He can’t cook for shit, and it’s the only downside of this bloody show. Well, not only - he’s dying to set eyes on a Bloomberg and size up the market. But that’s the workaholic in him, rather than the starved man incapable of boiling an egg. Fortunately, he’s not alone when he wakes up, a sleepy smile towards Mimi as he steps in. “What are you doing up so early?” Maddox asks nonchalantly, pulling open the fridge. Cereal it is. “Cereal?”

JOSH HAS A LOT OF PEOPLE TO TALK TO TODAY. most of them are friends he feels the need to thank for voting for him, a humbling and humiliating way to spend the morning of his second chance in the villa. he’s about to head outside to find romi when he catches long dark hair coming out of the bathroom. there’s a lot of girls it could be, but his stomach twists in a way it usually doesn’t when he recognizes mimi.   “ morning, ”   he gives her a small, hesitant smile, eyes watching her closely. testing the waters for where they stand after last night—her not voting for him to stay, and josh staying over luke anyway.   “ how’d you sleep ? ”   how are you doing is what he means, but those words feel harder to ask.

        in his quest for a cold blackberry gin sling, leo way overshot his gin to everything else ratio, leading to a too-strong drink and him fishing for another glass. when he’s finally finished with his concoction, he stares down at the two drinks, knowing he’d be overdoing it by trying to chug both before the second gets too warm. so, he looks around at the surrounding sparse crowd before catching sight of mimi. hey, when opportunity strikes, right?

        leo walks over to where she’s sitting, hands full with vibrant drinks dotted with fresh blackberries. “mimi!” his chin juts up once in greeting while he beams, “y’like gin, yeah?”

It’s literally and figuratively an Old Fashioned, but just because Maddox was on a reality show, didn’t mean he had to change entirely. He could run from his posh upbringing like the best of them, guzzling jager bomb shots for the hell of it... But at the end of a night, a strong Old Fashioned is his drink of choice. He’s just popped sugar and bitters into a mixing glass when Mimi steps into the lounge. Unmistakable from her on-screen persona, though Maddox thinks she’s much more “girl next door pretty” than “sultry bombshell” than the marketers shape her to be. Either way - she’s gorgeous. “Evening,” Maddox nods, gesturing to the mixing glass in hand. “Care for a drink?”

“ SO YOU AND NAOMI, HUH ? ”   josh muses teasingly, watching mimi through the reflection of the mirror in front of him as he attempts to fix his hair. they haven’t been talking enough to know how she’s feeling since luke was coupled up with dylan, but he has a few guesses how that must feel. really, he’s been trying to stay out of her way, as if he’s rub salt in the wound. but right now he can’t really help it.   “ y’know, i have to ask. if you got to choose before nana, would your choice have been the same ? ”   the high of being saved last night is enough to ignite his blood, make him be a little more forward than usual.
