I'm so excited to actually learn some science this semester bc I kind of struggle with vague notions of ethics & interpersonal communication but I fucking LOVE science

On a related note, I'm so scared for this semester because it's biochemistry specifically related to the movement of fluid in the body 😭 and that was fascinating to learn in A&P but it was easily the most difficult concept

#gas exchange was easy peasy. fluid exchange and osmolarity made me cry #so i do expect this semester to be more challenging intellectually but i also think it will be more engaging #bc i love nitty gritty and i hate overarching concepts #not to say that interpersonal communication isn valuable or worthwhile bc its pretty damn important #its just that ethics and communication dont translate well to studying or testing. those are really a learn by doing #those concepts made way more sense discussing them in the hospital with real time examples #than they did on a powerpoint #u cant learn chemistry on the fly in the lab u really need a foundational textbook knowledge of wtf is happening #at least thats how i felt in my biochem program i was like a fish out of water #didnt have the physics or chem background i needed for that program. i thought it would be playing with viruses and DNA #i didnt realize it would be measuring flow rate and making potions. still fun tho bc i love science #and im very excited to learn science related to my degree even if it is cursed fluid science
