Love languages specifically were made by a guy to justify why his wife had to serve him (his love language iirc was "physical touch" (so his wife was obligated to sleep with him etc etc) and he designated hers as "acts of service" because she had to do everything for him)

yes, absolutely, i do know this part! i understand why this is fucked up and some people dont want to use the terms bc of it

but i highly doubt everyone knows this. the love language terms are sooo widespread that im sure 90% of people dont bat and eye and take it at face value! ‘i like physical touch a lot so if someone doesnt we likely wouldnt be very compatible’ just feels like a healthy way of communicating to me

love is fake and relationships are fake anyway (over exaggerating ofc) so if people arent using the words to be abusive i dont see the issue i guess? i dont know, i feel like most people dont use them maliciously
