Source of Info:https:https://www.regalokitchens.com/blog/amazing-open-modular-kitchen-design-for-modern-home
Introduction
With its easy installation with the living area, open modular kitchen design ideas are becoming increasingly popular across trendy customers. Open functional kitchen layouts break down the traditional boundaries of crowded cooking rooms and create active, welcoming places that fit modern lifestyles. This blog will go over the key features of open customizable kitchen layouts and why they are excellent for modern houses if you're thinking about updating your kitchen.
What is an Open Modular Kitchen Design?
An open modular kitchen design is a well-thought-out kitchen structure in which the surrounding dining or living spaces and the cooking area come together smoothly. By removing the walls that divide the kitchen in the standard manner, this design supports inclusion and openness. Every component, including cabinets, worktops, and appliances, is pre-designed and customizable to fit certain needs and style requirements when using functional kitchen layouts.
Benefits of an Open Kitchen Spaces
1. Improved Physical Presence
Open flexible kitchen layouts have stylish, trendy looks and are attractive to the eye. Because there are no barriers, natural light can enter the room freely, giving it a bigger, cozier impression. To match the overall interior decor of your house, you can choose from a variety of color schemes, materials, and finishes.
2. Improved Functionality
The main focus of a flexible kitchen concept is functionality. Because of their increased mobility and ease of access, open layouts allow multiple people to work together without feeling trapped. Families that like cooking together or welcoming visitors would especially benefit from this.
3. Social Interaction
The fact that an open modular kitchen design supports social interaction is one of its main benefits. In a nearby living or dining space, you can easily interact with your family or friends while preparing a meal or offering snacks. This element is especially valued in open-concept houses.
4. Space Optimization
Small to medium-sized houses are the perfect fit for open customizable kitchen designs. You can make the best use of the area by removing barriers and adding small, effective components. Every inch is used effectively thanks to features like wall-mounted shelves, corner units, and pull-out drawers.
Key Features of Open Modular Kitchen Design
1. Island Countertops
The open modular kitchen design is characterized by island countertops. A multipurpose center stage for dining, cooking, and even working, they serve many purposes. Island countertops additionally help in clearing the kitchen area because they have lots of storage underneath.
2. Smart Storage Solutions
Well-organized storage is a top priority in flexible kitchen layouts. These kitchens make sure everything has a home, from deep cabinets for tools and appliances to pull-out spice racks. To keep things appearing open, open designs often involve glass cabinets or floating shelves.
3. Seamless Appliances
A popular characteristic of open modular kitchen design includes the appliances. In addition to being useful, built-in ovens, hidden freezers, and under-counter dishwashers keep the kitchen appearing clean and functional.
4. Chic Lighting
In order to improve the atmosphere of an open functional kitchen, lighting is necessary. Hidden ceiling lights, under-cabinet lighting, and pendant lights above the island give the room beauty and functionality.
Popular Open Modular Layouts for Kitchens
1. L-Shaped Layout
One of the most flexible open modular kitchen design ideas is the L-shaped arrangement. It is excellent for small to medium-sized houses since it makes the finest use of corner space. The "L"'s open end blends in perfectly with the living or dining space.
2. U-Shaped Layout
A U-shaped setup is excellent for larger spaces since it offers enough countertop and storage space. This design maintains the open feel while creating a partially covered cooking area.
3. Straight-Line Layout
Compact homes or studio flats benefit greatly from a straight-line arrangement. All of the components of this kitchen design are arranged along one wall, freeing up the remaining space for additional uses.
4. Island Layout
Any open modular kitchen design is made more luxurious and useful with the island arrangement. The island is a focus piece that improves the overall design appearance while offering more storage and workstation.
Tips for Designing an Open Modern Kitchen
1. Choose the Right Color Scheme
To generate a feeling of space and openness, choose bright, light colors. Countertops and cabinets can be given depth and personality by using contrasting colors.
2. Invest in a Good Ventilation System
A strong chimney or ventilation system is necessary to keep smoke and smells out of open modular cooking areas because they are a part of the living space.
3. Focus on Durability
Choose materials that are easy to maintain, long-lasting, and fashionable. For modular kitchen design plans, quartz worktops, stainless steel equipment, and laminate cabinetry are great options.
4. Incorporate Multifunctional Furniture
To improve the use of an open kitchen, add folding seats, bar stools, or extensible tables. These components might serve as work areas or eating areas.
5. Personalize the Space
Your lifestyle and uniqueness should be reflected in your open kitchen plan. To make the area genuinely yours, add unique elements like dramatic lighting fixtures, indoor plants, or artistic walls.
Conclusion
Modern living, usefulness, and attractiveness are all perfectly combined in an open modular kitchen design. It creates a welcoming space where cooking becomes a shared, enjoyable experience. By incorporating smart layouts, stylish elements, and efficient storage solutions, you can transform your kitchen into the heart of your home.

There is something for everyone with Regalo Kitchens' wide variety of flexible kitchen designs, which can range from modern to classic. Maximizing Space in Your Modular Kitchen

Arplis - News: Today, we’re excited to share the full reveal of our clients’ worldly and collected Dumbarton residence
Over the past several weeks, we’ve been detailing the interior design of this family friendly home, inspired by the colors of Ireland. Located on the quiet streets of Braeswood Place, this new construction home transports you to another place. Working with the team at Scott Fraiser Homes, our design marries our clients’ cultural roots with their love of travel and sports. Old World elements give the design a distinctly European feel while singular interior design details make it feel just like the homeowners. Our Interior Design Concept – Sapphire and Emerald The beauty of the Irish coast comes to life through the home’s bold color palette and thoughtful accessories. We were inspired by sapphire and emerald jewel tones, against an artisan touch of reclaimed wood. We created warmth and Old World ambiance by carrying dark wood throughout the home in a variety of ways. Welcome home to Dumbarton. The Foyer From the carved front door to dark hardwood floors and wrought iron accents, the foyer brings the home’s Mediterranean style exterior indoors. The Fen chandelier from Currey & Company greets you as you enter the foyer. Wrought iron branches delicately adorned with a single crystal celebrate the beauty of nature in a modern way. This chandelier is almost like a piece of art! The Dining Room The dining room is one of the first spaces you see in the home. We wanted the dining room design to feel distinct but visually connected to the foyer. We worked with Chris Kokinakis, an expert restorer here in Houston, to refinish the dining table. The table’s new stain, Brazilnut from Sherwin Williams, is a perfect match to the floors. Above the table hangs the Rainhill rectangular chandelier from Curry & Company. The curved back and Bramble finish on the legs of the Jessica Charles Denton chairs mimicks the architectural style of the front door. We selected a velvet Schumacher fabric for the side chairs and a Sacho fabric with a lovely pattern for the head chairs. Holland & Sherry drapery fabric in Mediterranean makes a bold statement in this sophisticated dining room.   Architectural inspired doors open into the home’s welcoming foyer Family heirlooms next to contemporary dining chairs give this dining room a collected feel Can you guess which one of of these doors leads into the family’s secret pub? The detailing on these Century Furniture chairs is fabulous! The Family Room We wanted the design of the family room to be an inviting space the family could use for entertaining, gathering, and play. This benchmade sectional was fabricated by our friends at House + Town. The espresso ebony stain on the inset wood base mimicks the door stain. We chose a high-performance Crypton fabric in a chocolate shade that can go the distance with any type of play. Pillows upholstered in Seema Krish fabric and a Sherrill Furniture lounge chair layer the design with rich color. The bench behind the sectional is actually made from the family’s existing breakfast table! We had it disassembled and fabricated as a simple bench. Versatile and conversation starting, the Columbus Trunk Console from Four Hands suits the home’s worldly, collected style. The Breakfast Area The open space between the kitchen and the family room serves as the breakfast area. A Restoration Hardware chandelier hangs above the pedestal table from Mecox. We choose upholstered chairs from Century Furniture in an opposing shape to add structural detail and balance to the design. Bespoke cookbook shelves in navy and beautiful wood grain shelves unify the kitchen and family room spaces. The Kitchen In the kitchen, subtle hints of gray in the tile soften the contrast of the sapphire blue cabinets and sleek white counters. A Matt Camron rug adds cushioning underfoot and character. The Four Hands stools carry the stain on the exposed wood beams in the kitchen to the fireplace mantle in the family room.   A large kitchen island means the whole family can gather in the kitchen for casual meals comfortably I love the blue paneling against the white walls in the master bedroom Gold plumbing fixtures give this master bathroom a feminine touch The Master Bedroom Blue and white have a powerful, calming effect in the master retreat. The Jaipur Rug in ‘Tear Drops’ reminds us of waves crashing against the sea cliffs along the Irish coast. Their bed is Century Furniture in a Lyon Metal finish. We love the little something different the out-turned legs add. We selected a Joseph Noble window drapery and a Holly Hunt drapery trim with a great hand and texture. The drapery allows ample amounts of natural light in that’s reflected through recycled glass discs on the stunning Galahad chandelier from Currey & Company. Our good friends at MM Lighting helped with the installation of the fans, track lighting, and ALL the flush mount lights in the closets. They have a fabulous team and a lovely shop located in Bellaire here in Houston. Amy Margolin is one of our good friends and has been in attendance at our fall fetes! The Pub The tucked away location of this special hideaway meant we could design a space that truly feels like an Irish pub. Rough-hewn brick, distressed leather, and herringbone hardwood floors feel rustic and cozy. Hues of espresso, navy, and emerald create a masculine, moody atmosphere. There’s plenty of room for the family to watch their favorite sports together on this leather sectional This leather recliner is the perfect spot for relaxing with your faovrite drink from the bar The space boasts a home theater with a widescreen projector and a pool table, but this room is more than a media room. There’s a large bar with bar stools and a pair of Irish green leather chairs intended to give them a central gathering spot. This room is decked out with everything they need! The Boys’ Rooms Ryan’s Room Designed for the oldest of the four boys, this bedroom is refined and sophisticated. A large desk offers plenty of space to do homework and a comfy leather recliner is the perfect spot for reading. The pairing of slate gray with lighter grays gives the room a moody, tranquil atmosphere. Teddy’s Room Soft blue and hunter green lend an energetic ambiance to Teddy’s room. Graphic pillows, plush toys and an eye-catching wall design are youthful and fun. We selected larger, high-quality furniture that can be can easily be transitioned as he grows up and will be appropriate for years to come. Henry’s Room In Henry’s room, bold blues and orange punch up the design. Graphic wall decals paired with glossy white furniture convey the sports theme without feeling too cliche. Reclaimed wood floating shelves imbue beautiful texture into the room’s otherwise sleek design. Hunter’s Room A large map wall mural gives Hunter’s room a global perspective and brings a sense of fun and adventure to the design. Industrial touches and classic plaid bedding marry old world charm with sleek modernity. The result is bedroom that’s youthful and mature.   A leather recliner and stylish wall hook make for a sophisticated reading spot The lines on the wall design in Teddy’s room are perfectly placed! Homework won’t be boring when you’re sitting at this desk A map wall mural makes a one-of-a-kind statement in this bedroom I love the timeless combination of brushed brass and black stone in this bathroom I hope you loved the full reveal of this sophisticated interior design project in Braeswood Place! The home’s classic architectural style and modern functionality give the family plenty of space to gather, play, and entertain. A Cozy Modern Home With White Marble And Purple Accents
Modern, youthful, and elegant. This home has it all! Expertly designed by Architect, Dinara Yusupova, from U Design, this space has been adorned with an earthy color palette accented with splashes of lively purple and tranquil blue. Not to mention the sleek and stylish white marble that weaves itself through the entire design. The open concept layout was created to accommodate a couple with two children and is equipped to handle everything from larger formal dinners to intimate get-togethers. This cozy home may be small, but it has everything that a modern family could possibly need!
This room has an energetic vibe thanks to elements like the bright white marble, purple accents, and oversized grey couch. Color has been sparingly used in order to make the ultimate impact. All we can say is, mission accomplished! The pop of purple in this room is absolutely breathtaking.
The large modern sofa and ultra-chic coffee table make for the perfect place to lounge in front of the TV and fireplace. Whether you are aching to catch up on your favorite TV shows or looking to get lost in a good book, this living room is the place to be!
A white marble kitchen island is just what this open-concept space called for. An island is a great way to add some extra counter space and create a cozy place for informal dining. Bonus, if you love to have guests over for dinner, it is fantastic for socializing in the kitchen during meal prep.
The purple modern accent chair is quite the seductress is this room. Its large stature and purple hue make it a standout design choice.
White marble has been carried over from the kitchen and used to accent the TV and fireplace. The contrast of black and white makes for a stunning effect!
This home has a very earthy aura, no doubt partly thanks to the large amounts of wood used throughout. Not only has a soft, warm brown been used on the floors, but it has also been carried upwards on the walls. Some may say that wood paneling is passé, but this home proves otherwise!
A table fit for intimate get togethers among friends and family. A punchy color choice of black and purple helps complete this cozy setup, but it isn’t what we first noticed about this dining room. Overhead hangs a modern chandelier that you just can’t miss! Its unique circular design makes it the perfect statement piece.
This marvelous marble kitchen stole our hearts at first glance! From the contrasting charcoal cupboards to the unique kitchen pendant lights, everything is just pure perfection.
We see that the accents of playful purple have been traded for a tranquil blue in this bedroom. The sheer white curtains make sure that during the day this room gets lots of natural light. At night that job falls to the sleek, metallic bedroom pendant lights that can be found hanging over the bedside tables.
A simple designer table lamp highlights a floating marble makeup vanity. This corner of the bedroom has also been fitted with a flatscreen, a full length mirror, and a tuck away vanity seat.
The window treatment pairs both sheer and heavy curtains to create a dynamic duo that is both visually captivating and practical.
Mirror or window? Maybe the best of both worlds. This tinted glass partition makes this bedroom look more spacious, while still allowing the walk-in closet to be separated from the rest of the design. Using glass instead of a wall is a contemporary and unique choice that we can see has also been used to surround the built-in bookcase the the right.
With so many shelves and hanging bars, it would be easy to keep your wardrobe organized in this modern walk-in. The glass and high-shine chrome look amazingly sleek in this small space.
The other side of this walk-in features even more organizing options. There is a spot for everything from dress shirts to shoes.
And in case you weren’t already green with envy from this spacious closet, here is another view for you. You can never have too much closet space!
A whimsical bedroom with a dash of Scandinavian flair. The 4 poster kids’ bed in this room is uniquely shaped like a house and highlighted by string lights. The string lights are a simple addition to any room that will boost the overall energy of the space.
Counting sheep or rocking on a sheep, this room has been designed for both rest and play. We see tons of storage space has been incorporated in to the design to store toys, such as the under bed drawers and a built-in shelving unit.
Shelving and closed cupboards create a built-in that is both organized and modern. The open shelves are perfect for displaying select toys, while the closed cupboards conceal clutter.
An ombre mountain mural takes the place of a plain grey wall on this side of the room. It’s simple, geometric design is captivating, without being overly showy or distracting.
It really is the little things that tie a design together and in this corner, that couldn’t be more true. The polka dot storage cubes, Flow Chair Slim and house shaped wall storage all mesh together effortlessly in this corner. And that cute wooden hippo on the table!? He’s by Kay Bojesen and you can get one of your very own here.
The plush grey rug sprawled on the floor is a great example of the impact that an accent rug can have. In this instance, the rug in this space is used to add a level of coziness and comfort to the bedroom. In other spaces you may notice that accent rugs are used to create texture or add color to a design.
Another bedroom, not dissimilar to the one we have already seen. The big difference in kid’s decor would be the LEGO block accent on the bottom of the bed’s storage drawers, as well as the configuration of the built-in shelving. A subtle difference, but a poignant one.
Beside the door we find some play equipment complete with a rope ladder, hanging rings, and a pull up bar. A great way to burn some energy on rainy days or whenever outside isn’t an option.
We love the use of neutrals paired with the pops of bright colors provided by the toys and kids’ wall decor in this room. The contrast in saturation is absolutely stunning!
Wish upon a star or maybe 100 with an accent wall that has been adorned with modern wallpaper. With the design of this bedroom being so clean and simple, a wallpapered wall infuses the space with a bit of drama.
A unique desk that has been fitted with more LEGO block storage containers. The stylish desk chair you see in this kid’s study space is called the Flow Chair Slim.
We see that the same combo of sheer and heavy curtains have also been utilized in this space. We also couldn’t help to notice the built-in lighting that gives the ceiling its heavenly glow. Day or night, this room will have no lack of light!
An intimate entryway with big contrast. The simple black, white, and gold color scheme is irresistibly glamorous, all without over doing it.
A walk down the hall and we find a simple door surrounded by white decorative paneling. A great example of how variance in depth and texture can take a design from simple to stunning. This space wouldn’t nearly be as eye-catching with plain white walls.
Another glimpse of the wood paneled accent wall. The same soft brown paneling was seen earlier in the kitchen. The use of the same textiles throughout the house really unifies this home.
A luxurious laundry day? Practically unheard of! Unless you live here of course. State of the art stackable washers and lots of shelving and drawers make laundry day a bit more bearable.
A white marble graces the floor of this practical and stylish laundry room. The naturally sporadic veins that lightning across the tiles are perfect for concealing dirt and stains.
Well-organized, practical, and modern. Words that not only describe this laundry room, but this entire home. Kudos to Dinara Yusupova for creating such an awe-inspiring design!

Luxury Living By The Ocean
Oceanside and oh-so spectacular, these three luxury apartments are made to wow. Whilst the uninterrupted waterside views are blue, sparkling and stunning, amazingly they are not the stars of the show. These huge homes are set with designer furniture, beautiful lighting, high-end decor finishes and seamless concepts that guide the eye in awe. Luxury living rooms, chic dining room designs, enviable kitchens, commanding master bedrooms and elegant bathrooms culminate into addictive home style inspiration that will have you scrolling for more and more. Without even stepping foot on the sand or taking a single splash in the waves, living by the ocean never looked so good.
Visualizer: Vizline Studio   An expansive luxury living room unfolds across a wide waterside view in our first apartment tour. Sheer voiles billow over the ocean panorama. The high-ceilinged lounge area is capped with dark wood tone panelling that’s sliced through with staggered strip lights.
This is a special living room with a spectacular view on two sides. Blue waves ripple around the dining room, where a stunning botanical dining room pendant explodes above the table.
Whilst the sofa and living room rug are light, the coffee table and lounge chairs bring weighty black accents.
A modern lamp leans elegantly over one corner of the grey sectional sleeper sofa, dropping in another dark note.
A common colour palette connects the living room dining room combo, creating one cohesive and sophisticated scheme.
Large format floor tiles sweep seamlessly throughout the open plan.
Black modern dining chairs contrast smartly against a white dining room tabletop.
An impressive spiral staircase design twists up to the second story of the apartment; patterns created on the underside of the treads are suggestive of a giant Nautilus shell.
The luxury kitchen is a two tone design, where tall wood effect units counterbalance the pale finish of base cabinets and wall cupboards.
Two oversized kitchen pendant lights create a large statement over the breakfast table.
Coffee can be taken at the luxe marble kitchen island, which looks outward over the terrace and sea view.
The kitchen’s patio doors lead straight onto an outdoor dining area that sits poolside.
Beige dining chairs and a natural stone dining table complement the kitchen’s oak countertop and wood tone accent cabinets.
Moving into the luxury bedroom, wood panels have been used to build a warm and cosy effect across the headboard feature wall. A unique magazine holder shares the rug space with the platform bed.
The same rich wood tone covers the bedroom TV wall, which is suspended gracefully over a linear modern fireplace.
A bedroom chair pulls up close to the stone hearth.
On the other side of the open fireplace, we find a gorgeous ensuite bathroom design with a freestanding tub.
Visualizer: Kaminskyi   Our second apartment is home to another stunning linear fireplace design, which stretches wide across an enormous double height living room. Wood effect panels climb the grand chimney breast, framing in a large TV above the flickering orange flame.
A U-shaped sectional sofa arrangement marks out the lounge, with a light area rug at its core. Caramel coloured scatter cushions warm the look of the cool white couch upholstery.
Clusters of orb pendant lights descend randomly across the vast space to distribute an even glow and spectacle.
Clear glass coffee tables reflect the light at the heart of the room, and suspend decorative items as if entirely weightless.
Glass doors adjoin the living room to the sun terrace, making one free-flowing indoor-outdoor living area.
A small overhang protects the interior from the direct glare of the sun.
The orb lights become dining room chandeliers as we move along the open plan space. Curved back dining chairs stylishly complement the circular motif.
A crisp white kitchen stands just beyond the dining room.
An eye catching modern chandelier serves a gorgeous marble topped kitchen island
Architect: Shelton, Mindel and Associates   Two units were purchased and merged to create our third and last apartment interior, in an ultra-luxury condominium development. Two curved sofas surround a custom-built media wall.
Sleek white cabinet doors slide closed to conceal the TV, and reveal two alcoves of decorative shelving on a breezy blue backdrop.
A round dining table was selected to reflect the shape of the neighbouring curved sofas. Bright blue dining chairs add a seaside feel.
Yellow decor elements make a sunny companion to the cheerful blue accent pieces.
A simple console table makes an ideal landing spot for colourful touches to be added to the white hallway. Ribbed panelling adds interesting texture to the long walls of the passageway.
A quirky jellyfish mural swims across a curvaceous yellow storage volume. A circular glass vase makes a clear accompaniment to a pair of transparent acrylic chairs.
More curves characterise a futuristic white kitchen design.
A soft end of bed bench and a headboard accent wall add a whisper of grey to the white master bedroom.
Modern outdoor chairs furnish the terrace, which is bowed like the deck of a ship.
The guest bedrooms of the home are given a high colour treatment, like this vibrant red bedroom design.
The yellow bedroom scheme follows the same colour principles as the red, with accents appearing as headboard wall panels, bordered bed linen, drapes, a stylish bedroom chair, and a colour matched TV remote control tray.
Similar accent pieces set up a blue bedroom in one coordinated sweep.
The final guest room features a three colour floor lamp that pays homage to the three coloured bedroom themes.
In the bathroom, shining chrome framework sharply contains the bathtub, shower and a double sink bathroom vanity.

Using Muted Colours and Shapes As Scandi Style Decor
Scandinavian style interior design is best known for its simplistic nature and monochrome look, but it’s high time for a little colour and shape. New muted colour mixes add a sense of sophistication and warmth to the minimalistic Scandi aesthetic we’ve all come to recognise and appreciate. Think russet tones, dusky coral, mellow light ochre, inky blues and sage green and you’ll be headed down the right track. This selection of three inspirational home interiors use muted moderns and bold shapes to set crisp yet cosy living scenes. Surrounding white spaces and wood tone bring balance, light and a sense of calm.
Designer: Elena Kisenko & Sergey Semkin   Visualizer: Sergey Semkin   Inspirational interior number one benefits from an abundance of natural light through dual aspect windows. Interior light comes from a recessed ceiling design and a black swing arm wall lamp in the lounge, plus plain white pendant lights above the dining area. The room is primarily a pale neutral scheme but receives a punch of colour via an area rug with solid geometric sections of dusky coral, yellow ochre and navy blue.
Behind the sofa, a sweeping semi-circular mirror is fixed against the edge of a dividing wall. The mirror position combined with the reflection within it creates an optical illusion of a cut away–almost like a giant bite has been taken out of the wall. The mirror is backlit with white LEDs to add more emphasis.
Kitchen bar stools have an almost burgundy sheen beside a basic black u-shaped kitchen arrangement. A selection of white wall cabinets and white marble floor tiles contrast with the dark base units. A black kitchen faucet stands out against a white tile splashback. Wooden ceiling slats bring visual warmth and neatly disguise lighting beams.
The kids room is like an early spring day, with a cloudy grey sky and a little sunshine breaking through.
A Mr Fox rug adds a little whimsy to the floor area.
Shapes are introduced into this room scheme as a set of three little wall shelves. Swiss cross drawer handles in yellow decorate white closets. Two yellow accent drawers and shelves mark out the child’s desk area, which has a punchy cobalt blue kid’s chair.
Wall hooks are provided in the shape of tree wall decor.
The master bedroom is a less colourful affair, where a large amount of wood tone is used to complement a quietly rich brown and deep blue scheme. Pleasing shape has been added as an asymmetrical headboard here, which overlaps a wide floor to ceiling mirror. A slender floor lamp provides reading light at one side of the bed.
A yellow bathroom faucet breaks a monochrome colour scheme.
A recessed shower shelf has been finished in yellow to match the vanity faucet.
The home entryway stands separately in a colour all of its own.
Designer: Zrobym   A blast of blue cuts through our second shapely interior, across a marshmallow-like cushioned couch. Traditional wainscott has been interrupted with a recessed section of blue to add modern flair.
An elliptical side table has a dual section tray top.
Another ellipse makes up the handles of the TV console unit.
Mirrors are used to increase the sense of space and light.
A modern settee provides seating on the other side of the room.
The rich brown shade of an upright piano plays harmoniously with the blue upholstery of the nearby sofa. The hues are echoed in a classic carpet.
This split concept shows the possibilities of matching the kitchen to the hue of the blue sofa, or swapping out the sofa for a grey version and installing a brown kitchen to match the piano.
This double workspace area sees the return of the ellipse shape present in the lounge. This time ellipses and circles create a floating piece of art that connects wall shelves together. Two dark swivel chairs add base notes to the light wooden setup.
A circular lighting feature hovers above the centre of two built-in kids’ beds. A russet brown storage unit stands on the walkway of the bespoke bedroom furniture, with more storage space created within the unique bed base itself.
Deeply curvaceous coving crowns the walls.
White door handles camouflage against white interior doors.
Designer: Zrobym   Our last home is located in Minsk, Belarus, with contrasting colours and shape set over a floor area of 92.6 square metres. We’re immediately met with a sage green kitchen and a solid yellow ochre sofa in an open plan living room.
An ottoman coffee table stands in matching mellow ochre, and a TV console unit in green.
Circular artwork decorates the dining room wall with a pop of coral.
Geometric tile makes the kitchen backsplash.
Yellow ochre seating has been set into the hallway.
A floating shelf extrudes from an enormous hallway mirror.
Humorous artwork adorns the walls.
A kid’s room has the yellow and green palette carried through it.
In this home the rugs are kept completely neutral in order to blend with a wooden herringbone floor.
This slate grey bedroom is made cosy with plump cushions and a chunky cable-knit throw.
Bedside shelves are built right into the sides of the surrounding closets.
Two brown chairs sit at a window shelf that can be utilised for study or as a vanity.
A dusky vanity unit brings muted colour to a monochrome bathroom.
Diamond set tiles create an unusual zigzagged edge beneath a round bathroom mirror.
A peachy cloakroom concludes the muted colour tour.
