A life without smartphones?

I was wondering what my life would be without a smartphone or any other advanced technology. I am 19 rn, in the year 2023. I wonder what would my life look like if I was 19 in the year 2008? Idk why I thought of this random year. But it makes me nostalgic about things which I experienced in the early 2000s. I was 4 year old in the year 2008 but I remember a lot of things.

My mother’s youngest brother, my uncle, he was 20 years old in the year 2008 and I remember spending a lot of time with him. When I remember his behavior at age 20 and compare it with my present 19 year old self, I don’t really see a huge difference. That means that although he doesn’t represent the entire youth of that time, it still does make me realize that young adults are more or less the same; with technology and without technology.

I remember sitting in his room when he used to call one of his best friends and they used to talk about different stuff and vibe and chill and make fun of each other and what not. I was just 4, but I remember it all and its kinda saved in my subconscious mind. There are times when you dont understand something at the time it happens, but you make sense of it later when you grow up. That’s exactly what happened with me.

Now, back to my imagination. As someone who gets fascinated by the old school retro stuff, I really feel like going back to that time. I wonder how my life would be without these social media platforms, fast internet, etc. (and now we have chatgpt!) Lol. Technology has doubt made our lives much easier and these social media platforms made us feel that the world is big yet small, by connecting us together, but I feel like it made us get it all so easily that we fail to understand the value of it all. We now take it for granted. We easily get connected to each other by a few clicks and fast internet that now we have the choice to be connected with people. We choose to reply or not, we choose to respond, we choose to initiate digital conversations.

If the year 2023 was like the year 2008, I would be careful to try to tell everything to my close friends in a single sms as possible. Using a few words, because tying on nokia wouldn’t be that easy, and the fact that it isn’t free to send an sms lol. I need to use my phone balance carefully. Instead of texting, I would have to call my friends to ask them about something important. These conversations would be meaningful because I’d try to talk about many things in that single call. I would have to ask them to dictate me the assignments or notes that i missed by being absent in school or college.

I would have a camera, to click pictures and try to click the best shots in the first go because reels come at a cost too. Then I would go to the printing shop to get them printed to be placed safely in the albums. Those hardcopy albums would be worth opening later to revisit the memories and feel it by touching them.

I would have to buy cds to download music on my windows laptop. The laptop with the least storage and a few pre installed games. Placing cds and watching movies or songs. I would also keep my cds safe in a file. (I remember going through my uncle’s cd collection which was soooo cool!)

I would also have torch because I lowkey loved it when the electricity used to go down in the evening and we used to switch on torches and candles.

The big fat tv, the used to take up a lot of space! Omg. The music stereo system! The mario video games! I would have it all.

I would spend my time reading books, playing guitar, solving a Rubik’s cube, sketching or crafting origami pieces. Making dresses for my barbie dolls, playing with the other toys or doing my makeup. I would spend time doing it all.

There would be no social media, no smart phone addiction. Only good vibes.

Why I’m so in love with “Camren”

*Bonus - the last part of this post is a must-see

Hi guys!

This is like a Camren Guide. LMAO.

I’m bored so Imma make a post about my favorite and only ship!

So first things first, to those who do not know what Camren is, it’s a ship name for Fifth Harmony’s Lauren Jauregui and former member Camila Cabello. Camila + Lauren = Camren. Look them up on youtube and get acquainted but I suggest you ready yourselves because it’ll suck you in to the bottomless pit of mixed feelings. It’s a fucking rollercoaster ride of emotions so buckle up if you may.

For those who are new in the fandom, Camren is not that much of a hot topic anymore. Knowing that Camila left the group last year. Both went on separate ways now and they’re said to be in bad terms. Plus, Lauren is supposedly dating Ty at this point in time so... But who knows, right? Maybe the people behind them are just creating drama to survive the show business because that’s what makes people keep up. DRAMA.

To my fellow shippers, we will go down with this ship till we hit the bottom. But even so, Imma still hold on because who knows? Maybe the ship will rise back up! Hold on you guys. Our ship is endgame. I repeat, ENDGAME! :D

So now, I’ll tell you how I discovered this emotion-wrecking ship. I was about to sleep, watching a music channel in my room when their Write On Me musicvid came up. I saw Lauren and I fell in love. Yes, I’m a Lauren girl and I admit that it’s too freaking hard to keep up with her but I just can’t unlove her. WHY?? So then I searched Write On Me on youtube again ‘cause I just can’t get over her. Then I saw a vid on the recommended portion title “Camren - Write On Me”. My curious ass clicked on it and damn! I have never regretted anything in my life. It sucked me in. I love it and at the same time I hate it. Damn, Camren! What have you done to me? Somehow, Camren made me a harmonizer. I support the girls up until now. Even Camila. They have earned a big potion of my heart.

This lured me in! Such beauty...

Now let’s get on Camren. Imma give you reasons to ship it. 

1. Their background/history

Camila and Lauren are both living in Miami. They both are half Cubans. Camila is half cuban, half mexican while Lauren is half Cuban, half American. They both didn’t know each other’s existence until they tried their luck in joining X Factor. Crazy, right? Both have immediately found solace in each other knowing that they have much similarities. They instantly got close and became each other’s bff in the competition. And little did they know they’re in for a big surprise. They were grouped together! And there came Fifth Harmony. Yay!

2. The connection/vibes

4.  The Sun and The Moon. Sol y Luna

This one’s pretty trippy ‘cause I’m confused as to which of them is the Sun or the Moon and I know Lucy used to post The Sun and The Moon on tumblr and her instagram too.  But fuck it. Imma make it a Camren thing still. One things for sure though, they both have an obsession with this Sun and Moon thing. :*

This one always blows my mind. Fucking soulmates.

5. Mirroring

OMG! Their mirrorings are definitely a must-see. Are they twins or something? Maybe soulmates? I wish I could find a Lauren to my Camila too. Lmao. They’re sometimes so in sync that it gives me goosebumps. 

6. Camila Cabello 

Yes, Camila Cabello. The girl feeds every Camren shippers delusions like hell. She’s the opposite of Lauren who made it a hobby to kill Camren and break her fans’ heart once in a while. Her hatred for Camren is sometimes so questionable. Like girrrrll! Leave it if it annoys you too much. She’s so defensive about Camren that her actions become suspicious. Meanwhile, Camila freely posts too much suspicious shit. Even her new solo songs and even her whole album which according to her, “The album is really not about boys though....”. We get it Camila. You’re in a glass closet. Don’t you think it’s time to finally break free? ;)

Remember the supposed Camren kiss on Dinah’s snapchat last year which she deleted minutes after? She posted it on snapchat few days before VMAs 2016. Then during the VMAs Camren was a little less awkward. They were standing and sitting next to each other, talking and laughing. They were kinda happy that time. They probably knew it was their last VMAs together so they made the best out of it. Sooo, in that snapchat I don’t think those were bags. I’ll make you guys believe. It’s the most concrete proof that makes me believe that Camren is or was real. Whenever I doubt about Camren, I always go back to this video and get my Camren hopes up.

Thoughts - I feel like they are aware of the fact that they are so perfect for each other. Dude, that is why they became uncomfortable about it because they acknowledge the fact that it could be real, it could be true.  Because if it were ever real and they didn’t have the chance to make it public, they’ll be stuck thinking how it would feel like being free to show their love for each other, not hiding. They will always have that “what-ifs” until they’re free and get the chance to try it again. If that time comes, they’re free to tell and show the world the truth. Right now, it’s just complicated. So much is on the line. Their careers on top of it all. Who would’ve known they would end up like that? Wow, what a beautiful love story. Let’s give it let’s say 2 or 3 years more. SVT yes that part in home where they choreographed like a house imagery with their hands was so cool!! the choreo is just so detailed (like i think there was a part that looked like they were opening a door bc it's "home"), i had heard svt is self produced and thats so amazing! theyre so talented and their performances are so good (the ones i've seen so far). i watched their mafia dance video for left and right and it was so FUNNY HAHAHAA they seem so chaotic i love it (also i love the mafia dances in general lol like nct dream did it for we go up). i'm going to try to learn svt's names (which i usually do by just watching crack videos about the group on youtube lmao) so stay tuned 👀 coming from nct, 13 members doesnt even seem like a lot to me anymore hahaha and i think im usually good with names so we'll see! i am also curious to see if i end up stanning dino :)) who are your svt biases??

haha yes i can understand xj/hn/lc without subtitles!! it's interesting because i think all 3 of them are from different places so their canto actually sounds a bit different from each other! but when i hear wayv speaking canto it feels so familiar bc i really only speak cantonese with my family, and it's such a weird but also good feeling and it makes me feel warm :) wayv is the unit that feels like ur close friends (whereas dreamies have best chemistry and i think i like 127’s music most? OK MY SVT BIASES 🥺 ok first of all here’s a digression: usually when i get into a kpop group i have like 3 different positions, 1) love at first sight - which is the person who i’m attracted to right from the second?? like the first person i see and i’m like oh //they// kinda like the way you’re attracted to dino’s dancing and stuff; 2) first bias - which is the person i just pick for whatever reason //ok they’re gonna be my bias//; 3) the actual bias - after watching a lot of content and listening to the music and getting to know the group in general i then choose //THE BIAS// or rather the bias chooses me bc it’s out of my control i just love them whoever they are! and with svt 🥺 all of the 3 were one guy (the only other time this happened to me is w nct dream lmao) 🥺 and i love him so much! one and only: xu minghao! (aka the8) 🥰 he’s one of the lead dancers and 1/2 china line in svt and he can sing! he can rap! and boy can he dance 😭 i just 🥺 love him 🥺 my other svt bias (whom, tbh, i don’t love nearly as much as i love minghao but i still love him very much<3) is wen junhui! Driven #5 - [Monsta X] Kihyun!Au

[A/N] “I wanna take a picture of you.” Gosh, dude. 

Sunday evening. Taking a nap after morning engagement party for your brother’s office friends, was a bad idea. You were feeling slightly numb.

You appeared dazed. It didn’t take a lot for your mother to realise that. “You know you could stay one more night. What’s the rush…” She poured herself a drink. You were finishing up yours. You were taken back from a memory trip and you forced out a smile. What was that. You were spacing out, you don’t do that for awhile. The last time you were deep in this thought was a few years ago, perhaps. “Kihyun...needs to work.” You lied. That bum doesn’t have work. You just wanted to escape this town, and didn’t want to spend any time longer.

Suddenly, a hand snatched your empty mug and you glanced up to see Kihyun grabbing the water jar into the mug you were using. He puffs, his lips protruded. “...Guess she’s still bummed about losing the game yesterday morning. Oh right. Of course Kihyun would remember that. After dinner, on the first night, Kihyun actually joined a family game of ice-breakers, plus your brother’s fiancee. A family version of truth and dare.

Your losing question was:

“Who here, have seen any of us cry, DON’T drink.” The cola bottle were half empty already, barely fifteen minutes into the game. Those who pees first, or excuses themselves, loses. Mother, father and your little brother all didn’t drink. Kihyun didn’t too. “Really?” You couldn’t believe your eyes. Everyone didn’t drink, but you. “Oh come on.” That can’t be true. Your father said, he has seen your mother cried. Okay, acceptable. And your little brother saw his fiancee cried, that goes without saying. You snapped your head in Kihyun direction when you set your mug down, downing the last bits of coke before Kihyun refills them.

“Whom did you see crying. Obviously none of my family members.” You crossed your arm, giving him a salty face. Kihyun cleared his throat and rubbed his palms on his knees. “You. I saw you cry.”

“No...you didn’t.” “I did.” “You’re lying.”

Your little brother proceeds to tell that no one has seen you cry before because you always do it alone. “...Achievement unlocked.” Kihyun grins. You stared at him. “You don’t believe me?” He asked you. Is that even a question?

“Christmas eve. Last year. You went to the park alone, saying you were meeting a friend. I followed you. There wasn’t any friend, was it? And then early this year, when you attended a reunion dinner. You went home, and sat in front of the opened fridge, leaning against the kitchen counter, on the floor. At midnight. Should I go on?” Kihyun gave you fidgeting eyes.

How did he remember all that? With the engagement ended, all that’s left to prepare is the wedding. They’ll mention the date. Kihyun gave you brother a firm hug. “Can you drive today? I don’t feel good.” You asked Kihyun and he replied, “Yeah. Sure.” You waved them goodbye and you caught mother elbowing dad in the stomach. You thought it was weird but shrug it off. “Payback time. You will drive while I go to sleep.” You chuckled evilly. “I knew this was coming. It was going far too well the last two days.” Kihyun slapped a thin smile on his face as he drove. “Do you want to stop at the rest area?” He asked. “Whatever.” You drifted to sleep. “Shut up, don’t talk. I need sleep.” You grumbled. Kihyun rolled his eyes. “I should be sleeping because who washed that much dishes when everyone else was asleep?” He nagged, complaints and grunts.”No one asked you to. You put yourself in that situation. Who were you trying to impress.” You switched in your seat.

“You know there’s a leverage you could use to lower the seat so you won’t have to sleep with your back straight.” Kihyun said. You furrowed your brows and starts to search for it. “...Where. I can’t see any. There’s like three levers here. If I push this one will the car blow off?” You said, being unsure. Kihyun tutted his tongue and pulled at the shoulder of the road. He stretches his right arm over your lap to pull the said lever and you fall back in your seat. But then you rose up when he less expected so he accidentally elbowed your nose bridge. You hissed and starts pinching them. He was equally horrified by it. He quickly located your face, spilling words of apology as he carefully examined your nose. Blinking your eyes to his face being so close to yours, he swallowed hard.

Seconds after, Kihyun was yelping in pain. And the sound is clearly heard from outside the Bugatti. The journey, continues.

“Stop filming me, moron.” Kihyun shot. “But why, you looked cute from this side. I’ve never seen you from this side. I’ve never seen you on any side, to be honest.” You zoomed to his jaw and chair, the video taken was shaky because you made no effort for it to look nice. “...You called me cute, are you drunk on water? Stop putting your cold feet on my thighs! DO IT ONE MORE TIME.” Kihyun gritted his teeth. “OMG, you’re right. Why did I call you cute. I must have gone insane.” You put your phone down but made no attempt to lift your feet from his lap. “Is the rest area further up?” You asked. “A few more metres, I saw the sign when you were pulling out my hair for dissing your awful taste of music.” You scoffed, “You want to do it again? You don’t need hair.”

“No thank you.” Kihyun pulls over to the parking area. Both of you walked out of the car and you excused yourself to go to the washroom. “I’m getting donuts.” He announced. “I want chocolate!” You yelled from afar, skipping to the toilet, trusting him. “No one asked you.” He trailed his eyes away and purchased the donut he wanted. You easily spot him from afar. A few girls were eyeing him and you were slightly smug by the fact that the guy came with you. They were taking pictures of him without him noticing. Sliding your hand over his shoulders, you sat right next to him, and watch the girls move away. “...Get your hands off of me. NOW.” He hissed. You snatched your hand back and saw that the donut box had no chocolate. “Rainbow sprinkles? I asked for chocolate?” You furrowed your brows.

“Sucks to be you.” Kihyun pierced his gaze forward, chewing like nothing happened. You dug your hands in your pocket and lift yourself up from the bench, hissing to his ear, “I trusted you.” A smile tugged on Kihyun’s lip before he bit them. You rashly attacked his ribs to tickle him and he twitches to the side, yelping loudly at once. Walking backwards, away from him, you gave him the finger and grinned. You were twirling something. A bunch of keys. Kihyun searches his jacket and jeans before muttering, “Fuck.” He quickly sped after you only to find you in the car, laughing hysterically. He knocks on the car window, “Very funny. Open this door.” You stuck out your tongue at him. “Not until you get me the chocolate donut.” You said to him.

Unbelievable. “Back, sir?” The cashier greeted. “Yeah, I’ll have the box of 6 pieces. Give me all the ones with chocolate toppings.” Kihyun dug out his wallet from the back pocket and paid for it. When he came out, you were sitting on the hood of his Bugatti. He brought the bag up to his eye level, “Happy now?” You sat in the passenger seat, stuffing your face with chocolate donut while he drives. “You’re lucky I’m a saint.” He commented. You couldn’t roll your eyes hard enough. “...Who says you are. I’m simply taking what I deserved, after the hospitality, I provided in my parent’s house, earlier.” You chewed with your mouth close.

“Hospitality? I slept on the floor!” ‘With matress, and healthy amount of blanket.”

Kihyun soon reaches Seoul. “You didn’t sleep the whole way like you planned.” Kihyun parked at the usual spot. The neighboring park lot is empty because it was yours, and your car is at the mechanics. “How can I, when you’re such a terrible driver.” You lied. Actually, you were having fun with his playlist and it gives you tranquility. He had such good taste in music. “You still have to pay the rent this month.” You shot, bringing your roller bag and cookie jar from your mother, out from the trunk. “...No fair. I borrowed you the car and you settle the rent, remember?” Kihyun whined. “Never take an agreement without signing a proper paperwork.” You used his lines against him. “Get a job.” You darted at him and struggle to press the elevator’s button. He looked at you with a sharp unforgiving gaze and helped you.

“I forgot, I have to clock-in to work at 8pm tonight and I won’t be home till tomorrow, so can I trust you to do the laundries?” You asked, walking out first the moment the lift dings to its arrival to your floor. “Absolutely not.” He spat. “Very good. I have something urgent to look into, and I don’t think it’ll be a two-minute thing. And also, I have to work over time so I can afford that mechanic work on the car.” You sighed as the door beeped open. “...I called, and they’re still doing the fixing. It won’t be soon.” Kihyun kick the door shut as he himself was carrying loads of things. You placed the cookie jar on the dining table. “...What, why.” You trailed your voice. “...Something about replacing the dented doors.” Kihyun shrugs. You walked down the hallway to your room, tying your hair up, “ Remind me not to borrow you my car, ever again.”

Kihyun chewed his lower lip, feeling sorry before he come up with a clapback, “Hey, I borrowed you mine, didn’t I?” “Just because it’s a second hand car, doesn’t mean you could trash it. Fixing will cost a fortune.” You grumbled and slammed your bedroom door with full intention of making him feel guilty. And he did. He just pretends he doesn’t. “Aren’t you getting dinner?” His voice mellows down and when he realized that you can’t hear him, he shouted from the kitchen, “How about dinner!” You turned on the shower head and drown yourself in blank thoughts. You started humming Kihyun’s playlist. He said, the song title was, “What Is Love” by Jaymes Young. And it had a melancholy feel to it yet very emotional. Mental note; will copy that playlist without him knowing.

You were thrown back to the ice breaking game you had with Kihyun and your family. “...Name one absurd thing you guys ever fought about.” Kihyun lifts his head up easily and answered in a second. “Fries.” You scowled, “We’ve never.”

“Yes, we did. You liked curly fries and think straight-cut fries are boring, I beg to differ. You didn’t talk to me for two days because of it.”

Or that time when you saw him expertly cooking and blinked, “When did you learn to do that?” To which your mother asked, “He doesn’t cook?” You tilt your head to one side and said, “All we ever do is order take-outs.” Kihyun smoothly lay the potato pancake on the plate. “None of our dinners are take-outs.”

I didn’t know you could cook. You smiled to yourself, in the shower. Then you slapped yourself for grinning. Kihyun is still your housemate who wrecked your car and causes you misfortune. You should not be smiling about him.

Kihyun ties pink apron around his waist, fire up the stove and cracked an egg in a bowl. Then he add salt and some pepper. The smell of aromatic rice surrounded the apartment. He made egg rolls, and fried some sausages. Now that you knew he cooks, he didn’t have to hide anymore. He set two bowl of rice on the table and waited for you. You had your work attire on, and even your ID tag. You wrapped your wet hair in a towel and joined him. “This was all I could put out.” He said, monotonously. “...Don’t worry about it.” You quickly dig in. He turned on the television to watch some news. You didn’t mind it at all. “You cooked soup in ten minutes?” You slurped. He nodded. And when his eyes stuck on the news, you were watching him eat. He cut a slice of watermelon for you and him. “Stop being nice to me.” You said, as you obtain one slice. “I hope you choke on the watermelon seed.” Kihyun dashed.

Then he sends you off to work. Watching you walk out the car and into the building had him saying, “That workaholic.” Now what do I do for one whole night?

He plunges all the coloured fabrics into the machine, and left the whites behind. “Why do I feel like a stay-at-home husband.”

Few things. They don’t need to sleep, but resting is important for them too. Mario’s kids are around 35–45. I used a translator to translate (duh) to ancient English.

When he appeared, Mario smiled. He was shaking softly and there were black tears running through his face.

“Why are hira tears black, Logan?” The three ghosts were floating near the ceiling, watching the kid entered and saw under the stairs. Hugging his knees close to his chest.

“Make up.” He shrugged.

“Why is he crying? He’s a kid!” Mario gasped terrified.

“Well, why don’t you go and ask him?” Roman said, and earned a glare from the scientist and the father. “Sorry. I sometimes forget it.” The father give a gentle hug to the prince.

The boy cried himself to sleep and when he woke up, there were pink flowers next to him. He looked around and picked the flower with a little smile.

“Yay. I made him smile.” Mario cheered.

The next day he arrived again, he went under the crooked stairs, sat under it, put some music and start working on something in his note books.

“Probably homework. He looks like a student.” Logan said when Roman asked.

He went when it was almost night.

Mario quietly wondered where were his parents, he would never let his kids out of the house without calling them constantly to their phones or with an earlier curfew.

Then again, he didn’t saw his kids growing up. —

That happened often. The boy would arrive at the house and left really late. Sometimes he would arrive with a slight limp, with bruises even.

He always cry, that was a fact.

The ghosts take played or wondered about his life. Roman would like to try to scare him, sometimes turning on the old TV or hiding his papers. Logan would read over his shoulder and blew the page back just to messed with him.

He would just smile. —

One day he arrived bleeding. Bleeding and limping. He was crying so hard, broken sobs would break through his entire body.

“I wish I could hug him.”

“Me too.”

That day Mario left pink flowers with yellow flowers.

He always took his flowers but this time, he felt them behind.

He came back next day, earlier than normal. He had a determined look on his eyes and a rope on his hands. He was bleeding again and his cheeks were wet.

“What is he going to do?” Roman asked cautiously.

Mario looked nervous, seeing the teen tying one extreme of the rope to the railing of the second floor. He did a weird knot to the other.

“He’s going to kill himself! Logan do something!!” Mario screamed terrified.

“What do you want me to do?!” Logan asked, also panicking a little, “I can’t touch anything but the TV remote.”

Roman tried to be a distraction.

Logan tried to be heard. (Because if they tried hard enough living people can hear them)

Mario threw more flowers.

But at the end it was useless, he jumped.

The teen was dead.

“It’s okay. We’re not going to hurt you.”

“Yfel wilnian yfel, thither.” Add a really mad Roman.

The teen almost destroyed the house when notice he was, in fact, a ghost. “What’s your name, kid?”

“Don’t called me kid.” He hissed, coughing a little. He was shaking, why was he shaking if his heart stop beating?

“What shall we call you, then?” Logan asked.

The three were surrounding the new arrival. Mario was siting on the floor, holding the scared kid while the other two were looking at him.

“Alex.”

Mario almost cry.—

“… I was forced.”

“Someone else took away my chance to live and you threw away yours!”

“I wasn’t alive anymore. That thing was a hell! Do you know what’s like to beaten by your father just because you don’t like girls?!” Mario winced at the power of his words.

How? How could someone force his kid into that? He would do everything just to hold them again. To kissed them goodnight and tell them stories.

Roman was mad at Alex for killing himself. Mario was furious at his father for letting the kid die while being alive.

Logan raised an eyebrow. “And now they can marry?“

“I mean, yeah.” Alex shrugged, enjoying the company of the scientist and the flight. He always dreamed about flying. “In some places they can adopt.”

“Wow. Look at us! Bonding over queers!” He chuckled, “Gosh, my boss would be so mad. The again he was mad all the time.”

Alex smiled. It was weird to feel happier when you were dead. —

“I’m sorry.” Roman said suddenly. “I-I was a… what’s the word? Jerk?”

Mario look up from the garden, through the window and saw the two ghosts talking. Logan was siting with him, telling him everything about the new plants that were growing.

“That’s the word.” Alex chuckled, “Don’t worry Princey, I get it.”

”I like that. Princey. Sounds scír.” Alex raised an eyebrow, “Neat. Sorry. Logan understand me better.”

Mario watched them with a fond smile, “It worked, huh?” Logan asked.

“You would’ve been a great father, you know that, right?” Logan said soothly and put his hand over the father shoulder, squeezing it a little to show comfort.

“I suppose.” He grabbed the hand of Logan and smiled as he saw the prince and the teen laughed. —

Thomas arrived a few days after shooting that video, “Hey!! Look!! The video were you all helped me is trending.”

“What’s trending?” Asked the oldest ghosts, while approaching the living one.

Alex chuckled, “It means that it’s popular on internet.”

The house felt even more quiet, Roman and Logan watching from afar the father and the teen.

Mario had his eyes lost somewhere, listening over and over again that beautiful word.

How did Alex dare to you it? Mario was already a dad! His kids were successful people! Not some random teen who couldn’t take a little teasing!

Alex felt the tears burning in his eyes, “Ma–rio. I’m sorry—”

Suddenly he felt himself trapped by a hard hug. Mario’s hand was gently holding his head and pressing their bodies together.

“I wish you would’ve been my dad.” He whispered so so softly it broke Mario’s heart.

“I can be. Now.” He grabbed the crying face of the teen in his hands and caressed the tears away, “Son.”

They cried harder.

Alex mourning a family he never had. A future he refuse to has. A neglectful mother. An abusive father.

Mario mourning a family he never saw again. The eyes of his Andrea and the smile of his Alejandro. He mourned all the things he missed.

Suddenly they felt another two pairs of arms, and the four were soon sobbing in the floor. Holding each other.

Mourning.

A kingdom he never saw grow and stupid traitorous friends. Stomach pains and so so so many years of solitude.

A broken friendship because of a darn secret. Shouting. Years of years of researching to the trash. Fear.

And maybe, maybe this new family was weird.

Maybe it was creepy and scary.
