what got you in to splatoon?

this is a great ask and i love hearing about how others got into it too! For me I got into it back in 2015 when my online friends were having a great time with the game and their Splatoon OCs and my knowledge of the game was "funny colorful squidthing go zoom in the paint". So I asked people if I should get it just out of curiosity and I basically got wrangled into it. But like at the end of the day it was like... an impulse buy lol
