Top betrayal of websites & where people migrated to
That I know of right now.
YouTube. Community Guideline Strikes & DMCAs, & moar bad things. Go to Odysee now.
[tumblr] (formerly). Deleted & purged 69420. Go to idk, 888blr, and Twitter, and Newgrounds, and any Mastodon instances out there. Unbetrayed!! 69420 is back!!! But the damage has been done.
Twitter. Wait, what again? No, I forgot what Elon Musk did? Uh.... I still... idk... well let's say... did not make things better for all part (just few make betters are not considered enough), damn.. what is it?!. Go to idk any Fediverse like Mastodon or whatever it is. Also bot account or whatever API was that I forgor,... paid, coz spammers.
What was this Minecraft Launcher?. Lead dev gone rogue and deleted contributors, could possible lead to malware commit. Go to Prism Launcher.
Ubuntu. Uhhh... proprietary blobs increasing and more ironic proprietarisms (Snap is proprietary), and one example sauce here this. Go to different Ubuntu forks or maybe jump to another diffferent Linux Distro like Arch, btw.
VRChat. Implemented Easy Anti-Cheat instead of officializing community fixes like Anti-crash, anti-exploits, etc. etc. Go to different VR social media, like ChilloutVR. This is also Unity based VR social media, with mods allowed and many community patch and fixes (yes, mods) turned official. Heck, 69420 is even allowed, with a free DLC provided!!! No kidding!!! If you want to add me, same, JOELwindows7 & I was wearing BZ Protogen right now. Oh, one more thing. The Premium account is buy once, unlock forever!!! In VRChat, there is only subscription (temporary buy). There is also NEOS VR, which is Unreal Engine, I think.. idk... huh, no Godot VR social media?! Aw man..
Reddit. API is now paid because API does not serve them money through those intrusive ads in the original interface (effectively making maintenance way too expensive as lots of users use them, & it no longer worth it). Go to [tumblr], Lemmy (& maybe any Mastodon instances). See r/Save3rdPartyApps. Many subreddits gone privated in protest. Some come back, others forever. Some again restricted like mine. Basically private but still can be accessed, just no comment, no post, or neither. Fun fact, because of this, Reddit admin ironically active eradicating this protest by force removing mods and handing it over to somebody else who will, especially to basically force them public again. I mean, yeah, it's egregious, peck neck 💀, privated no access anymore. Your fault, spez. Why has Private in 1st place? Just restricted & public that's enough. And you yeeted their hard work away because of this? There is a better way bruh! Don't yeet mods and replace them, they'll further damage the subreddits, no idea what to do with them! Instead, if you want, just set them Restricted, keep mods, wtf man?!?!?!?!?!? Ugh, very awry.
Okay that's all I know, thancc for attention

I think I've seen headcanon or theories about pretty much any preference imaginable for them... but did someone dare to ask the really big question? What Linux distro would each of them choose?
Soap: Open Suse Tumbleweed. Reliable, state-of-the-art, nice, easy to use, and has unique features. And he would love the linux-centric cover songs Suse produces. Seriously, Google it.
Ghost: Arch. Because the man wears a skull mask, of course he would use Arch (btw). DIY distro that gives you control over pretty much everything. If you use Arch, you're either mad, or you really know your shit (and are mad).
Price: Debian. Somewhat old-fashioned, but rock solid, time-proven classic that became the foundation of many other popular distros (such as Ubuntu).
Gaz: Fedora. Cutting-edge, innovative, with a very involved community.

🌐 Generation Equality: Empowering Change Through Tradition and Progress
Our systems are shaped by relationships and power dynamics that influence how we move through spaces and access resources. Across various cultural frameworks, stereotypes, and traditional roles, individuals and groups are assigned roles in hierarchical structures – from rulers like presidents, chiefs, and mayors, to tribes, clubs, societies, and religious or recreational forums. Within these structures, women have long been assigned specific societal roles through a patriarchal lens, dictating behaviors, dress codes, and economic access.
🌱 Ubuntu and the Legacy of Community Care
Growing up in South Africa (eMzansi, Azania), I saw women – often silently – playing critical roles within households and communities. They nurtured families, upheld family values, and extended care to others, as I witnessed with my own grandmother. She went beyond her family duties, ensuring neighbors had access to medications and giving from her own salary, groceries, and even secondhand clothing. This spirit of Ubuntu – the African philosophy of community and mutual care – thrives today through nonprofits and philanthropic efforts working toward sustainable development worldwide.
👩🏾🦱 Redefining Womanhood and Leadership
Reflecting on these legacies, I’m inspired by how women’s roles have evolved, yet still hold echoes of resilience and leadership. Just this morning, I saw a video of a South African artist (Ms Level) performing (Dear Babawomntwanami) on a rural street, wearing traditional royal attire – a leopard skin with umqhele and ibheshu traditionally donned by kings and chiefs. Her choice defied typical attire for women (isidwaba), symbolizing her strength and independence as she sang about her life’s challenges, especially as a single mother forced to take on traditionally male roles.
💫 Celebrating Innate Power
Her performance felt almost spiritual. She waved her arms, fully embracing her power, taking up space, and leading her household with strength and pride. Despite societal expectations that often see women as secondary citizens, this artist showcased her authority and pride. This powerful imagery resonated in a world where women are still disproportionately vulnerable to gender-based violence, human trafficking, and crime – realities often exacerbated even with the awareness generated by social media and democratic access to information.
👑 Claiming Royal Identity
In this moment, she asserted herself, not just as a community or family leader, but as a proud, independent woman. Donning royal attire, she boldly embodied her identity for all to see – a modern-day proclamation that women can and should stand proudly in their power, asserting their roles as essential leaders within their families, communities, and the world.

So I got my new laptop all up and running and after that I felt comfortable wiping and reinstalling the OS on my old laptop. It's a purple HP stream which has been running on Ubuntu 16 for like eight years or something. The touchpad has always been weird, so I've had tap-to-click disabled for pretty much that entire time, which made it work fine until recently when a) touchpad motion started glitching and I had to keep finding new ways to get it to reset and start behaving reasonably and b) the left click button started to wear out, probably from overuse, and stop registering clicks. So I was like "oh this machine is wearing out, it's on its last legs anyway, it's time to replace it" and anyway I like having a backup laptop that still mostly works, and the pink HP stream no longer counts because I killed its battery. I should hand that one in for recycling soon.
For a while I've had it in my mind that my next laptop was going to be a framework one, and maybe I could make it last longer because of the repairability factor. What actually triggered the purchase was the fact that the purple HP stream stopped getting updates for firefox on 16 LTS, and its specs are too low to upgrade to a later version of Ubuntu Desktop. Then the streaming services started refusing to work on the old firefox version.
The framework 13 model I built is great for streaming! The extra power really helps it stay smooth.
Anyway once I had that all set up and working, I looked at my old machine and was like "okay upgrading straight to desktop 22 is not going to work on this colorful toy of a laptop so I am going to try wiping the whole thing and replacing it with Ubuntu mate 22."
Well, now tap to click works fine, so the button wearing out is not such a big deal! There must be better drivers or something.
I chose a minimal install to save space, loaded most of my old files back on but no music, and I have 9gb remaining that I can choose what to do with. I could probably get both GIMP and LibreOffice on here, but the problem with that is then I start producing files. LibreOffice files are probably fine but GIMP ones can eat the space fast. I'm going to skip rhythmbox and do all audio things on my new laptop for now. I think I'll wait on the other downloads until I find I want them. It'll probably come up soon.
I downloaded redshift, because mate doesn't seem to have the night light utility that desktop 22 comes with, but it's not working. I might try and figure out how to fix it or I might just suffer through the blue light. It depends.
Anyway I think this purple one is going to stay as my default writing and fiddling around on the internet laptop for a while yet, so I can save the new one for streaming and other more processing intensive activities. Today I was watching a stream on discord on the new laptop and chatting about it on the old one! That was nice.
I've been too busy to write what with computer issues and helping my friend move, but it seems like those things have involved enough creativity to keep me from going bonkers so far! Still, I'm going to try to set aside some time for writing tomorrow after work, especially if I can't get any done the rest of tonight.

can i have, uhhm, uhh
3, 60, 87, and 91?
3: Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 23, give me line 17.
Victories Greater than Death page 23 only has 13 lines; the last of which is
Feels like I've been waiting forever to bathe in this stardust.
60: Is there anything pink within 10 feet of you?
I'm wearing a trans pride shirt, so, yes. :P
87: What is your current desktop picture?
The default Ubuntu one. I never changed it because it's a geometric cat shooting lasers out of its eyes, and that's pretty rad.
91: You accidentally eat some radioactive vegetables. They were good, and what’s even cooler is that they endow you with the super-power of your choice! What is that power?
I'm never sure how to answer these questions; like, the correct answer is "omnipotence" or "the ability to give myself superpowers" or whatever, when there's no limiter on it. I will say, the ridiculously specific superpower I've always wanted is the ability to find any object I think of.

In 2005, I got the Thinkpad X41, looks something like this:
I don't know if it was the first laptop to have the screen spin around into a full tablet - but it was the first I had ever put my hands on. If I recall right, the X41 (and all the X--series, for that matter) were designed to be smaller, lighter weight descendants of the 240X - but they were no less indestructible.
My X41 has fallen into puddles, out of cars, down several flights of stairs and off kitchen countertops. (Among much, much more.)
The screen never cracked. The screen never needed a protective film for the stylus (and I used it a LOT - kind of baby's first introduction to art tablets, really), and I never needed to replace the stylus. At some points the nub would wear down enough it wouldn't function anymore, but there was no danger of the screen being damaged by it.
It was an absolute tank.
Frankly, I'm not even sure why I'm saying was - the damned thing still works at time of posting.
What it can still do:
Connect to the internet (lesser secure networks - it's not sure how to handle higher encryptions now)
Use either its Windows or Linux partition (I split it for a programming class in Uni - don't really use Ubuntu much anymore, but it's still there.)
Work in google docs
Doodle
Check email
Browse Tumblr
Play a low-res Aquarium simulator
(And really, what more does anyone need in life?)
What it cannot do:
Function without being connected to the wall. The battery holds charge like a sieve and there are no replacement batteries short of something custom anymore. (That I can find.)
Handle anything that requires a modern-day average amount of RAM. (ie. anything more than doodles are out. Rendering will choke it.)
Handle standard Wifi networks' level of encryption (I usually have to tether it to my phone)
Anything that could even loosely fall under the definition of "gaming"
Be upgraded past WinXP
Here it is, gently roused from its nap its natural habitat - a Fruits Basket shoulderbag, also from circa 2005. (Most pins are later additions)
We still go out for walks on the weekend and find a café to do some writing; it is, for all intents and purposes, almost a fucking 20-year-old laptop that still functions as my main (personal) laptop - because writing in Google docs and posting to Ao3 is about all I do when I'm not mobile for work. All I need is an outlet.
In summary: Fuckin Nokia of laptops. 1000/10 would recommend. The damn thing outlived my first CAR that I got about the same time. (Not my fault that some kid crashed their car into it while it was parked in my driveway and knocked it into my neighbor's living room, totaling it, BUT I WOULD BET THE LAPTOP WOULD HAVE SURVIVED A SIMILAR FATE)
That being said - if it does, indeed, retire itself to The Great Cloud in the near future... ...are modern/current Thinkpads any good? I've got a severe sense of brand loyalty for Lenovo, but after twenty years, you never know if they're still the same. 👀 Taking recs.

Khonsu was an ancient Nile Valley Neteru of the Moon since the earliest times in Kemetic history. His name Khonsu also spelled as Chonsu, Khensu, Khons, Chons or Khonshu which means “The Traveller” or “The Wanderer”, reflects to the moon wandering across the night sky. He is also revered as the Neter of time. Khonsu also had given titles such as Embracer, Pathfinder, and Defender as he was thought to watch over night travelers. Khonsu was invoked to protect against wild animals, increase male virility, and to aid with healing. It was believed that Khonsu cause the crescent moon to shine, cattle to become fertile, women to conceive and every throat of the people were filled with fresh air. His appearance portrayed as a young Black Man with the royal sidelock and punt beard hair wearing lunar headdress that shows the disk of a full moon cradled in a crescent new moon. He holds the crook and flail. Occasionally, Khonsu also depicted as a falcon headed man wearing wearing the crescent of the new moon subtending the disc of the full moon on his head. Perfect for framing and displaying in your home or office.

Long rambling post about linux distros and users incoming. TL;DR: do what shiner told you to do; the distro discussions are philosophical and identity stuff
One of the reasons why all those discussions about linux distributions seem so convoluted from outside is that from our pov these are extremely important(tm) and incredibly personality-informed choices.
It feels to us like someone phoning a clothing store and asking 'what should i wear?'
We don't know what you look like and so what would complement your looks OR what you would like to look like so we can match your clothing to your personality.
And with distros it is very similar, at least from our pov: all the little differences in distros are vitally important, because where exactly to find things in your operating system and how exactly things work are vital to (some of) us.
If you've only ever worn shiny garbage bags (windows) - or bc most people expect shiny garbage bags as default clothes - we will recommend clothes that are shiny and might hang in a familiar way on your frame.
But some people hate shiny things on principle, either from the start or because they associate them with garbage bags.
I personally don't like the standard ubuntu, especially with the standard gnome desktop, bc it does a lot of things that make it incredibly easy to use and it 'just works' - but when you want to change very specific behaviour in those, then sometimes you're tearing your hair out with all the parts that are involved - and in which ways they are involved - and also some things are just not where you're used to them being from other linuxes/unices. Like I said, we're very particular with how things are supposed to be(tm). [Also maybe I'm just not good enough for ubuntu.]
I personally am a puzzler and a control freak: I like changing things exactly how I like them and I have a lot of fun puzzling out how exactly things work (if i have enough spoons and don't accidentally make myself sick during it), so I use arch linux a lot for my personal computers. Because I can change everything, and it has an amazing wiki and a thriving community that documents things reasonably well and it mostly has standards of how things are set up and keeps those standards. And it also has _very_ up-to-date software in most cases, so I don't lag behind being able to use media stuff.
[I also like debian a lot, and have been using it for .. decades now, but trying to use the newest fad in media stuff - or connection-shit for that matter - in debian is an exercise in patience and compiling everything yourself ... and then remembering that you did this and doing it all over again bc the next stuff came out and is now necessary. So not so much for my all-around computers where I want to watch films and download flash bs and install citrix and all the other horrible things that customers need.]
That being said a couple of years (decade?) ago it was very common for arch to break on upgrade and then you were sitting there puzzling out what exactly went wrong and fixing it. Like I said, for me that was more of a bonus, but for a lot of people that would be a nightmare.
Sooo ... I hope this wall of text helped you some with community understanding.
My advice would be start with exactly what shiner recommended: mint or ubuntu; just look at the homepage or pictures in a search engine and see what you like. Then go to their download-page and follow the steps written down there.
If you need any help at all: ask the linux community online, go to linux user group meetings in your area, go to your local college/university science/computer department and ask people there (in my experience try to go for math/physics/chemistry/engineering people over computer science, bc the latter are extremely hit or miss, especially in the lower years. if a physicist or mathematician offers to help you they probably know what they're doing and then some. But that is very personal experience and may be incredibly observer bias-y.).
And don't be afraid to try out different things, if you like trying new things in general. That's what linux is there for.
Backup your files: the obvious data you created and saved (images, videos, office files, etc pp) and the files and directories in your home directory (/home/<yourUsername>/) starting with a dot. So .Xresources for example. If you do that you can recreate your system whenever anything goes wrong.
[Disclaimer here: ofc not everything is in the dot-files in your home directory. Some stuff is in /etc, but also /var, /usr, etc - but if you get so far as to change things around so much that you need those then you probably know where to find it and what you did. For a beginner it's mainly a username and password that would be missing, and those are usually set up while installing the system in the first place. ]
I hope this helped, and if not please ignore. And have fun!
Hello there! I hope you don’t mind me just dropping into your asks like this, but by all means def feel free to just delete this if so, it is kind of a weird ask.
This is the anon from the computer blog asking about a private laptop for collage! After doing (a small amount of) research into Linux, one thing that’s super confusing to me, is… how does one know which distro to use? You mentioned in the replies of the post that you use Ubuntu Linux, which seems to be one of the more popular ones. Would you recommend — and if so, why? Is it good for privacy, do you think? The best? Does the user need to have a good deal of experience with computers to keep it running? (I’ve never used a laptop before but I don’t mind trying to learn stuff)
Also this is an EXTREMELY stupid question my apologies, but how….. exactly do you put Linux on a laptop? OP from my ask said to buy a laptop with no OS but is that something you can do? I’d think so, since 0P works with computer and stuff as their job, but Reddit says that it’s not really possible and that you should just “buy like a Windows laptop and scrap the software”??? Is that… correct? How did you install Linux on your laptop — did y ou have to remove software off it or did you, as OP says, manage to find a laptop with no OS?
Again, feel free to ignore if you don’t wanna put in the time/effort to reply to this, I absolutely don’t mind — it’s a lot of stuff I’m asking and you didn’t invite it all, so ofc feel free to delete the ask if you’d like!
ha, you've zeroed in on one of the big reasons Linux is kind of a contrarian choice for me to recommend: the wild proliferation of distros, many of them hideously complex to work with. luckily, the fact that most of them are niche offshoots created by and for overly-technical nerds makes the choice easier: you don't want those. you want one of the largest, best-supported, most popular ones, with a reputation for being beginner-friendly. the two biggies are Ubuntu and Linux Mint; i'd recommend focusing your research there.
this isn't JUST a popularity-contest thing: the more people use it, the more likely you are to find answers if you're having trouble or plugging a weird error message into google, and the greater the variety of software you'll find packaged for easy install in that distro. some combination of professional and broad-based community support means you'll find better documentation and tutorials, glitches will be rarer and get fixed faster, and the OS is less likely to be finicky about what hardware it'll play nice with. the newbie-friendly ones are designed to be a breeze to install and to not require technical fiddling to run them for everyday tasks like web browsing, document editing, media viewing, file management, and such.
info on installation, privacy, personal endorsement, etc under the cut. tl;dr: most computers can make you a magic Linux-installing USB stick, most Linuces are blessedly not part of the problem on privacy, Ubuntu i can firsthand recommend but Mint is probably also good.
almost all Linux distros can be assumed to be better for privacy than Windows or MacOS, because they are working from a baseline of Not Being One Of The Things Spying On You; some are managed by corporations (Ubuntu is one of them), but even those corporations have to cater to a notoriously cantankerous userbase, so most phoning-home with usage data tends to be easy to turn off and sponsored bullshit kept minimally intrusive. the one big exception i know of is Google's bastard stepchild ChromeOS, which you really don't want to be using, for a wide variety of reasons. do NOT let someone talk you into installing fucking Qubes or something on claims that it's the "most private" or "most secure" OS; that's total user-unfriendly overkill unless you have like a nation-state spy agency or something targeting you, specifically.
how to install Linux is also not a dumb question! back in the day, if you wanted to, say, upgrade a desktop computer from Windows 95 to Windows 98, you'd receive a physical CD-ROM disc whose contents were formatted to tell the computer "hey, i'm not a music CD or a random pile of backup data or a piece of software for the OS to run, i want you to run me as the OS next time you boot up," and then that startup version would walk you through the install.
nowadays almost anyone with a computer can create a USB stick that'll do the same thing: you download an Ubuntu installer and a program that can perform that kind of formatting, plug in the USB stick, tell the program to put the installer on it and make it bootable, and then once it's done, plug the USB stick into the computer you want to Linuxify and turn it on.
Ubuntu has an excellent tutorial for every step of the install process, and an option to do a temporary test install so you can poke around and see how you like it without pulling the trigger irreversibly: https://ubuntu.com/tutorials/install-ubuntu-desktop
having a way to create a bootable USB stick is one reason to just get a Windows computer and then let the Linux installer nuke everything (which i think is the most common workflow), but in a pinch you can also create the USB on a borrowed/shared computer and uninstall the formatter program when you're done. i don't have strong opinions on what kind of laptop to get, except "if you do go for Linux, be sure to research in advance whether the distro is known to play nice with your hardware." i'm partial to ThinkPads but that's just, like, my opinion, man. lots of distros' installers also make it dead simple to create a dual-boot setup where you can pick between Windows and Linux at every startup, which is useful if you know you might have to use Windows-only software for school or something. keep in mind, though, that this creates two little fiefdoms whose files and hard-disk space aren't shared at all, and it is not a beginner-friendly task to go in later and change how much storage each OS has access to.
i've been using the distro i'm most familiar with as my go-to example throughout, but i don't really have a strong opinion on Ubuntu vs Mint, simply because i haven't played around with Mint enough to form one. Ubuntu i'll happily recommend as a beginner-friendly version of Linux that's reasonably private by default. (i think there's like one install step where Canonical offers paid options, telemetry, connecting online accounts, etc, and then respects your "fuck off" and doesn't bug you about it again.) by reputation, Mint has a friendlier UI, especially for people who are used to Windows, and its built-in app library/"store" is slicker but offers a slightly more limited ecosystem of point-and-click installs.
(unlike Apple and Google, there are zero standard Linux distros that give a shit if you manually install software from outside the app store, it's just a notoriously finicky process that could take two clicks or could have you tearing your hair out at 3am. worth trying if the need arises, but not worth stressing over if you can't get it to work.)
basic software starter-pack recommendations for any laptop (all available on Windows and Mac too): Firefox with the uBlock Origin and container tab add-ons, VLC media player, LibreOffice for document editing. the closest thing to a dealbreaking pain in the ass about Linux these days (imo) is that all the image and video editing software i know of is kinda janky in some way, so if that's non-negotiable you may have to dual-boot... GIMP is the godawfully-clunky-but-powerful Photoshop knockoff, and i've heard decent things about Pinta as a mid-weight image editor roughly equivalent to Paint.net for Windows.

hewwo! so i've been away long enough to not know your star system girls :0c so please answer these for them!
👤💓 🌌 :3
Ohhhhh balam, you have no idea how excited I am to answer this ask, I’ve been waiting all day lmao <33333333
SO just for a quick rundown, Grits, Oatmeal, and Daisy run a large crime syndicate, with Grits and Daisy being the younger siblings of some small-time crooks in the star system canon, while Wolf is the leader of a small-time gang who are mostly just together for survival, and eventually she takes in Roxy who had been kicked out by her mother as a child. Wolf has no biological relationship to any star system members, and Roxy is the love child of notorious criminal Skunk, who does not know she exists and probably wouldn’t care if he did
Also I’m including Annie even though she’s not a character in the most traditional sense. Sometimes you answer ask memes about the family dog robot wolf, and that’s okay!
Grits
Well, her brother is Hamegg, and I kinda wanted to keep in with the breakfast food theme uwu also bc somebody with grit is somebody who is hardcore, who survives, so it’s sort of a play on words too
Volume 1 of Sailor Moon. Her brother used to read it to her as a bedtime story, so it holds great sentimental value. It’s worn and has a few stains from being treated roughly and handled by children, but to her it’s as good as mint condition.
Way in the back corner of the park she would visit as a child, is a gazebo, once white, now off-grey and slowly rotting. Her brother and his friends would take her there on sunny days, letting her play while they plotted and schemed in the way kids on a bad path do. Despite its state of decay, on days where she needs to clear her head she still visits, and can almost conjure up those days gone by
Oatmeal
Out-of-universe, I needed a name that was similar to but different from Grits, so we ended up at Oatmeal uwu in-universe, it’s bc Grits spared no expense in creating a robot double of herself, pouring money into the project, and then stood beside it as it was activated. It opened its eyes, looked at Grits and asked ‘What is my name?’ and Grits went ‘...oh fuck,’ having COMPLETELY forgotten about that part, and came up with ‘Oatmeal’ pretty much on the spot. RIP to Grits, no good under pressure.
Her outfit! Wearing the dress really makes Oatmeal feel like she has an identity, like she can fill the shoes she was given. Plus it’s the first thing Grits ever gave her, so it has sentimental value, too
Their bedroom. All three girls share a huge bedroom in the mansion they own totally legally with money obtained through legal means. It’s not only a safe place in a physical sense, but also in an emotional sense. They all let their facades fall, and can just be genuine with each other! And for Oatmeal, who is still kinda figuring herself out, it’s refreshing to see not only her girlfriends like that, but to be allowed to experiment with herself and her own personality as well
Daisy Ben
Well, she’s Heck Ben’s sister so… Also she’s named after and based on Daisy Ubuntu from the new season of Meerkat Manor… she’s based on a Meerkat what have I DONE. Daisy is just a good Southern Belle name tho tbh.
When she was 4 years old, Heck ‘found’ enough money to buy her a toy, since she didn’t have many. He got her a big plush ducky, who she named Cheese and Quackers. Dear Cheese has been loved half to death by now, but she still treasures him, and he sits on the nightstand to watch over the three of them as they sleep.
Horseback, or out in tall grass. Her family, including her, worked at the stables, caring for and exercising the horses, and even though she doesn’t often do it anymore, she loves riding bareback to help clear her head. Barring that, she loves hunkering down in tall grass, unseen by prying eyes. It makes her feel like a predatory animal uwu
Wolf Pack
wolf… good……… (in-universe, it’s debated on whether or not it’s her real name)
A small, pink stuffed dog. It was the only thing Roxy had from home, other than the clothes on her back, and eventually she gave it to Wolf as thanks for taking her in and as a sign of trust. Its name is Strawberry
Once she begins to trust him, Elefun’s office at the ministry of science! It’s a safe place for her physically, and it’s just… nice, you know? To not have to be the most responsible person in the room for once. To be able to let somebody else handle things.
Roxy Pack
Roxy is always a good name! In this case, it’s meant to be a reference to the Roxy Hunter series of movies, which I saw like 2 or 3 of as a kid. Her last name is Pack since she was unofficially taken in by Wolf as a little sister <3 also when paired with Annie, their names make ‘Roxanne’ which doesn’t mean anything but I thought it would be neat
A knife! Specifically, a scratched-up and kinda shitty blue karambit. When Wolf first took her in, she gave her the knife to help her protect herself, and as that was the first act of kindness Roxy had experienced in what felt like forever, it became very important to her. She now collects knives lmao.
Wolf’s room in the gang hideout. She knows Wolf will always look out for her! Plus, Wolf has a bunch of scientific posters on the walls and a few science mags lying around, and when nobody’s looking, she’ll try to read them. Wolf does her best to teach Roxy, but homegirl is also just naturally curious and wants to learn, lack of schooling be damned!
Annie the Robot Wolf
100% I just wanted to get the Roxanne thing. In-universe, Wolf named her for exactly the same reason lol
Roxy’s sweatshirt. She naps on it and can use its scent to find Roxy if anything bad happened
Dog park. She was programmed to have canine instincts, and sometimes she just wants to play with the other pooches <3333 'cuddling with Roxy' is also a valid answer
Thank you sooooooo much for the ask!!!!! This was so much fun <33333 I hope you like my girls ;w;
#ask#ocs#star system ocs#grits#oatmeal#daisy ben#down home breakfast#roxy pack#wolf pack#annie the robowolf#tezuka star system#yo can u go to public school if ur homeless? idk.#like can you just Show Up to school and they have to let you stay?#if yes then Roxy still goes to school

To be honest, I didn't know how to make this drawing because I never stopped to make diving glasses. But whatever, that's beside the point.
I made her on an Ubuntu beach using her bikini. "But she walks around naked Kazumi, what difference does she make in a bathing suit" What difference does it make that she shields her fragile eyes. The gloves are made of transparent plastic that simulates diving goggles. She wears a goggle bra and goggles on her face. It's only on the lower eyes that she uses a tighter tape to prevent water from getting in. A material similar to diving goggles. . . Wow, how many times have I written "diving glasses"? -q
