i’m having such bad anxiety the last few days and i feel like i shouldn’t bc like no one owes me anything but also radio silence is the fucjing worst and like!!! lots of reasons for that that are both perfectly valid and also NONE OF MY BUSINESS but also i am terrified that i’ve now lost one of the best friends i’ve ever had bc my dumbass decided to show him a poem i wrote about/for him? like why am i so stupid why did i think this was a good idea lmfao

but also very possible that he hasn’t seen it yet bc he’s busy but then that almost makes me MORE anxious bc then he could at any time and like

i don’t EXPECT anything but also,,, i just don’t want him to not want to be friends anymore you know?

update March 23rd: I know so many people are falling on hard times right now. Her not having access to medical treatments has made this all the more necessary. Her husband is now having harder than anticipated time finding a job. And on top of that, the large-scale inability of folks to pay rent has made the work Jenn does, and needs your support to continue to do, all the more necessary, too. Please contribute anything if you can, especially if you benefit from the work that renters' rights organizers are doing and you have some to spare. Every dollar makes a huge difference.

I’m Simon. I'm organizing this fundraiser for my friend Jenn. She’s a really rad queer and disabled union and community organizer in Olympia, Washington, where she does some vital work on renters’ rights and housing and disability justice for working class people. Her husband just lost his job. She was recently diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, which is an extremely painful genetic disorder that causes daily dislocations and effects virtually every joint in the body.

She is in need of money to help pay for a wheelchair and cover the braces and splints that can help manage the pain from her disorder while preventing joint degeneration, while her husband tries to get work again as soon as possible. So far, she has a walker and crutches and those have enabled her to be more mobile, but her frequent dislocations are threatening her quality of life as well as ability to keep doing the great work she does for the community. i got rly high last night and meditated and was like!! why am i fretting so much abt this crush i have!! why am i not just letting myself enjoy his company and enjoy getting to know him!! bc i rly like him and i enjoy him and i’m just making myself upset by constantly being so anxious?? idk

last week it may have been passively mentioned that he likes zucchini bread and my mom and i usually make some every year and hadn’t yet this year so today i baked some and i’m going to take him a couple of the mini loaves tomorrow - a regular and one with mini chocolate chips, since i can’t bake w nuts

hopefully he enjoys it! i’m thoroughly enjoying munching on mini chocolate chips whilst baking tbh

i’ve also got some for my coworkers and my family of course and my parents have already demolished one of my mini loaves lmao

the chocolate chip ones are still cooling though so hopefully they taste good lol
