Gangaikonda Cholapuram is a town located in Jayankondam, Ariyalur, Tamil Nadu, India. It became the capital of the Chola dynasty in c. 1025 during the reign of Rajendra Chola I, and served as the Chola capital for around 250 years. The town is about approximately 125 kilometres (78 mi) northeast of Tiruchirapalli international airport. As of 2014, the ancient city exists as a heritage town in the Ariyalur district of Tamil Nadu, India. The great temple of Brihadeeswarar Temple at this place is next only to the Brihadisvara temple at Thanjavur in its monumental nature and surpasses it in sculptural quality It has been recognised as a World Heritage site by UNESCO

Siva Ganga Gardens, Tanjore

Siva Ganga Garden is placed between Brihadeswarar Temple and Schwartz Church, Siva Ganga Garden is not only a very popular park but is also a famous tourist attraction in Thanjavur. Placed within the complex of Vijayanagar fort, it is quite close to the Thanjavur Palace. The park consists of a huge square tank, constructed in the 16th century that was the water resource for the palace. The garden was built by one of Nayaka rulers, Sevappa Nayaka. In the modern times, it is a popular picnic spot.

Vijayanagar Fort

This famous tourist spot is located nearly 2 km from the Brahadeeswara temple. This majestic fort was built by Nayaks and partly by Maratha rulers during the early 1550 AD. The fort houses a Tanjore Palace, Sangeetha Mahal, Library and an exquisite art gallery that includes many sculptures and paintings.

Punnainallur Mariamman Temple

he Punnai Nallur Mariamman temple is a Hindu temple located at Thanjavur in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. The temple of goddess Mariamman is one of the famous temples around Thanjavur District. The temple is located in the outskirts of Thanjavur. Originally the Amman was in the form of white-ant hill (Putru). The Great saint Sadhasiva Brammendra swamy shaped the white-ant hill (Putru) into a form of Mariamman and also installed a powerful Chakra.This temple located in Punnai Nallur, which is popularly known as Mariamman Kovil, Thanjavur and it is 5 km from Thanjavur Old Bus stand

After covering these key places we will proceed back to Kumbakonam for night stay

Day 3: Kumbakonam Kumbeswarar Temples and 3 Navagraha Temples

On the thrid day our cab driver will pick you up from your hotel in the morning and will take you to the famous Kumbakonam Aadhi Kumbeswarar Kovil to have Darshan of Lord Shiva. After that you will proceed towards Suryanar Temple (Sun) located in suryanar Koil, from their towards the Sukra Temple (Venus) located in Kanjanur passing through the most powerful Saneeswara Temple (saturn) located in Thirunallar. After that we will be returning back to Kumbakonam for your night stay.

Day 4:  3 Navagraha Temples

On the fourth day our cab driver will pick you up from your hotel in the morning and will proceed towards the Kethu Temple located in Keezhaperumpallam. From their you will be travelling towards the Budhan Temple (Mercury) located in Thiruvenkadu, and then to  the Sevvai Temple  (Mars) located in Vaitheeswaran kovil. After that we will be returning back to Kumbakonam for your night stay.

Day 5: Swamimalai Temple, 3 Navagraha Temples, Uppiliappan Temple

On the fifth day our cab driver will pick you up from your hotel in the morning and will proceed towards Swamimalai where you will be visiting the famous Lord Murugan Temple (Swamimalai Murugan Temple). From their you will be travelling towards The Guru Temple (Jupiter) located in Alangudi, and then to the Chandran Temple (Moon) located in Thingaloor. After that we will be proceeding to The Rahu Temple  and the famous Uppiliappan Temple (Lord Balaji Temple) located in Thirunageswaram before returning back to Kumbakonam for your night departure or stay.

DAY 2 : Journey to Palani and Madurai Heritage Tour

Conclude your breakfast and embark on an exploration of the rich cultural heritage of Madurai.
