Alright alright I just wanna have this discussion with you Nivi bc I know fans like to tussle… 💀 but what are your thoughts about a starting lineup change?

I want an Paige-Azzi-Ash lineup. Like KC to the bench. And this isn’t me shitting on KC bc I actually like her lol. I just think that with Ash in the starting lineup, Paige would be able to play the 1 and Azzi the 2, and that’s what really matters. Like we shouldn’t be catering to KC. KC dictating the offense and being on ball as the 1 just does not work lol.

We’ve seen how good Paige and Ash also play together (besides that Ole Miss game where 3/5 of P’s turnovers were bc of miscommunication with Ash lol). I also think Ash is a better shooter than KC. Like the open shots, especially the 3s that KC were getting, Ash would’ve drained them.

I know that KC is a better defender than Ash, but I think the offensive production we’d get from a Paige-Azzi-Ash trio outweighs what we’d give up defensively.

LMAO this was long asf. But the postgame interview with Creighton’s HC got me thinking bc he explicitly said the gameplan was for KC to take those shots (and hopefully miss), and that’s exactly what happened. Would love to hear your take on this Nivi! Do you think Geno has the balls/brains to make this shift in the starting lineup tho?

Bestie I agree with literally everything you've said. I think a Paige-Azzi-Ash-Sarah-Jana is definitely our best lineup. And actually, I think having KC at the one isn't even benefitting her because he wants her to dictate then offense like Nika did when KC and Nika are completely different players. This team has consistently looked better with Paige at one and the best KC has looked all season, was the game before at Villanova where she played off-ball as the two.

And yeah I think Ash just fits in better with Paige and Azzi because like you said, it allows them to play their natural positions and even though she herself would be playing a little out of position at the 3, I actually think she fits in quite well at that position. And she absolutely would've made more of the shots than KC did but she also wouldn't be being left open like that which would make life so much easier for Paige and Azzi in that sense as well. Also her rebounding prowess would be really helpful for Sarah and Jana.

KC is the better defender of course but I don't think that makes up for what she's not brining to the table in offense in comparison to Ash. But the main thing is that ultimately we should be catering out offense to have Paige and Azzi playing their natural positions and that doesn't work with a KC lineup.

Having said all of that, I've also resigned myself to the fact that none of this going to happen. KC didn't transfer to come off the bench and Geno is stubborn as fuck, so I just hope if he doesn't wanna do a full change, that he at least moves KC to the 3.
