#ArchieWeek2022#archie andrews#kevin keller#kevarchie#karchie#riverdale#oc#getting the joke about how many caves and dark untouched places kevin has helped archie explore so far out of the way up front#underrated understudied dynamic imo especially after s3#kevin is such a fun character to set up against archie because he's probably the only inner circle member who really sees him at his worst#and so often too. kevin participates in so many of the low archie-is-failing-or-weak points in a way not many characters do#archie plays the stoic 'i'm fine' game with everyone else but kevin he's pretty much always straightforward with about how he's doing#physically and emotionally#kevin is one of the only characters who doesn't challenge archie to perform masculinity in a specific way and archie is. so calm with him#so open with him#kevin (CANONICALLY even) gets off on that vulnerability dynamic but in a wholesome earnest way where it's balanced with genuine care#he's basically the only one who'll hear an archie plan and go 'but is that safe for you??' as a first reaction#'is that physically even achievable?'#and then archie sometimes feels like the only main who takes kevin seriously#or else he takes kevin seriously in ways other characters don't#like#would any other character hand kevin a machete? would archie hand many other characters a machete?#exactly#happy archie week
