Top 7 Errors UI/UX Designers Frequently Commit
The excellent UI UX design is a crucial component of the company. It can efficiently lead customers through worthwhile interactions and considerably increase conversion rates.
You should definitely be aware of the typical and uncommon errors made on various designs if you work as a UI designer or plan to enrol in UI/UX Design Courses so that you may better assist your clients in achieving their objectives.
You'll be far more likely to build a website that satisfies your client's requirements for it to be "simple to use but makes a huge impression and leaves viewers with the appropriate impression of our firm so they buy lots of our things, forever and ever" if you know what to keep in mind.
To make it easier for you to prevent errors in the future, we've identified the 7 most frequent errors.
Poor Color Choices
A design suffers when the wrong colours are used. This subject might be highly fuzzy and personal. Given that colours convey meaning, you must take your client's brand and audience into account. Additionally, you must consider people who are colour blind.
Ignoring Additional Devices.
In today's world, this ought never to occur. Because we live in an imperfect world, some rookie designers nevertheless have a propensity to overlook the fact that a significant portion of people only accesses the web from their smartphones. So for rookie designers, it is recommended that to take advanced UI/UX Design Courses always.
Unsenseful Navigation
Your website should constantly live up to visitor expectations and have very clear navigation. Put the website components where people will expect to see them.
Lack of content in design.
It's crucial to realise that the content of a website plays a vital role. However, while developing with Lorem Ipsum, designers often forget that the content they've chosen won't be the final version and won't likely fit properly or appear to be empty.
Unexpected Buttons (CTAs)
The majority of navigating is done through buttons, therefore stay away from buttons that are too small, difficult to notice, or placed incorrectly.
Bad Spacing and Padding
An excellent user interface should be neat and uncomplicated so that users can quickly grasp it. Your padding and spacing are important because of this. Ironically, this is also a typical UI mistake.
Too Many Clicks
There will be more lost sales the more clicks a user has to make before reaching the "buy" or "sign up" button. The clicking error is related to the time it takes to discover the form as well as the length of the forms. If a website requires visitors to sign in before using it, for example, make sure that sign-in is prominently displayed so that users can quickly enter their information and press the enter key with just one click if auto-fill is enabled.
Conclusion
The best user experience (UX) design isn't about beautiful parallax or amazing animations. Keep in mind the fundamentals, such as simple access to pertinent content, responsiveness, readability, and navigation. On top of that, there will be beauty and creativity.
We advise taking UI/UX Design Courses so that errors never get onto your website.

Meet #Boomerang Mayank Singh
An employee who leaves and then returns to a company is often called a boomerang – they launch from their experience to later return to their starting point. For our many #OdessaBoomerangs, they liken their decision to come back to “returning home”.
Meet Mayank Singh, who boomeranged back to his dream job of building products at Odessa. He is passionate about translating business needs into dynamic products in order to transform the way customers work. And he is doing exactly that.
His first act at Odessa
Mayank Singh was an experienced Business Analyst when he joined Odessa in 2010. “Odessa had around 100 employees spread across offices in Bangalore and Philadelphia at that time. I had the opportunity to translate business requirements into functional solutions for a diverse group of customers – so much of that work done is still part of our platform today,” said Mayank. As the company grew, so did Mayank’s scope of work. He began to manage and mentor a team of business analysts, helping to train up the next wave of customer whisperers. “My background in enterprise implementation was very useful to call upon and help define best practices for how we worked.”
As with many Odessans, Mayank was able to grow and build a career path that aligned with his interests. “I remember being shown the Asset Profile UI in my initial interview and being asked to create a functional specification document in an hour,” said Mayank. “The gauntlet was laid out. It was pretty clear to me from there that I could learn a lot.” It was all the opportunities he was given to learn and be pushed outside of his comfort zone that kept Mayank at Odessa for four years.
The Boomerang journey begins
In 2014, the startup boom was making waves in India. “My career was all about delivering enterprise systems for banking and financial services up until this point, but I really wanted to explore the world beyond,” said Mayank. He made the decision to jump into e-commerce with one of the fastest-growing companies in Bengaluru – Flipkart. Now on the other side of the software development lifecycle, Mayank was learning more about product design and technology development, taking the designs he was used to concepting and building them into reality.
“The challenges were different – supply chain management, process improvement, and development. I was able to build upon my experience and add new tools to my arsenal,” said Mayank. While enjoying the broader experience, Mayank still realized that there was something special about the Odessa culture that he missed.
Act Two: Back at Odessa
After two and a half years at Flipkart, Mayank decided to make his way back to Odessa as a Product Manager. “I missed it! I reached out to my former manager and was welcomed back with open arms,” he said. “I immediately jumped back into solving complex techno-functional business challenges, learning from customers and business teams. It felt like coming home.”
A lot of things had stayed the same and a lot had changed. Odessa had the same tight-knit workforce and innovative culture that Mayank remembered. "In my time away, Odessa had also assumed a more dominant position in the market, going to market with a platform-led, future-forward strategy. More nimble and agile than ever, the teams were delivering a techno-functional suite of solutions to help customers be competitive and successful," he said.
“Today, I am part of an awesome team that manages product operations and components of our functional platform roadmap,” said Mayank. “I am surrounded by talented, driven, friendly colleagues – genuinely, some of the nicest people you will ever meet.” Mayank has been back with Odessa for more than four years in his second act, now in the role of AVP, Product Management. “My overall career trajectory has been uniquely my own. I receive incredible support from mentors and managers, and I strive to provide the same to others. I never want to stop learning and I’m thankful for a company that supports me in that.”
Advice for #OdessaAlumni
What advice does Mayank have for other #OdessaAlumni out there that may be interested in a return to the company? He says, “Sometimes the best journeys are the ones that come back full circle to where you started! If you’re open to making a comeback as an #OdessaBoomerang, keep in touch with your connections. We are doing big things and there is a place for you.”

Samsung brings Good Vibes to deafblind and vision impaired
Samsung Good Vibes enables deafblind to have two-way communication with their caregivers, family and friends whilst RelĂșmÄno is a visual aid application for people with low vision
Samsung, one of India’s biggest and most trusted consumer electronics and smartphones brand, has introduced two unique solutions—Good Vibes and RelĂșmÄno—that will help provide a strong communication tool the deafblind and enable people with low vision to see better.
Good Vibes, developed in India, enables the deafblind to have a two-way communication with their caregivers and loved ones using their smartphones. The Good Vibes app uses Morse code to convert vibrations into text or voice and vice-versa.
The app has two different user interfaces (UI). One interface has an invisible UI for the deafblind, which uses vibrations, taps and gestures, whilst the other has a visible UI, a standard chat interface, for the caregiver. With the deafblind interface, a deafblind person uses a combination of dots and dashes to send their messages. The standard interface allows users to type or use voice to send messages to the deafblind. The text or voice is received as vibrations in Morse code that the deafblind can interpret.
The Good Vibes app can be downloaded from the brand‘s Galaxy Store and will be made available on Google Play Store for all other Android smartphone users soon.
RelĂșmÄno, which was developed by Samsung employees as part of the Company’s C-Lab programme globally, is a visual aid application for people with low vision. It enables them to see images clearer by magnifying and minimising images, highlighting the image outline, adjusting colour contrast and brightness, and reversing colour.
As part of its Citizenship Initiatives, Samsung has partnered with Sense India, a not-for-profit dedicated to improve the lives of the deafblind in the country, to take Good Vibes to the deafblind across the country.
Samsung has so far conducted training workshops for Sense India educators and deafblind individuals along with their caregivers in Delhi and Bengaluru. It is now providing Samsung Galaxy A20 smartphones, with Good Vibes installed, to the not-for-profit, which will distribute it to deafblind and their caregivers.
Samsung India has launched a digital video that shows the impact Good Vibes can have on the life of a deafblind individual. The video showcases a deafblind girl who shares a special bond with her mother even though they cannot talk to each other. But when distance comes between them, her mother seeks a new way to communicate with her daughter.
Over the last few months of training with the deafblind and their caregivers, the basic functionality of the app was tested and fine-tuned through their feedback. The notifications, text sizing, duration and interval of vibrations were improved upon after these workshops.
For RelĂșmÄno, Samsung has partnered with the National Association for the Blind (NAB) Delhi. It will provide Samsung Gear VR and Galaxy Note9 smartphones to NAB Delhi, and will also provide training on how to use them. NAB will use RelĂșmÄno in classrooms where students with low vision using these devices will be able to see better, helping them improve their learning abilities.
“Samsung uses both its innovation and global network to create positive change, responding to people’s needs around the world and helping them to live better lives, with more choice, freedom and greater possibilities. We are happy we were able to develop technologies such as Good Vibes and RelĂșmÄno that will help improve quality of life of the deafblind and people with low vision, allowing them to become more aware of the world around them and better integrated with society,” said Peter Rhee, Corporate Vice President, Samsung India.
“Good Vibes is going to create a platform where our society will be able to communicate with deafblind people using smartphones. Samsung is doing exactly what it believes in ‘Do What You Can’t’. We are glad to see Samsung leveraging its technology prowess to build meaningful solutions that help society. At Sense India, we have been working with deafblind for their betterment and development through comprehensive training. Good Vibes will help them connect with a larger number of people around them, something they were unable to do so far,” said Parag Namdeo, Head, Advocacy and Networks, Sense India.
“This app is useful for my son Waqar and he is using it independently now. Waqar’s dream is to become a teacher and this app may help him to communicate and understand another person (his students), which will support him in daily living and learning,” said Nargis Shaikh, mother of Waqar Shaikh, a deafblind student who has received training on Good Vibes. Waqar was able to write and understand whole sentences using Morse code on the Good Vibes app in only a few training sessions.
Samsung was a five-time winner of the World Branding Awards in the Consumer Electronics – Television category.
