Underlust Reimagine Frisk Bio (Tomo)

🤍 They don’t remember anything about their life on the Surface, or how they fell to the Underground in the first place. The fall may have caused this amnesia.

🤍 Overall, Frisk seems to be a very whimsical and carefree individual, even despite the fact that they could have died on their fall and don’t remember anything at all about their life.

🤍 Somehow, it seems that they have a natural talent for reading the room and knowing exactly what to say to make someone feel better when they are down.

🤍 Frisk has a great sympathy and empathy for the monsters of the Underground, which is something they definitely are able to use to both their and others’ benefit.

Design Notes

🤍 Little about Tomo’s design was changed from the original UL design. In fact, this is part of what inspired me to use flag designs for the rest of the characters’ color palettes.

🤍 Their nickname comes from the Japanese word “tomodachi,” meaning “friend.” This is supposed to reference how they are far more interested in making platonic connections rather than anything else.

🤍 Their role and personality is actually a bit inspired by Tooru Honda from Fruits Basket! Just a little bit. ULR isn’t a shoujo manga and there’s no intended canonical ships or anything.

Canonical Relationships

🤍 Toriel (Ash) - Tomo likes Ash a lot and is very thankful for the home that Ash had offered them, even if, in the end, they turned down the offer to stay in favor of trying to find a way home. 

🤍 Sans (Ace) - Tomo has a fair understanding of Ace’s internal frustrations and has attempted to talk them out with him, but it only makes Ace upset. Tomo, however, remains patient with him.

🤍 Papyrus (Duo) - Duo is probably the closest friend Tomo has made during their time in the Underground. They spend a lot of time travelling and talking together!

🤍 Undyne (Pearly) - It takes Pearly a bit to warm up to Tomo, considering Pearly is a bit more hostile towards humans given her job as a Royal Guard, but the two end up being notably close.

🤍 Alphys (Ally) - Tomo believes most things anyone says flatly, so they didn’t initially realize most of the things Ally was telling them were flat-out lies. Nevertheless, Tomo is relentlessly forgiving even as they discover the truth.

🤍 Metacrit - Tomo remains pretty calm and happy around Metacrit despite how hostile and rude he is towards them. However, this patience ends up being to their benefit, since Metacrit eventually decides to become friends with Tomo.

🤍 Asgore (Myriad) - Tomo doesn’t even flinch as Myriad attempts to take their life, and immediately instead tries to offer their help, despite what seems to be his silence and frustration. Who knows how that will turn out...

🤍 Chara (Arrow) - Tomo has seen them a few times and wonders what they could do to help Arrow, since Arrow never seems happy.

Underlust Reimagine Rabbit Family Bios

(🐇) Loppie || (🟢) Calibri || (🔵) Jack

❤️ The trio live together with Loppie’s husband. They’ve been very happy without much of any issue.

🐇 Loppie is very grateful to have children in her life when she went so long thinking it would never be possible.

🟢 Calibri and Jack are twins who are very close to each other, Calibri usually being the stronger one of the two of them.

🔵 However, Jack is rather protective of their sibling, since Calibri is not foreign to bullying from being the only skeleton of their otherwise-bunny-only family.

Design Notes

🐇 Her design is mostly the same as the original Undertale Snowdin Shopkeep bunny, but I decided to use the abrosexual flag for her outfit colors instead. They’re a bit shifted to purple rather than pink, but hopefully it’s noticable!

🐇 I will be honest and say her name purely comes from “Lopunny...” you know, the Pokemon? I thought of the name as a cute nickname for one and decided to use it for her, and before I could come up with anything better, the name stuck.

🟢 Calibri’s name comes from the font of the same name. This is to reflect the pattern of font names used for the skeleton bros in Undertale. Naturally, they speak using said font as well.

🔵 Jack’s name comes from “jack rabbit,” and was originally a name I used for the Nice-Cream Guy, but I decided to give it to them instead. 

❤️ Neither of the kids have flags shown in their designs because they are still in stripes and in the monster culture of ULR, those who are still in stripes still aren’t confident enough or are too young to pick something yet and are still exploring their identity options. 

❤️ Additionally, Calibri and Jack are one of the many design foils. Their personalities reflect this, as well. Please note that their “feminine”- and “masculine”-esc appearances do not reflect their gender. Calibri just likes dresses.

Underlust Reimagine Muffet Bio (Aqua)

🕸 They’re the owner of a love hotel / resort in Hotland, named the MUFF Resort. It offers ammenities for those spending just a few hours as well as those spending a full-length trip there.

🕸 She’s obsessed with money and will do basically anything if it benefits her monetarily one way or another. 

🕸 This includes some shady deals that they’ve been a part of in the past...

🕸 ... but, it seems they’re pretty good at covering up said deals, since outside of those they’ve dealt with, no one knows that he’s done anything remotely sketchy.

Design Notes

🕸 Their design uses the colors from the pansexual and genderfluid flags. Their name is a reference to the genderfluid identity, “aqua,” or water, being a “fluid.”

🕸 Originally, her design was supposed to be entirely using the genderfluid flag, but I wanted to have another color with it and decided to use some yellow as well from the pan flag.

🕸 I came up with both designs separately, but couldn’t decide between the two of them, and in the end chose to use both. The outfits are their casual and formal, and/or fem. presenting and masc. presenting.

🕸 That being said, Aqua is the only character I have that has interchangable outfits used in the same present time! Just a small fun fact.

Canonical Relationships

🕸 Alphys (Ally) - The two of them made a deal back in the day when Ally was still testing their prototype robot designs. Eventually, after testing was completed, Ally took one of their robots back.

🕸 Napstaton - Aqua found her to be an absolute nuisance.

🕸 Metacrit - While a similar nuisance to Napstaton, Metacrit was far more tolerable to deal with, so Aqua doesn’t have the same hatred towards Metacrit.

🔬 His design has colors from both the neutrois and androphile flags.

🔬 The nickname “Sage” comes from the shade of green of the same name, which green is a color shared in all of the flags for his identity. It’s also a reference to “sages” typically being wise individuals, as he’s a scientist.

🔬 They were designed with simplicity in mind, since he’s not a very extravagent person. He tends to be more formal, and keeps his jacket buttoned up when he can. But when he’s tired or has been working too much, he unbuttons it.

Canonical Relationships

🔬 Sans (Ace) - He’s the closest with Ace out of anyone in the Royal Scientists. Because of this, Sage tends to let Ace slack off more than the others, but he can always depend on Ace to do even some of the hardest things.

🔬 Alphys (Ally) - Ally and Sage aren’t the closest of individuals, they get along more like co-workers than anything else. Sage still admires Ally for her concern and intelligence.

🔬 Asgore (Myriad) - Their relationship is entirely professional, as Myriad is essentially Sage’s boss, being the king and all.

✖ Originally a Royal Scientist, he assisted Dr. Gaster in the development of the Lust serum.

✖ After a scientific accident, he left the Royal Scientists behind to find other work.

✖ Adopted Papyrus when he was young and living on his own. Sans became an older brother to him.

✖ Currently lives as a recluse, locked in his room, with a crippling depression no one really knows the cause of...

✖ His present day outfit is based off of the colors from the asexual flag. His old outfit, similar in design to the orignal UL!Sans, has colors from the bisexual flag.

✖ The abudance of grey and black in his outfit choices is supposed to reflect his muted and closed off emotions towards other people.

✖ His scarf covering his face is rather important! Because of his Lust OD, he is constantly leaking a magic liquid from his mouth, which is seen as rather lewd in ULR. In the past, he didn’t care, and spent most of his time in a strip club anyway, but nowadays he’s far more insecure.

✖ His nickname “Ace” was given to him as a direct reference to his asexuality. In the ULR universe, however, he’s only addressed as “Sans” and still isn’t wholly accepting or comfortable with being called “Ace.”

Canonical Relationships

✖ Papyrus (Duo) - His adoptive younger brother. Ace cares about him immensely, perhaps to a fault: he tends to be very over-protective for everything Duo does and everyone Duo meets.

✖ Alphys (Ally) - His only remaining friend. Ally is the only person Ace will talk to about topics bothering him, although her anime conversations bore him to no end.

✖ Metacrit - Ace knows of Metacrit and has talked to him several times before, but isn’t the closest with him since Metacrit tends to avoid him.

✖ Gaster (Sage) - These two used to be very close. Ace cared for Sage more than anybody else while he was alive. Ace has never really gotten over Sage’s death...

✖ Grillby (Hugo) - These two also used to be rather close. Ace reached a point where he even (although drunk) managed to confess to Hugo. However, it wasn’t much later until a severe disagreement forced them to split.

✖ Frisk (Tomo) - Ace doesn’t like them. They make him question too much about everything he’s been believing for the past five years of his life.

✖ Asgore (Myriad) - He doesn’t really have a strong opinion one way or another, but Ace is grateful for Myriad’s willingness to offer him a very lax job while Ace’s mental health isn’t doing too well.

✖ Toriel (Ash) - They don’t know each other’s names, but they do exchange jokes through the door blocking off Home’s ruins from Snowdin.

Relationships from RP’s and side stories (these do not impact the plot of ULR directly)

✖ Insans (from ALIVE by @tatatale) - Insans is the first person Ace really met outside of ULR, and they managed to get close after Insans semi-kidnapped Ace for a hangout session. It was... both fun and traumatic for Ace, leaving him with very conflicted emotions towards Insans. In a way, they’re sort of a weird family along with Condy and Sappy.

✖ Cheshire (from Wickedtale by @alch3mic) - The closest person to Ace in probably his whole life. He has a huge soft spot for him, despite their relationship starting with Cheshire breaking into Ace’s house on a regular basis. Ace has nearly gotten himself killed for Cheshire’s sake numerous times, but in turn is also extremely clingy both emotionally and physically to the point where it’s probably unhealthy.

✖ Condoriano (Insans x Ace shipchild by @murmur-utdr-au/@murmurkins) - Ace cannot be around him for very long, usually varying in intervals based on his mood and what Condoriano wants to ramble about. Condy’s great love for his mom (Ace) terrifies Ace the most.

✖ Sappy (by @sukk0) - Their friendship is... rocky, at best. They don’t get along as bad as they could (and perhaps should, in some cases), but they’re not exactly good at talking with each other in the slightest. Insans is really their main connecting link, since when they’re left alone together, it doesn’t really end very well.

✖ Rain (from Damagedtale by @6nimus9) - Explaining their “friendship” is a difficult task. Ace doesn’t like Rain much at all, and Rain is pretty neutral on Ace but is nevertheless concerned about him since Ace is close to both Rain’s brother (Insans) and best friend (Cheshire). Rain is there for Ace more than Ace probably deserves. And they were kidnapped together once. That’s a thing that happened.

✖ Lust (from Underlust by @nsfwshamecave) - They have a rather odd relationship. In a short summary, it’s a rather emotionally disconnected casual sex relationship. Or, rather, perhaps more emotionally one-sided from Lust’s end.

Underlust Reimagine Papyrus Bio (Duo)

🔸 Left on the streets of Home as a child for a reason he still does not exactly know.

🔸 Is closer with Undyne than Sans; mostly comes from the fact that Sans would leave Papyrus with Undyne and Gerson while he was working.

🔸 Aspires to be a part of the Royal Guard because they’re incredibly popular and attractive. He trains with Undyne, who is in the Guard, so he can eventually get in.

🔸 Really cares for everyone who’s close to him -- and even strangers -- but sometimes forgets to care about himself first.

Design Notes

🔸 His outfit color palette comes from the designs of the bisexual and demisexual flags. His namesake comes from similar things, “bi” and “duo” both meaning “two,” with “duo” beginning with a “d” like “demisexual.”

🔸 The design for his outfit in particular comes more from UL!Sans’s rather than UL!Papyrus’s, in part because I wanted to have a direct showing of how Duo “looks up” to how Ace used to be popular, and also because UL!Papyrus’s design is too good, I couldn’t do it justice.

🔸 His “in stripes” outfit is intentionally messy and uncoordinated, as baby Duo put together the outfit himself. Its color scheme also references Ace’s later (present) outfit.

Canonical Relationships

🔸 Sans (Ace) - His adoptive older brother, who he worries about greatly, but doesn’t really feel any sort of brotherly love for. He admires who Ace used to be, someone social who always had friends to hang out with (or so Duo thinks), and because of that he tries to model himself on that vision of Ace he has.

🔸 Undyne (Pearly) - They’re probably closer than Duo could ever be to Ace. They grew up together for the past ten years, Duo often staying with Pearly and ULR!Gerson while Ace was busy with work. He’s done so much for her and she means the world to him.

🔸 Chara (Arrow) - The weird ghost that keeps hanging around town?? He sometimes talks to them, but he doesn’t know where they came from or if anyone else can see them.

Relationships from RP’s and side stories (these do not impact the plot of ULR directly)

🔸 Rain (from Damaged Tale by @6nimus9) - Duo cares for Rain a lot and tends to flirt with him on a regular basis. They’ve been on one date before, Duo doing so behind his brother’s back. Although, Duo recognizes he has no legitimate chances at having any intimate relationship with Rain, and instead just tries to be a very good and supportive friend.

🔸 Insans (from ALIVE by @tatatale) - They text every once in a while, but they have not and cannot ever meet in person, due to Insans’s trauma with Papryuses, but Duo is unaware of said trauma and Insans doesn’t even know Duo is a Papyrus. Because of miscommunication, Duo thinks Insans is a pop star who lives on the Surface of ULR, and Insans thinks Duo is an interation of Underswap!Sans. 

🔸 Condoriano (Insans x Ace shipchild by @murmur-utdr-au/@murmurkins) - Duo is fully under the belief that Condy is not Ace’s child -- he doesn’t understand how his brother could even have a kid in the first place -- but he’s grown attached and close to Condoriano as if he were his uncle all the same.

Underlust Reimagine Chara Bio (Arrow)

🖤 Was the first human to fall into the Underground after the Barrier was put up.

🖤 Mostly just known by monsters as a sadistic killer who murdered dozens of people before Asgore killed them himself.

🖤 Their SOUL, with the trait of Lust, was used by Dr. Gaster to develop the Lust serum for monsterkind.

🖤 Yet, mysteriously, even after their SOUL was taken away, their body disappeared without a trace…

Design Notes

🖤 Their shirt is a direct reference to the design of the aromantic flag, which is also where their namesake comes from.

🖤 Arrow is designed as a direct foil to Tomo, ULR!Frisk. Their design is probably one of the most drastic changes from the original UL!Chara.

🖤 Their nickname of “Arrow” is probably used the least. It’s not often that they leave the AU of ULR. They typically aren’t seen by many anyhow, due to their semi-presence as a spirit- or ghost-like creature.

Canonical Relationships

🖤 Papyrus (Duo) - They don’t talk much, but Duo is one of the only people able to see Arrow in their current ghost-like form, which infuriates Arrow to an extent, but they secretly don’t mind the company.

🖤 Sans (Ace) - They’ve never talked, but Arrow does find him to be weird and has probably seen more about him than they’d like to admit. 

🖤 Frisk (Tomo) - Arrow doesn’t like them. But they might have some use for the future...

🖤 Asgore (Myriad) - Pure hatred and a drive for revenge. They want him dead, but he’s not the only one they have an unhinged desire to kill.
