where was miss lillian when the bomb dropped 💥

lillian was actually exactly where the canon sole was for once!! her mother, audrey, was a member of the enclave who volunteered herself, lillian & shaun (evie & jack's son, though he was purported to be lillian's to the outside world) to enter vault 111 to ensure their leadership in the new world. this plan was, of course, complicated by the fact that lillian bashed her mother's brains in upon discovering she'd been aware of the impending nuclear denotation and had excluded her siblings & father from the vaults with the intent of letting them die with the old world. after futile attempts to reach nate & the rest of her family, she takes audrey's clearance, her childhood nanny, and shaun and runs like hell to the vault with the rest of the neighborhood. (her attempt to save her nanny was well-intentioned but ultimately just resulted in her getting shot by kellogg. whoops.)

Definitely her friends. Although her friends do become like a family to her, more than her actual family ever was.

Fluent in English and Spanish. Most recently she's been working on learning Japanese; currently her understanding of it is better than her spoken or written ability.

Inside. Preferably her own home or the lab where she works.

Regenerative abilities. Though they're limited in that she doesn't heal instantly and the amount of damage she could take overall.

Her father is Indian and her mother is English. Both were born and raised in London, as was Wren.

She's killed and seriously wounded a…. fair amount of people. Especially when she was with ARGUS before and then again when she was re-recruited for project butterfly. But she's never broken anyone's trust or anyone's heart (that she's aware of anyway lmao).

51. have they ever shot a gun before?

of course. the first time she ever used one was when she was thirteen and she escaped the xbd factory - she’d managed to surprise one of the camera crew enough that she knocked them out cold with a stray pipe, and courage bolstered she’d taken the pistol from their hip and slipped out of the factory and into the humid air of night city. she definitely left a trail of bodies. she never leaves home without one now.

52. have they ever been axe throwing?

no, but her aim in general is pretty good so she’d probably be ok at it! she’s definitely used an axe once or twice when doing jobs against scav’s and doesn’t mind them.

53. what is something that they want but can’t have?

freedom from the choke hold of night city? peace and quiet? her best friend back from the dead? a second chance at having a normal childhood? there are so many things left in her past that del quietly wishes she could hold again.

54. do they know how to fish?

definitely not. i don’t think she’s ever seen a fishing rod.

55. what is something they always wanted to do but were too scared?

fall in love, stand on the top of the tallest skyscraper in night city, leave the city limits.

56. do they own their own baby pictures?

no. her mum might have a few tucked away, but del hasn’t seen her in since she was like fifteen and doesn’t really want to anyway (only half true). she was a gorgeous baby though.

57. what makes them standout among others?

her pink hair and bubbly, energetic personality, mostly. she’s very loud and bright, especially in a crowd, and definitely likes to stand out, to be the center of attention. 

58. do they like to show off?

oh definitely! she can be very smug when she wants to be. 

59. what is their favourite song?

anything loud and poppy with a strong beat and a lively atmosphere. she loves us cracks! she’ll go for most music honestly, although she definitely prefers pop much to johnny’s absolute horror.

60. what would be their dream vehicle?

a motorbike, definitely. jackie’s arch is gorgeous and so meaningful for delaney, and she adores riding it, but part of her wants to have her own bike that’s not leaden with her past grief and pain from his loss. i don’t know anything about bikes but delaney definitely has a bit of a thing for them.

61. what is their favourite book?

she’s not much for reading, honestly. she can read, but after she finished high school she never really picked up any more books. jackie tried to get her into pleasure reading while they lived together for a bit, and while she didn’t mind it, she’d much rather stick to magazines than actual books.

62. who, in their opinion, makes the best food?

mama welles, hands down. or that one dingy diner down the street from her apartment that she frequents far too much. 

63. are they approachable?

if she wants to be. around friends or allies she comes off as very friendly and easygoing, but that can quickly change if you’re a threat to her and her loved ones. she can shift between the two at almost the drop of a hat, and it’s honestly a little unsettling how easily she can become very intimidating.

64. did they ever change their appearance?

one of the first things she did once she was taken in be padre was dye her hair, and ever since that first rush of freedom, of having full control over her body and appearance, she’s never turned back. she often changes her hair style but settled on the pink a few years ago, but tattoos are always being added. she’s also experimented with various piercings, although found she mostly likes wearing them in her ears. she likes the autonomy to choose how she looks.

65. what makes them smile?

her friends, bad jokes, good food, the rush of riding a motorbike without a helmet, kicking ass, a job well done, being a smartass, good music. she tries to be a positive influence in her own life, trauma be damned, and prefers her smiling self than any other.

66. do they like glowsticks?

yes! one of the only good memories she has of her mother was when she bought her a pack of glowsticks for her sixth birthday and made delaney a crown and bracelets out of them. 

67. what is something that is simple, but always makes them smile?

see 65! 

68. are they a day or night person?

she’s turned into a night person by default of her job keeping her out late at night often, but she actually prefers the daytime. she likes the warmth and light of it, although she will admit that parties and clubs are better at night. 

69. are they allergic to anything?

not that she’s found. her immune system is pretty good, all things considered.

she lowkey misses modern day music and just having the radio in general. some of the musicians in camp just aren’t the same

pines for a stable and healthy relationship; someone to come home to again

after events of the game play out, lorna eventually leaves her camp and moves elsewhere. still stuck between whether it ends up as lost lake or somewhere else

of all the new threats in the world, she’s most fearful of rager bears

wants to learn how to ride a bike at some point so she won’t have to rely on jumping on the back of someone else’s all the time

HARRIET

harriet has a pretty varied collection of blouses for work. the majority of which are quite loud in colour, making her stand out like a bit of a sore thumb from time to time

she prefers vinyl records over cds and online music, having inherited a large collection from both parents

jokes she has two left feet due to her tendency to trip up

laments that she didn’t really know her father very well. if not for a handful of photographs rebecca kept, she doubts she’d even remember what he looked like

Mari shouldn’t have expected Rian to behave.

For the first little while, she doesn’t see much of him in Jackson. Of course, he’s a lot busier than she is – even though she started working at the clinic, she spends a lot of time at Joel’s with Ally and Xavier. Still, she didn’t expect to see so little of him now that they live in the same settlement again. She passes by him on the street when she’s heading to work or getting supplies from the store before she heads home at the end of the night, but he never stops to talk to her, and she doesn’t see him when she’s out with Ally even once. She doesn’t know whether he’s avoiding them to be an asshole or giving her space to be nice and make things easier for them. Maybe both.

Then, once she starts going out with Tommy, everything changes.

She didn’t even expect to find someone here to go out with, but she deserves it. After Rian, after giving birth to Ally by herself, she deserves it. It doesn’t hurt that Tommy’s handsome, too, and he goes out of his way to be nice to her when he doesn’t have to be (and when most other people in Jackson aren’t). He takes her out to the restaurant, makes her dinner while Xavier watches the baby, walks her home from the clinic when he’s not on a guard shift or tending to chores (or dealing with the fallout of his break from Maria), and is just… around. A lot. Since Rian isn’t, Mari figures he won’t notice.

At least not as quickly as he does.

All of a sudden, though, he’s turning up more and more. Coming to Joel’s to drop something off even though everyone knows that Joel doesn’t like him and asking if Mari’s home; sitting down for dinner at the restaurant at the same time that Mari and Tommy are there, leaning close to Teagan with an arm around her shoulder and smiling as he whispers something into her ear. Mari doesn’t know what he could be saying – he’s probably just telling her how hot he is. God knows he’s full of himself enough for that to be true. Whatever it is that he’s saying, though, Teagan is smiling, and Mari hates it. She tries not to, but she hates it.

“Mari?”

She glances over at Tommy. “Sorry,” she says, smiling at him. “I was just thinking.”

Tommy places a hand on her leg and squeezes. Thankfully, he didn’t seem to notice her looking at Rian. “That’s alright,” he replies. “Anything you wanna share?”

She leans closer to him, tilting her head. “I don’t know,” she answers quietly. “I don’t really think this is an appropriate place to talk about it.”

His mouth falls open a little, breath catching in his throat. Mari tries not to feel too much pride over it. Tommy’s an older man – not old, but older than her. Maria probably wasn’t giving it up very often before they broke it off, so it’s no surprise that it takes Mari very little to rile him up. The fact that she’s hot helps, too. “Oh yeah?” he murmurs. His grip on her knee gets a little tighter. “Like what?”

Mari shrugs. “Maybe I’ll tell you later,” she responds with fake nonchalance. “If you’re good.”

Tommy chuckles. “Okay, okay. I’ll be good, then.”

When she glances around the room, trying not to be too obvious about it, she can see Rian watching her from his seat while Teagan plays with his jacket and talks to herself.

Good. If he wants to play games, then Mari’s going to play, too.

After that, he keeps popping up more and more. Mari catches him walking past the clinic with Teagan even though he’s probably going out of his way to do it. When Tommy takes Mari and Ally for a walk, Rian is sitting on a park bench with one of the few people in Jackson who can actually tolerate him. And almost every time Tommy and Mari are at the restaurant, sitting in their usual booth, Rian is there, too. He’s almost always with Teagan, but he shows up a few times just to keep an eye on them, and it’s starting to piss her off.

He left Shady Pines. Yes, she told him to, but he didn’t fight back or tell her to fuck off the way a grown man like him easily could’ve if he wanted to. Instead, he came to Jackson with his tail between his legs, fucked Teagan, and now that Mari is here too, he keeps flaunting her in Mari’s face. He hasn’t tried to talk to her, of course, or tried to reach out and talk about Ally. He just follows her around and tries to make her jealous, and it’s not working.

It’s not.

She’s pushing Ally in a stroller and walking beside Tommy in the graveyard one night when she spots Rian again. He’s not loitering as shamelessly as he usually does – she’s not even sure he was trying to catch them, since he’s standing on the other side of the gate with a bag of supplies slung over his shoulder. But still, even though she’s sure he was probably heading home for the night, he stops to watch them for a couple seconds. Tommy is telling a story that Mari is definitely not listening to, but he trails off when Rian heads up the path towards them.

“Hey,” Rian says.

“Hey,” Tommy replies. He sounds more gruff than usual, which isn’t a surprise. Both of the Miller brothers seem to get like that around Rian. “You need something, McCormick?”

“Nope.” Rian slows to a stop in front of Ally’s stroller, and Mari tightens her grip on the handle. “Just wanted to say hi.”

“Well, you said it.”

“Not to you.” He looks at Mari expectantly, and she lets out a sigh.

“Hey,” she says, trying not to sound effected.

Satisfied, Rian nods at her and then waits a couple seconds to lean down and hold his hand out for Ally. “Hi, baby girl,” he murmurs. Ally babbles, reaching up to grab him.

Tommy gives Mari a questioning look. She knows that if she told him to beat Rian’s ass – or just get him to piss off – that he’d do it, but she shakes her head. As much as she hates it, and him, and everything about the situation, Ally is Rian’s baby too. He’s already not allowed to be a part of her life the rest of the time. She might as well let him say hi. It doesn’t make him anything more than the stranger they both pretend he is.

“She looks good,” he comments. He sounds like he did the first time he saw Ally – thoughtful. No confidence or cockiness or anything. “Healthy. Happy.”

“She is,” Mari agrees. “We both are.”

She can see Tommy smile at that out of the corner of her eye, but it quickly disappears the second that Rian opens his mouth.

“Well, if you need someone to watch her while you guys go out on a date or something, then Teagan and I can do it.” He jerks his head towards Tommy. “Probably hard to get your rocks off with a kid in the house all the time, huh?”

Tommy takes a step towards him, but Rian puts his hands up defensively. “I’m kidding, I’m kidding,” he says with an expression that tells them otherwise. “But hey. I’m serious.” He looks at Mari, then, the emotion in his eyes unreadable. “You let me know if she needs anything, alright?”

“I can take care of them just fine,” Tommy tells him. “Don’t you got somewhere to be?”

Rian smiles at Tommy. “Yeah. I do. See you later.”

He nods at Mari before turning on his heel and heading the other direction, out of the graveyard and back into town. Tommy reaches over and places a hand on the small of Mari’s back. “You alright?” he asks.

She looks at him and nods. “I’m fine,” she replies. “Let’s just finish our walk. You were telling a story, weren’t you?”

Even when he starts telling it again, she still isn’t paying attention. She’s been waiting for Rian to approach her for weeks now and the first time he does, he barely has anything to say. After this, she’s tired of playing games with him. She’s sick of him pretending like he doesn’t care about her and then turning around to make her jealous whenever he has the chance. Next time he tries to approach her, she’ll tell him to leave her alone for good.

Then again, Joel and Tommy have a lot of sway in Jackson. If they wanted Rian gone, he would be gone. They could probably send Teagan packing, too, if Mari gave them a good enough reason. She doesn’t know why it hasn’t happened yet, considering how little both of the Miller brothers seem to like Rian. Maybe she should suggest it to Tommy. He’d probably do it, especially if he wants to be Ally’s dad down the line and needs Rian out of the picture.

But thinking about that makes her feel sick, so she puts that idea to bed for now.

She doesn’t see Rian for a few days after that. Not even when she and Tommy are out for dinner again – him and Teagan’s usual seat is taken up by another couple, and they’re nowhere to be found in the rest of the restaurant. She doesn’t see him when they walk home, but she does see Teagan getting friendly with one of the forward scouts. Later that night, after Tommy’s dropped her off and helped her put Ally to bed, Mari’s just put on the record player and sat down on the couch when someone knocks at the door.

It's Rian. Of course. He wasn’t giving her space – he was just biding his time.

“Joel’s not here,” she says, wrapping her robe tighter around her chest. Thank God Xavier isn’t here, either – he’d have a lot to say. “Even if he was, we both know he wouldn’t invite you inside.”

“I don’t wanna talk to Joel.” Rian looks uncharacteristically nervous. She doesn’t think she’s ever seen him look like this in his life. “I want to talk to you.”

“You’re already talking to me.”

He lets out a sharp breath like he wants to snap back at her but instead glances at the front door, pulling a hand out of his pocket to gesture toward it. “Can I come inside?”

“If you want to see Ally –“

“I don’t,” he interrupts. “Well, I do. Of course I do. But I want to talk to you first. Can I come in?”

Mari stares at him for a moment and then steps out onto the porch, closing the door behind her. It’s too cold outside for this, but she doesn’t feel like they have much to say to each other anyway.

“Okay.” She looks up at him expectantly. “Talk.”

He looks down at her, swallowing hard. “I came to see you,” he begins softly. “The morning I was supposed to leave Shady Pines. After I had packed up and was ready to go, I came by so I could… I wanted to… I don’t know.” He reaches up to run a hand through his hair. “I was going to tell you that I didn’t want to go. I didn’t want to leave you. I didn’t want that. I… I just…” His eyes flick away from her. “Fuck, this is hard.”

Mari should tell him to leave her alone like she was thinking about. She should tell him that she doesn’t want him in Ally’s life, remind him that whatever happened between them was too complicated and that it never would’ve worked out, but she doesn’t. When she pictures him standing at her door in Shady Pines, waiting to talk to her, and thinks about how he left feeling like she didn’t even care that he did… she feels guilty. Maybe she’s been feeling guilty for a while and just wouldn’t let herself admit it.

The worst thing is that she can’t stand by any of the things she’s said. She said a relationship wouldn’t have worked and it’s clear, now that she’s with Tommy and he’s with Teagan, that that’s not true. Whether or not she likes Tommy, they’ve made it work so far. Whether or not Rian likes Teagan, they’ve been together for a lot longer than Mari and Tommy, and they’ve made it work so far, too.

And Mari knows that Tommy is nice and all, but he’s not Rian. He’s never been Rian.

“I know the world is a fucked-up place,” Rian continues. “I know as good as anyone that caring about people can be dangerous. But… Mari, I care about you.” He takes a step closer to her and she doesn’t back away. “I wish I never left.”

“Why did you?”

“I wanted you to regret pushing me away. I wanted you to realize that you cared about me, too.” His gaze flickers down to her lips and then back up to her eyes. “Do you?”

Mari looks at him, thinking hard. This is it. She can feel, right now, that this is her last chance. If she never wants to speak to Rian again, if she never wants to see him again, if she wants to be a happy family with Tommy and Ally and Xavier for the rest of her life, she can tell him ‘no’ and he will leave her alone, for his sake as well as hers. She knows that, deep down. She also knows that Rian cares about her. He probably loves her. And even though she’s been pretending that she doesn’t feel the same, she does. It’s not another Dominic situation. She’s not faking it for safety and security and comfort. Her feelings for Rian don’t give her any of that, and she still wants to tell him she cares about him.

Instead, she glances away and shrugs. He stares at her for a moment before letting out an amused huff.

“It’s like that, huh?” he asks.

Mari crosses her arms over her chest, trying not to smile. She basically just admitted that she cares about him – she can’t inflate his ego anymore by laughing, or even giving him a smile. That’d be too much. He still has to work for that. “Yeah.”

“Come on.” He grabs her biceps and tugs them. “You’re really going to tell me you don’t care about me?”

“I didn’t say that.”

“So you do care.”

“I didn’t say that either.”

Rian laughs. “You’re killing me, Mari.”

She rolls her eyes. “Go fuck yourself.”

He slides his hands up to her shoulders and squeezes. “So. Do you want to tell Tommy or should I?”

Sighing, Mari reaches up to push his hands off her shoulders. “There’s nothing to tell Tommy,” she answers airily. “Just because I might care about you doesn’t mean he and I are done. I care about a lot of things, and I’m not going to break up with Tommy just so I can fuck those things.”

“Yeah, but…” Rian smirks at her. “You wanna fuck me, though, right?”

She glares at him. “I didn’t say that.”

“You feel it, though. I can tell.”

She does want to fuck him, of course. No one has ever made her feel the way he has. Even though she’s sure Tommy would be fine in the bedroom, he would never compare to Rian. Still, she doesn’t really know where to go from here. She doesn’t know if she and Rian are ready for a real relationship yet. She doesn’t know if she remembers how to do a real relationship anymore – not just playing house like she’s been with Tommy. And there’s still Teagan and Ally to consider… and she knows that Xavier is going to have a hell of a lot to say…

“I’ll talk to Tommy when you break up with Teagan,” Mari says.

“I’ll break up with Teagan when you promise you’re going to break up with Tommy,” Rian shoots back. “I’m not going to break up with Teagan so I can sit around while Tommy breaks both his hips trying to fuck you.”

She’s dangerously close to laughing at that, but she holds out. Thankfully. “Joel will kill you if he hears you talking about Tommy like that.”

“Good thing he’s not home, then.”

Rian is so cocky, standing on Joel’s porch like he owns the place. “You should head home,” she says, even though she really doesn’t want him to. If she knew Xavier wouldn’t be coming home anytime soon, if there was no risk of Tommy showing up unannounced, she might be interested in inviting Rian in… but she can’t. Not until she talks to Tommy. Not until she deals with everything else, first. “We can talk more tomorrow.”

He blows a raspberry, tucking his hands into his back pocket. “Fine,” he says. “Can I get a goodnight kiss first, though?”

“You’re pushing your luck, McCormick.”

“I know. Just thought that it would never hurt to ask.”

She shoves his shoulder and turns to the door. “Get out of here,” she says. “Goodnight, Rian.”

“’Night, Mari.” She doesn’t need to be looking at him to know that he’s watching her. Before she shuts the door behind her, she turns around and shoots one last glare at him for good measure. Rian being Rian, he just smiles.

With a smile of her own, Mari heads to Ally’s room and creeps inside. It’s completely silent, so she tiptoes over to the crib as quietly as she can and peers over the edge to see whether or not Ally is still sleeping. She is, of course, completely sound asleep, just as Tommy and Mari had left her earlier. 5. do they have a secret handshake with anyone?

no, although she probably did when she was little. tess doesn’t really have a lot of close friends in adulthood, besides maybe coco, and even if coco is into some freaky shit she wouldn’t be seen dead (ha ha) doing a secret handshake. sorry tess.

10. what is their favourite room to be in, in the house they live in?

probably a close tie between the reading nook in her living room, or her bedroom. she likes to feel cozy and safe when she’s at home, huddled in blankets with a book or binge watching her favourite show, and both areas are very warm and comfortable.

15. what was the last thing they cried about?

she’s actually pretty emotionally strong and doesn’t cry too much, but i’d say it was either something terrible mattias said/did, or having to deal with a awfully tragic patient at the hospital. for the most part though she can keep a cool head.

20. do they have a pet?

she has a cat! she’s a huge and fluffy calico that hisses at mattias or coco whenever they come around (matt moreso). deep down though, she’s a big baby and loves snuggling in bed with tess at night.

25. what type a high schooler are/were they?

oh, definitely one of the nerds. but like, the nerd that was really good looking so the popular kids would always try to ‘convert’ her over to their group, but tess would always brush them off and stick with her fellow nerdy friends. she was never interested in popularity or anything like that, and she had a really close group of friends at school. 

30. do they have a job?

yes, she’s a nurse! she’d always wanted to get involved in medicine in some way, but failed the entrance exams for med and so went down the nursing pathway instead (turns out she enjoys it a lot more anyway, so it was a blessing in disguise really). she likes helping people and her job is very fulfilling, if intense.

35. do they own a plant?

probably. she likes having a few houseplants around the place, it livens up the space.

40. if i wanted to draw them, what would be distinct physical features that i would have to know to draw them correctly?

she’s very suntanned and freckled, with bright blonde hair and big, doe eyes. definitely on the shorter side too. her fashion sense stands out a fair bit too, with lots of bright colours, pretty sundresses and high waisted denim. 

45. are they a quick learner?

definitely! she’s incredibly smart and picks up new topics and ideas really fast; it’s part of the reason she did so well in school and university. she’s always had a passion for learning and the skills and brain to go along with it.

50. if they got called out by someone, what would they do?

probably be mad about it for a bit, but move on fairly quickly. she’s never been one for grudges or hate, and is pretty good at distancing herself from toxic people.

She's more or less the same, perhaps less angry.... she’s definitely in a better place now than she was before. If she could say anything to her younger self it would be to just be patient and that she will have a family that actually cares about her

If she sees kids being mistreated or yelled at, it reminds her of her childhood. She always intervenes she can't just watch and do nothing 😔

🥝 What does a bad mental health day look like for your OC? Walk us through it with them. What kind of things can help them out of this slump and what kinds of things comfort them when they start to feel like this?

She gets uncharacteristically quiet. When she's down in the dumps she doesn’t want to be around others because she doesn’t want to bring them down with her. She'll stay in her bedroom/living room and watch her comfort movies or sometimes she just drinks

🍐 What is your OC’s mentality? Are they overall positive? Negative? A bit of both? Describe their thought patterns and reasoning behind their choice making!

I think in general she tends to be mostly pessimistic. Sure she has days when she feels more optimistic, but shes always been rather negative. John helps her pull out of that mentality when they get together. And as for the choice making... she tends to kind of, live in the moment. She’s not much of a planner, so most of her decisions are a result of a spur of the moment.

💚 Talk about some of the traumatic events in your OC’s life. These events can be ones that have happened to them or a loved one. These events can be minor or major.

Most traumatic event in her life was when she was 10 and she found her mom bleeding on the kitchen floor after she tried to kill herself... she had to call 911 and make sure her younger brother didn't see their mother like that.... she never got proper treatment after that and never told anyone. And then her father died and, while she was angry at him most of the time for always working and never having time for them she still misses him

A: APTITUDE

1. what are your oc’s natural abilities, things they’ve been doing since young?

cody is a very athletic person and has been involved in team sports since she was like six years old. she’s also a natural leader and tends to take charge in most situations.

2. what activities have they participated in?

she’s been on teams for soccer, basketball, volleyball and softball. softball being the most prominent as she played it all through high school and was the team captain, and she played for the huskies when she was attending the university of washington. she had hopes of going pro with her after college, but then the whole world pretty much ended so :/

3. what abilities do they have that they’ve worked for?

she’s not naturally gifted when it comes to music but seven years of piano lessons have paid off. once cody is committed to something, she’s all in so she worked extremely hard to get where she is, but it’s never been anything more than a hobby she enjoys. she only started playing when she was eleven because of a slightly snarky comment made by a friend at the time about why she was even in music class when she couldn’t play anything or hold a note. 

she’s also worked quite hard at being a good listener. she can be so excited or caught up in conversations that she’ll unintentionally not really listen to what people say to her because she’s constantly thinking ahead of what to say, etc. she’s worked really hard to be a lot better about being more attentive and present. 

4. what things are they bad at?

for someone so athletic you’d think she’d have excellent control over her body but the girl a. cannot dance for shit and b. is pretty damn clumsy. off the pitch/court she’s tripping over air and banging into stuff constantly. 

5. what is their most impressive talent?

she’s got stupid talents that are impressive to like college and high school students. she can get a bottle cap off a beer in a multitude of ways without using a bottle opener. she can solve a rubik’s cube in under thirty seconds. 

E: EXTERNAL PERSONALITY

1. does the way they do things portray their internal personality?

cody cares about other people a lot. she really values her friends and family and would go to any lengths to see them happy and healthy. she was always very open and clear about this in how she gave affection. after the outbreak, when she’s left alone, she’s a lot more guarded when it comes to people. she tries keeps herself at a distance, though she’s kind of bad at it rip :/ and it seems to bring her nothing but hurt. 

2. do they do things that conform to the norm?

she’s definitely rebelled a little bit but never for the sake of not conforming, rather just going after something she’s passionate about. she pushed to play on the boys sports teams a lot because they were the most competitive and high level. she continues to be mad about the fact that she has to play softball rather than baseball. she would never let social norms stop her from chasing after something she wanted. for awhile she was determined to be the first woman to play in the mlb. 

3. do they follow trends or do their own thing?

she’s never been super up to date on trends or anything like that. she used to get a lot of shit about it from her friends for wearing the same type of clothes since she was 13 but it never bothered her.

4. are they up-to-date on the internet fads?

i mean, yeah. she had a facebook, instagram, twitter. you know, the works, but she was never massively active on them. literally just had a twitter to keep up with drama and memes. she’s definitely unintentionally had a few viral tweets. (she does some jock shit in a video and becomes ‘hot baseball girl’ on twitter for like a week.)

5. do they portray their personality intentionally or let people figure it out on their own?

pre-outbreak, she’s pretty upfront about who she is. she’s a very friendly, outgoing, headstrong person and that naturally shines through. post-outbreak, grab your shovel baby and get ready to start digging. 

P: PERSONALITY

1. what is their best personality trait?

cody is extremely driven and passionate about the things she loves. 

2. what is their worst personality trait?

she can be extremely stubborn about things. and also impulsive. which go great together. 

*cody voice* i’m about to do this idiotic thing because i think its right and not even god could stop me.

3. what of their personality do others love?

how genuine and openly affectionate she is. she’s not afraid to let people know how much she cares for and appreciates them. 

4. what of their personality do others envy?

maybe how resilient she is. it’s something she learned from growing up playing a lot of team sports. you always have to pick yourself back up again, no matter how hard the hit. and she’s done it again and again. 

5. do they hate anything about their personality/about other’s personalities?

for herself, she hates how sensitive she can be. how much she depends on other people, whether it be physically or emotionally. she wishes she could be happy alone, it would make her new life so much easier if she wasn’t so damn lonely all the time. 

in others, she hates liars. people who do it without even thinking about it, like it’s just second nature to them. also selfish people. who’d let others suffer for their own benefit. she thinks it’s very cowardly.
