth it! I think I might have to get a new acc soon tho bc my acc is Kinda getting unfarmable so I gotta rely on event rewards alone….. 😓 I was thinking of saving some of the rubies I was going to use for this banner on Asch’s survive event coming soon But marion’s a difficult oneee…..
most of these are just a collection Of everything I said on my twt from Like 3am this morning to now Lol! But otherwise thank you if you read this all??? I don’t think anyone will It’s mostly for myself to come back too sooner or later….
here’s this Renren I did on My whiteboard earlier while I was playinf the event…. Just for you who scrolled all the way down… 🩷

what are your thoughts on the creaking hearts not being renewable? i'm kinda mixed on it because on the one hand, good that people won't just be going to pale gardens exclusively to farm them, but on the other hand... people will absolutely be going to every pale garden they can find exclusively to *harvest* them instead.... i feel like it'll end up being an inconveniently rare but super pretty/useful block like the spore blossom or small dripleafs, not to mention on a server, the folks going to every garden will then be removing the *most unique feature*
(my personal change would just be, have them generate in pale oaks *grown in the pale garden. At Night.* so farming them isn't as easy as just making a tree farm, they're still relatively rare, but you can get enough for like, a floor pattern or redstone contraptions that use them for one reason or another)
short answer now bc I'm still hanging out w friends but: imo everything needs to be renewable and ideally as unfarmable as possible. renewability methods in minecraft Famously fucking suck but worse than that is having to go thousands more blocks out for 1 item

the wrong changeling
All characters are 18+
Silly grown-ups will try to tell you that fairies live in Fairyland. Sometimes, if they're very very silly and they think you're bigger than you really are, they'll tell you the big grown-up lie that fairies don't exist any more.
But we know better, don't we?
Fairies live everywhere, if you know where to look. And there are trolls under the bridges, and mermaids in the sea, and nymphs in the pools (which are too small for mermaids), and lots and lots of other special people all over the world. But they're all hiding away from grown-up eyes, because grown-ups are silly. They would want to take pictures and videos, and take all those special people away to poke them with metal sticks in big laboratories that smell of chemicals.
If you go to London, which is a big big city in England where lots of boring grown-up people go to do lots of boring grown-up jobs, you'll find a park called Hampstead Heath.
A heath is just an old word for a big piece of ground that doesn't have a lot of trees growing on it. But do you know where it comes from?
'Heath' comes from a language called Old English, which is what they spoke in England in the Olden Days, a long time before your mummies and daddies were born. Back then, the word meant 'unfarmed land' — which sounds super boring, doesn't it? But then you think a little bit more, and you ask a question. And the question is, why didn't they farm it?
Today, there's lots of land that doesn't get farmed. It doesn't get farmed because boring people in suits got together and decided they could make lots more money if they built houses on it instead. But back in the Olden Days, farming was all that anybody did, because no one had invented phones for people to try and sell to you, or takeaways for people to deliver to you, or laws for people to argue about.
But there was still some land that didn't get farmed. Sometimes it was because the land was too wet, and the crops wouldn't grow. Sometimes it was because the land was too dry, and the crops wouldn't grow.
And sometimes, it was for much more interesting reasons. Sometimes, it was because the fairies didn't like it.
Even though there aren't a lot of trees growing on Hampstead Heath, there are still some, and one of them is an oak tree. It's a very big oak tree, because it's very old, and it never gets cut. When the people in hi-vis jackets come from the Council and trim all the other trees on the Heath, they just walk straight past it.
Do you know why?
I do, but they don't.
It's because the Big Old Oak on Hampstead Heath is one of the biggest fairy schools in the whole world.
Some little people try to tell me that fairies don't go to school. But fairies have to learn to add up and take away and write their names, just like you do, and they especially have to learn to fly. Otherwise they would just bang into things.
Fairies have even more to learn that humans do. Because as well as all the normal, boring human things, like numbers and letters and shapes and sounds, they have to learn about the special fairy subjects, like the different types of magic and how to do different fairy jobs.
What fairy jobs can you think of?
There are the flower fairies, who go around polishing all the petals on all the flowers to make sure they look bright and beautiful all the time.
There are the dewdrop fairies, who go around with their tiny buckets first thing in the morning and sprinkle all the blades of grass with water.
There are the tooth fairies, who creep under your pillow in the dead of night and take away your baby teeth, for magic fairy reasons that even I don't understand.
But do you know what the worst fairy job is?
It's not being the spiderweb fairy, or even being the wee-wee fairy who makes little ones' nappies all soggy without them noticing. No, the worst fairy job is being a changeling.
Do you know what a changeling is?
A changeling is a fairy who gets exchanged for a human baby. Sometimes, this is because the baby's grown-ups aren't looking after them properly. Sometimes, it's because the fairies who organise these things think it would be funny.
Fairies are mean sometimes. I don't know why.
But fairy babies are very, very tiny. If a human got a fairy baby as a changeling, they might not even see it, and that wouldn't work very well at all. So changelings have to be big, grown-up fairies, and that can be very embarrassing for them.
Being a changeling is something that you learn at fairy school, like any other fairy job. But because it's so embarrassing, only fairies who have very bad behaviour or who are very bad at doing their schoolwork end up in the changeling classes.
Normally.
Fairy Bea was a very good fairy. She did extra fairy work in her evenings off and she worked super hard in her fairy classes, and she was at the top of her fairy group. She was going to be a flower fairy, and she was very excited about it.
On her first day, she turned up super early and collected her timetable, and flew all the way around the Big Old Oak three whole times, she was so excited. But that made her very dizzy, and so when it got to the time for her to find her class, she went the wrong way!
She climbed inside the Big Old Oak through the special secret door, and she flew all the way down the trunk and into the roots, where lots of the classrooms were. Have you ever seen a tree's roots? If you have, you'll know they're all twisty and turny, and so Fairy Bea got lost. She didn't go to the classroom where they taught Flower Fairy Magic. She went to the classroom where they taught Being A Changeling.
Being a flower fairy is a very demanding and responsible job, and only the very best fairies get to do it. So Fairy Bea was a little bit surprised when she saw the other fairies in the queue outside the class. Some of them were very frowny and grumpy, and some of them were very rowdy and noisy, and she didn't think that any of them looked like they were going to be flower fairies. But good fairies shouldn't judge by appearances, so Fairy Bea didn't say anything.
When the door opened, though, she was very, very surprised. Inside the classroom was the headteacher of the whole school, Miss Fairy Greenfly. Miss Fairy Greenfly always taught the Being A Changeling class, because she was very good with troublemakers, who always ended up there.
"Everyone come in and sit down!" said Miss Fairy Greenfly, and Fairy Bea did, because she was a good fairy and always followed instructions from her teachers. Everyone else did it too, but they did it because they thought Miss Fairy Greenfly was very scary. She stared at them all over her acorn-rimmed glasses and waited until they all stopped talking.
"Being a changeling is a very important job," the teacher began, and Fairy Bea nodded, because she agreed. It was a very important job. She was just glad that she didn't have to do it.
"So I don't want to hear any complaints in this class. I want you to give your best to your work." And Fairy Bea nodded, because she always did that.
"Now, first of all, we're going to work on crying." And all the fairies in the room cried, and Miss Fairy Greenfly walked around and watched them all very closely. She found one fairy who she didn't think was very good at crying, and so the teacher took her up to the front of the room, and lifted her little fairy skirt, and smacked her little fairy bottom, until the fairy cried properly, and Miss Fairy Greenfly let her go.
"Now we're going to work on screaming." And all the fairies in the room screamed, and Miss Fairy Greenfly walked around and watched them all very closely. She found one fairy who she didn't think was very good at screaming, and so the teacher took her up to the front of the room, and lifted her little fairy skirt, and smacked her little fairy bottom, until the fairy screamed properly, and Miss Fairy Greenfly let her go.
By now, Fairy Bea was getting a little bit worried. She didn't think this looked very much like Flower Fairy Magic, and so, being a polite and well-brought-up little fairy, she raised her hand to ask the teacher if there had been a mistake.
But Miss Fairy Greenfly wasn't used to teaching polite and well-brought-up little fairies. She was used to teaching very naughty and badly-behaved little fairies who didn't really want to be in her class and had to be handled strictly to make sure that they were good enough to be changelings. If fairies are too naughty to even be changelings, then they are thrown out of the Big Old Oak and the Fairy Court turns them into elves, which is very shameful for everyone. So when she saw Fairy Bea putting her hand up, Miss Fairy Greenfly thought that she was going to say something silly, or do something naughty, and she wasn't going to have any of that in her class.
"We have a volunteer!" Miss Fairy Greenfly told the class, and Fairy Bea was very confused, because she didn't know that she had volunteered for anything. "This little fairy is going to show us some Changeling Magic!"
Changeling Magic is very special magic, but it's also very embarrassing magic for big grown-up fairies to do. That's because Changeling Magic was specially designed for fairies to do when they pretend to be babies, and babies don't have magic wands or fairy dust like fairies normally do. It has to work by doing things that babies normally do. So some Changeling Magic relies on throwing things, and lots of Changeling Magic relies on crying and screaming and babbling, but the most powerful type of Changeling Magic relies on doing wee-wees and poo-poos in your pants. And changelings learn to do this very early on in their classes because it takes a long time for grown-up fairies to get used to it without being embarrassed.
Miss Fairy Greenfly opened a drawer in her desk, which was made out of the Old Oak wood and therefore very magical, and she took out a fairy-sized nappy. And Fairy Bea screamed.
"I don't wanna!"

This is a memorial from Roussay on Orkney to James Leonard, an early tennant organiser. He was ultimately evicted from his land by the infamous landlord Frederick William Traill-Burroughs. Following his eviction, three of his children died of diphtheria. But his work in organising the tennants and giving evidence to the Scottish government ultimately got more protections for the crofters and may have helped prevent other clearances on Orkney.
Despite this he failed to win protection in time for the crofters of Roussay, and the island's population has gone from over 1000 at the time of the clearances to less than 100 today.
James Leonard's words still ring true today: "I am prepared to speak the truth and will not be cowed by landlordism" and "We are under the despotism and terror of the landlord and we want that removed ; even though I should fail in this battle, I will fight it out."
Today, James Leonard's farm stands derelict, and the land he rented unfarmed. Meanwhile, Burrough's grand house was gutted by a fire in the 1980s and also currently stands empty.

Invader's Cookbook #4: Crafting, Consumables, Community Assistance.
Warning: this issue of Invader's Cookbook is only for those who have completed the base game. If you're a new player, using advice from this guide may ruin your natural progression path.
Part 1: Community
As you become better at PvP and it becomes more interesting to you, Elden Ring stops being a PvE game with PvP attached to it, and becomes a PvP game with PvE attached to it. And if you do dueling and invading with any regularity, you will discover that certain resources are way more limited than they should be. Which is fine for a PvE playthrough, but in PvP it becomes a detriment to the variety of the things you can do in any given encounter.
For example, starlight shards is an item that gives you enough Focus Points regeneration that allows sorcery builds to rival melee builds in invasion scenarios. There are only a few dozen of them in the entire game without going to NG+ and they are completely unfarmable.
That is why some players opt to simply duplicate their items via reloading their saves and dropping them to their friends. It is not considered cheating, not by the dedicated PvP community and not by From Software either.
There are a bunch of ways to go about acquiring items.
1. Find a person who plays PvP and who has already acquired all the items
Pretty straightforward. If you don't have such a person, shoot a DM to @huggingtentacles she can usually help.
2. r/PatchesEmporium
Patches Emporium is a community on Reddit where you can place a request for certain items, and if you're willing to fulfill someone else's request, you can successfully gain all the items you need.. Typically they will ask you for a "mule". A mule means transferring their items between characters through your character. You simply pick up the items, and give them back to another character they have. In return they might share some stuff you might want.
3. Join a PvP-focused discord community
You can find plenty of them online, Elden Ring PvP is the most popular one. Plenty of streamers on twitch, big and small, also have similar communities.
Part 2: I got the stuff, what now?
Now you probably have enough crafting materials to craft literally every item in the game in ridiculous amounts. Which is good, you will need them for the following items:
1. Boluses
Boluses to cure status effects are the most important, especially Preserving Boluses that help against Scarlet Rot. Make a bunch of them.
2. Uplifting Aromatics
Finally you can use those perfume bottles for something! Having up to 10 is quite strong. It makes you take 90% less damage on your next hit, as well as gives you a noticeable damage boost. Very important to cross places where you might get ambushed around the corner. You can also use this aromatic to buff mobs in the area!
3. Greases
You can only use greases on weapons with physical affinities: Keen, Heavy, Quality and Standard. Now you are able to replace regular greases with Drawstring Grease, which does significantly more damage, albeit it lasts for a shorter period of time. You can use it quickly mid-combat, highly recommend
4. Everything else
Dried livers, various Pots Cured Meat, Exalted Flesh, Bolts, Arrows, Pickled Turtle Necks, Throwing Daggers, Warming Stones. All of these amazing items are important to use in most PvP activities. Learn to utilise them to their fullest potential.
Part 3: And what about making builds faster?
Through other players you can also acquire weapons and runes. However, you can't acquire weapons that are higher level than the one you have already upgraded on your character. You'll have to upgrade a weapon to a certain level if you want someone to drop you weapons of that level.
A typical fast playthrough to meta level 125-137 would be getting a +10 somber weapon as fast as possible, and then having every other item dropped from another player, then finishing the playthrough with all of that stuff and the appropriate level using the infinite runes you got. (Do you see why I don't recommend this to first time playthroughs? Don't ruin your experience.)
Closing Thoughts
One aspect of Elden Ring PvP that's rarely talked about is how the developers never quite anticipated the amount of PvP some people do. Some items are simply too ridiculous to farm for PvP purposes. Imagine having to farm for half an hour only to waste all of that in one single invasion! Some builds like sorcery simply shoot themselves in the foot by not having vital things like starlight shards.
It's not all bad though. After all, trading items and helping eachother makes for a more meaningful community interaction among players, even if it's purely transactional. In fact, I met many cool players through trading favours like that, and I hope you will as well.
Aren't sure about talking to strangers to get Elden Ring items? Try talking to @huggingtentacles she is always happy to help out new invaders!

Sense there's been beings to give it names this continent has had many. But for the last few milenia its name has been Äterra’Mūteer meaning Land of the Mother in the Old Human tongue.
Many kingdoms and empires have risen and fallen, border lines drafted and redrawn over its long history. But as it proteins to our story however these are just a few of the kingdoms ive drafted so far
Ardellia
Capital: Valoria
Adrellia is known for its vast grassland and soft rolling hills. This lends well to their exquisite wine and cheese industry, both of which are their largest export.
The Aristocracy is the second most relaxed and liberal. The Monarchs both king and queen openley take lovers outside of their marriage.its so normal it's not even mentioned. Arranged marriage is most common here.
While in other kingdoms it's normal to have a ball or celebration on special occasion or even a spur of the moment thing once and a while. Ardellian cities are known for having lavish soirees almost year round.
Its said that if the night is quiet the nobility are just recovering and if its quite during the day the king or queen has passed away.
While it seems to be the most hedonistic kingdom, Ardellia is actually the most pious. While they rarely attend chapel, and they don't abide by anti-adultery scripture, Ardellia has the strictest laws on those who are so-called “mother’s betrayers” elfs and those born with magic.
Elves while in other kingdoms are allowed to work inside the cities. In Ardellia elves are not allowed to step foot near the city's walls.
Its even worse for magi. In other kingdoms practicing magic inside cities may be punished by a quick death.
In Ardellia magi are not killed, no they're captured to be torched, Ardellia turns torturing magi into a performance. Ardellia also has the largest population of mage hunters.
Delmaría
Capital Ciudad de Delmaría
Delmaria is known for being covered in thick forests and rocky unfarmable terrain.
The kingdom is the largest importer of crops from other kingdoms. But that doesn't mean they are unable to grow their own crops. They can just on a smaller scale.
The most common crops that grow in Delmaria are corn and barley, beans, and sugar and an assortment of chili peppers
While they are the smallest exporter of crops they are a large exporter of comfort goods and lumber.
The Aristocracy in Delmaria is on the more pious side and adheres more to scripture than other kingdoms. The monarchs attend scripture more times than not. But while being heavily religious. Delmaria’s treatment of elves is quite good. While elves are not allowed to own property inside cities like in other kingdoms. Elves in dalmaria are allowed in cities after dark, they can bring a lawsuit against a human, among a myriad of other rights. (while they aren't a pillar of elven rights it seems like Delmaria is making progress lol)
The treatment of magi is the standard. Magic is illegal and punished by the quick death
Delmaría wildlands
The Delmaría wildlands are a forest said to be enchanted. The forest is claimed by the kingdom of Delmaría.
The rumor that they're enchanted came about when a large logging party went missing a time ago, the group that was sent to look for them went missing as well, and the group after them and so on 5 times until the king at the time gave up, after rumors began to spread that he was sending sacrifices to a succubus blood witch.
Fenholm
Capital- Wesdene
Fenhom is a rater isolated kingdom, known for its beautiful fjords and large mountain range with snow capped peaks.
While being isolated due to the isthmus that connects them to the larger landmass being blocked by the beautiful but treacherous mountains that aren't easily traversed by a single person let alone a carriage full of ornate glass dolls. Thus travel and exports three Fenholm’s many port cities.
From those many ports most imports and exports are people. But a few non-anamite things are shipped, including glass, iron, copper, and ice. Really the only edible that fenholm exports is the famous fenholm cherries.
In recent years, Little is known about the Aristocracy of fenholm aside from the names of the king and queen and the few nobles that travel to other kingdoms. Those that do, speak little of the politics of their home kingdoms. But a certain few with loose lips, spit such fanciful words its hard to know what's true and untrue.
Starkenholt
Capital: Burcnmere
Starkenholt is known for having a majority of its land covered by fertile farmland. The kingdom is the largest exporter of wheat. Keeping most of the beats, potatoes, onions, strawberries, raspberries, legumes and carrots.
Starkenholt’s has one of the largest hunting guilds of the continent. They're often hired by other kingdoms to hunt for feasts and such.
The aristocracy of Starkenholt is very moderet when it comes to religion. Elves are allowed to work in the cities, the monarchy is the largest employer of elves. Magic is outlawed and punishable by the quick death.
the Harrington dynasty had ruled for 26 generations before Lenceslous Vonstrumhart took power and established the Vonstrumhart dynasty who are Starkenholt.

my fascination with like. logistics and establishing a believable setting is fucking hilarious. like i wanted to make a simple fantasy setting to contain my ocs and now theres details about a fucking mushroom-based agricultural revolution (because they introduced decay vampires, who naturally have some influence over mushrooms, and therefore were able to both increase their yield, nutritional value, and establish a wider variety of flavours, allowing for it to progress from cheap filler to a key staple food.) this is literally to answer the question "why are cities this big and the land this unfarmed?"
#dreamlit rambling#like this believability first mindset even expands to like . [REDACTED; KINK] shit too. iykyk

What is here was dangerous and repulsive to us. This message is a warning about danger.
The danger is in a particular location... it increases towards a center... the center of danger is here... of a particular size and shape, and below us.
The danger is still present, in your time, as it was in ours.
The danger is to the body, and it can kill.
The form of the danger is an emanation of energy.
The danger is unleashed only if you substantially disturb this place physically. This place is best shunned and left uninhabited.
—More wording from the Sandia National Laboratory report on long-term (10,000 year) nuclear waste warning signs.
The Sandia report explored designs for physical markers which conveyed the concepts of dangerous emanations, shapes that evoke bodily harm, and the concept of "shunned land" that appears destroyed or poisoned. The designs suggested included:
Landscape of Thorns: A mass of many irregularly-sized spikes protruding from the ground in all directions.
Spike Field: A series of extremely large spikes emerging from the ground at different angles.
Spikes Bursting Through Grid: A large square grid pattern across the site, through which large spikes protrude at various angles.
Menacing Earthworks: Large mounds of earth shaped like lightning bolts, emanating from the edges of a square site. The shapes would be strikingly visible from the air, or from artificial hills constructed around the site.
Black Hole: An enormous slab of basalt or black-dyed concrete, rendering the land uninhabitable and unfarmable.
Rubble Landscape: A large square-shaped pile of dynamited rock, which over time would still appear anomalous and give a sense of something having been destroyed.
Forbidding Blocks: A network of hundreds of house-sized stone blocks, dyed black and arranged in an irregular square grid, suggesting a network of "streets" which feel ominous and lead nowhere. The blocks are intended to make a large area entirely unsuitable for farming or other future use.
This intersection of public safety, deep time, science fiction and Land Art gives me chills. I don’t believe any of these have been built, but I may use them as story prompts.
“Look upon my works, ye mighty, and despair…”

Cecil is the main character from the podcast Welcome to Night Vale. It's still ongoing, but it was REALLY popular 6-10 years ago. The podcast is about a radio host (Cecil) in a really surreal, magical realism town (nightvale) and is famous for having explicit queer rep from the very first episode (and also having a panel at dashcon lmao). He's DEF a Tumblr sexy man, but it's been a couple years since his heyday so you might not have seen him around
With the war over, Squid took down his potato minions and my fields have gone unfarmed. While we were enemies, I still respect Squid Kid, I understand now that it is only with a worthy rival that once can reach their fullest potential, while he may have lost the war, he's gone from 70 subscribers to having tens of thousands of fans so it can't be said that he's lost completely. For my part I've realized now that rank number isn't an achievement, it's a prison which forces you to dedicate your life to defending a temporary title, but now with the war finally over... I'm free

Poison - Thomas Sharpe (Open Starter)
Thomas stared out at the snowy wasteland before him. Even in spring this land was as good as dead. The red clay below the earth smothered out any life that dared tried to grow on his ancestral estate. The mineral that had once gained his family wealth and rank was also a poison. Slowly dragging them down into the depths of destitution. With unfarmable land and a sinking manner house, they were surviving by the skin of their teeth.
The only way they would make it, would be to get the funds to continue mining the clay. There was only one way of achieving that. And the plan turned his stomach.

So sad that most of this game has not a whole lot to do with my favorite aspect of the world building. So let's talk about something tangentially related:
The Climate and Physical Geography of Aea!
So central kingdom of Aea was built on a 'Field of Oblivion'. Which to explain are cracks in physical reality that lead to Oblivion lays. This kingdom was built upon a more minor field so the dangers were ignored in the founding of the kingdom.
But because of Aea being built on such a place, with little other choice anyways, the kingdom exists in a very mild place. It is a very flat land, mountains exist closer to the borders nearest H'afeara, ignoring the mountains tgat are growing upside down at least. The land that is there is mostly unfarmable, and the portions that are aren't super fertile. There will never be a case of abundant harvest or low harvest, it's very consistent and not enough to feed a whole kingdom. It was barely enough before and it definitely isn't currently as Aea has grown so much. Funnily enough there are a lot of massive forests in Aea but most of them are not safe to go into for one reason or another.
The weather is also super mild and has two modes. Nothing and winter storm warning. The sky is always dark and gloomy, and even worse when it gets to the colder seasons. They do not see the sun, but assume it's there somewhere since the crops still grow. The wind is only ever a breeze and the temperature is neither hot or cold, just a touch warm. Everything about the land is horribly consistent.
Then comes winter which is the most excitement people get during the year. Every year on the same day the winter clouds roll in and for weeks everything freezes over under tons of snow. People like to guess if the snow will come earlier or later on the designated day. It came the next day once and everyone thought it was the end of the world. But after the weeks of constant snow storms the freezing cold remains and slowly warms up until we are back to nothing.
Now a place like this would probably doesn't sound great to live in, and that's ignoring the heightened monster issue that come with living near Oblivion, but because of these factors Aea survived long enough to become the powerhouse that it is.

my half a sustainable ag degree just aggressively kicked me into overdrive about this so here's my fantasy soil type: quickened soil. You got your classic clay/loam/silt pyramid and then there's also quick and slow. quick soil's got ghosts in it. there's Magic there. it's got a presence. you have to till the soil full of blood and bone of things that were magical when they were alive to make it quick, but unfarmed untouched earth in more magical regions ends up being naturally quick as well. magical crops need quick soil to grow, but it fucks with nonmagical crops like crazy. your plants go Weird and end up as semi-magical crops one way or another and not necessarily in a way you wanted. to make your soil slow again so you can just plant beans and shit you have to basically plant a bunch of stuff that absorbs magic, then rip all that out and burn it away from the field, aggressively plow the field, then do that again a few more times until it passes a soil test.
it’s easy to forget, so I’ll remind y’all: you can make fantasy versions of anything. yes even things you might not think about. like soil types. I am thinking of fantasy soil types right now
