so under night in birth 2 is out!!! haven't played a lot but i'm loving the little bit i've played so far! a shame the online's currently buggy on the steam version tho
Suffice to say it's always nice when a fighting game is not only good but makes me feel good playing it. Thank you for watching everyone. Thank you as well to camikatstudios for the raid.
Go check out ThunderbirdVT in the meantime, and have a good night.
Under Night In-Birth II was announced yesterday, and while I am excited, I'm also worried given that ArcSys is involved again. I hope it's good, but I also hope it doesn't get dumbed down in every possible way like Strive was. What are your thoughts on the game so far?
From what I've been hearin' and seein', it's more or less a true-to-heart sequel buildin' off of it's predecessor rather than tryin' to reinvent itself.
Every returnin' character has received a few new moves that add on to their movelist, a new addition to the battle system, Celestial, which is just a bonus that gives you the whole ass GRD bars, and well... changes to shit like frames and whatnot that makes it feel like yet another patch lmao
Speakin' of buildin' off, every returnin' character has also received new remixes/arrangements of their themes, and from what I've been hearin', they don't disappoint! (funnily, the new arrangement for Hilda's theme almost makes it sound like an entirely new one, but it's just a slower paced version with a more sinister feel as opposed to the OG's hard rock. It's great tho!)
Even though I recall bein' absolute dogshit when I tried gettin' into UNIst (tryin' to execute combos in UNI feels tighter than in any other FG I played), I'm really lookin' forward to UNI2 [Sys:Celes], and I REALLY hope to see a showcase of Kaguya and Tsurugi in the comin' months ahead (since French Bread is aimin' for an early 2024 release)
Just... hopin' the current UI is a placeholder or a WIP lol. I'm not too hung up on it, but everybody been freakin' out over how bland it looks.
Lovin' the new character art too! I really look forward to seein' all of the in full. (Enkidu looks so rad, man!)
