mean thoughts about tumblr's reaction to the movie conclave (2024), irregardless of the content of said movie which i haven't seen:

1. you just need need to put a bunch of guys in the same shot for a couple of hours and a tumblr fandom will spontaneously arise, it truly does not matter the setting!

2. most people on tumblr definitely did not grow up in a country where the public TV broadcaster churned out horrible fictionalized retellings of the lives of saints & famous priests without pause (& learned how to steer clear of that shit). I'm sure the movie is good and not at all like the stuff that passes as content on RAI but I truly cannot help an immediate disgusted reaction to anything set near the Vatican

3. hilarious to see people finding out about Sergio Castellitto in 2024
