Trying out YouTube again

I'm finally going to finish editing my YouTube videos. I filmed them over three months ago, and I have no good reason to just leave them to rot.

I genuinely enjoyed editing the only three vids up on my channel. I'm really proud of them, and of myself for seeing a project through. Even if they are just silly. I was on a weekly uploading schedule with just those three vids, and I really wanted to stick to it.

But I went out with a friend and made a video with the two of us. He gave me all the footage and basically said "do what you want, I trust you." I was so excited to have all this support from someone close to me.... and so I panicked. I can't let myself have nice things. So I saved all of his videos, put them in a file with my videos... and didn't touch them for THREE MONTHS.

Since then I've been diving deeper and deeper into my own depression and anxiety. I tried making a couple smaller, easier videos to quickly edit and pop up, because I thought that would get me back in the mood. But now I just have MORE unfinished projects.

That same friend keeps giving me advice and more vid ideas, and encouraging me to not give up. But its like love and support and positivity chokes me up.

If you believe I'm capable of good, you'll hurt more when I fail.

He worked hard to drive both of us to the next state over for this video, he spent his hard earned money on both of us, and recorded so much footage of everything he could think of just to trust ME in the end. All the effort was for ME and MY CHANNEL, because he believed in me.

If I finish the video, it probably won't live up to his expectations. But if I never finish it, he'll never know if I failed him and wasted his time. Schrödingers Video.

But I decided to turn that around tonight. It will only take an hour or two. If it sucks asshole, he'll love it more than if I never do anything at all. Being an artist and displaying it online will feel so good, even if it is terrifying.

I'm writing this so that I feel like doing it is an obligation. I can't get myself to do it for me, so I need to make a promise to random strangers. Idk if anyone will read this, it's a longass diary entry. But if you do read it, I now owe you this video within a day or two. I've trapped myself into a deadline lol

I'm freaking outttttt

I finally finished a video after 6 damn months and it's taking FOREVER to upload. I was hoping it would go up really quick so I wouldn't have time to doubt myself. Like hitting send real quick after stressing about a risky text.

But now it's just slowwwwwwly going up, so I'm questioning the entire thing. It might suck, I don't even know!

So Halloween is my favorite time of the year, and I'm trying to make a shit ton of Halloween themed content on YouTube. Here's some screenshots from two of my upcoming vids: Halloween Themed Cocktails and Ghost Hunting

I'm trying to make them really fun, funny and chill. If anyone has any suggestions for cheap or free Halloween video ideas, I would LOVE to hear them! I have a ton of ideas, but they're expensive so they have to wait until next year. So let me know what you would like to see that won't cost too much ❤️

Personal Blog post: My YouTube Video

I'm so close to being done with editing, but I don't think I can make it under 40 minutes 😫 is that too long for a video of two friends hanging out and eating chicken? I tried to cut out as much as I could, but everything left is stuff I want to keep.

It feels so good to start editing again. I can't wait to make these final touches and get it uploaded. I want to make more vids, but this one just kept feeling like a mountain I needed to climb first.

Maybe 40 minutes isnt too long. I mean, I like it... it makes me laugh watching it....

I prefer longer videos that let me feel like I'm hanging out with my favorite youtubers. If someone I watch makes a 2 hr long vid, I'm seriously so happy. So maybe I should be what I like.
