“My eyes, I-”

“Suck it up, Kim,” you chide, standing with crossed arms in the doorway. What’s before you is truly a sight to behold. 

All seven members of BTS, nearly in tears over a stick of butter.

“Can’t we turn up the heat?” Hobi cries out, daring to glance your way. “Just one notch?” 

You tilt your head. “Why? Is it taking too long?”

They all should out a “Yes!” Which has you looking at Sejin with a chuckle. Taking a look at your watch, you can’t help but laugh even harder. 

“It’s only been four minutes.” 

What ensues is pure chaos. You’re pretty sure Jungkook starts fake-crying (little does he know you are merciless) and Yoongi claims that he has an appointment to go to. As some point Taehyung leaps forward and attempts to turn the heat up on the little electric skillet, but Sejin is quick to return the skillet to its original low temperature. 

Jin and Jimin fidget in their seats, looking like kindergarteners. However, they’re the least of your problems when you see Namjoon. 

He sits completely still in his seat, legs crossed, and staring you down like he’s plotting your untimely death. You pause, interested in this new development. 

“This is ARMY’s revenge,” Sejin announces as though at a jousting tournament. “You made them sit through an hour-long video of melting butter, and they demand retribution.” He readjusts the camera, which is streaming this live for all to see. 

Everyone quiets at this, even Jungkook quits his wailing. However, Namjoon keeps staring you down. You return the favor, never one to back down from a challenge. 

When he speaks, it’s so low that you’re sure the mic attached to his sweater has trouble catching it. 

“This was your idea, wasn’t it?”

The threat is obvious in his tone, and you’re already trying to talk yourself into standing your ground. It’s getting harder and harder to do as Namjoon’s eyes continue to bore into your soul. 

To your eternal horror, Namjoon rises from his seat. Nobody moves to stop him, not even Sejin. In fact, Sejin gives you a look that screams, run for your life! 

“I’ll take your silence as an answer, then.”

You turn on your heel, bursting through the exit. From the corner of your eye you see Namjoon take off running, chasing after you. People shout and jump out of your way, a few even going so far as to laugh. To laugh. When you’re practically on your deathbed!

Running as fast as you can, you see an elevator ahead, just about to close. “Hold the elevator!” You screech. Namjoon is gaining on you, this is your only chance. 

Squealing and panting, you launch yourself into the elevator just as the doors close. Everyone flinches when Namjoon barrels into the doors, the sound loud and jarring. 

“Um...” an intern that you haven’t met yet smiles sheepishly at you. “What floor?”

You blink. “Oh, ummm...fifth?”

The rest of the elevator ride up is silent, the only sound being that of your heart pounding in your ears. You’re pretty sure you’ve just embarked on the most deadly game of hide and seek ever. 

Your phone dings, and you pull it from your pocket to silence it. What you see has your eyes widening. 

Kim Namjoon (work): You can run, but you can’t hide 😈 

Cursing under your breath, you pocket your phone just as the elevator doors slide open. Peeking out and seeing no sign of Namjoon, you slide out into the hallway. Slipping into the first room you find, you realize that you’ve somehow wound up in the gym. Or at least, one of the many gyms the new Hybe building offers. 

Heading over to a bench and waving at a few of the members of Gfriend that greet you, you slouch down. 

“I don’t get paid enough for this,” you sigh out. Laying down to stare up at the ceiling, you take deep breaths and plan how to survive the workday without Kim Namjoon murdering you. 

Who would’ve thought the man would be so sensitive over a stick of butter?

“Hey, I think Namjoon is looking for you,” Sowon calls out, holding her phone aloft. “He just sent a message to our group chat.”

You scramble into an upright position. “No! I’m not-”

But it’s too late. Sowon looks up at you with a horrified expression. “Sorry...I told him you were in the gym with us...”

Hurtling up to your feet, you turn toward the door just as it opens. 

Namjoon enters, eyes immediately falling on you. A grin lights up his features, making you shudder. He looks around the gym, and you realize what a horrible mistake you’ve made. 

“So,” he breathes out, making a point of lifting up a weight to put back in its place, offering you a full view of his biceps as he does so. “You have chosen death.”

HI LOVES :D MatsuHana is one of my FAVORITE ships and I always love reading their fics! I’m procrastinating my other wips rn, so that do be why this is coming out rn LOL. Also that ask really made me get onto writing this, so anon thank you for sending it in LOL. There are some with VERY sensitive topics and they’re very BOLD, but I hope you all are safe while going through this list <3 (also matsuhana leans more to lots of drinking, spicy smut scenes, and teenage boy humor (like d*ck jokes and sexual innuendos) and sometimes I don’t remember to warn for that, so again CAUTION)

It was SO freakin’ funny and the other teams KILLED ME. Like how they all approached the problem differently and how some of them (KUROO) asked for help LOL. Please this is so freaking funny go read it.

quidditch gloves, parchment, and custard cream by h_lovely (T) 12.4k // THIS IS SO GOOD, I love this fic. It really takes you through the emotions, and I love all the development in it!!!! Their relationship with one another (but only as homies right? ofc ofc), and even their families loving the other, this fic is so good! Read it even if you don’t like slow burn, you won’t even notice <3333

call me maybe by totooru (T) 33.6k // okay yea another (semi) chat fic,,, fight me. MatsuHana are just funny in general but throw some other characters (like Kuroo) into it and it turns into a comedy show. But the main point of this fic was like the near miss meetings and I think that the misunderstanding were hilarious (as much as I hate misunderstandings LOL).

Magical Mishaps and How to Deal by plumtrees (M) 10.9k // I lost this fic once and I searched for it FOR THE LONGEST TIME. But that’s cause I wanted to reread this masterpiece. IT’S SO FUNNY AND CUTE AND DOMESTIC AND UGH. Also the small angst made me SO SAD. But the ENDING? THE KISSES AHHHHHHH. (I’m yelling a lot BUT that’s cause I really love this fic <3333)

hang out fall in love by carafin (T) 8.6k // I love the Makki hates Mattsun initially but then falls for the irresistible charm he posses trope. It might be my favorite trope for MatsuHana specifically LOL. Like I really love this fic and it has MAGIC. It’s like a magical version of the VA one LOL. But like no radio shows or reunited best friends in this one :(

boiled frogs by reginagalaxia (E) 91.5k // is it possible to hate a character this much? I never realized how much hate/rage I had in me. Really. Like. Imma boutta fight this MF LIKE SQUARE UP. The way I tried to manifest a fake characters death like,,,, Anyway. If my RAGE doesn’t explain how good of a freakin writer they are, then idk what will. Even Though it All Went Wrong by plumtrees (T) 9.2k // THIS IS THE REASON THIS POST CAME TO BE. I love this fic with all my heart (or what’s left of it). Like LOVE as in, this fic really broke me beyond just breaking me. Like. When Oikawa says what he says to Mattsun after the thing (you’re sorry __ _____ __ ____) and the Iwa right after (we know __’__ ___ ______ to make you ____ __ ____) (if you’re wondering wtf I’m putting here, just ctrl F you’re sorry and you’ll see), you cannot believe how hard that hit. GOD. (I am okay if you’re wondering :’)) This is my #1 favorite angst fic of all time and if you are okay mentally and have read the tags and warnings and are fine with them, then please read it. PLEASE READ THE TAGS AND WARNINGS, THERE ARE VERY SENSITIVE TOPICS!!!!

The Truth Comes Out by Your_Friendly_Neighborhood_Pigeon (T) 10.2k // this made me so sad and empty after I read it. Like I just sat there being like wtf did I just read I’m sad now. Again read the tags, there is a suicide attempt but there’s also some cheating in this one. This one also ends happy. PLEASE READ THE TAGS AND WARNINGS, THERE ARE VERY SENSITIVE TOPICS!!!!

kiyala // this writer has a LOT of fluffy MatsuHana and I really love their works! It’s just all (for the most part) really cute and there’s a lotta blurred lines and boundaries that get cleared up (they define what their relationship is but with ~love~) in their fics :) My fav? Making Sense by kiyala (T) 1.5k // it’s very cute and I am one who loves when things just fall into place :D

tookumade // this writer has some of MY FAVORITE MatsuHana fics in it and I’m kinda really sad I don’t get to ramble on about them here :( (dw I will elsewhere LOL) If I had to choose, I would say Remind Me by tookumade (T) 28.6k and Zenith, Nadir by tookumade (T) 10.7k were my absolute favorites, but I cannot choose between them so don’t make me.

plumtrees // I LOVE THIS WRITER OMG. Again, someone who has written my all time FAVORITE fics (did I mention OF ALL TIME?) and I’ve obsessively read some of them too many times :’) Because I already recommended my other faves above, Captured Light by plumtrees (T) 3.5k will be my acting favorite rn. It’s really cute and depicts some really sweet moments between MatsuHana too!

h_lovely // this writer has SO MANY GOOD FICS! I really love their series and their getting together fics are all SO GOOD UGH. I recommended my favorite teen one above, but the other ones I loved are explicit so just check out this writer in general LOL. (I REALLY love mirror flower, water moon, it’s my favorite but it’s E cause some smexy scene happen, but it’s really SO good omfg. Also the roses series IS AMAZING as well!!!!)

cream puffs and carnations; by crossbelladonna (series) 11.6k // AU SERIES!!! I love the AU’s in this series and I really liked the prompts they chose for this MatsuHana week :D My favorite from this series might’ve been there he is again by crossbelladonna (T) 1.6k cause a) I love the mattsun hc in this (for his appearance) and b) IT’S CUTE :D I definitely related to Makki and his not very subtle crushing, and also I like the IwaOi + Makki as friends trope (and then they meet Mattsun), if you couldn’t tell yet LOL.

on the anatomy of crushes by carafin (T) 2.3k // (kinda cp but not LOL) it’s very short and cute and I love it a lot LOL. I love medical AU’s (even though it’s very back burner LOL), but also, like Mattsun saves the day is the move. Like the dedication he has even going on the bus? Especially for a guy? Amazing. I could never :’)

Parallel Lines by orphan_account (T) 16.3k // IN LOVE WITH THIS FIC LIVES IN MY MIND RENT FREE CONSTANTLY. I hate math. Just putting that out here. And while it’s a math fic, IT? IS? SO? GOOD???? And like I love it when characters are smart, like I love intelligent characters so like this was just ajndf. (also same Mattsun, I am allergic to normal math.) 

live it up, drink it in by punybastard (T) 2.1k // GAH this one! This is a pretty iconic fic in MatsuHana hell (in my personal opinion) and if I didn’t have that two fic limit on my staple fics, this would be there. I really loved the ending of it (v cute and v well done), but also the small side stories that were inserted made it all the more entertaining :D (aka the volleyball) But they are drinking underage, so if you’re not about that BE WARNED.

it's cold out here by bishounen_curious (M) 8.6k // PLEASE I LOVE THIS FIC. YES READ YESYESYES READ. OKAY FIRST check tags and warnings, there’s a lot going on in this fic. Like don’t be stupid like them, drinking underage, and don’t do drugs not a good idea very very bad. Aside from that, I am in love with sad sad sad Makki (along with stupid IwaOi) and him being a sad drunk made me ajhkjdfs. Just read it and feel the akfnakjs with me LMFAO.

poolside by tothemoon (T) 4.1k // I’m starting this out with I LOVE the ending and I REALLY LOVE the way this confession panned out. It’s such a great concept and it made me ajhfldshf inside!!! Also, recursive endings are some of my favorites (if you couldn’t already tell LOL), and I think it really makes something so nostalgic and adds depth to a fic.

The Courage of Stars by FairyLights101 (T) 7.1k // AHHHHHHHHHHHHH I LOVE THIS FIC YES!!!! OKAY TW CANCER THERE’S CANCER IN THIS NO DEATH JUST PAIN and chemo (which basically is pain). Some controversy, but the angst part of me wanted him to die DONT GET ME WRONG, I’m glad he lived, but like imagine. I really love this fic, and his efforts in the bucket list were admirable :’)

we could be the greatest team by anyadisee (T) 5.7k // it’s my crack fic :D Yes, this is just Seijoh messing around, boys being boys, relationships being compared with other relationships. No pining, just me with my established relationships (and Iwa fanclubs cause those are a thing. ALWAYS).

Wet Your Whistle by darkmagicalgirl (E) 5.4k // SMUT ALERT okay but like while it’s a major plot point (lmfao I can’t believe myself), the storyline itself is good. Also, I’m all here for bartender Makki and tattoo Makki and not subtle at all Makki and basically everything Makki. I like banter and stupidity okay?

that's what you get (for waking up in vegas) by skittidyne (T) 4.2k // THIS IS SO FUNNY. I love Elvis cause he’s always officiating marriages in my fics LMFAO. But also IwaOi in this added some real nice comedy, and overall another crack fic but I really liked this one (AGAIN LMFAO).

A Bouquet of Flours by guyfierimpreg (G) 5.2k // first I want to know how they got the flour to scream, I just can’t figure it out so if anyone would like to send me pictures that’d be great. Second, they would do this bs and this is all canon. I said what I said, and I don’t take criticism. Like, matsuhana best parents proven by the magical mishaps fic (LMAO).

texting (with a capital S) by parenthetic (renaissance) (M) 2.1k // okay I just wanted to say that the accuracy in the math stuff being mentioned makes me feel like this writer was in calc ab or something and that’s trauma right there. Anyways, it’s a texting fic kinda sorta getting together kinda sorta not? Idk how to explain it, but it was funny and then smut LMFOAJIAHFSJS (the derail was just like IwaOi in gay chicken, someone call the police LMFAO).

nebulas by tothemoon (T) 10.8k // I like the casualness of it. Like the confession was just so casual (smooth Mattsun) and like the progression was GOOD. Like, it’s a very poetic fic and there’s lots of thinking of deeper meaning, but its still got some comedy sprinkled throughout. I really loved the flow of it!!!!

my heart beats for contract law by orphan_account (T) 4.4k // I too would have a breakdown over school (me pretending like I haven’t already done that ahaha), but I really love so many things about this fic! Everything was just so ajsdfljdsn and I really love the 3 part plan Mattsun comes up with :DDDD (esp pt 3). Also, to propose while having an emotional breakdown at 3am in a McDonalds drive through. A mf dream.

Reflex by hiuythn (T) 2.3k // PLEASE IF THEY DIDN’T MEET AT HS THIS WOULD BE CANON ASF. You cannot tell me you don’t think this would not be cannon asf. They would meet like this. Also poor Teuchi stuck in the middle of all of this. I haven’t watched naruto, but it doesn’t really matter. What matters is random emotional sexual bonding over something. That is important. (THE ENDING AJKFHKJ)

You're in Pink (and I'm in blue) by Hyeyu (T) 4.4k // whooooo Hanahaki whooo anyway, despite how it seems, I like the hanahaki trope. I don’t fully understand it sometimes (most of the time tbh), but it adds some nice angst and desperate confessions, and I do appreciate those :D Honestly, I really liked the way this fic panned out, and I felt really bad for Iwa LOL.

stranger things by tinypersonhotel (G) 10.2k // I really like this one :D:D:D I love Makki + Oikawa friendship and they’re really the best to each other :’) The ending was satisfying, and the PLOT omg. It was SO good. I feel like I say this a lot though LOL, but I’m just really into fics with good plot progression (or else I don’t read them OOPS).

something of a disaster by latenights (T) 1.4k // chaos ahahhaha. Another crack fic? I hope no one is surprised LOL. It’s just a really short and simple, cute getting together fic with a LOT of insults LOL. I love this one in particular, “Tooru’s dinner special”.

snakes, meth labs and something like love by orphan_account (G) 3.6k // THE ROOMMATE AD PLEASE. I honestly would never think Oikawa would get a snake, but that doesn’t matter LOL. This was me indulging myself in the makki IwaOi best friends and mattsun stranger agenda but it’s a great agenda okay? It’s a good fic and there’s a microwaved fish :D

Lemonade by carriecmoney (T) 4.1k // okay once again, responsible drinking and don’t drink underage bad idea smh. But MatsuHana just making out where they want? I could see that. Yeah. Anyway, as much as public make out seshes make me *gag* feel embarrassed, what made me feel more *gag* embarrassed was the fact that the girls? just? stood? there? Like why are you watching this. Is that just me? I feel like they should’ve left smh.

surprise, surprise by airblends (T) 7.6k // some more pining and dancing around the issue whoooo. As much as I hate them not getting to the point (almost as much as I hate misunderstandings), it was a great fic. This is nosebleed c*ck block (idk if I needed to censor that but I did fight me).

A God for Every Season by timkons (T) 18.4k // I love the Hades and Persephone trope! Okay, I just love mythology leave me be, but anyway I really love a lot of this fic. Like how Mattsun thinks it’s a little brighter with Makki? CUTE I LOVE. But also, the fish funeral is ridiculous but also very on brand for Oikawa. And some BokuKuroo (idk is that their ship) in here as well :DDD

The Best/Worst Places to Cry in the City by AngryKitten (T) 4.4k // literally it is the title. Just you know, looking for the best place to cry in the city,,,, I’d like to say, don’t cat call people cause we’re not about that here. Even if it worked out for them, just don’t do it :/ Also don’t follow strangers. I feel like that’s a given but jic ya know?

this isn't exactly how i thought i'd be spending my adult years by jadedpearl (NR) 7.5k // okay petty Makki is yes and so is my Makki + IwaOi agenda LOL. (I’m thriving here can’t you tell? Yes regular skype/phone calls constantly) Anyway, blackouts and sickness really be here getting people together. (I’m asking nicely, nike.) And Makki is smooth with his words. (SHORTER MEN MADE ME LAUGH)

FINALLY I MADE IT. You don’t know how many times I almost gave up on finishing LMFAO. Is this my longest list? Idk. But I just know that I would’ve finished faster if I didn’t end up rereading almost every fic on this list LMFAO. Like no seriously I almost had to make a post saying this wouldn’t be coming out cause I got distracted by one of the longer fics (I’m blaming Mirror Flower, Water Moon specifically). my main priorities right now are honestly making sure i get enough water, i get enough sleep on a fairly regular schedule, and i do voice practice every day. which is the right amount of structure for me right now, although i might need to give myself more tasks to do in the future so i don’t get lethargic

Your favourite age state: Oh man. They’re so precious when they’re in the toddler stage. Just want to pinch their cheeks. But I’m such a huge romantic, so my fave fave is YA. I like playing them when they’re older and ready to take on the world. Find their love. Etc.

Your favourite season: So... my favorite worlds don’t tend to change with the season... But... Summer and Winter, I think. At least I find these seasons the prettiest to take screenies in.

Your favourite holiday: Ummm... Winterfest? I haven’t played a true holiday in a while.

How was your day: My day has been really good. Putting things in motion for my BC. Getting ready for my anniversary tomorrow. So, been very nice.

Your favourite career: I like the active and stay at home careers (though I haven’t played them all yet.) I do tend to gravitate towards the more creative ones like writing or painting.

Your favourite aspiration: Hmmm... I don’t know. Tend to do the knowledge and creative ones.

How old is your simblr: Funny enough, it just passed up it’s year anniversary on Feb. 4th.

Have you woohooed: I’m a stay at home mom of two. I’ll let you decide.

Your favourite skill: These questions are tough. Not really but... Gameplay wise, cooking is always fun to watch. And dancing, as terrible as it is.

Your interests (other than sims): I love to read. Been playing a lot of Stardew. I’ve played World of Warcraft in the past, but it’s been a while since I’ve logged in.

which sims games you have played (including mobile games): I started way back in Sims 1. Played 2 and 3. Played the offshoots like Castaway and Medieval. I know I played it on a console but can’t remember which one.  

Propose a crazy scheme: Uuuuuhhhhhh... I don’t deal well with pressure.... I can’t think. Brain shutting down...

Best part of simblr: The people I have met, hands down. I admit to being a bit of a hermit, and I have met some amazing people through simblr, some that I consider my very dear friends and can’t imagine not talking to them daily now.  

Worst part of simblr: I think it’s something we all agree on: the hateful message. Be it on anon or not.

What other games you play: I mentioned it up there, but mostly Stardew Valley. Occasionally Diablo 3. And maybe one day I’ll play WoW again.

Fic Writer Meme

I’ve been tagged by everyone and that legit Made My Day.  ( @wherehefoundtheporcupine @eau1636 @petersjakes and probably others but I can’t keep track)

Fandoms: Endeavour is the only one I’m active in. I tend to hyperfocus on a topic. I’m also a good bit insecure and shy, and I like the comforting small-ness of this fandom. I’m mildly afraid of getting involved in any larger fandoms. 

Number of Fics: I have 61 works posted on AO3,  24 of those are Endeavour fics, 1 is an original story that I need to get back to work on, and the rest are all original poems.

Fic I spent the most time on: As far as published fic, I’ve been working on Stitches/Here Comes the Sun the longest , mostly because I stalled out on Here Comes the Sun. I think I’ve put the most amount of effort into was Can’t Fight This Feeling Anymore because I’m terrified of getting Max DeBryn wrong.

Fic I spent the least time on: Honestly, my first one Treat You Better. It’s my first published fic, and honestly I didn’t expect it to a) be any good b) be received well at all or c) end up that long. I kinda just threw stuff together and didn’t edit much at all.

Longest fic: Rusty Cage which is written in @hekate1308‘s magical realism universe. I honestly have no idea how that fic is over 60k. Like. That boggles my mind? It doesn’t feel like I’ve written that much? And I have no clue how long it will end up, because I have at least 2 more consecutive chapters planned, plus a lil twist and then there’s whatever comes in between.

Shortest fic: LOL I forgot about Bite Me which is a ridiculous lil follow up to some Vampire Morse stories by @lieutenantmalcolmreed It’s literally the only fic of mine under 1k words. O.O

Most hits: I just checked and almost choked. Treat You Better with 2359 hits?!? What?!? What the heck?!? How did this happen!?!? It is my oldest fic but it’s only like a year old and this is a baby fandom and and and w h a t?

Most kudos: Treat You Better again, with 109 kudos. O.O

Total Word Count: 273,290 excuse me?! My initial thought is “oh but a lot of that is poetry”---b u t if we subtract off the poetry and the original fic, I’m at 258,876 words. What in the everloving heck? I’ve been on AO3 for just over a year...what am I doing?

Favourite Fic I Wrote: ohhhhhhhh uhm. Dangit. This is hard. Of published, probably The Waiting Game. I enjoyed playing with Thursday’s fear and horror and Morse coming to accept his help.  I have to say, though, I’m partial to my original fic, Redneck Haunt Club because I’m in love with my OC’s. 

Fic You Want To Rewrite/Expand On: At some point, I would like to go back and “fix up” Treat You Better, and some of my earlier Shameless series stories. I want to wait until I’ve got the beginning of the series down better, and then fix any character inconsistencies and polish up my writing. 

Share a Bit of a WIP or story idea you are planning on: I have so many WIPS. SO. MANY. While my mental health was poor earlier this year, I couldn’t stay focused, so I have like...so many half done WIPS. Anyhow...ummm...

You know what? Ima go for broke. So I have this Morseverse story that pre-dates all my other stories. I set it on the back burner for quite a while, but I hope to finish it someday. It’s sort-of a casefic, following a series of murdered policemen, with bits of other cases filtered in. It features a heck ton of Morse whump and worry. The main ���plot” focus is on Morse and his relationship with...an original female character *gasp*.

Yeah I know. I’m terrified to put the story out there, but I love Adelaide Eckles so much guys. She’s essentially a “reader insert” except shes so much cooler than me. When I first started writing fic again, I hadn’t found a Morseverse ship that I liked a ton, and I wanted a female character that I could identify with. Not that I dislike any of the women in the Morseverse, but none of them suited me. So Adelaide (or Delle, as she likes to be called) was born.

Delle is a spunky woman who takes no shit from anyone. My biggest fear about introducing her to y’all is that she’s...well, look. I’m a science teacher and I wanted to give Delle an active part in the workings of the Cowley Station boys. So I kinda...bent the rules and made her...*ahem* a female pathologist. Please don’t hate me. She’s not meant to replace Max--she and Max actually have a really cool working relationship/friendship together. I just...needed a place for my spirit.

Anyhow, the main idea or “plot” of the story is that Delle has struggled with depression (among other things) and as such, is able to recognize the depression that’s eating away at Morse (a headcanon of mine) and helps him to understand himself. And yeah, they fall in love because why not.

Please don’t hate me.

Anyhow. I felt like sharing that. I’m hoping to start working on Delle’s story sometime and release it into the wild. And maybe someone will read it just for the heck of it--I know OC’s aren’t everyone’s cup of tea but I’ve put too much time into Delle to back out. 

I should...stop talking now. Is anyone surprised that I can’t write short things? I can’t even answer a meme concisely. *sigh*

01) favorite game of the series? inquisition!! i like the open-world-ish feel even though each region has its own map. i like that it’s just bigger than the other games over all. it still sticks close to all the main quests, etc. but there’s a sense of vastness and exploration that you don’t really feel in the first two games.

02) how did you discover Dragon Age? so about three years ago, my boss when i was working at MIT gave me his xbox 360 when he got an xbox one. it had a bunchhhh of games already on it but i stuck to skyrim (and then later busier myself by buying oblivion and kotor). cut to this past spring (2018). my best friend and i were lurking around toys r us getting blowout clearance game deals and i saw da2 for $5 and i was like “hm, i think the first game of this series is on my xbox already...?” so i bought it and then started playing dao then!

03) how many times you’ve played the games? once each (i mean, i started this spring lol). i’m currently in my first dai playthrough.

04) favorite race to play as? human! i just love the concept that people just like me with no powers or special anything can do something really awesome.

05) favorite class? rogue.

06) do you play through the games differently or do you make the same decisions each time? well, i’ve only played each once. but for most of dao and some of da2, i didn’t really know what i was doing (especially with companion approval) so i would do some things differently with that. for example, i didn’t have high enough approval with zevran, so he betrayed me and i had to kill him. canonically this would never happen with emilia, so i would change that. the same thing happened with isabela, who is canonically aurelia’s best friend and wouldn’t leave her. so i’d change that in another playthrough so she would stay.

07) go-to adventuring group? dao: alistair, leliana, wynne (daa: anders, nathaniel, justice). da2: fenris, varric, anders. dai: cassandra, sera, dorian.

08) which of your characters did you put the most thought into? ellinor!! because like i said, with the first two games, i kind of didn’t know what i was doing and i crafter emilia and aurelia’s personalities and backstories mid- and post-playthrough. but i was waiting to play dai until i got my xbox one, so i had a lot of time to think about who i wanted ellinor to be before i started. i even started writing her fic before i started playing the game lol.

09) favorite romance? cullen, overall! but for dao it’s alistair and for da2 it’s fenris.

10) have you read any of the comics/books? no. but i just bought the world of thedas volume 2 a couple weeks ago, so i’m going to start reading that soon (i’ve mostly skimmed so far).

11) if you read them, which was your favorite book? (see above)

12) favorite DLCs? i actually haven’t played any!! while playing the first two games, i was living in this awful temporary apartment with wifi so shitty it couldn’t support the xbox live microsoft store, so i couldn’t even download them. i have all the DLCs for dai, but i’ve been focusing on the base game so far and haven’t delved into them too much. i will soon though!!

13) things that annoy you. the repeating dungeon maps for da2.

14) Orlais or Ferelden? ferelden!! orlais is gorgeous but ferelden reminds me of skyrim and skyrim was my first game love soooooo

15) templars or mages? all my OCs have, when the games pit one against the other, sided with the mages. but i personally believe that the chantry’s system is awful to both groups and that if i could help both with their own respective problems, i would.

16) if you have multiple characters, are they in different/parallel universes or in the same one? i sadly only have the time and emotional capacity for one OC per game, so as a result, they all exist in the same universe!! aurelia and ellinor will meet down the road in AWA, and i once wrote a ficlet where emilia slides by haven really sneakily to say hi to leliana before continuing her search for the cure. she may meet ellinor after the events of dai but i haven’t written this out yet.

17) what did you name your pets? (mabari, summoned animals, mounts, etc) this is clearly the most important question. emilia’s mabari is fletcher and her horse is prince, aurelia’s mabari is shadow, and ellinor’s childhood horse was whinny and her inquisition horse is fleet. i haven’t named her and cullen’s future mabari yet.

18) have you installed any mods? nope! playing on console rip me.

19) did your Warden want to become a Grey Warden? i think she would have welcomed the idea anyway, but seeing her parents did in front of her and being presented with an opportunity she could use to eventually get revenge on howe was not something she could pass up for sure.

20) hawke’s personality? red/purple! aurelia’s a fiery hot mess.

21) did you make matching armor for your companions in Inquisition? so, the only character i craft armor for is ellinor (sera gets her custom hand-me-downs tho) but i always tint the armor so the squad matches. they just look so good in red and black i can’t help it

22) if your character(s) could go back in time to change one thing, what would they change? i think emilia would try not to be so harsh around alistair initially. aurelia wouldn’t have left bethany behind when she went to the deep roads (although she wouldn’t know that the consequence would potentially be worse). ellinor would focus harder on destroying the red templars sooner.

23) do you have any headcanons about your character(s) that go against canon? ummm not really any big ones, i don’t think? except kind of all my stuff having to do with ellinor’s siblings.

24) are any of your character(s) based on someone? they’re all a bit based on me!! although ellinor is the most. aurelia’s a bit like me when i was a teenager and i think emilia has a lot of qualities i aspire to have.

25) who did you leave in the Fade? stroud. bye boiiiiiiiiiiiii (ok i actually got really sad leaving him even though i didn’t know him well as a character)

26) favorite mount? the amaranthine charger!! mostly because i hc that cullen bought it for ellinor as a gift after she told him stories of whinny and how beautiful and midnight black and fierce she was.

Character Creation Tag

Woot, so I was tagged by the incredibly creative and lovely @honiewrites. It’s taken me a while, but I’ve finally sat down and done it :) I’m using this Character Creation post to tell you all about Edana and Cait, two kick-ass women in my wip Stillcity.

1) What was the first element of your OC that you remember considering (name, appearance, backstory, etc.?)

Edana - Her appearance was probably first, intertwined with her relationships as Dorrell’s sister and Ciaran’s aunt. As a redhead myself I may have made her a kind of self-insert at first, but she’s actually much cooler than I’ll ever be.

Cait - Cait was interesting as she started out as a mention in another character’s backstory, but then the main story demanded that she get a larger role and she may yet take over Book Two. Cait’s own backstory was the first thing I knew of her.

2) Did you design them with any other characters/OCs from their universe in mind?

Edana is Dorrell’s sister and they are very similar, both in personality and appearance. I also came up with parts of Edana that I thought would work well with her nephew Ciaran’s personality.

Cait started as a childhood friend of Torin’s, so she had to be someone he would get along with. She is also quite similar to Ciaran for reasons that I still need to properly flesh out.

3) How did you choose their name?

Edana’s name follows my decision to use Celtic/Gaelic inspired names and means ‘fire’. It fits with her red hair and her fiery temper/character.

Cait’s name was originally inspired by an amazing woman I knew called Ceit (pronounced Kate). I didn’t know until a while after naming her that it means ‘pure’.

4) In developing their backstory, what elements of the world they live in played the most influential parts?

Edana - She has lived all her life in the Middle Tier of Stillcity, so she is very work and home focused. Due to issues beyond her control she has had to put her own wants aside for most of her life and so, even though she would love to, she has only been out into the Undulating Lands a couple of times. Something key that has shaped Edana’s backstory is the role of women in Ryxian society. Although she would probably make a kick-ass soldier thanks to her brother teaching her how to use a sword and bow, the Royal Guard is for men only.

Cait grew up in the Slums, the lowest tier of Stillcity, and had to fight to survive from a very young age. There are dangers in the Slums that don’t exist elsewhere in Stillcity and surviving these dangers shaped Cait into someone very tough and able to take care of herself and others. Also, when she was young Cait was fascinated by stories of the Mother of Many Faces (another name for the Undulating Lands), which she learned by heart during the minimal schooling that was available in the Slums. This led to her wish to become a Lorekeeper and learn all about the mysterious world beyond the walls of Stillcity.

5) Is there any significance behind their hair colour?

Edana - Yes. As I said, I too am a redhead, and she has the same color hair as her brother.

Cait - I’m not really sure. Cait has black hair, just because.

6) Is there any significance behind their eye colour?

Edana has blue-grey eyes, again similar to Dorrell. And me lol.

Cait has brown eyes, but again I’m not sure why. I think I need to think about Cait a bit more.

7) Is there any significance behind their height?

Edana is tall because I wanted to give her some presence and because I wish I was taller. Damn this self-insert.

Cait is pretty short because I wanted her to be a tiny, feisty firecracker. And she is.

8) What (if anything) do you relate to within their character/story?

I relate to Edana’s wish to change her life and do something that she enjoys and is good at. Rather than just something she is good at. I also relate to her struggles to be seen as equal to men in arenas commonly (and/or formerly) reserved for men only.

I relate to Cait’s obsession with knowing more about the world and understanding why things are the way they are. She also got teased as a child about her height and tries to make up for it by being energetic and larger than life in other ways.

9) Are they based off of you, in some way?

Hehe I think they both are in slightly different ways. But I think most of my characters have different parts of me in them.

10) Did you know what the OC’s sexuality would be at the time of their creation?

Yes. Both Edana and Cait are straight.

11) What have you found to be most difficult about creating art for your OC (any form of art: Writing, drawing, edits, etc.)?

Argh, I hate that I can’t draw my OCs. I do paint and draw, but not people. I’m tempted to learn to draw people just so I can create rudimentary images of the characters that seem so real to me.

12) How far past the canon events that take place in their world have you extended their story, if at all?

I haven’t finished planning out canon, so I can’t really answer that. I do have lots of backstory for them both though, so technically their stories go back beyond the current canon...? Lol does that even make sense, or does that just make it canon?

13) If you had to narrow it down to 2 things that you MUST keep in mind while working with your OC, what would those things be?

Edana could very easily be a Mary-Sue. I think I’m avoiding it (might need a beta/editor to tell me though). Additionally, in my rewrite I need to flesh Edana out a little more in regards to the society she lives in and the attitudes of the people she has to deal with.

Cait probably needs a revisit to make sure she isn’t Mary-Sueing everywhere. She is pretty awesome. Also I need to remember her struggles in the past and how they might affect her in the now.

14) What is something about your OC that can make you laugh?

Edana is pretty damn sarcastic. She always notices when people are getting a bit full of themselves and likes to bring them back to reality.

Cait is just a cheeky smartass and gets some great lines because of it.

15) What is something about your OC can make you cry?

Edana’s issues as a woman in a mostly man’s world gets me a bit emotional. It’s affected her life in a big way, not positively.

Cait is so empathetic, something I can identify with. When other characters are getting beaten up (by me) she hurts with them.

16) Is there some element you regret adding to your OC or their story?

Nah, but I will be doing more fleshing out so I obviously regret not adding stuff.

17) What is the most recent thing you’ve discovered about your OC?

Edana was one of the first characters I created, so I’ve known most things about her for a long time now. Ummm, it was probably that I need to add in some events to connect her with the societal norms/prejudices and how they impact on her in the future.

I recently discovered that Cait has peripheral connections to the Stillcity underworld. Being from the Slums she was exposed to it early, and I realized recently that this is something she’s held onto because she is of the mind that you use every resource at your disposal.

18) What is your favourite fact about your OC?

I love that Edana is a brilliant archer. (Just a note, I came up with her before the movie Brave came out. She seems pretty similar to Merida, but that is coincidental.)

Cait is eternally intrigued by the world around her and is a fount of interesting information. She also became a Lorekeeper through sheer determination and force of will, something that not many women, let alone women from the Slums, manage.

Please don’t make me think about embarrassing things. I can’t think of what is the MOST embarrassing thing I’ve ever done over my whole life because I probably blocked those memories out but in more recent times (like a few months ago or something) I went to Dunkin Donuts and I wanted chocolate frosted donuts but they had none and so I panicked and I just stood there saying “Um… um… um” out loud to this poor cashier dude who was offering suggestions that I kept turning down until I decided to just get a plain glazed donut. When telling this story to my friends I told them that I basically broke lol. It was pretty embarrassing though and the Dunkin Donuts I went to was in the mall and sometimes when I walk past I see the cashier guy and I’m like I can never go in there at least not when that dude is working lol

I think i answered this before, but a few of my friends and family members know i have Tumblr and that i’m obsessed with CtM but they don’t really know the extent of it

i don’t really fangirl with people who i’m not comfortable with or i know wont judge me so i don’t get embarrassed much, i guess when i first told my friend about my Tumblr and a lot of things i do i was slightly embarrassed.

hahaha ummm, unppopular opinion and don’t come at me with stakes, but i dont care much for when Tim says mushy stuff all the time, but it’s other people’s writing and they can right what they like and i’ll still enjoy it.

4. What are some prompts/ideas you might want explored more in fanfic? (asking this one for some ideas, hope that’s okay!)

i’ve always wanted to read something from Angela’s perspective, that would be interesting even though i know she’s still young

Its from one of the best episodes, 6x08, when Shelagh is in labor and says i could eat a pink wafer...and then eats it and its such a perfect scene

Like an old friend of Shelagh’s visits and he’s young and good looking and Pat is a bit jealous. That would be great

I just told you my real name. I don’t have any other names....or I don’t think I do. *scratches head*

No idea but I guess it’s something between my family....if I can remember them. But again, it’s possible.

Single. I don’t really see why interviewers like you ask these weird questions.

5. What are your powers and abilities? (Mutant Verse)

I can use magic of fire, water, light and darkness. Ummm, I have the power to heal, absorb, making elixirs, and can fight using my faithful weapons Opposite hearts. I am also able to sense heartless and other bad guys near by but.....it’s due to some other reason.

6. What colour are your eyes?

Gunpowder blue. The same color as my mama’s eyes as from what I found out in this old journal I had with me.

7. Have you ever dyed your hair?

Never. No one messes with my hair besides me and close friends I trust. You touch it, you die. *Pouts*

I think I do? I don’t really remember them if I had any. All I do remember is that end up in Radiant gardens. Though, the only memory I know is that I came from a old world somewhere where I had my family still living....or as least I know that much.

No pets I’m afraid but I always wanted one. That explains me loving them so much....their just precious babies. <3

10. Tell me about something you don’t like.

Their could be a few things I don’t like but the main one is this weird pain I get in my chest. At times, I swear I hear not one hearbeat but two of them in my chest. It’s sorta scary and I’m not sure why. I also don’t like secrets being kept from me. Second is me having a second heart inside of me. I don’t know much about it but something tells me it’s not a nice thing to have. Sorta scary to be honest.

11. Do you have any hobbies or activities you do in your spare time?

I do a few things like making flower crowns and even taking walks. They really help clear my head from things that distract me. Even the same in my day dreams.

12. Have you ever hurt anyone before?

I don’t think I have...I don’t want to hurt anyone. When I feel the pain in my chest happen, I try to keep away from others till it passes. So no, I don’t think i have...or I’m hoping I didn’t. Unless this second heartless heart of mine is trying to......no. I’ve said too much.

....N..No, no I have not. I would never kill anyone. Even if someone forced me or took control of my mind I.......*grips wrist tightly looking down* These questions are getting uncomfortable now. Can we move on to the next one please?

I don’t know? Hard to say for someone like me so I guess I could be a jumpy startled cat maybe?

I guess that would be twisting my hair when I’m super nervous or afraid about something,  studdering, biting my fingers and nails, scathing myself.

Well, their is one I look up to and it’s the Woman of light. Ever since I was a younger child, I always looked up to her because she always spreads her protecting glow around the worlds. She helps me during my scary times or..whenever I feel afraid of something.

I was home schooled but not as much now so it’s no big deal. I’m still pretty smart and stuff.

Me? Getting married and having kids? I don’t know...I haven’t found any one that feels that way about me but It would be nice to have a family and someone that likes likes me. Though...that’s just the future that I don’t know about yet....I’ll just have to wait and see.

No and I don’t think I want any. I heard fans are sorta creepy and weird. Unless the fans are friendly and nice, I would consider them my friends or allies. So.....so-so I guess?

The second heart that’s inside of me. I never would have thought I was born or had a heartless heart that attracts heartless near me so it’s really freaky. Sometimes, I can almost hear them speaking to me to help them....I’m scared of losing to the darkness because it makes me wonder if my family fell to it when I was little. Could explain why my memory is messed up or me getting headaches whenever I try remembering.

22. What do you usually wear?

Ummm, I wear brown knee high pants or leggings, some flat shoes, a shirt with one sash on it. Most times I have three bracelets on my left wrist but my hair is always up in a pony tail.

If you mean my friends, then I love them of course. For me though, I don’t have feelings for anyone yet. I don’t think others would like me that way.

I have Savanna, some hidden figure person that follows me. I don’t know if their friendly or not but they haven’t tried attacking me of any sort. Their are some enemies I do not want to speak about because their jerks. Savana who I met when coming to Radiant gardens and Aiko. I did meet a few others but I haven’t heard from them since they travel a lot too. Hope their doing alright.

what is your otp for your character?:  I don’t really have one for Dante. Lately he hasn’t even been hanging around people appropriate for him to ship with. His main companions are Ms. Marvel and Moon Girl, and both are way too young. I think Dante/Grid has potential, but I don’t have an actual OTP

what are you willing to write when it comes to shipping?:  A lot of things, honestly. Though I find writing sex in Tumblr format kind of boring and would just prefer to fade to black nine times out of ten. As far as themes go, though, I dunno. Hit me with it and if I’m not into it, I’ll say something.

how large does the age gap have to be to make it uncomfortable?: Honestly, this is one of those things where I know it if I see it. I think a lot of it for me depends on the characters and the dynamic involved, so my limit would be different for each pairing.

are you selective when shipping?: Not usually. Sometimes I’m just not feeling it but overall, I’m pretty open to most ships. I’d just like either a bit of build up/interaction or some OOC plotting before we’re just all like “lol our muses are boning”

Ummm probably @hwangminyeo! @emperorhwangs Rui without a doubt is one of the funniest people here on Tumblr!! @2hyeons Ying is more of an older sister type than the mom but she still gives off that caring vibe. She seems like the kind of sibling who barely talks to you because she’s stuck in her room all day doing work but she’ll also be there for you when you need it the most. Lowkey the kind of older sister who will call your cheating significant other over the phone just to scream at them and rat them out for hurting her little sibling loool. She’s more of an older sibling because while she takes care of you, she makes you want to take care of her too and cook her meals and check up on her once in a while to make sure she’s still sane c’:

the extremely under appreciated one

ummm @kiminguy??? @guanlliver??? @lovebugi??? @wanhyun??? (Mutuals on here and our SVT blogs squad!! LOOL) I love all of them and their graphics to death I will literally make a blog and reblog all of their creations 50 million times like they deserve. Of course they all have such cute personalities dlkgjfdkj but I’ll spare you from my rambling and focus on their beautiful works~ Naomi has such soft, pastel graphics (pastels are one of my fave things in the universe) and she was one of my first favorite graphic makers in the Seventeen fandom back in the day. I followed her first and then when she followed me back I was SOOOO HAPPY OMG BC ONE OF MY FAVES NOTICED ME. Next we have Yasmin and although we haven’t talked much I really adore her graphics because they’re really unique! She uses vibrant colors and dark colors so well (a thing I’d like to learn how to do hehehe) AND also pastel graphics with vibrant coloring… a jack of all trades tbh. Next, there’s Jaymee, who I’ve been mutuals with forever on our SVT blogs but I never really got a chance to talk to until recently! (And she’s the sweetest…my one and only fan….LOOOL). Once again she works with both dark colors and pastel colors very well! Her edits and graphics have a minimalistic approach to them which I admire so so much because I always cram stuff onto a canvas and get bothered when there’s empty space in my graphics. Last but not least there’s IMA!!! My self-proclaimed little sister c’: I’ve known her for most of her time in the Seventeen tumblr community and I love seeing how her works changed over this period of time. But her works always have that special charm and uniqueness that you know right away that it’s her work! No one could imitate her style and pull it off! Inimitable seventeen carat hehe Ima always has a special place in my heart. I love her coloring style, I love her graphics style, I love her. But yea as you can tell I have much love for graphic makers and more especially underrated graphic makers! Graphic makers are a blessing to each and every fandom. Thank you.

I was tagged by @afewhandshakesaway (thank you so much, by the way! :) ) ages ago in a quisetions thing, and it was still in my drafts when I checked a few minutes ago, so I supose I never actually did it?

I got some new followers recently since I started posting my drawings more and also it’s been a long time since I’ve posted anything with information about me, so I thought it might be interesting for someone, who might have kind of forgotten me or for anyone who has followed me recently? idk

Rules: Answer the following questions then tag 20 people (I’m not gonna tag anyone, because I don’t know who to tag and the people that come to mind have most likely done this already...) 

•How tall are you? 
I haven’t checked this in a long time, but about 160cm. Maybe a cm or two shorter? or 1cm taller? probably like 159cm. idk :D Relatively short. :) •What color and style is your hair? It is dark brown, curly (I’ve even given her a name - Flyufie, which comes from ‘fluffy’ of course) and it’s a little below shoulder length, but shorter than elbow length. I’m trying to grow it as long a possible currently, though. It grows very slowly, so there isn’t much of a danger of it getting too long anytime soon :D •What color are your eyes?

no •Do you wear braces? No and I never have. •What is your fashion sense? Hmmm. Well for pants I usually wear things that are more form fitting than baggy (I don’t like very baggy pants), I like dresses and skirts, though I only have a few and actually don’t wear them as much now that I think about it... Most of my clothes are either one colour or have just a bit of “decoration”, which is either in the form of a plaid shirt, a pattern of black birds in flight on this one gray sweater/blouse I have or this one rose filled skull on a red sweater/blouse I have (which interestingly I didn’t like at first and thought was waaaay out of my style but it’s one of my favourite clothes now. The nice red colour also has a lot to do with it though). Uuuumm. Idk how to explain my style. It’s nothing too flashy and it’s not especially girly I guess. To me it’s kind of cute, regular urban style. Most of my clothes are  blue, white, red, black or pink I’ve noticed.  •Do you have any siblings? Yes. I have an older sister, who is 5 years older than me. And I also have a half sister, who is over 10 years older than me and we’ve barely ever seen each other ever. So I usually don’t really count her much to be honest... •What kind of student are/were you? Currently, in universiy, my tuition is quite high, so I’m trying to get scholaships and that has a role in me trying very hard to have the best grades possible. so I’m not very ‘free’ to be the kind of student I feel like being... So for thins I will try to explain high school me.  I was a good student. Mostly had very good grades, though occasionally had some not as good times. I tried to take part in the classes I was interested in and most of what I learned, I learned it in class. I didn’t to my homework very strictly, but I still tried to mostly do it. When I was bored in class I would usually doodle and in the cases where I could get away with it - listen to music. Radiohead only, lol (Not even kidding. The only variety was either AMOK or The Eraser). I tried to be quiet if I was talking to my friend and if I wasn’t paying attention I made it so as not to bother anyone with my boredom. I really hated the people who would talk loudly and make it everyone’s business that they were bored. And who would act rude to the teachers. That’s not to say I didn’t have a couple of times when I wasn’t as quiet... Speaking of teachers, most seemed to like me and say I’m a good kid. My friend who had worse grades than me used to tell me I was smart and good at subjects, when actually most of the time I didn’t put too much effort into studying. So in my eyes I thought I was an average/good student, who tried to be on a good level, but since most of the people around me didn’t bother much, I ended up being one of the best in the class. And in a few subjects especially. English was one of the subjects I was best at, actually. And tumblr was one of my main ways to practice. Not that I set it as goal or anything, but it just ended up being this way, so I thought I should credit it :D •What are your favorite subjects? If I had to choose from the ones I had in high school, I would say english, biology and sometimes literature and physics. I got into art on my own. School didn’t do anything to make me interested in it. But I remember that this one time in music class the teacher played something on the piano, and that had an impact on me wanting to try it out myself. •What are your favorite tv shows? If you’re asking about shows I watch regularly, than the anwer is that I moslty watch anime. It had a big part in me deciding to pursue animation (and with that, art... though I wanted to draw since I was little. I just didn’t have anyone to teach me and I thought it was all “talent”), so yeah... But there are shows, which I would watch if I catch them on tv or something. I remember binge watching Doctor Who a few years ago and I liked it a lot, though I barely remember anything from it at this point. W.i.t.c.h. is an all time favourite of mine. Naruto is my anime bae, due to being the only thing I’ve watched for like 5-10 years and growing up with it (and also it’s just good. Despite the counltess fillers and some little flaws). I’m enjoying Boruto, too. Ummm... Avatar was also quite great. (both the series with Aang and with Korra). Mmmmyeah, I guess these will do. •Favorite books? 
I don’t know. I don’t remember tittles and authors and I haven’t read that much anyway... But the last one I read was Hotel by... aaahhh, it was this famous author, I’m sure google search would do the work, but this exactly what I meant by not remembering authors. But yeah, it was a good read. •Favorite pastimes? Walking around when the weather is good, drawing, watching anime or stuff on youtube. And if I’m at my boyfriend’s place, cuddling and talking about stuff. And laughing. Laughing is always great. •Any regrets? Not really. I like the person I am and I’ve gone through periods in which I’ve changed and gotten to know myself better and it all feels logical and right. For the longest time I used to regret not gathering up the courage to tell my first big crush (5 years. from 3rd grade to 7th. And a few years after, getting over him) that I liked him and asking him if he ever felt anything for me. I would regret not saying ‘fuck it’ and not care what people think of me, like myself more and not try to fit in so hard and just face him. But regretting that is pointles, and also it would be me blaming past me for not doing something she just wasn’t able to do. I had to go through all the stuff I’ve gone through to get to where I am, so I don’t think I regret anything. I guess I wish some things hadn’t happened, but oh well. I’m still curous what would have happened ‘if’, but I guess I’ll never know. •What is your dream job? Working for the animation studio of the people, whose course I’m currently taking. They are so nice and such cool people and I get hyped about animation when I’m there and they explain well and they’re still a very young studio (also the people there all seem to be quite young!) and they have this project for an animated series, which just looks SO. COOL. and I want it to be successful and I want the studio to be successful and just be part of it all and help and have some part in that success. And yeah. I still don’t know which position to aim for, but I know that’s the place I want to be at and those are the people I want to work with. And it actually seems like it could happen, so that’s really great. •Do you want to get married?
 Yes. Some day. In the future. Just thinking about it gives me anxiety, though. Mostly because of having to organize everything and having it be a super special day, that I’m scared there might be something to make it not as perfect... And other reasons. But yeah, in theory, yes. I like it as an idea I think. Though it still feels a bit weird. I guess I just feel too young for that. •Do you want to have kids and how many? Yes, two. •How many countries have you visited?
  I don’t know. Not countring my home country (Bulgaria) that would be Greece, Macedonia, Romania, Italy, France, Serbia... And a few more, but mostly just the Balkans. The furthest I’ve gone is France and I’ve only been in Paris for 6 days, so I don’t feel like I’ve seen much of the country at all. •What’s the scariest dream you’ve had?
 Hmmm... Well there was this one time I had a dream that I was in a cave and I was going out through a hole when suddenly the cave formed around me and I was stuck and couldn’t move at all, the rock was sooo hard. That was pretty scary, especially since I have claustrophobia. But also any dreams with snakes are hella scary for me. I’ve had a few where there were snakes everywhere and I had to try not to step on any but they were all over the place. That’s always really horryfying for me. •Do you have any enemies? 
I don’t think I do. I usually try to be nice to everyone and if someone doesn’t like me, I doubt they have a reason to hate me enough to be my enemy. •Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend? Yes. <3

M-5 alternation of G-4, they are fast on their feet and very loyal, though her cold behavior seems to make it difficult for them to work with s-7, they always ask me for their next assignment, and even when I give them supposedly impossible tasks, they finish it.

it was taking a second to load so she flipped to another window that was connected to the vat. it read "Tonic: IQ - null Base Stat - 750 Notes - fix the primal functions Intuition - low Obedience - high. " she glances at the vat "so tonic?" and then goes back to reading. she clicks on G-4 to know what kind of alternation they're talking about.

G-4 is very illusive, hard to catch, her injuries are severe, leading me to believe her hp is very low, hence her illusive behavior, high attack, high speed, low hp/ defense. More research is needed

The file was on shatter. S-7 is difficult to work with, her personality switches rapidly, her memory before our meeting is unknown, mainly because her 'soul stone' is cracked, which I assume causes this loss of memory, her abilities range greatly, giving her great potential, but she holds back greatly, further tests are required for more data

I-3 an artificial intelligence made of pure carbon atoms, she learns quickly, hopefully to be used against the humans if necessary. her ability to pick up on tiny details makes it hard for me to stay a step ahead of her, if something, anything is out of the ordinary, she finds it. I-3 refuses to sleep, she explains that when she does that everything becomes blank, though I see this as just her being unable to create a 'dream' stage.' the file had more than one page.

I-3 has learned how to change her form, she has been trying different ones to see my reaction, since she seems unable to comprehend emotions. She has so far used M-5's form as well as my own, though did not seem content with that, I will test to see how far she can change her form. The tests went well, and she seems content with her current form, a middle aged humanoid with wings, though her misunderstanding of anatomy has led to her form's spinal cord and rib cage. exposed, the blankness of the bones seems to bother her, since she has made her digits sharp to carve designs into the bone, the sound of her doing this is... unnerving

"hmm, that mean she's here healing? I'm not sure how vanta works if they have ink's body or not. if that's the caseee... " she trails off and looks back at shatter presumably still sleeping.

Shatter was still asleep.

the vat starts to steam bubbling violently until it nearly instantly starts to leave water droplets on the glass as if it's suddenly cold. chara turns to it and sees this and decides to mess with the panel by the vat. she finds a combination that opens the hatch at the top

she climbs up and looks down into the green tinted water. a pair of 'eyes' look back and chara smiles holding out a hand to help it out. a pair of clear teeth shoot out of the water to her hand. she moves fast enough to not be hurt. "that's not nice. do you want out or not mr./miss?"

they pop their head out chara getting a better look, it's a skeleton like monster, but the bones are clear as glass and have a plastic like covering over the eye holes, and torso. other than that it has no notable features

chara pokes at it's eye holes, the membrane covering it bouncing her finger away. the skeleton didn't seem to appreciate being poked in the eye as it leaped out of the vat and tackled chara to the floor. she couldn't keep in a yelp as she hit the floor and rocked a cabinet that was by her.

Shatter woke up to the sound of a fight, she went to see what was happening.

chara kicked and squirmed under the skeleton who was impressively heavy compared to chara. on closer inspection the skeleton isn't hollow it has a clear liquid filling it's whole body. chara growls and 'tonic' rips at her arm. tonic grabbed? the blood chara had on her arm. chara gets a good kick to it's stomach and gets it off her. she wide eyed looks at shatter kinda confused as to what just happened. tonic plays with the blood which rolls in their hands like pearls .

Shatter still seemed tired, but she healed Chara first, before going to 'tonic

chara just is like "?????" tonic's in the corner minding it's own business playing with the blood. it moves it's head towards shatter. "what?" it says

"So you can speak." Shatter said.

it just nods looking back at its toy

Shatter sighed. "Name, what is your name."

ZM

"gaster called me tonic" she looks over at the pile of dust. "is that him?"

"Yeah. But how come I haven't seen you before now?"

ZM

it absorbs the blood and makes her hand a bright red like a soul. it seems to please it as the rest of their body becomes the red as well. "i'm .. new? maybe?"

Shatter sighed, "don't hurt others, okay?"

ZM

"why not? and who're you then? killing dad and telling me not to 'hurt others? i'm confused"

ZM

they talk with precision but doesn't seem very smart in general. as if she was taught language but never really interacted with anything

"I didn't kill him," Shatter said,

"yeah?"

"Vantablack did." Shatter sat down,

ZM

"I do not know who that is." she looks like she doesn't care to know either. chara messing with the computer seeing that tonic is looking at her she glares in response and stands next to shatter.

Shatter sighed. "Look, I'm not your babysitter, so you can leave for all i care."

ZM

"this is my room, doesn't that mean you should leave?..." she states. "i mean you can stay but...?" she stands up all the way she's quite tall and has a tail with a spear tip. she goes up close to shatter looking at her face then trying to inspect her soul.

Tonic was unable to 'summon' shatter's soul, and her eyes would change colors rapidly but faintly, making them seem grey.

ZM

"huh. strange." she goes back into the frog position she was in before. tonic looks at shatter and cocks her head. "why are you unhappy?"

"I'm tired, and have a lot on my mind."

ZM

chara scoffs that turns into a laugh. she had enough of this skel so she goes to the potion shelves. tonic smile seems to grow a little "oh sleepy! i know what that feels like! I've fixed it before. should i fix you?" she says happily.

Shatter seemed confused by Tonic's statement, "What do you mean....fix?"

ZM

"Make you... not sleepy?" she wonders if she put that correctly and revises "so you can have more energy"

"I mean, I guess you can try."

ZM

"excellent." she hops over to chara who irritatedly moves out of her way. tonic gets a couple drops of a green potion and it goes into her body the green and red don't mix but they swirl around each other making her glow more than she was before.

she goes back to shatter, takes off her head and hands it to her upside down expecting her to drink the liquid. she smiles

"O-oh, well, ok then." Shatter said, her eyes and hair turning a dull purple before she drank.

as promised it invigorated shatter but it didn't help her mental state.

"Thanks." she said, giving Tonic back her head, Shatter's hair and eyes were still purple

she cups the hole to not let it all spill out and puts her head back on. "? your appearance changed?"

"Well, yeah, it does when I use one element more than the others." Shatter sighed.

ZM

displeased with the sigh at the end tonic stands up again and hugs her "I want to help people. I want you to feel better." noticing shatter didn't like that she lets go and looks up at her from the floor again. "Hey you? why's your friend sad?" she asks chara. "pffft why shouldn't she be sad hm? know what shatter i'm sick of this. ink may be in this place. i say we look for her."

Shatter seemed somewhat shocked by the hug. "Hold on a sec, Chara." She said, before looking at Tonic, her hair went back to grew, but her eyes switching blues and purples.

tonic blinks under her gaze seemingly getting embarrassed. "what is it?" she asks as chara says "also there are no fricken files on you. so i can't black mail you and that's absolutely disappointing." she shakes her head

"we're bringing Tonic with us." Shatter said. "And I burned the main files."

ZM

"excuse me. NO. i don't like that thing." she shivers "gives me the creeps." she as well doesn't seem pleased the files are gone forever.

"well, how about this, I'll show you where the main computer is if Tonic can tag along." Shatter said

ZM

she squints for a moment, "okay hell yes" she trots over to shatter so excited to snoop around. "but you better ditch it when we leave this au." tonic happily waves her tail gently side to side.

Shatter chuckled softly, getting up, "Come on then." She smiled, going down the hall

they both follow shatter chara on her left and tonic on her right. tonic hops along even though she's clearly make to walk but whatever she has her reason. chara scans the random monitors littering the walls for anything interesting before asking "where are we checking first?"

"the main computer, as promised." Shatter said, unlocking a door with a code.

"great~" she claps then rubs her hands together mischievously.

she puts her elbows on the desk waiting and then cheers when shatter gets in "thankss!" she shoves shatter away from the keyboard a little. "this desktop is a mess" she whistles.

"ooo~ tell me about the oh so mysterious stars gaster do tell!" she clicks on it quickly.

'Stars are a peculiar species, their souls are actually hard stone formations, which allows them to survive different kinds of attacks. I have classified them into 3 categories for easier reference, Pacifist, Neutral and Genocide. It appears that some abilities are common among most or even all stars, these include teleportation, the ability to make their eyes glow, transportation between timelines, and the capability to make high pitched chirps. Each star seems to be unique, no similar bullet patterns or style, truly fascinating. I will continue research.

"I didn't know you were a song bird shatter~ you gotta sing sometime" she teases. chara tries to find a file giving a valid reason for gaster to 'enhance' the stars. a reason that's not 'oh i gotta save the multiverse! cause i gotta'. chara was expecting something much more in depth

'Stars do show potential to be an unlimited power source, though they are hard to contain, which would explain as to why there is so little information on them, perhaps one can be modified so it can be contained, thus this could power the core then the entire underground.'

Shatter rolled her eyes to Chara's teasing before making chirps and clicks, much like a bird

"aww that's cute~" after reading the next part "hey shatterrrr" she calls without looking away from the screen. "did gaster like.. just keep you in a room sometimes? he seems to have thought you guys can make enough energy to power the underground with just one of you and that's another reason why he wanted you guys."

"well, yeah, but i soon figured out the codes." Shatter said.

The file continued; ‘Stars are so very diverse as I am quick to learn, some live in the cities with humans, others stay in dense forested areas. I was lucky enough to come across a damaged soulstone in waterfall, though it is cracked, I believe there is a way to repair it. It has turned to my attention that Stars can possibly be used for more than just a power source, some are fused or infused with human souls, meaning it can be a possibility to use them to break the barrier. I have gone through reports from the royal guard and have learned that sentries have reported some strange ‘monster’ in the snowdin forest, however their report may be describing a human or star, it is hard to tell the difference between these two species, though I have noticed that Stars tend to have some kind of markings on their skin, the purpose of these markings are unknown. I will make a log on the stone’s progress.

"mhm... you scare me sometimes you know? haha you're way strong and smart like geez." she wonders who the soulstone in waterfall was. it'd make sense if it was shatter...? maybe but it's only a crack. blood acted like shatter had a really messed up soulstone. she keeps reading

Log 1; I have been keeping the soulstone stable, and while I was attempting to use healing magic, the stone flashed a light grey color in response, it is peculiar, but I assume that the star to who this soul belongs is still very much alive. I have tried to check the stats on this star to learn that their attack is very high, as is their hp. Log 2; the stone seems to be recovering well, though the crack seems irreversible. The stone tends to shine and flash more often, perhaps it is an attempt at communication, the patterns that can be seen tend to point towards this being the case. Log 5: As I went to check the stone this morning, I was shocked to see a star instead. And… I can confirm that the star is female…. I gave her some extra clothing and she seemed just as eager to cover herself as I was to get her covered. I did notice however that her chest had large amounts of scaring, perhaps this is an effect of the crack in her soul stone. She does seem on edge, since she won’t let me get too close, nor will she allow any contact, perhaps she needs time.

Log 8: She has been adapting well, though she still doesn’t trust me. Her behavior is somewhat similar to that of felines, since she has a habit of hissing, and arching her back. I have noticed that her eyes and hair can change coloration, perhaps by controlling the density of pigmentation. Though this theory has to be tested. Her teeth, which I have seen while she hisses at me, are rather sharp, showing more of a predatory diet.

Log 29; S-7 has finally warmed up to the idea of my presence, though she still refuses to let me touch her, so samples will have to wait. I have heard rather high pitched chirp-like sounds while in the halls, the source is currently unknown, but I suspect S-7 to be the culprit. She will make her eyes glow, similar to how skeletons use their eyelights. Though I have learned that this behavior serves as a warning, for as I approached she did this before attacking me with some kind of blue flame. It did do a sizeable amount of damage, but I am fine. Though I will think twice if I see this behavior again.

chara continues and tonic starts to tap their fingers on the tile. she doesn't like how quiet it is now.

Log 36: As I was walking past the room where I have been keeping S-7 contained, she actually spoke, her words were, ‘It’s too cold here’, though it is a complaint, it is progress nonetheless. I have increased the temperature and tried to get her to talk some more, mainly by asking questions, but to no avail, she is extremely difficult, but I will be patient.

chara is amused by gaster's struggles, she also so hopes that shatter and any other stars stay this uncooperative. tonic glances at shatter with a shy smile on their face happy with the sounds. she curls up on the floor kinda like a cat and rests her eyes.

Shatter smiles at Tonic, the skeleton reminded her of something, something... happy.

Log 40: S-7 is finally talking with me, according to her, she is having difficulty recovering her memory, though she is aware of her name; Shatter. I had told her about how I found her, and she seemed shocked by this, it is plausible that she believes that she shouldn’t have survived. She had many questions for me, maybe more than I did for her. She wanted to know why I had helped her, where she was, what was the date, and other similar questions. She still will not let me touch her.

Log 47: I was finally able to convince ‘Shatter’ to let me have a blood sample, and my patience has been rewarded ten fold. After some tests, it seems that a Star’s blood can change the genetic coding in reaction to certain environments, which would allow them to survive in areas with little to no oxygen. Her white blood cells seemed also more aggressive, I assume this is because sickness or any form of weakness could result in death. My research was interrupted by S-7, who somehow had learned how to bypass the electronic locks. She seems to learn quickly. Log 48: Today, while discussing with S-7, she offered to try and introduce me to other Stars, since ‘I seemed so interested.’ of course I accepted, she then created some type of wormhole, and instructed me to follow *Error: rest of file not found*

chara lets out another sigh leaning back and folding her arms across her chest. "hm." seems what she wants she's not going to find here. she shoves the chair aside and thumbs through the files looking for anything that would tell her how to extract star energy, or how long they live, maybe the most dangerous one he's seen. doesn't seem like gaster has much files on anyone except music ink and shatter.

she rubs her temples while scanning a page that was some daily accounts of events.

she had found a file discussing an experiment that was made by a different Gaster, where he had forcefully combined a star's soulstone to a human's soul, The result was a star that could alter timelines to help in battle, but at the cost of stamina and hp. As for the most dangerous, the name 'Fatal Error' kept popping up

chara's eyes light up a bit after seeing you can force a star to merge with a human soul. chara gave no mind to the most dangerous as she assumed 'fatal error' meant the file was corrupted anyway. she chucks the files she's not into on the floor and pages scatter around one falling on tonic's head which she pulled off and examined for herself.

chara was looking for energy extraction or how to kill a star, she thinks she'll be satisfied with that info.

As for Chara's search, it lead to some data on a star could be damaged to only their soulstone, and then the stone used as an energy source, there was also two cases of Star's who absorbed human souls.

chara goes up to shatter. "hey, can you show your soulstone at will? or do you have to have your physical body destroyed or something for that to happen?"

"Why do you want me to show you?" Shatter asked

Tonic didn't like what she was reading, it made her upset as she sat up and ran a finger down the page

"no no no" she shakes her head. "you don't have to show me, i just want to know if it's possible. ya know?"

It mentioned several 'known outcodes' Fatal Error, Papercrane, Fresh, Chronicle, Core, Harvest and some others

"I could, but it would hurt like hell."

"huh, weird. no need to then. I was just curious." she kicks the papers out of her way and accepts that she and gaster had very different ideas of what's important when it comes to research. she wants power, gaster wants it in a different way. she's going to have to risk her own skin if she wants to satisfy her curiosity

"You know, there is one star, that actually is extremely strong, but not dangerous, maybe you'd like to meet her?" Shatter asked, patting Tonic's back

tonic is going to remember those names. tonic pushes the paper aside and snuggles against shatter's shoulder and looks towards chara. "yeah? do tell." chara says. "but i do what to search for ink before we leave this place just fyi"

"Ink? Well, she is extremely hard to find, mainly because she can 'hear' the creators, so she knows that we will be after her..." Shatter said. Tonic could hear a soft purr from Shatter's chest, a sign she was happy

"we ain't gonna hurt her! why does she think she needs ta run?!" she pouts. "and what'd you do when you told gaster you'd lead him to some stars? i'm sure it was you who deleted that info. but if i know it won't change a thing for you, and i wanna know. like really bad."

"Well, Ink has always been illusive by nature, so I don't think she cares." Shatter explained. "And with what happened, let's just say things didn't go as planed."

ZM

"that's not a good answer. i assume, and i assume because SOMEONE won't tell me, that you got some stars killed after leading gaster to them. then gaster used some of their shards and put them in you." she shrugs. "so yeah, if i don't get the truth i guess i'll just go with that." getting sick of tonic staring at her she glares back making tonic surprised but looks away nonetheless

Shatter looked away, "Your assumption, is correct." She said, before getting up. "Happy?" She asked before walking into the hall

ZM

"OMG WHAT YES~!!!!" she runs after her "WAIT WAIT! I'm sorry shatter, i'm sure it was traumatic. but not gonna lie i'm supper proud i was correct." ... she closes her mouth. "i'm sorry i didn't want to make you upset." tonic was surprised by all the sudden movement in the room that it took her a second to join them in the hall.

Shatter sighed, turning to Chara, "let's not talk about, okay?" She said. "Stars fight, for different reasons, but we do, and yes we do work together, and sometimes those groups will fight, and in the chaos....it's easy to loose someone." Shatter said.

ZM

chara gives a slow nod wondering if there was a specific someone that she lost but deciding not to ask. "okay." she stuffs her hands in her pockets.

"Did you read about the human and star fusions?" Shatter asked

ZM

she inhales wondering if she should tell her. "..yeees?"

she really didn't want shatter getting in the way of her plans

"well, I know where one of those fusions are, though she has absorbed six human souls, so she is more of an extreme example, want me to take you?"

ZM

"mmmmm sounds intimidating haha" her shoulders tense "i think that your first offer of a strong star that's not dangerous would be... better." it dawns on her that those might be the same star anyway. tonic doesn't seem to know what to do. she thinks about leaving them and exploring but she's grown a liking to shatter so she just sits a ways away.

Shatter looked at Tonic, before going to a room and getting an empty backpack, she put it on her back. "Tonic, can you fit in this?"

ZM

tonic smiles and goes to see if she could. it was a decently big backpack and she's rather skinny so indeed she could fit. chara looks at both of them "what happened to 'we're leaving this thing here?'" tonic's empty eye sockets look at her giving chara another shiver.

"I changed my mind." Shatter said, opening a portal, "You coming?"

ZM

tonic waves her head side to side making the liquid slosh around, she likes the sound. "uhg." chara stares at them. "i don't have many options here so yeah." she goes through the portal before the other two.
