Fiyero is not a male galinda because he is not even half the character she is and i'm afraid jon made it clear they are following the musical which was a turning point in making him unlikable as a love interest simply because... he is not interesting at all... he's your standard while male love interest of a prince charming, there is a reason most people prefer gelphie for over 20 years and honestly i can not blame them, fiyero has nothing going for him that makes that pairing memorable other than being straight(anything remotely nice about it comes from elphaba as a character alone, to me) which is why it has a "big" fanbase after gelphie at all if we are fair and honest about fandoms, the ammount of homophobes popping since the movie came out that ship them to spite on gelphie is also proving it right (i'm also a multishipper with fiyeraba as a favorite, book fiyeraba specifically)

i completely understand and real book fiyeraba is my fav but its just so idk with how some people are going about it like yes i really do think gelphie in the movies is better written/portrayed over fiyeraba and think Fiyero wouldve been more interesting if they had cast a POC man as much as they said they were pulling from the book they didnt pull that aspect (which ik musical Fiyero was at the end of the day written as a white male lead/love interest). And thank you for pointing that out about how homophobes/lesbophobes have been popping up lately n its like ik they are only here to stir the pot and tbh its yet another franchise that i am confused on how they could be into wicked/oz in gen AND be homophobic?

But yes literally Glinda is more of a character than Fiyero especially at this point of the musical and is a disservice to her character with "takes" (ive mainly seen on twt) that he is male Glinda. Its like ik it'd be mean to spoil though I hope they give him more to do/be characterized in part 2 bc act 2 us already a rush even on stage.
