I've uhhhhhhhhhhh been meaning to ask about Req AU Norman 👀👉👈 headcanons and such, love me some projector man,,,,,,

Norman is very good, and what better a time that now to finally finish up my Req!Norman reference!

And since you asked for headcanons...

A big fan of banter. Lots of back and forth jokes, sass, almost on the edge of flirting. Drove Sammy mad with it. Despite this, somehow the two were... well, what passed as “friends” for Sammy.

Tended to keep to himself outside of the music department, but was pretty close with most of the main music dept. folks - Jack, Sammy, also Susie too. (She liked to join him in the projection booth, a headcanon I’m shamelessly stealing from this one inkdemonapologist post.) 

Had a pretty much photographic (ha) memory, which helped with him finding out more than he should. He remembered tiny things that most folks would just forget, so it was easy to put them together into a bigger picture...

He wasn’t entirely sure on how deep it went, but he knew that Joey was messing with supernatural things. As long as it didn’t cause issues, he was fine ignoring that, but as things started to get more serious...

...and onto Req AU plot notes...

He was one of the first to notice Jack’s disappearance (along with Sammy), and immediately put together that Joey was blatantly lying about what had happened. Despite this, he stayed around, and didn’t push things too much. If people were in danger, he wanted to know what was happening, to help.

Unfortunately, that backfired. By the time he tried to act, Susie had disappeared as well... but, with so much attention paid to Joey, he’d forgotten to keep an eye on Sammy, and didn’t notice the man’s descent into inky influence until it was too late.

He was briefly a Lost One after Sammy sacrificed him to the ink - the desire to try and stop what was happening was enough to keep his form stable for a while. But after a while, his stability started to fade, as the situation got more hopeless, and his memories more muddled.

At least, until a... helpful former friend decided to help keep him stable, by giving him something more physical to merge with. After all, she would know about trying to stay stable, after her first time in the ink...

I got a little distracted from just headcanons, but... hopefully this is some fun Norman info for you for now! :) Only nice things here.
