In this scene at the end of Half, Kazui (unmasked) sees the apple shattered to pieces and decides to put back on the mask.

Or, in other words, Kazui (being his true self) sees the damage telling the truth has done to his wife, and decides it is better to lie and puts back on the (metaphorical) mask.

If Kazui gets voted guilty, he is probably gonna put back on the mask. He is most likely going to see that something he now trusts (because he WANTS milgram to discover what his sin is) has deciphered that whatever his sin is is unforgiveable, and will take that as telling the truth once again hurting someone. He is just going lie and put on his persona which won't help us or him in the 3rd Trial.

Hiya! I've only just started watching Chinese dramas and the drama behind the drama is already blowing my Western mind. Thanks for your meta btw! I was thinking about what you said about Chinese government not explicitly banning anything, rather people had BETTER catch on to what they mean 😨 Is it possible that delaying OOL is their way of warning future productions to think twice before involving Xiao Zhan, because they want to undermine his popularity? As he is 'too entertaining' 💀

Hiya Anon!! The decision to air a c-drama lies in both the government and the platforms. Once the drama gets the distribution permit from the National Radio and Television Administration (NRTA), it's up to the platforms to schedule the airing date.

The distribution permit for OOL was issued in May 2020, and so the government cleared it for airing a while ago. And so, it is the platforms that are holding the airing date back.

Multiple considerations go into the decision of when to air any drama. Here are some financial considerations I can think of: are there fierce competitors in the same period? It's usual for multiple c-dramas to begin airing on similar dates. The week between 2019/06/23 and 2019/06/30, for example, 9 series began airing—including The Untamed on 2019/06/27. And on that very same date, another prominent, very well-made drama also began its airing—The Longest Day in Chang'An 長安十二時辰). 

And then, has a popular drama of a similar genre been aired right before? If so, it may be wise to push back the airing date a little. Is it exam period or is it summer, with students being on vacation and having more free time to watch TV, chase after their favourite idols and buy merchandises? That’s the golden season for idol dramas! Are the production studios, platforms under pressure to produce a solid profit report to their investors? Better move a series with very bankable stars then ...

Afterwards, there are, of course, political considerations. For those who may be worried about c-ent’s current upheaval, I’d like to emphasise this: the government swooping in and say, or hint, that this and that popular thing displeases its Socialist sensibilities isn’t new. Dangai isn’t the first genre to be soft-banned, for example; before that, there was the ... Imperial Harem infighting genre 宮鬥劇 (sorry for the silly translation, I don’t know what’s the proper name for it!), which was extremely popular at the time of the ban with recent hits such as The Legend of Zhen Huan 後宮甄嬛傳 and Story of Yanxi Palace 延禧攻略. There was the time travel genre 穿越劇 (For example, Scarlet Heart 步步驚心). The state criticism against “sissy” 娘炮 idols also made its former round in 2018. 

And so, while there may not have been precedences where the government targets c-ent’s obsession with “traffic” 流量—a relatively new term that describes the heavy flow of social media posts, of buzz and cash surrounding a beloved something or someone, c-ent has a long history of, and ample experiences with, dealing with their government’s displeasure at something that its audience loves, that is financially lucrative for the industry and most importantly, along that line, something the industry wishes to keep. 

The last point may be worth emphasising: the production studios, the platforms (streaming, social media etc), the marketing companies, the yxh, the companies who employ celebrities as their spokespeople etc etc, all of them desperately want to keep stars like Gg and Dd around. This is especially true with c-ent being in its “bitter cold winter” financially since 2018, with the tightening censorship that means hit dramas, and "top traffic” 頂流 stars, are increasingly more difficult to make or come by. “Top traffic” stars, in particular, are very attractive to the industry because their fans are (far) more willing to spend money, generate the needed buzz on social media to bring in more “passer-by” audience and in turn, more revenue, and more investment, and more endorsements and sponsorships (see: the number of Dd commercials in SDOC4). 

Therefore, as fans and audience, I think it’s safe to assume this: at least on the front of wishing to protect Gg and Dd’s star status, to protect potentially popular dramas and genres such as OOL, these financial interests stand with us. Does this “saving” go against what is safe for these companies? One can say so. It would be safer for the platforms, for example, to air ... um, say, The Best Speeches by President Xi in place of dramas like OOL. The act would likely please the government very much; signal, perhaps, that the platforms have caught on its ultimate dream, with Xi being the One Idol of China. But this decision would also go against the very nature of these companies as for-profit entities, these Capitalist Existence that are traded in stock markets and are driven to make as much money and as quickly as they can.

What, then, is the easiest way to protect traffic stars like Gg and Dd, like Yang Zi 楊紫, the lead actress of OOL who is also very popular and who, reportedly, also has her own rather ... rambunctious corner of fandom? What’s the easiest way to “save” a potentially popular drama like OOL? Saying what is *the* easiest way may be difficult, but I believe I can name one easy way: to simply keep these popular people, these (potentially) popular things out of attention for a while, especially with October 1st (Communist China’s birthday) drawing near and in 2021, the year of the Chinese Communist Party’s Centennial. 

After all, regulations from the Chinese government tend to come in bursts—axes falling left, right and centre for a while and in quick succession, followed by an extended period of silence (and neglect). The wait, therefore, doesn’t have to be long at all. As short as after a few month’s time, certain parts of c-ent may return to what it was like before and these c-ent companies, having had so much experience in working around situations like this, would know when that time comes, when the coast is clear.

Meanwhile, as fans, we wait. Being in i-fandom means our words and actions have relatively little effect, but if we were in China, our best action would, too, likely be similar to the platforms that delay the airing of OOL, except we cross out the the word “popular” and replace it with “beloved”: we keep our beloved people, our beloved things out of attention. We refrain from going around and complaining, no matter how much we wish to watch the show. We refrain from starting fights. We stay out of hot searches. The Chinese government is bureaucratic and corruption is rampant, which means often times, the higher-ups in charge of dropping the axes have little knowledge about who or what their axes are supposed to fall on, and little care if they get it wrong. In such circumstances, the key to survival is to not stick one’s head out; to make sure we don’t offer our neck, and more importantly, our favourite stars’ neck, for the axes to fall on.

It may be difficult sometimes. We’ll hear hisses, from antis, from doubters, from those who simply aren’t familiar with the situation, that will tempt us to put ourselves and our favourite stars out in the open where the axes are raining. Patience and independent thinking are important in times like this, qualities that allows us to stop, excuse ourselves from the virtual crowd and think ~ wait, is what is being said true? 

The government’s attack on “traffic”, for example, together with the soft-ban on Dangai, have led to soft hisses that Gg and Dd are the targets. 

I invite everyone to step back and think a little—are they?

Here’s one small, but important point that may be lost in translation (and lost, too, even in some Chinese discussions where netizens have scrolled through their feeds too quickly): in the state opinion pieces, the term used against “traffic” stars has consistently been “唯流量”, with 流量 = traffic, and 唯 = only. The presence of the character 唯 is crucial: 唯流量 are not simply “traffic”, or popular stars; they are stars with only traffic, with nothing but traffic. No acting skills, no singing or dancing skills, no other demonstrated capabilities beyond getting their fans to vote and comment and buy things for them.

Are Gg and Dd 唯流量?

(For those who may not know: A Dream Like A Dream 如夢之夢 is not just a Chinese language play. A Chinese adjective that has been used to describe it is 殿堂級 ~ “palace hall grade”, ie, it’s a royalty. Trivia: the version in China ends with a cappella with Patient #5 singing about himself, which means Patient #5 can ruin the finale of the 8 hour show if he fails to sing well, and beautifully.)

Such rumours—that so and so, this and that are the alleged targets—are currently running rampant on Chinese social media, with almost every noteworthy celebrity and media projects etc being named by a few who dislike them. However—or rather, ironically, one may say?—because everyone and everything under the sun has been named, the net effect is not that different from if nothing has been named at all. 

If a similar rumour, if more of such rumours creep onto the shores of i-fandom, therefore, please do not be afraid and remember—these speculations, these noises will most likely fade into obscurity unless the populous Gg+Dd fandom amplify it with their voices, even if theses voices are words of defence.

Silence can be a defence. Silence can be the best defence.

For the time being, with the greater sociopolitical environment being what it is, with “Capital” being reportedly targeted by the state (previously discussed here), platforms and TV stations that are part of Capital may be extra careful and temporarily keep all traffic stars out of their productions, out of sight.

But I remind myself this ~ this isn’t about Gg and Dd. This probably isn’t about 99.9% of the stars who may be temporarily kept out of these productions in the coming weeks, some of whom may have starred in Dangai. As a corollary, I find it important to remind myself that too, to think twice before wondering aloud who may be the targets, to make sure I do not, even accidentally, put any non Gg Dd star and their fans under the axes—not because my words can influence the Chinese government, but rather, because of a simple, almost cliché reason: Do not do unto others what you do not want others do unto you.   

After all, one step outside fandom, people cannot tell one idol from another, cannot tell one drama from another, cannot tell cpfs from solos ...

As fans of c-ent, we’re in this together. ❤️💛💚

What Lies Ahead

You walk down the dusty street of Blackwater, your mind focusing on nothing in particular as you make your way down to the store. However your eyes wander over to the west, where you can just make out the tips of Tall Trees. Something about it has always drawn you, and you’ve always wanted to go out there. Instead you’re forced to stay in town in order to uphold your father’s reputation. After all, the mayor’s daughter is expected to act a certain way, and living the life of a nomad or an outlaw is not how a mayor’s daughter is expected to act. 

After you finish buying your things in the store, you begin heading out the door. You aren’t paying attention to where you’re going and you smack right into a person. You grunt and look up to see a rugged, rather handsome man. The first thing you notice about him is his blue eyes. 

“Sorry the-” he begins, then his eyes widen. “Mary?” 

“Mary?” you say. “That ain’t my name.” 

He blinks and steps back. “No, I reckon it isn’t.” He looks oddly disappointed. 

You give him a strange look and then start to go around him, wanting to get back to your (in your opinion) boring life. Suddenly you hear footsteps running up from behind you and when you look to see who it is, it’s the man. 

“Ma’am, I apologize. You just… ya look like someone I know.” 

“I look like someone you know?” you ask skeptically. 

“Yes. Um… I doubt you’d know her. Mary. She was a… well, never mind. Sorry, wastin’ your time.” 

He tips his hat and then leaves, almost as though desperate to get away. You watch him intently until he’s out of sight. Something about him intrigues you. Perhaps it’s his rugged style, telling of his wild, unbridled life. Something you don’t have. Or perhaps it’s just that he mistook you for someone he knows and when he realized you weren’t this Mary, he almost seemed nervous of you. It’s probably best you put it out of your mind. 

A few days later, you’re standing near the dock of Blackwater along with most of the town. You’re only doing it to pretend to support your father, who’s addressing the town in order to try and convince them to vote for him in a couple of months. You hate these stupid speeches of his. How full of lies he is. 

You’ve always hated your father being the mayor. His lies don’t permeate just through his politics, but in his home life too. He was an absent father even before his current position. However back in those days he was just another Joe sneaking off in the night to cheat on your mom or go off drinking. Now he still does those things but instead of people thinking how despicable he is for those behaviors, they let him get away with it because of his position of power. 

As you stand here now, ignoring your father, you look over and see the man who mistook you as another woman not too far away. He doesn’t look too interested either and as he’s standing in the back of the ground, it looks more like he just wandered over to see what was going on. 

You can’t lie, you haven��t been thinking about him since you saw him last. Perhaps the thing that’s drawing you to him is that you’ve always wanted to know what it is like to live wild and free, and he’s a person who does that and the ice has already been broken between you. 

The man turns to walk away, so you quickly begin pushing your way through the crowd to catch up to him. Damn your father, he doesn’t need you around anyways. Finally you’re out and you jog up behind him. 

“Hey mister!” you say. He turns and his eyes widen again. 

“Oh, uh, hello miss. How are you? Sorry again for the other day.” 

“Oh don’t be. But… but maybe we can go for a drink at the saloon and you can explain why you thought I was this Mary?” You hold your breath, waiting for him to turn you down. He probably will. After all, you’ve obviously intimidated him. 

However he smiles softly, an addition that makes him even more handsome. “Sure. Wouldn’t mind that.” 

When you’re both seated at the saloon, he looks surprised when you order a shot of whiskey and even more surprised when you toss it back like it’s nothing. You find him looking. 

“What?” you ask. 

“Nothin’, sorry. Just… guess I didn’t think you could do that, but it just stems from that person I thought you was.” 

You shuffle in your seat a bit. “Really? So tell me. Who’s this Mary?” 

He looks down at his drink, hiding his eyes and holding a soft smile. “She’s a… well, she’s… she and I was gonna be married, but that was years ago.”  

“Oh. She, uh, she didn’t die, did she? I mean, if you need to talk-” 

“What? No, no she ain’t dead. She just, uh, she… she didn’t like my lifestyle so we broke things off.” 

“Your lifestyle?” you ask. “What lifestyle?” 

He looks around to make sure no one’s listening. “You won’t tell no one, will ya?” 

“Cross my heart and hope to die,” you joke. 

He huffs a small laugh. “Well, okay, I’ll take your word for it. See, I’m an outlaw.” 

You look at him for a second. An outlaw? He’s one of those people who stands for that thing you’ve always yearned for: freedom. That ability to live how you want, do what you want. 

“An… an outlaw, you say?” 

He looks at you as though he expects you to be angry. His hand shifts a little on his shot glass. His eyes drop to it. 

“Yeah. Only like I said, don’t tell no one.” 

“I wouldn’t dream of it, sir. But… well, what’s like?” you ask enthusiastically. 

He looks back up at you as though surprised. “You.... you’re askin’ me what it’s like to be an outlaw?” 

You nod and shift a little closer to him, wanting to know. He huffs a small laugh. “Well, I don’t really know how to describe it to someone who’s never been one. It ain’t easy though. Most nights you spend wonderin’ if someone’s gonna slit your throat, rarely gettin’ to spend a night in a bed. You live rough and hard, knowin’ you’re likely to leave this world with a bullet hole.”

Although you know his words should be putting you off, you find something about his words that draw you. “But it’s exciting, isn’t it?” 

“Excitin’?” he asks skeptically. 

“Yeah! You know, people who live like me, y’know law-abiding citizens,” you put on an exaggerated accent as you say it, “we live knowin’ we’re gonna have long and boring lives, and we’ll die white haired and wishing we’d died a long time ago. But you get to live free, with every day being different from the last. And instead of just being given a life you get to squander away like most of us, you get the chance to actually fight for it! That in itself is a rare gift, if you ask me.” 

He shakes his head a little and looks away, his face saying he doesn’t quite agree. “I don’t know about that. You make the idea of it all sound so romantic. It ain’t nothin’ of the sort.” 

“That’s because it’s all you know, mister. But me… all I know is this boring lifestyle. Everyday’s the same and I always know what’s going to happen. And I gotta tell ya, it’s not what I want.” 

You look down at your empty shot glass, realizing now the depth of your dull life. The outlaw shakes his head again. 

“Thing is, miss, we don’t choose the outlaw life. It chooses us. Folk like me, well, we all come from bad backgrounds and all we can do is decide what to do with what we’re offered. It ain’t somethin’ I’d wish on anyone.” 

“You think folk like me haven’t suffered too?” you say. He looks at you curiously and you know you need to tell him more. “Mister, I have to watch my mom tiptoe around my dad every day that he’s home. Not only that, we both go around, knowing he’s happily sleeping with other women. I hate having to see the pain in my mom’s eyes, knowing there’s nothing I can do. I’ve felt my dad’s harsh hand on my cheek more than once. You think it’s an easy life? Going through that and thinking you have no way to defend yourself?” 

He sighs and looks at his drink again. “Well, maybe not. But it ain’t a good life, miss.” 

“Maybe not, but it’s surely better than the one I have now. The only thing I got to look forward to is a marriage to a guy my daddy’s likely to pick for me, and raising the bastard’s kids. Not something I’d call exciting.” 

You realize now you sound almost as though you’re pleading this man to offer you a different future. The fear of what you have coming to you seems to be hurtling at you. The man smiles a little.

“Well, maybe I don’t wanna ingratiate you into a life like this, but.... If you’re willin’, maybe I can give you a few pointers on how to defend yourself from the nasty folk in your life.” 

You smile at him and he feels his heart flutter. Damn it, why do you have to look so much like Mary? It makes it that much harder to be around you, but it’s your nature that truly intrigues him. You have a spark that he’s rarely seen, an almost naivety he can’t help but find sweet. Mary had that naivety at one point, until she’d witnessed his violent side and it scared her off. He wonders now if things will get to that point with you and you’ll end up running as far as you can. 

Despite the logic staring him in the face that he should just leave you where you are in your boring yet safe life, he decides to offer you how to defend yourself with a gun. You impress him again by heartily agreeing. 

A few weeks go by. You and the man named Arthur Morgan have become fast friends. He’s been teaching you how to shoot. He denies it to himself that he’s not growing feelings for you. Despite looking so much like his beloved Mary, you act nothing like her. You don’t hold a superior attitude of yourself. You’re open to his ideas, his instructions when he’s teaching you, but most of all, you don’t look down on him or criticize him for his way of life. 

You’ve been thinking about Arthur over the past week or so. It’s pretty obvious Arthur likes you, you’ve noticed the subtle flirting. The way his eyes dart to your lips and away when you’re standing close, how he blushes when you pat his shoulder. Although he’s handsome, you don’t really know how you feel about him just yet. 

It doesn’t take long though for you to finally begin feeling the same things towards him. You start lingering your hand on his shoulder, wanting to stand close to him. He’s been in town a lot more lately, stating he’s working on a real estate scam with someone from his gang, and you’re happy to have him around more often. 

There was an evening when the two of you had been fishing when things had been just right. You’d been out all day with the outlaw, the air was warm but not too hot. The sky was a beautiful gold and one thing led to another and you kissed Arthur. He’d kissed you right back. It was then that he decided you needed to know more about his life and how he ran with a gang. You almost asked him then to take you with him to meet them, but a challenge had risen recently. 

Your father is starting to catch wind that you’re up to something and he doesn’t approve. He knows you’ve been running off with a stranger, folk in town who’ve seen you have told him as much. They don’t know what you’re doing with him though and he assumes you’re off doing ungodly things with him that are unbefitting of an unmarried woman who was his daughter. 

He’s been trying more and more to get you to mingle with the men in town that, in his opinion, would make a more fitting husband, and he’s been trying to restrict your time out of the house, claiming your mother needs the help. She, however, always pushes you out when your father leaves and tells you to be with your man. You have a suspicion she’s trying to encourage you to go against your father’s wishes as her own form of revenge on him. Or maybe she doesn’t want you making her mistakes. 

A few days have passed since you last saw Arthur, and you’d agreed to meet here by the post office in Blackwater today. He’s late though. Never before has Arthur been late, and you feel a little worried. You doubt it’s anything serious though. He’s always running around; he’s a busy man. 

You have to admit though, there’s a strange feeling of anticipation in the air today. Maybe you’re just being silly because Arthur’s late. No one else seems to notice it. 

You sit down on the bench and wipe some dust off your new pants. Ever since you started dating Arthur, he’s been encouraging you more and more to be your own person, to do what you want and wear what you want. You’ve rarely worn pants up until recently, but they’re far preferred over skirts and dresses. Riding horses in them is far easier as well. 

More time passes and still Arthur has not shown up yet. Is he blowing you off? Maybe… maybe he finally decided you’re not worth it anymore. Not that you blame him. Boring person like yourself must be mediocre at best for a man like him, whose life is full of excitement. How you envy him. 

You sigh and begin to stand up. It’s obvious he’s not coming, it’s been well over an hour now. Feeling hurt and confused, you begin walking away from the post office when all of a sudden, people in the city begin to scream and yell. Horses begin running all over, urged by their riders. An officer hollers out, “Ferry’s being robbed!” 

Your gut suddenly sinks and your mind immediately goes to Arthur. His gang is the only one you know about, and they must be the ones doing this. Is he with them? Is he going to get shot? 

You panic and begin running towards the town, towards the doc to see the ferry. You have to make sure he’s okay. 

Just as you set off, a hand suddenly grabs your arm and pulls you into an alleyway. As you’re about to scream, sure that some predator is about to take the town’s panic and attack you, you look at him. Relief floods you as you gaze into Arthur’s eyes. 

He’s sweating and panting a little, and he’s tense. You can see it in his shoulders. 

“Don’t go that way, darlin’. It’s a goddamn mess.” 

“Arthur, what’s happening?” you demand. “Did… did you do this?” 

“What? No. I mean, not directly.” He looks around, making sure no lawmen are coming. Then he looks at you and you see his brows contract as though he’s about to do something he really doesn’t like. “Darlin’, I didn’t do this, but I ain’t gonna lie to you. Most of my gang is on that boat. I was tryin’ to pull some more of that scam me and Hosea been doin’. Sounds like everythin’s gone wrong though. I… I don’t know what’s gonna happen to us.”

“What are you saying, Arthur?” 

He looks at you again and you feel another surge of panic, already knowing what he’s going to say. 

“Darlin’, I have to run away. There’s Pinkertons huntin’ us now. My only choice is to run and… I just wanted to see you one last time before-”

“No,” you interrupt. “No, I’m not letting you go that easily, Arthur Morgan! I’m coming with you!”

“What? No. No, you ain’t. This ain’t no life I’d wish upon you.” 

“But it’s what I want, Arthur! I want you! If that means I have to join a group of criminals to do it, then I will. I’m not leaving you! Besides, you’d be freeing me of my prison.” 

“It ain’t a vacation, darlin’! This life is hard. We’re guaranteed to leave with a bullet!” 

“Better than dying old and worn out, wishing you’d done more than you did. Arthur, I already know how my life is going to play out if I stay here, and I don’t want it! Take me with you! If you don’t, I’ll just follow you on my horse.” 

Arthur would never admit it, but his heart soars when you say this. He’d hated himself when he realized he had to break things off in order to protect you. He still wishes you’ll change your mind, this really isn’t an easy life that he lives. 

“It’s gonna be rough and hard, sweetheart,” he says, trying to convince you differently. 

“Better than boring and dull, Arthur. Take me with you.” 

He sighs, seeing the fire in your eyes. It’s clear he will not win this fight. With a resolved nod, he takes your hand and leads you out of the alleyway and then runs for his horse. Right after helping you onto the back, he mounts up and begins galloping towards the edge of the city. 

Just as he’s approaching the farm houses on the borders of Blackwater, Pinkertons come around. They yell to each other, demanding Arthur be shot. He kicks his horse harder but she suddenly whines and her legs collapse under her, throwing both you and Arthur. 

“No, no. You goddamn bastards!” Arthur roars, whipping out his gun and firing at the Pinkertons. He’s outnumbered though, so you grab his gun from his other holster and fire. Your aim isn’t even half as good as his as you’ve just begun to learn how to shoot a gun, but you manage to shoot two Pinkertons down. 

By the time the weight of what you’ve just done begins to sink onto you, the remaining Pinkertons have fallen. Arthur grabs your hand and begins to run. Behind one of the ranch houses is a pasture with a horse, slightly panicked from the gunshots. 

“Arthur,” you whine behind him as he calms the horse so you both can mount. “Arthur, I just… those men… I killed…!” 

“Shhh, shhh. I know, sweetheart. I told you, this life is rough. I can’t even count how many men I killed.” 

He turns to you with guarded eyes. “You sure you still wanna do this? I promise you will kill more men if you come with me. Every single one of us has. It’s a weight you’ll have to get used to if you come. I won’t blame ya or think less of ya if you change your mind.” 

You square your shoulders, telling yourself you’ll cry about it later when you’re alone. “You ain’t getting rid of me so easily, Mr. Morgan.” 

He smiles, impressed by your determination. Then he grabs you and puts you onto the back of the horse. He climbs on in front again with some difficulty as there’s no saddle or bridle, but he manages to guide it just fine. 

As Arthur runs, you feel a certain exhilaration fill you. It seeps into your lungs and then permeates through your whole body. My father had gotten arrested and now my Mother and I were moving to his hometown, including his ex-wife and my half sister. We weren’t going to be living in the same apartment, but we would be in the same building. We were moving into The Pembroke and it was probably the nicest thing in this town. 

“Why couldn’t we just stay in New York?” I asked. 

“We’re here till things cool down.” My Mother said. 

“Right…” I sighed. 

We each went to our separate apartments, ours being bigger than Hermione and Veronica’s. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love my half sister, she’s like my best friend, but I still enjoy being better than her. Once I finished unpacking my things and got my room sorted I walked out to see my Mother just getting off the phone. 

“Hello dear, would you bring this back to Hermione? She ordered from a small diner that she said was to die for. I ordered for you already and you and Veronica are going to go pick it up.” She said and I sighed slightly. 

“Fine.” I said and grabbed the phone from her. I took it over their apartment. Veronica answered the door and smiled at me. 

“Oh, thank you. I see you’re ready to go.” She said with a smile. 

“Let me just grab my coat.” I said and went to go get it. 

“Ready.” I said and we went out to the car. When the car stopped it was in front of a small diner called Pop’s Chock’Lit Shoppe. 

“We’ll be right back.” Veronica said as we got out. We walked inside and I noticed someone staring at us. Veronica pulled me along, near the table of the guy staring at us. 

“I called in an order, for Lodge?” Veronica asked the man working. 

“Four burgers, yeah, almost ready, but you gotta wait.” He said with a kind smile and walked behind the counter. 

“Hi.” Veronica said to the two that were sitting in the booth we were standing in front of. 

“Hey.” The guy that was staring, smiling at us. 

“How are the onion rings here?” I asked. 

“So good.” He answered. 

“Can we get some onion rings too, please?” I asked. 

“Yeah!” The man working said.

“Thanks. We just moved here with our Moms, so…” Veronica said. 

“From where?” The guy asked. 

“New York.” I answered with a smile. 

“Wow.” The guy said. 

“Do you guys go to Riverdale?” I asked. 

“We do. Both of us. Together.” 

“Yeah, we’re sophomores.” The guy and girl said at the same time. 

“Us too.” Veronica said. 

“I’m filled with dread.” I said. 

“Why is that?” The guy asked. 

“Are you familiar with the works of Truman Capote?” I asked and he nodded. 

“I’m Breakfast at Tiffany’s, but this place is strictly In Cold Blood.” I said and he laughed while I giggled. 

“Angelina Lodge.” I introduced myself. 

“This is my half sister, Veronica Lodge.” I said as I shook the guys hand. 

“Archie Andrews.” He said with a smile. 

“Uh, this is Betty Cooper.” He said as he introduced the girl. 

“Wait, are you…” Veronica trailed off. 

“Supposed to give you your tour tomorrow? Yes. I’m your peer mentor.” Betty finished. 

 “Do you want to join us?” Archie asked. 

“Hey, maybe we can un-fill you with dread.” He added. 

“Our Mom’s are waiting for us.” Veronica said. 

“But, to be continued.” I said with a flirty smile. Veronica pulled me away and we grabbed the food. We went back to the car and we were on the way home. 

“He was pretty cute, what do you think?” I asked. 

“For a small little town, yeah, he’s cute.” Veronica agreed. 

“Now I’m very excited about school tomorrow.” I said and she rolled her eyes. 

School was interesting for the week. Veronica and I joined the cheer team and she became pretty good friends with Betty. I on the other hands didn’t really find anyone that really interested me besides Archie. He wasn’t my usual type, but why not try something new? So when the dance came and Veronica, Betty, and I went with Archie. Veronica was trying hard to get Betty and Archie together, but it didn’t work out. So now we were going to an after party at the Blossom’s house. It was a lot more fun than the actual dance was. 

“It’s game time at Chez Blossom, kiddies.” Cheryl Blossom said as she gathered a bunch of people up. 

“We’re going old-school tonight. Seven minutes in Heaven. Who wants to tryst in the closet of love first?” She asked. 

“My vote is A for Archie. Anyone care to second it?” She asked. 

“Wait, actually-” 

“Yes, Andrews! Yes!” Reggie said, cutting Archie off. 

“Alright, gather round, kids.” Cheryl said. 

“Let’s see who’s riding the ginger stallion tonight.” She said as she placed a bottle on the table and spun. I sat next to my sister and hoped with baited breath that I would get to be the one in the closet with Archie. It landed in between Veronica and Betty. 

“Oh no way!” Reggie said and I rolled my eyes. 

“It’s clearly pointing to... new girl, Veronica. This should be fun.” Cheryl said. 

“Um… I’m not doing this.” Veronica said. 

“That’s up to you. But if you don’t, house rules decree the hostess gets to take your turn.” Cheryl said with a smirk. My sister got up and went into the closet with Archie. I narrowed my eyes at the door. 

“I’m out of here.” I said and left quickly. How dare she! 

“Angelina, what are you doing home so early?” My Mother asked. 

“My bitch of a sister ruined my night.” I grumbled. 

“Watch your language! What do you mean she ruined your night?” She asked. 

“There’s a boy here that I told her I had my eye on and she went and tried to get him with another girl and then kissed him!” I said and she sighed. 

“So high school drama.” She said and I narrowed my eyes. 

“I’m going to my room.” I said and stormed off. 

A little later Veronica came into my room and I immediately threw a pillow at her. 

“Get out!” I growled. 

“You’re not honestly upset that I kissed him, are you?” She asked and I narrowed my eyes. 

“I told you when we first saw him that I thought he was cute, you should know that means I have my eyes on him!” I said and she rolled her eyes. 

“Please, he’s not even your type.” She said. 

“Seriously? Just get over it.” She said and I glared at her. 

“I told you I liked him and one, you go and try and get him with another girl, then two, you kiss him!” I said. 

“I’m sorry Angie, but I can’t help that I like him too.” She said and I rolled my eyes. 

“Get. Out.” I growled and she sighed. 

“Fine, whatever.” She said and left.

A few weeks later and I was the one dating Archie Andrews. Veronica was jealous, especially since I was rubbing it in her face. She always got the guy and this time it was my turn. As our relationship went on I realized he really wasn’t my type. My type was definitely someone more like Jughead, the bad boy type style. Archie actually got jealous about me hanging out with Jughead more. I was bringing out my normal style, lots of black and bad girl looking clothes. Something my Mother and Father hated. They’d rather I dress more like Veronica does, but that just isn’t me. When the year was ending I broke it off with Archie. We just weren’t end game and I didn’t want to waste my time anymore. Jughead understood where I was coming from, but he was the only one. However when I was coming home after the breakup, I walked in to see my Father sitting at the end of the table. 

“Daddy!” I said and ran over to him. 

“Hello Princess.” He said as I hugged him and he kissed my head. 

“You’re back! So we can go home right?” I asked and he shook his head. 

“I have plans here, so we’re staying.” He answered and I frowned a little. 

“What’s wrong?” He asked. 

“I just broke up with my boyfriend and I do not want to stay here anymore.” I said and he sighed. 

“Sorry Princess, we need to stay here a bit longer.” He said and I sighed. 

“Alright Daddy.” I said. 

Weeks went by and Jughead and I were definitely spending more on the Southside, something my parents hated. They especially hated when I joined the Serpents. That night was amazing. It was the night I met Sweet Pea. It was at Jughead’s Father’s retirement party and I was about to become a Serpent. Before I left the house with Veronica I put on the perfect lingerie under my black dress that my parents allowed me to wear out of the house. 

A bit into the party Jughead nodded me towards the back of the stage. He walked over to Hogeye and told him that it was time. I undressed and left my heels on, ready to do this dance and have every guy looking at me. Even though I didn’t have feelings for Archie and he was dating my sister now, it would be so fun to see his face during this. 

“We’ve got something special tonight, we’re gonna be welcoming a new member to the Serpents. Everyone, give it up for Angelina!” I heard Hogeye announce and people started clapping. The song Lil Freak started playing and I walked out on the stage with a sexy strut. My eyes scanned the room and I saw Archie looking at me with his jaw dropped. I smirked and walked up to the pole and worked it like it was my job. As I continued scanning the room I saw a tall tan Serpent boy with a sexy Serpent tattoo on his neck. 

When the song ended I got my jacket and I walked to the back to get dressed again. I met Jughead outside the door and he smiled. 

“How does it feel being a Serpent now?” He asked and I smirked. 

“Like I’m finally my own person and not Daddy’s little girl.” I answered and he chuckled. 

“Well, you got a fan.” He said and I raised my brow.

“Come, I’ll introduce you.” He said. 

“Angelina, this is Sweet Pea, Sweet Pea, this is Angelina Lodge.” Jughead said and I smiled as I saw the tall tan boy. 

“Pleasure to meet you.” I said offering him my hand. 

“You were amazing up there.” He said and I smirked. 

“Thanks for noticing.” I said and he smirked in return. 

“Angelina! What the hell was that!?” Veronica asked, completely ruining the moment. 

“I’m a Serpent, that’s what that was.” I answered with a roll of my eyes. 

“Clearly… Daddy and Dove are going to be pissed.” She said and I scoffed. 

“Like you care, now if you excuse me, I’m talking with a very attractive guy.” I said and turned back to Sweet Pea. 

“Let’s get you a drink.” He said and led me off to the bar. 

That was how our relationship started. That was also how I lost the title of Daddy’s little girl. My Father hated that I joined a gang and that I was dating someone from it. My Mother didn’t care as much since she was happy that I was happy. Angelina Lodge was no longer going to let other people run her life, no, I was taking my life into my own hands now!

Homeless Autistic Girl

Hey guys... this really kills me to ask, however right now I’m homeless at the moment.

Technology, I’m living with a long time friend who is hounding me to find a job since she believes it’s just so damn easy and move out by The end of February. I’ve put out application after application and only maybe a couple have called back for an interview. Only for them to tell me the same exact thing over and over, “You don’t seem like you will do well for this job.” With out even giving me a garsh darn chance to show them I’m willing to work my butt off.

Yet, they hire people who are literally ALLERGIC to manual labor, and pay them twice the wage to appease them so they don’t get sued. It pisses me off. I have Autism and PTSD, I watched my mother and fathers beloved dog get run over by a car, I know these people have mommy and daddy’s that coddle them. My parents died on September 22, 2013. My sister’s threw me out in the cold and said I’m on own. I’m still here, sadly. Not one day goes by and I don’t think about giving up and killing myself. Love to give that bayberry (under a new name) Bitch and all the rest what they wanted in the first place! With heartless pieces off shit like them in this world, I definitely don’t feel it’s worth the aggravation!

You push, you kick, you fight, you bite, you bunch, but guess what you end up someone else’s lunch! It’s survival of the fittest and you’ve won the game if you have Money, Fame, and/or Power! Just 1 on these gives you the right to control poor peoples lives!

You can play the advocate for good all day, but turning a blind eye to the innocent people that are truly in pain by the very people you are advocating for. Who’s the real villain? Saying the people who did nothing deserve it because someone said its poetic revenge... read a book. Get your facts straight, you really think they would attack now? Why didn’t they attack back then? People don’t postpone revenge -_-...

(if I had a grudge against a person, I’d want to get them now, not expect my descendants to attack his descendants. 1. How do I know if they’ll follow through? 2. What if everything is patched up and my other descendants didn’t know that and still desire to take their revenge? My friend I was talking about earlier; well she’s not only getting on my case about finding a job, but she’s also pissing me off about politics. Her plan is to be an American History Teacher. She wants to teach her class how America was founded on the “Socialistic” Principles we use today and that’s bullshit! We wouldn’t have many of our largest company products that I bet everyone of you see every single day, more than likely every minute of your day.

(For Starters:

Let’s start off with Ford, if America was a Socialistic Society, well then all of you who drive a Ford let alone a car in general, would walk everywhere. If it wasn’t for Ford’s Model T being a Successful test run clearing the way to Model A. Ford’s company could only up from there. (Btw: anyone who drives the VMW Bug- just a little trivia for you did you know that the original design was created by Adolf Hitler himself? Adolf Hitler was the original Designer for the shape of that car the VMW Bug, just a little tid pit I know from Graphic Design School, hope that doesn’t ruin your VMW driving experience:D)

Another one I’d like to point out: McDonald’s, that famous Golden Arches fast food places started as a ma and pa rest stop, now it’s one of the biggest fast food chains in the world! Mickey D’s started again in America! Again how is that possible in a Socialistic society?

Socialism is structured to where everyone is equal... equal pay... equal healthcare... equal quality of living... doesn’t count the politicians! In this system if you work you’re an idiot. Those who sit on their ass get everything handed to them, those who work their asses off barely survive. So why bother putting yourself through that much torture. Because:

No power

No cable

No doctors

No teachers

No police

No food

No safety

No security...

Why? This would have been a good thing! This here proves Socialism doesn’t work!

Anthony, A Real Feminist, (no Feminist is an insult to her, She a Real Woman, The Genuine Wonder Woman!) demanded she was sentenced to jail just like any man who broke the law! (Please oh please can we do that to these modern, pussies who call themselves women!) The first woman to fly a plane over the pacific Amelia, or the women who rose up against unjust treatment Rosa Parks, I mean come on. Worst of all is, she’s being taught tha John Wilkes Booth was Republican and Abraham Lincoln was Democrat... and it’s reversed. There’s a saying the liberals came up with: “if those damn n$&@€ must vote then they should only vote Democrat!”

My friend has become heartless and greedy, I’m in a fucked up spot because of a malicious brat who played innocent and didn’t understand what happens when you compromise. It’s not one side surrenders and the other gains, but what do I expects from the preppy college school type, (not all preppy girls are mean, I just have this personality that sends the wrong vibes and makes them more territorial)AKA mean girl type... however, this girl demanded everything goes her way or else. She’s from Georgia, yet she comes to higher elevation part and in the middle of the US, it’s winter yet she expects sunshine and beaches? All of us to be drinking out of a coconut? Yes, her hair is blonde at the roots, and she smokes pot in the apartment. Kind of gives you a clue on the person she is. Of and her Boy Toy is always there... when I stayed there. She blamed me for her messes, and her food she didn’t eat. Thing is I hate fish. Well another one to count she has a low IQ from the Mercury poisoning... and here I thought fish helped with brain development.

Anyway, it was hell, so my friend volunteered on the condition that I find a job and move out ASAP. I’m tryin as hard as I can here.

Being told no everywhere I go is very discouraging. I’ve made a gofund me campaign to maybe to maybe help a little... I don’t expect anyone to donate really... if anyone could click the link and share it to a friend they know and spread it around.

EPISODE 0 (BALLOTS): GET ANOTHER SHOT AT TAKING THE CROWN - KEEGAN

I'm watching everyone join the chat and keeping tabs on who played once or twice so i know who look out for on the ballot or possibly in the game. I know people from my season probably hate me and will never trust me in games ever again so i'm trying to keep my head down and my wig on because i know if i do get voted in along with that don't like game me, i'm truly fucked. I'm still excited and hopeful for the best.

Every time I look at the ballot, I flinch and cringe a bit because it's almost guaranteed that whoever gets on this season will have a partner with them from their season which is pretty much an alliance right off the bat. It worries me because I could be without a seasonal partner which could put a target on my back if I do get into the game, or the game will be even harder to play because everyone will be expected to be with their partner and divergence from that system could cause serious chaos

Honestly, I don't think I stand a CHANCE against some of these other people in the ballot. Some people in the ballot are literal legends in both the TS and BB communites so I'm honestly just hoping for the best that I'll make the cut. If I make it onto the cast I hope Dom, Nick & Luke are there with me since I know them all but I'm sure I'll be happy with whoever I'm in the game with as long as I get cast!

Well I'm nervous as always when it comes to public vote. I think I can get enough votes to make it!! I know I have a fan club that is doing what they can. If I don't get in it's not like it's the end of the world!! Yeah it would be fun but there are always more seasons!!! I just hope it's not casted with people that are gonna be inactive or complete butts. Like Matthias - please no I like him but please don't cast him. In games he is a mess.

I feel like people have more connections with alot of people here in the tumblr community. Me in the other hand has less connections with most of the community. I can tell by this ballot that if you are popular you can get instantly in and I feel like there's more to this ballot but it's just my guess. I feel like the Great Lakes people are all in and another season of 4 I forgot (on phone btw) is in as well. That's probably a pre-made alliance by now and if I was in ima make sure to find an idol first and making sure my own cover is there so that way one by one they will go down, honesty is the best policy and I play true to the heart and I may be nice, but if I played a 2nd time ima play like a comp beast that no one can try to beat. My entity of advertising is to not campaign and not to ask people to campaign for me but to get them to campaign to vote me without me actually doing the work but with a little bit of me saying yes please vote me but without saying to vote me in a lot of vocabulary terms. Win or lose the ballot it was great being asked to play again despite whatever happens will happen.

i don't think i have a shot at being cast so i don't have much to say. i just hope that the cast is adorable. if i get in then this world is fucked up.

It's funny to submit a confessional for a series you haven't been cast on yet. There's 30 options. I have played exactly 3 games in the community since joining in late 2016. Myanmar was my first game and I tanked that pretty bad. Since then, I won House of Shade 16 and I played Survivor Wikia: Morocco on Facebook and placed 4th, winning Player of the Season. I now feel like I'm ready to come back to Tumblr Survivor and see if I can play a better game than previous. Looking at the prospective cast, I am the oldest on the ballot by 4 years, so I definitely have my work cut out for me no matter what. I have only played with Keegan, my Myanmar castmate, but I'm friendly with Trent (Kiribati) because he hosted Survivor Wikia: Morocco. My strategy for campaigning has been to just be visible in the VL because a lot of people have made it obvious that they only know a few people and they, for whatever reason, are required to fill up the ballot with 10 names. I'm befriending as many people in the chat as possible to take the opportunity to be fresh in their heads when they're selecting randoms to fill out the rest of their ballots. So far, I like Nick (bio video notwithstanding), Tyler (though the vast majority of the community has told me to stay far away from him), Renee, Ian, Benjamin, Zack, Logan, Ci'ere (who lives in the same city that I do), Steven, Ashton, Kage, Luke, and Bodhi (that list was longer than intended. It looks like I just like everybody).

To summarize: My campaign is literally just participation. My friends from other ORGs voting for me is the same expectation everyone else should have. The real game is convincing losers you don't know that they should vote for you in addition to the 3-4 people they have history with.

Um I'm worried I'm not gonna be cast becuz I don't really know anybody in this community but strategies hmmmm I'm in pretty big reddit org community so Ive posted the ballot in there everyday which probabaly got me some extra votes people couldn't get. But other than that I feel like the only people I'm getting are the other Great Lakes people which maybe is enough but I doubt it. Anyways, hopefully I'm cast..don't think I will be.

I'm not really doing much for the ballot honestly! I'm just posting it in a few chats I am in and sending it to friends that I know are voting for me. I am also making sure that I vote myself everyday and haven't missed one yet! I'll probably get more aggressive as the days go on, because I want to make sure I at least have a group of 10-15 I know are voting me. What I like is that you are required to vote for 10 people in my group so I hope I'm not just skipped and some people accidentally vote for me!!

Right now my strategy is being an annoying fly and fly into all the chats I'm in and tell them to vote for me. I was shook to see 4 Bora Bora reps including myself in the ballot. Not to mention 3 Mystic Falls peeps and Luke as well. I'm already trying to assess these people in the ballot and get a read on them. Anyways hopefully all the Bora Bora and Mystic Falls get casted because I love them all.

Alright there friends. Welcome to my second season on Tumblr Survivor. I'm very excited to get everything working, it's all falling together with relative ease.

So on my ballot, there's quite a few people. A whole 15 of them in fact.

Ok so Logan and I are both from Maine. I have NO FUCKING CLUE where Ellsworth even is, but I'll trust that it's in Maine. We are also both Jews, and with the addition of Daisy, this might be the highest concentration of Jews in human history. We hit it off well enough, we'll work together if we can.

Dom R seems like a cuck, but fortunately for us, I'm also a cuck! what a beautifully cute insult. Now, Dom was kind enough to elaborate on his game in his little campaign video, and it is CLEAR to me that he is not that great at this game. He'll make the merge, and he'll be eliminated as a threat, and everyone(including me) will say "oh no, Dom was robbed." But we'll be wrong. He doesn't understand the game a high enough extent I don't think. He is very much on the "prove myself, make a move" train, which is NOT HEALTHY. I hope that Dom proves me wrong with his game, because I really like the guy off of my first impression alone, but I think he'll make a move too early and pay for it.

C, I, E R E, don't forget the apostrophe. God, this is an annoying way to say your name. On that fact alone, I didn't vote Ci'ere in the first two ballots. However, I decided on a whim to talk to him, and I actually really like the guy. He's a little over the top, but hey, so am I, just in a different way. I'm excited for Ci'ere, because I think that I can make other people feel rubbed the wrong way by him, but I also think that he could be a great ally.

Akito seems beloved, so I'm checking that name on every ballot. I want to maximize my own chances by throwing away my votes at people who I feel are already guaranteed a spot. I don't click that well with Akito, but I think I could if we were on the same tribe.

I am PUMPED for some Brett. I didn't care about Brett until now, but his calling out the Tumblr community in his paragraph that is posted ON TUMBLR is incredible. I really hope that he gets on, because we need at least one straight white male to fulfill the diversity requirements.

Keegan's intro is so LONG, but he seems like a good threat to have around. I think he's got a decent shot at winning, but not really. He says that he will do anything to win, which probably includes losing.

Steven and I won't click I don't think. He says iconic about FOUR DAYS. Like, iconic is only a cool word if you don't overuse it. See Brett for more info. He's gonna make big moves, so I want him on my side. He won't win, but he could make it a little ways into the game, and he'd be a convenient shield because EVERYONE is rooting for his success in the VL. I actually take back that we wont get along. "Nothing says winning like two rocks in your pocket" is a beautiful quote, and I really like Steven now.

Dom A was player of the season in India. I was POTS in my season as well, so hopefully there will be a mutual shield relationship with us two.

ASHTON and I never really clicked on GL. I liked the guy, but Kage wanted him gone, and I wanted Kage in charge, so I let it happen. Ashton was MAD at me, but I did what I had to.

Kage was my favorite. He LOVES grabbing control of the game and tearing it to the ground, but the problem is that everyone sees through him. Kage will be an early boot this season, but he'd better be on my side until he goes.

Luke thinks that he played a good game in Great Lakes. I very much disagree with this notion, and I need to avoid telling him that I think his game was very average. He just played idols that he found out of sheer luck too early, and got voted out for playing too hard. His social game makes everyone think that he's scheming too much, which is not exactly what you want the perception of you to be. I am excited to play with Luke again because I really love the guy, but I'm going to have to keep my mouth shut.

Lily gave a terrible bio, and all I know is that her perception of the game seems below average.

Daisy seems very intelligent. I would love to work closely with Daisy. She and I are both Jews, and I've very offhandedly mentioned the possibility of a Jewish alliance called "the Jews did this" just because I think that's funny.

Alright!! ON TO MYSELF! So am I going to win second chances? probably not. I don't think I have that much of a shot at all actually. But I'm going to give it my all, and try to play the most fun game that I possibly can. I'm floating around so very many new strategic ideas, and I'm narrowing in on a game plan. I want to be that one guy who is just controversial enough that people will think I'm a goat, but just sensible enough that people will want to work with me. I essentially want to be Abi Maria, except it's all an act. I am very excited to play this game out. I don't know to what extent I will take this strategy, but I know that to an extent I'll be playing a new character this season, which excites me quite a bit. I'll throw challenges just a little bit this time around, because I think that it's exhilarating, but I don't want people realizing that I'm throwing them. There's a whole new dimension that needs to be applied now. Originally, I just wanted to seem like I am not a threat at all, but now I have to seem like I'm not trying to seem like I'm not a threat, while still minimizing my threat factor. WHEW this is gonna be fun.

Outside of my ballot, I really like Ryan. He talks in a way that shows his intelligence. He pauses, and then lets out a bunch of words at once, which is a very appealing way to speak in my opinion. I think he's going to overplay, but I'd like him on my side while he does it.

Renee is going to be one of the bigger threats in the game. I think she's not in a great position to win, but she's got a good shot. I'm very excited to play with her.

I really love Ian's accent. He wants to prove himself which is great for my game. I don't want to prove myself at all, I just want to win, and these people saying that proving themselves is important is EXCELLENT.

Trent is over the top in the best possible way. I love Trent.

Apparently Ashley Sarah is very popular, so I'll watch out for her.

Zack is a very good player. That is no good.

Uh so like, I'm not entirely confident about getting onto the season and I really do think it's all down to the season that I originally come from. People literally hate the Great Lakes cast and it's not hard to see why because all tea, they're some of the most annoying people I've ever met in my life. I'm being shady by not voting for any of the other Great Lakers on the ballots but that's because I don't want any of them in the season with me! Ashton and Kage don't deserve it and quite frankly, Bodhi is full of himself and he ain't that great so there's that!

I'm trying my best to campaign for votes, getting a couple people from outside the community to vote for me so that's cute. I'm putting the link in my Skype bio, on my Tumblr and just places where people might click it and vote for me! I really do think that I deserve this second chance but there are 4 Great Lakers on the ballot and like....people won't wanna vote for all 4 of them so they might be leaving me out. I'm literally guilty by association for being on one of the worst seasons but I was one of the shining lights of that season, know that. Can't wait to get dragged for this in the GL reunion chat if this gets released. Oops!

Finals can't keep a hoe from campaigning

I'm so glad that campaigning is 1/3 of the way done because I think I'm annoying everyone by telling them to vote for me everyday lmao. I'm one of the lesser known people in the Tumblr community, so I'm going to have to work twice as hard to get my name out there and collect dem votes. Luckily, people like unique names so that's a plus for me!! My predictions on official cast locks from group one are Trent, Tyler, Matthias, Ryan, Nick, Renee, Ashley Sarah, Abel, Jeff and Zack. For group two: Bodhi, Keegan, Brett, Steven, Ashton, Logan, both Doms, and Kage. This is based on video views and how people are socializing/campaigning for their faves. I didn't really care for Max's video, but their self-deprecating manner and individuality makes me hope they get through. I'm trying to socialize a lot in the VL, send some cute selfies lmao, and literally message every group chat I'm in to garner votes. I literally gave someone my face wash routine asdfghjkl. I hope that people are liking me and that in about 9 days 'll be sending confessionals from in the game! I really want this second chance and I'm gonna go all out for it.

Whew! So I probably should've submitted by now but I keep forgetting. Anyways, so far my strategy is to not campaign too much. I figure most people are voting based off their friends, or based off who they think had the most convincing plea's. So if someone wasn't already gonna vote for me, they're not gonna change their mind just because i sent the link to a random VL and asked them to. If I see someone send a link I'll add on, "hey, vote for me too!" but I really don't think it's gonna make a huge difference. I really hope that people see me and know that I deserve this, and that they choose to vote me in.

I'm not sure there's much else to say at this point. I put in a lot of effort, maybe not as much as I could have, but hopefully it pays off!

Today is the day!! I've gotten to talk to several people on the ballot as we help each other get votes. I really look forward to knowing if I made it in and working with some of these people!!! I really should play more survivor so maybe this game will help me get back into that side of the org community!! Nervous but I think I have enough to do it.

The more time that passes, i'm starting to think that maybe i didn't get cast for second chances. Truth be told, i'm not that popular and i'm sure the people that always talk will probably get voted in because they most likely made a bunch of email accounts and had their friends vote too, so i'm slowly losing hope on the fact that i got cast. To me, i'd rather expect not to be cast and then expect too much and get short changed. If the so called "annoying" people get cast and i'm not, then i would have dodged a bullet but i'd still like to play. I'm sorry i'm not that bitch, that's just not my style

Voting Closure- Well voting has ended and my chances going in are pretty...pretty low. I did not campaign at all and I know most of these people played harder to get in. It would be a total miracle if I was in, I would be surprised if I was in because I did not campaign at all. I guess it depends on how you are perceived as. So the ballots have officially come to an end and now I wait. There are some people on the ballot I can 100% see myself trying to work with like Dom, Logan, Luke, etc. It doesnt appear to me that I have any enemies on the ballot, which is a huge plus... not to mention I have no rivalries with people because I havent played in 200 years. I think I have a far shot at getting a chance to come back... my name was first on the ballot which might help???? As long as there wasnt too much of a rigged system I shit be looking pretty to go in on Friday :)

With voting over and the game beginning on Friday, I'm starting to get nervous I didn't get enough votes to make the season.

I'm not too confident as far as the result of the ballot goes, but I hope that I stood out enough to make people want to vote for me. I tried being a bit more strategic with my votes in the final half. I tried voting for only one player from each season, because I know how difficult the game will be if there's already a huge alliance of players that know each other. I keep trying to reassure myself that there's only a small chance that I won't be making it just based on the nature of the votes, so I really hope I get in!

Greetings there, cowboys. I've been listening to some cool music recently! And more importantly, I've been thinking out my strategy. I want people to think about me just the right amount at first, but then fade into the background. I want to be one of those people that on day one, people want to be the first to get to strategically, but then I want to float down that river until I crash into a goddamn beaver damn and get voted out in 7th place.

My social game is exactly what I want it to be. My pregaming hasn't been anything firm, but I've talked to a few people and planted seeds for future social connections. I'm not getting super close with anyone pregame, but I'm bonding with people over various portions of our identities. Oh, you're Jewish? Me too. Let's be friends. Oh, your name is spelled weirdly? Me too. Let's be friends and bond over lying about our names so that people don't misspell/mispronounce them when we order food. I've said that I refuse to play the same game twice, and that is still true, but I have to rely on my anyone-but-me if I want to succeed. I can't try ANYTHING strategic that people will be threatened by. I need to be very moderate, just empowering others to do what they want to do, and sticking in the background.

I've worked pretty hard to get on the season, so people are going to think of me as a threat, but my new goat personality might be enough that their fears will subside.

i'm feeling decent about my chances of getting on. most people have told me they felt like i was a lock, and lowkey i just got announced to be in another org so i didnt campaign like at all. so it could go either way.

The ballot is over and I feel like my chances going in is slim. Idk how many people voted for me and I feel like the most outcasted person since I don't know many of these people.... But let's see what will happen.

omg i forgot to confess bc i was so busy.... so this last round was honestly p straightforward. the ~international~ alliance stuck together. i feel bad cos liam is the loml but ): a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do.

i’m nervous about the joint tribal bc let’s be real i’ll be going. i’m nervous for whatever tribe goes with us cos if it’s atilla i’m worried someone i’m close with will leave. tho honestly i would flip on stephen z. so we’ll see!

Winning this immunity challenge is a double-edged sword. I'm immune at what will probably be a chaotic joint tribal, and LIKELY going to be making it to the merge soon. At least I hope so. But there's two major drawbacks, and I want to talk about why I'm worried about each of them.

Number one is obvious, I can't socialize with the 4 Kato members that will be at this vote. They'll be meeting 4 more original Takagi members and potentially bonding with them while I'm sitting here in what is basically exile. I need to pay even more attention to my first impressions because these players are definitely going to have some kind of deal going before I show up.

The second is just as important. i won't be at this tribal council, meaning I can potentially lose an ally here without having any ability to change plans for the better. If Karth or Ally get voted out here, my game takes a huge hit. A hit that I might have been able to prevent if I was there with Jess and Alyssa.

But, I'm gonna enjoy this safety while it lasts. I want my last few moments away from the merge to be stress free, since I know things are really going to pick up once every piece is on the board.

i'm going to tribal for the second time this game, and it's a joint tribal. rip. i am riddled with fear and stress.

i don't think i should be targeted. i believe i've maintained a solid social game and appear as a benefit to most people. i trust karthik/tim enough to not vote me, and i think i've developed somewhat of a grounding with jake/miguel. though ally/stephen/luke may identify me as a physical threat, i think ally knows keeping me is best purely for a shield purpose.

however, there is that little voice in the back of your head. the one that says "you're a physical/social threat!" and "it's the (probable) last vote for premerge, why wouldn't they take out a threat???" - though i disagree with this logic in terms of how i feel/play orgs, you can never know until it's too late. personally, i'd be taking out a goat or someone who is playing a similar game as you. if you're a shield, take out a shield. if you're UTR social, take out another person who is UTR and social. you want to be the BEST at your role, and i don't think anyone is as big of a shield as me (atm, of course). maybe i'm overhyping my game (and p.s., in no way am i saying i'm playing a good game, i just mean physically im pretty dominant).

jake mentioned stephen being an endgame threat due to his social game and likeability. he (stephen) is someone i wouldn't mind taking out. i have no connection with him, and he has had a tendency to flip on alliances (confirmed by jake/miguel/ally; the TJ vote). it just seems too obvious.

as for my idol, i'm not sure. if the person i vote (stephen, whoever.) is idolled in any regard, i'm likely idolling. i am NOT leaving premerge with an idol - that's ugly. but it's a tribal with no advantage i fear most. i don't want to overthink it. i've wasted so many idols because i critiqued every little word + action. i want this game to be different. i'm totally using it tomorrow bc im a paranoid mess btw. but i truly would love to save this idol (if i'm safe, of course) for future use.

Speaking of merge, that's all up in the air for me right now. I still have no idea what my merge plan is.... I'd love to link up with Tim, Karthik, and Stephen but something tells me nothing is ever that simple. I can see a world where Tim, Karth, and Zach got extremely close. I can also see Tim's paranoia about me and Alyssa grow out of control and that's just something I'm going to have to deal with in this game. It's a fact.

I really want to end Zach's game FAST. I'm really afraid he's going to just keep winning immunities and that's going to suck.

Going forward I DO hope the trio of myself, Alyssa, and Stephen stick together but lord... I don't see that lasting very long either..

EPISODE 14 “Pippa and the Boys.” - Pippa

Can I just say: Best.  Results.  Ever. Johnny is an AMAZING guy.  A favorite through and through.  However, him going was the best result from that rock draw (although maybe Trace/Dom/Pippa would've been better).  And without him, Trace and Dom are just kinda there.  They don't pose any immediate threat. What has now come out of this tribal is also just overall better for my game.  Drew? trusts me more.  Steffen? trusts me more.  Sarah and Crow? trust me a lot but like idk if it's more lol.  Junior? trusts me.  Tommy? needs me rn.  Andrew?  Welll actually... So Andrew and I have now had a conversation about our prior "beef" and it turns out, it was just both of us overthinking.  I know Andrew is a definite threat to me and my game, however we now will have a working relationship that can hopefully further my game more.  And he can actually maybe vote for me/I can vote for him in the end if we can continue working together from this day forward.  I was open about my vote against him and my slight like BLAH about him, and we talked it out and we're okay now !   Now, I just need to talk to Dom and Trace, try and wrap their heads around my game and we'll be gucci.  If I can go deep with connections piled on connections and people wanting to kill each other over me?  That's gold. My names pippa and my confessional game is weak. So sarah just told me i play a great UTR game. IS that good? Idk but im not really being targetted. Im glad johnny went home in rocks last night. Wow we have SO MUCH to fuckin talk about okay where I do even start. I guess I could go with all of the messy ass strategizing that happened yesterday. So keep in mind I'm at a state fair basically all day and have to communicate to these MANIACS on shitty barn wifi for 5 hours and get home only just in time for tribal. Basically all the heroes were in and out of each others' pms all day deciding between Sarah, Brian, and Crow for the vote. I obviously do not want Crow going. I told this to Junior and I guess he assumed Crow was behind it so he started spreading that that was a plan and Crow got mad at me? But I'll say right here in confessionals that I did not drop Crow's name in that plan. But nonetheless the bird was suspicious. So blah blah damage control and it's like okay well Pippa and I were kinda thinking hmmm should we go for Trace or Johnny but like, it's too risky and we'll kill our games with the heroes. Life goes on yada yada I'm just sitting there stuffing my face with fried Oreos and suddenly Johnny drops into my pms and we're both just like it's 8 and we don't have an official vote so I suggest Johnny make a chat with just all the heroes to hash shit out and figure who we're voting. Now I knew before Johnny did, and I advised Junior don't. But he did! So! I fucking run to Junior and say play your damn idol because Johnny is really about to TRY. IT. And this is perfect because Junior could try getting the villains to vote out a threat like Johnny or Drew. But Junior says he doesn't have sway on the villains which is like DUH and I scream and I'm like idk try dude we have like 25 minutes! So he's telling me how he went to villains and got it onto Drew but told Sarah to vote Johnny and I'm freaking out just ever so slightly because I know I could possibly possibly possibly be the vote but it's w/e. And then Miss Sarah messages me at 9:01 asking who I voted and I'm like fuckin uuuuuuuuuuu Junior? I told Junior that I voted him to save face also. And I also told Pippa Junior was playing and idol so sorry Junior! But um yeah. Sarah is just like lol well Junior has an idol and I ask oh rip well who are they voting AND GIRL ISN'T ANSWERING BUT IS TALKING IN THE TRIBE CHAT. Naturally I begin to freak out, and on top of that Drew is going into full despair in my pms saying he feels something really bad coming. Sarah just knocked on my door in a grim reaper costume and just winked before walking away, Drew is having a full Dread Episode, Pippa is like nah you're good hold onto that idol boy, and Junior is like it's good I got the votes on Drew! I think... But yeah! I did... maybe. So obviously I am freaking the absolute fuck out and I just straight up go to Junior like uuuuuu did you tell anyone you're playing this idol and he said yeah and yes he told Sarah so HAHAHA. HAH. But it's fine right? There's no way they pulled a fast one and are just voting me. Right? :') Well tribal comes around and I'm on call with Pippa and she's saying it's fine. So Junior plays and Johnny is like oh fuck. Then Drew plays. And I'm like okay? Um. Yikes. And then Sarah plays some fuck shit that doesn't work and I'm way too stressed so I play my idol! And Junior gets 8 votes! And Drew gets 2! And I get 2! And like! HELLO? So to make a long mother fuckin story short... Johnny of all people is rocked out which was FANTASTIC. CHERRY ON TOP OF THE CAKE. He knew about the villains and the beauty idol so like he could go! Too strong. And he had to get blindsided soon anyway. So Johnny I love you dude and I actually gained way more of a liking to you than I already did from hosting you so you're awesome but WHEW. FAREWELL. And now it's the fallout. Honestly? That's the most pure euphoria I've ever felt in a single moment in a game. And after hearing all the info I have, I think I have this mostly figured out. I freak a little in the chat and Tommy tells me he voted Junior which would make sense because he got 8 votes. Sarah comes and tells me she didn't vote for me, and says that she knows I voted her which w/e be a Petty Betty™ but she says that maybe if someone told her who voted her then maybe she'd tell me who voted me and I think I finally convinced her it wasn't me because I said at this point I'd trade the info? But idk oh well. Also Crow doesn't come forward confirming or denying he voted me, and I approached Brian and he admitted he voted me. Which btw that was the first time we talked in a while, and it's also just some outside of the game things but I think we ultimately hashed everything out. Anyway, Junior voted Drew so my votes were Brian and one of Sarah or Crow. And the other voted Drew. And I'll be pissed if Crow voted me tbh. But we'll see. The thing is though, Crow said to Pippa and I that himself, Sarah, Brian, and Tommy were all on call and typed in Junior, and then stepped away from their computers or something. Which is a damn lie obviously. So I decided to look back at the merge chat during tribal for shits and giggles, and then the reactions of the villains when I played my idol in particular made shit click. They were pretty standard when Junior and Drew played, but when I played was when Crow, Brian, and Sarah started yelling about rocks. And in the back of my mind I didn't think of it much at first but I was just like okay I guess? And then Crow comes to my pms and say congrats on avoiding rocks which was also confusing. But it didn't hit me till after re reading the chat that they definitely split on purpose, and the villains knew that once I played that all of the votes were gonna be null. And they were gonna go to rocks. So now I have to keep an eye out on Crow. Because there's no way he didn't know this was happening. It's all just so sketchy and idk where to go from here, but I know I need Sarah out. She's just way too chaotic, and in a weird way she saved me by sketching me out at 9:01 but also she makes everything very chaotic. She's grown on me personally but she's wild to play with. I guess I can just make a confessional on what happens now because I have shit to say about talks I had with Steffen and Drew. And this confessional got thicc as fuck so. hi loves it's been a while! after i went through my therapy sessions, I decided that it was time to pick up the pieces of my emotional stability and make a fragile little glass ball! and then guess what happened! these fucking fools shattered it. So after merge, i came in thinking lil crow could blend into the shadows and take a day to relax! but then crow is told he has to pick a side immediately and vote out Kendall w/ Johnny/Pippa/Andrew or Junior w/ Sarah/Brian/Drew crow voted Junior cuz junior is a snake that crow has warned others about! junior stayed! kendall went. i was in minority. so after that, i ghosted the hoes. I was over it, i had more important things than these people, but then im alerted that its "me or brian" HELL NO. OH DONT U EVEN DARE TRY AND TARGET ME AND MY SON so crow caused a little bit of chaos with bullshit lies. he told andrew/pippa that he heard they wanted him out (which he didn't!) and then told hinted to johnny that the heroes were cracking (which probably was true but crow had no proof!) ALSO, he threw out trace's name for the lolz! then after I sat back and let them rat me out (cuz i know they're all rats!) they caused their own paranoia, erasing mine and Brian's name from the slate. =) in a last ditch effort to have comfort in numbers, a group was formed to vote out the ultimate snake, junior. 8 minutes b4 tribal junior comes to me asking to work with me and build trust and yadada and knowing there was a good chance he had an idol, crow played phony and told him that we needed to keep the villains strong! (thus protecting his core of brian and sarah). he agreed and suggested to vote drew, so i pretended to agree! then when junior, drew, and andrew pulled idols out of their asses, i sat pretty knowing I received no votes - but nervous about the inevitable rocks. then i drew a rock and production really TRIED me by putting me at #2 but im better than them and survived! so now im sitting in final 11 with my besties and in a somewhat decent position for a change! =)

Andrew is a paranoid ass hoe, first he thinks the second vote for him came from Sarah, then Drew....when in actuality I was the one who tried blindsiding him last tribal, I swear at this point this boy is spilling all this anti-Drew tea to me and now I'm just reveling in it because I still know Drew has an idol and when Andrew feels its time to strike, tbh it'll be time to use that idol on Drew and destroy Andrew in the process, making Drew a bigger target and next to go tbh, but right now we just need Sarah to use her idol, then take a villain out and our villainous plot will be in motion, I like evil

So Pippa or myself might be dying. Drew voted me according to Junior along with Brian who I knew bc Drew is still convinced I gave Crow the idol which yes I did but. Leave me alone! Honestly just trying to get Sarah out this round but she has that weird reset idol and also could have a merge idol so idk man. I kinda have a bad feeling about tonight and if I get these double digits again catch me going into a major depressive episode! Trace and I decided on Sarah early this morning and seemingly got Dom and Steffen on board? Dom I guess is hero strong and Steffen... I really hope he wouldn't vote me out. Or even Pippa. And then Junior wants Sarah out so like here we go I guess! Idk what the fuck Drew is gonna do because he's a snake. Sarah requested us working together today but it was bullshit. Lmao! Farewell! I'm probably dead. Or Pippa is. Last weird thing is I guess is I told Crow it's me or myself (played dumb about if it could be Pippa) and he said he wasn't letting either of those things happening? Idk! If Crow can work some magic and save me that's fine. Idk man. A bird will either save me or kill me tonight. Or Drew. Or Sarah. Pippa? BEYONCE? I'm so tired can we just have the tribal already? Also if Steffen flips I'm snapping his neck.

So if everyone votes the way they say they are, no weird items are played, and Crow throws his vote, then it could really go to rocks. Fuck! 15 minutes till my imminent death at 11th place :')

With Isaac eliminated, there really isn't anywhere for any of us to hide. I talked with Jess and Alyssa and all 3 of us really wanted there to be a merge here. Unfortunately, in the wise words of The Rolling Stones, you can't always get what you want.

I trust Jess. She said she'd go to rocks for me at this past vote if she had to and I think she was telling the truth. We have allies from old Takagi we're just waiting to re-connect with and possibly take over this joint! I've worked with her in successful plans and in failures. We've been allies at our most uncertain points in the game and we came out the other end of it in the numbers.

But I trust Alyssa too. Really. When Jess was sent to the basement, we came up with the plan to make Isaac vote Jess instead of me, which he was originally planning to do. In a way, I betrayed Jess there in order to make sure I wasn't a target at Tribal Council. Alyssa is a good player, and I could really use an ally like her.

It's at the point where losing this Immunity Challenge is bad for me no matter what happens afterwards. There's no possible elimination from this tribe that is good for my game. If we lose, I'm going to either lose one of my closest allies, or my own game could very well end.

I can’t believe it’s day 15 already. Isaac left so that’s another orinigal Kato gone, my only concern is that every Tagaki member will stick together but there has to be cracks, especially since Karthik has told me with who he did not talk so I could use that if I need it in a future merge, me and Zach have continued to get along so maaaybe I would be fine if we ever went to tribal.

WE JUST WON and I maaaay have just made merge witg being in Final 11 and whewww, hopefully we merge but even if we don't I feel like I will be safe, me and Zach talked about what could happen if we lose and we both said that we were NOT gonna vote each other and I'm happy to be playing with him rn, especially since he has become my new #1 since Fede's elimination.

Ugh Zach beast moded again, talk about challenge threat he’ll definitely go soon after merge. As soon as possible if I get any say. So I’m in the basement, and the teddy bear betrayed me and apparently I got a finger boo-boo and thats knocked me out for my entire time down there :/ Also Stephen the Lesser didn’t go home last round rip. I’m worried about Luke. At least if he goes I know Ally isn’t on my side and I didn’t have to find that out when she votes me out.

Zach wins immunity once again for the tribe all by himself....my wig. This guy isn't letting me go to the tribal council :| Gosh, this is getting so boring for me now. I am just locked up here and this doesnt feel like playing Survivor at all. I am ready for the merge and hoping for some crazy fun stuff to follow it. I have consciously underplayed my social game with Miguel and a bit with Jake so that I dont appear as a threat when we merge. Uhhhhh thats it, bye!

I’m finding myself at tribal once again, at this point I have been to almost every tribal this season, but if I’m remembering correctly, have avoided getting a single vote at any tribal so far. I’m feeling okay as Ally and I seem to be on the same page for this vote and therefore have control of the vote. I’d rather an og Takagi go home so we can keep the og kato numbers at a good point for merge. I’m a tad nervous that I could be blindsided tonight at tribal but I’m hoping my loyal allies don’t decide to go down that route, we have been working well together and I don’t want this to end for me, I feel that I’m playing this game really well as I’m showing a new side of myself each week. I’m so close to the merge and I’m really hoping to make it to the merge this time around. The game continues and I’m ready for whatever comes next.

The fact that I've made it to Day 16 is really astounding given the fact that I've been playing worse than I thought. The bright point is me and Ally are hopefully gonna live through this tribal! If all goes to plan, we've hopefully flipped Luke and Stephen will be going home. Would be nice to have a takagi idol but oh well :)))))

Not having to worry about a challenge to Tribal Council has been really refreshing. I feel really comfortable predicting that the merge is coming up soon. F11 is a great time to merge since it makes since whether Final Tribal has 2 or 3 finalists. My plan then will be re-connecting with my old Takagi allies plus Alyssa so we can take down that original Kato alliance she told me and Jess about. That will only get me so far though.

Once the merge happens, I'll be a lot less worried for my own safety. I honestly don't think I'm seen as a huge threat right now in any of my alliances. I need to pay attention to how the people I'm planning to send to jury perceive me and my allies though. Most of them have never talked to me before so I'm worried in that regard. However, I've been pretty good at forging new alliances in this game. The merge is my last chance to make some positive first impressions and I plan to do just that.

Pretty sure the pressure of this challenge aged me a good 10 years. It was a do or die kind of a competition for my tribe. If we would have lost I would have most likely had to take out Alyssa. If I kept her over an original tribe member it'd be basically death for me in this game.

BUT we didn't lose so.......ha. However, the more I think about it.. the more I KIND of want to keep her around since she's a target? But I've also done that before and she won the game. I'm a M-E-S-S.

I'm pretty sure merge is this upcoming round and I don't think I have a gameplay for it. I think I will most likely have to reconnect with Tim somehow and constantly reassure him that I'M NOT WITH ALYSSA. Then I gotta kill Zach in this game somehow. I can see him winning all of the competitions going forward unless it's a luck based competition... I'm going to have to adapt and that's that.

I don't know if the basement would even be considered a thing come merge but I can see Stephen W pulling off the unthinkable and found something...

So I also talked to Zach about a potential tribal and I mentioned Miguel but he was hesitant and asked why him. I simply stated that I like Jake more lol. But we ended up WINNING!!!!!!!! And omg Zach got a fucking 100 and carried the hell out of my flop score of 26.

i'm going to answer your questions: 1 - i'm not sure who'll leave. i wouldn't be surprised to see stephen or luke have the idol. i honestly... couldn't predict it. 2 - merge is either gonna be after tonights tribal or final 10. BAM! 3 - i have one. i think one of alyssa/stephen/luke have kato idol. if alyssa, the bitch has two idols. 4 - fuck the basement. i wanna go there one day. 5 - this game is v well hosted i'm sorry yawls aint gettin confs ?? 6 - sister only got 2 more rounds at most so.

FUCKING FINALLY. If we legit went to tribal with 3 people I have no doubt I would’ve been fucked. I need him once we get to merge to face the people who tried to get me out at the beginning of this game.
