Watched Nimona finally, love that lil shit

Yeah so everybody knows this movie is an allegory for people with gender identities that aren't accepted in the greater society, and subsequent suffering those people experience when struggling with that environment. Nobody can look at that movie and say it was just about a monster, come on. There were so many golden lines that could be used word for word about a non-binary or trans person's struggles with their identity and place in the world. The world needs more representation like Nimona 🩷

Ok so I was working on this late October of this year, but since I got SEVERELY SIDETRACKED (coughs gaypeople COUGHS), I just decided to post my WIP storyboards for the animatic I was going to make 💀

I still do plan on refining this and editing it together into an actual video *eventually*, but that eventually will probably happen sometime next year 💀

So! Might as well feed the masses while I’m away in lala land haha 🤗🤗🤗

I think it’d be kinda funny if whenever a soul talks to or influences color, it takes the format of something like “you.”

Something like this:

* You want to wear the rainbow shoes today.

“No, I don’t,” Color muttered. “We’re going there to work, not to play.”

* You pout.

And if Color comprises by wearing something else, or puts the shoes in a bag to wear later after wherever they’re going or where he thinks it’d be more appropriate, the text says something like

* !

* Wearing rainbow shoes fill you with Kindness.

* :)

And then Color gets hit with an overwhelming wave of excitement and gratitude and love from somewhere within that he’s momentarily dazed (maybe he sees a blurry flash image in his mind of a little girl jumping up and down in excitement before it fades away) and has to work to stay grounded in reality for most of the day up until they finally put on their rainbow shoes

Some random and quick drawings as I am bored out of my mind waiting for the time to take the buss (55 minutes left).

I once, or twice, saw a drawing of Ink coming out of Nightmare's goop. So I think I wanna make that canon in my version, lol. But Nightmare is able to block it from happening using his magics, and Ink can tell when Nightmare isn't blocking it.

I'm going back home for the autumn break and will not bring my drawing tablet with me. Aka no digital art for at least a week.
