4. what sort of general actions raise or lower their approval?

generally picking well-mannered dialogues as well as de-escalating conflicts/talking your way out of fights & being self-preserving will raise her approval ! zofeia will disapprove of stopping to help everyone, taking needless risks, and doing anything to involve yourself with or cross devils (entertaining raphael's deal, stopping wyll from killing karlach, being rude to mizora).

10. are there any unique npcs associated with your tav that can show up during the course of the game?

in act three, both a servant from her former home as well as her father can be encountered ! if you allow her to take the necromancy of thay and progress the quest fully, you will also be able to interact with her dead sister's ghost (which is essential to a sub-plot of her companion quest: letting her sister finally move on and find peace).

5. does the romance have different branching paths, or just one route to take?

the difference isn't really noticeable until the very end of her romance and after the completion of her companion quest. if her lust for power has been encouraged, she essentially takes his place and becomes an equally brutal, even more corrupt and iron-fisted judge (<- nepo baby). if not, she finds herself at a loss for what to do with herself, but will happily face the future if the player character is with her.
