Tbh I think fixing Spider-Man comics is as simple as telling good stories in the present. So in that vein, I don’t really think they have to go through the trouble of walking back and officially undoing OMD. I’m beginning to realize that readers who fiercely demand it really just want an official apology for all the material they haven’t enjoyed since

Apparently Dan Slott (fool and git) admitted Nick Spencer straight up was trying to undo OMD, but got shot down by editorial (last minute).
Typical Marvel Editorial. Taking a well recived idea (undoing OMD and restoring PeterMJ), and doing the the other direction out of delusional spite (PAUL).

Like! LOOK AT IT, IT'S SO CUTE!!
But I wanna know how she got it. Cuz the way I see it, there are two ways this could have gotten it
Everyone's favorite Spiderdad Peter B. made it himself (which is likely considering the uneven edges and web pattern). Bonus!: He made it himself in his fuzzy robe, upside down.
He tried but after too many failed attempts he asked someone to make it instead.

I would LOVE for the other universes to stage an intervention to have Peter undo OMD and let May go.

Seeing that post of MJ by that hack zeb wells you'd think I'd be angry, shit I'm not even livid I'm just, apathetic.
And you know what I'm tired of feeling apathy for the current Spider-Man comics. I just really want to see Peter and MJ back together and undo OMD already.
Marvel's spite towards the marriage will one day end.
I've largely been apathetic as well. I'm tired of being angry and now I just don't care and only peek in to see what asinine thing they got going on whenever a new issue comes in.

I have one question, why does Marvel hate MJ so much???? They’ve absolutely massacred my girl in the recent comics from what I’ve heard because I sure as heck have not picked up a single ASM issue since the beginning of Zeb Wells run.
MJ is just a completely different character now, and the things that I loved about her are nonexistent now. She’s unrecognizable. And if Paul 😡 wasn’t enough of a roadblock in Peter and MJ’s relationship, everything about their relationship is awful, and it’s gotten to the point where I almost don’t even want MJ and Peter to get back together.
Almost. But I think this is all some master plan Marvel has to get the fans to hate MJ so much they’ll stop badgering the company about getting MJ and Peter back together and undoing OMD. They don’t want to undo OMD, and they want the fans to feel the same way they do, and the only way to do that is to assassinate MJ and Peter’s characters so they don’t fit together like they used to. I’m too spiteful to give Marvel that satisfaction. You know what, Marvel, I’m gonna insist MJ and Peter get back together even harder! Sorry. Won’t be happy until MJ and Peter and married again.
Until that happens I’m going to continue dropping the book and am going to read the new Ultimate Spider-Man series, because it understands the characters better than whatever dolts over at Marvel who are in charge of ASM do.
MJ, my fictional queen, they could never make me hate you!!! 😭

Every DC comic I read makes me wanna go read more Marvel Comics. But like then they’re so boring. Guardians of the Galaxy is the only valid comic out right now.

obviously this applies to like every comic character that isnt fairly new but oh my god peter. when his life was getting to a good place and he was pretty well developed (thank you straczynski) omd happens and they undo his marriage and progress with mj and with all his loved ones that knew his identity like may the f4 matt etc etc and then slott gets ahold of him and makes him resident unfunny funny guy and then he makes him a billionaire because doc ock takes over his body because none of his enemies can die forever and then he gets traumatized over and over again but we never see the aftermath and how he copes with it and then maybe he gets a teeny tiny bit of development probably accidentally because these writers cannot write. and then it never gets addressed again. and then spencer hypes up the kindred plot for 2 years with absolutely nothing actually happening and then its dumb and peter just gets traumatized again and then he becomes a twitch streamer for a hot second. and now i dont know what theyre doing with mj. and omd happened 15 years ago and peter and mj are still not married and aunt may still doesnt know again

Any thoughts on Joe Quesada's retirement from Marvel?
He was simultaneously the best and worst thing to ever happen to Marvel. Completely turned the company around after the 90s bankruptcy by being willing to take risks, break with tradition, and trust new talent with the big toys. We would not have gotten Bendis Avengers, the Ultimate Universe, Priest on Black Panther, and countless other gambles that rejuvenated Marvel if he hadn't taken charge. Without Quesada you would not get the MCU since his influence is as much a part of it's DNA as Bendis, Whedon, or Millar. He and Bendis made the Avengers into the juggernaut franchise it is today, and that alone cements him as a Marvel Legend and icon of the comic book industry. That side of Quesada has my gratitude and respect.
Conversely he's also the guy who broke sections of the Marvel Universe beyond repair, out of a need to return parts of the MU back to what it was like when he was a kid. He smothered the opportunity offered by Morrison's reinvention of the X-Men, with the Decimation leading directly into the never ending genocide plots that torpedoed the franchise in the 2010s until Hickman. Civil War toxified Iron Man and everyone on the Pro-Reg side so badly that Marvel had to soft reboot the entire thing out of continuity in order to make everyone friends again. Then of course there's Spider-Man and One More Day, which earned him the permanent ire of a non-insubstantial portion of the Spidey fanbase. For the record I don't think his departure will cause Marvel to budge on their stance that OMD was a good thing that needed to happen. Quesada may have been the one to finally pull the trigger on it, but editorial had been wanting to undo the marriage practically from the moment it happened. The Clone Saga unfolded the way it did because some saw in Ben an opportunity to restore Spidey to how he was "meant to be": unmarried and single.
So how to characterize Quesada's handling of Marvel? Peaks and valleys. The good moments were some of the greatest ever, stories that would go on to directly shape the films. Likewise the bad moments were truly awful which left some characters permanently hobbled by stories he greenlit, particularly Spidey and Scarlet Witch. Regardless of whether you think the good times outweighed the bad or not, he's definitely earned his place in the Marvel Hall of Fame off of his impact on the brand.
