the thing about maria is - which, was touching on it earlier with lamb abt the dire aus and now touching on it again,

its so easy to overwhelm her - be it by excessive kindness, attention, love, etc, or by horrific, brutal, violent acts that stunlock her and make her far more susceptible to being manipulated coerced pushed into doing things she normally wouldnt ever FATHOM doing in the slightest. its why shes so easy to turn in most of her dire aus / routes with johnny, why she's so quick to grow attached to him and everything too.

coax her with praise and gentleness and love and care in between all the horrors you could throw her way and make her witness and eventually? she'll happily take the knife and get to work, herself (:
