The graphics were so good it fooled me into thinking they could somehow pull off making a 1:1 port of Killer Instinct to that system.

I was disappointed that it didn't turn out to be the case and KI was still scaled down quite a bit but the gameplay was still spot on and I got good practice playing it with an arcade joystick!

There was a Mortal Kombat game in development as a launch title exclusively for the Ultra 64 before it was scrapped in favor of MK Trilogy later on after the console was renamed to Nintendo 64??

One minor downside to the modern rerelease of Killer Instinct is that.. probably because of licensing they removed the Ultra 64 release teaser video in the attract mode.. I would have liked to have it for nostalgic and historical purposes!

Tragically, Tumblr doesn't allow enough options to include every game, so Dream Land 1 was removed </3 (and tragically I couldn't include an option for the spinoffs either </3 )
