Implementing Business Action Reforms Action Plan
Subsequent to announcement of job oriented new Industrial Investment and Employment Promotion Policy 2017 by Uttar Pradesh, the State Government is now geared up to move beyond efficiency in improving the ease of doing business environment in the State.
Lead by the Infrastructure & Industrial Development Department, over 22 Departments of the State of Uttar Pradesh have implemented business reforms on regulatory processes, policies, practices and procedures spread across 12 reform areas under Business Action Reforms Action Plan (BRAP) 2017.
The reform areas include – labour regulation enablers; contract enforcement; registering property; inspection reform enablers; single window system; land availability and allotment; construction permit enablers; environmental registration enablers; obtaining utility permits; paying taxes; access to information and transparency enablers and sector specific reforms spanning the lifecycle of a typical business.
Key reforms implemented in the State of Uttar Pradesh by various departments include:
1.Infrastructure & Industrial Development Department
Strengthened Single Window System
>”Nivesh Mitra”, the Single Window Portal of the State, enables online application submission, payments, tracking of status, approvals and issuance of certificate(s) for more than 75 services of 12 Departments – Labour, MSMEs, pollution Control Board, Commercial Tax, Energy, Fire Safety, Forest, Food Safety & Drug Administration, PIC UP, Revenue and Urban Development and Weights & Measures.
Open & Collaborative environment
>Comprehensive checklist, applicable procedures and timelines of all required pre­establishment No Objection Certificates (NOCs), licenses, registrations and other mandatory State approvals are available online.
