All I saw what the art of the Blue Spirit (Dark Water Spirit?) from your blog (was it you who made it? its fucking fantastic) and Ive lost my mind. I wanna know all about your crincly blue dude. pls. they look amazing. i need to know more

hahah yes i drew the blue spirit based on the fan theory that koh stole his face. LINK

i know that like the only similarities are like the thicker eyebrows, tusk (although upside down) and a stronger nose and well.. that they are BLUE.

thank you for liking my crinkly version so much. i have some drawings planed for him but i can't like pick what he wears on a daily basis hahah (or nocturnal)

some short points about my version of him: (one day kuruk will get his own book and all of this is pointless but i don't care these are my headcanons and don't have to be true!)

He belongs to Tui and La's court. He is a water spirit, kind of the same rank as the painted lady, but not tied to one single river. If the Spirits of the Moon and Ocean give a command, he follows. (Not like the fish command much)

he is OLD! Which is why he is featured in the Love Among the Dragons and Earth Kingdom opera plays. (He is probably a gigantic romantic sap and can't help himself but play matchmaker) contrary to popular belive. No he can't turn spirits mortal, but he sure can kick their asses out the spirit world. And the dragon emperor deserved it! No clue what the empress saw in that guy)

if he was born a spirit or made a spirit is rather unclear because he regularly invents a new origin story for himself. "Oh i was a poor fisherman that caught a withe fish, and then the ocean roared and drowned me, because i accidentally caught the moon. And as an apology, they turned me immortal", "i was an earth bender that was born way too close to water", "My mom is a dragon, and my father is a water serpent. Yeah, I don't imagine how they did conceive me... " "you see that water whirlpool there? Thats where i jumped out of!"

he travels a lot. Dissolves into rivers to reform in another place in an instant. He has a big soft spot for humans, especially children. He lives for how creative they are in the way they play, turn the night into days, and danger into fun.

He is a bit up sad over being used as a tool to cause fear in kids to be careful around deep waters, though.

There is this uneasy feeling you get when looking into deep, dark waters. But it's not something evil. He is a warning that, as fun as water can get, there is danger in it.

i like to give him a bigger role with avatar Kuruk. During the time Kuruk distanced himself from his friends and kept on fighting on his own spirits, corrupting and deterioating his spirit and health. Blue popped up. Kuruk saw him first like all the other spririts only with time reluncantly accepting him as an ally.

Blue is on Kuruk's side when they try to retrieve Umi's face from Koh. He loses the fight and gets his face stolen in the process. Since then, the dark water spirits had existed in plays and occasionally as a cover for a fire nation prince to cause mischief.

he never got along with Koh. Their views on humans are different. Also blue usually being in the way of koh.

Okay, I have a new batshit crazy theory: The Ōoku in the movie is a metaphor for the womb.

Fair warning:

Here's my reasoning:*

Many of us seem to suspect that movie Medicine Seller is younger than the Medicine Seller we've previously seen. But the Medicine Seller also seems fairly inexperienced with humans in the beginning. If we're (metaphorically) moving back to an earlier stage of his development, we could be at a time before the Medicine Seller was "born" (metaphorically) into the human world.

The Ōoku is an enclosed space, a space for women. Its being dominated by the feminine and also isolated from the outside world makes it a perfect metaphor for the womb.

The Medicine Seller drinking water in the trailer is the first time we have ever seen him consume anything (unless you count pipe tobacco). The water could be a reference to the environment of the womb, where babies live in and swallow amniotic fluid.

This also fits as an extension of my other theory that the Medicine Seller is "born" (metaphorically) in Mononoke.

I LOVE the creative direction Taehyung keeps pursuing. When you have achieved the fame and success Tae has, there is that pressure to want/need more. But to take this moment and go the other way, to give yourself the grace & space (and accept the risk) to do create, produce, reflect something different. I'm sure there are no shortage of offers and opportunities but he is clearly being very intentional with how he steps out on his own. And to see how happy it makes him to be able to step out as his own artist and musician. Now a collab with a lesser known, LGBTQ, WOC artist?! Go on! He's so cool. This is going to be a long 18 months.

The way he keeps being so authentic and how he decided to collab with an artist that he has been admiring for some time is so endearing to me, he creates music because he breathes and lives music he loves it so much you can easily tell by the directions he took with Layover, with the snippets he created before and the one he shared.

It’s just so good to see, I hope he gets to collab with the other artists he admires too in the near future. And yeah, I still don’t know how I’m gonna handle these months without him.

How safe is Lady from Diesel 10 with Damien around?

She doesn’t have to worry about D10 anymore. After the events of TMR Damien stripped D10 of his godhood (stripping him of his gold dust essentially) and cursed him to be unable to harm another being ever again. Every time D10 would try to get violent it would be like he was being held back by chains. Damien also bound him to the Isle of Sodor so he could never leave.

Also after the events of TMR Lady doesn’t leave the Magic Railway often if at all. All of the gods don’t really leave the railway unless they have to. They usually send their helpers down to earth to do things for them.

but like more specifically. a modern day "incarnation" of satoko. another 34. another piece and/or part of lambda on a new gameboard. you could interpret her as being the same as lambda/satoko in essence but a new "identity" in another world, or if you don't view lambda/satoko as the same, a new piece of lambda's that's kind of been "recycled" from satoko's.

daily reminder that i have not read umineko so i don't know what the FUCK i am talking about but these are the general vibes... i'm not sure though, because this would be extremely self-indulgent. and i'm not sure if i should count this "character" as an oc or a au version of satoko?? i feel like the concept is kind of on the borderline??
