❛  you  wouldn’t  let  me  kiss  you .  ❜ ( ranulf and nephenee! he's wanted to show his kitten affection )
"Ah, well..." the Crimean hadn't expected that to be his reaction to her startled surprise when he leaned in so close, but his words had stumped her. Though, they had all but caused her cheeks to catch fire, turning a very pretty wild rose color as her eyes flicked between his and his lips. "You...wanna kiss...me?" She got the feeling her confusion bordered on incredulity as she blinked up at him.
Tilting her head to the side, she clasped her hands together, fiddling with her fingers a little as she tried to process the what and the why of his wants. "I...well. Alright then. I dunno why you'd want to but...since yer my friend, okay. Just um...don't startle me so next time? You moved so fast I hardly even saw ya approach."

"i still don't totally understand why you'd settle down in a vast large forest. is it the quiet? the lush fresh breeze? perhaps the chirping of birds in the very morning? don't understand me wrongly, it's my lovely home." ranulf jumped down from the tree, stepping in front of the new face. "or do you want to fetch yourself an attractive beast man to keep you safe?" his ears twitched. people don't come here to enjoy their stay or did things start to change in the world?
Looking up from their book, Bua tilted their head a little as they took in the Cat laguz, and in doing so, got the distinct feeling that he was doing much the same to them. Still, a smile hooked the corner of their lips up into a half smile as they listened to his questions, with his last causing them to let out a quiet, breathy chuckle. As the closed their book gently, they pushed themself off the ground with a little help from the sturdy tree they'd nestled again. "Well, I'm sure those are all reasons one might come here, but as for me, you were right on your first three guesses."
Teal-gold eyes flicked over him, before flickering to look around him as well. No suspicion in their gaze, though a slight confusion remained, "It's not often one hears of a laguz alone, and not so close to the border of a beorc country either. Is it the gentle breeze? The tall, sturdy trees that offer much shade and many perches?" A laugh bubbled through their words, though didn't quite leave them as they winked, unable to refrain from teasing him just a little.
"But, I like it out here. The earth is strong and the breeze is always gentle and fresh, especially after a rain. Besides, it is nice to have plenty of shade while reading, and Crimean trees don't always offer enough of that. And...there are fewer who complain about sudden crashes of lightning when you do so away from towns." With a curtsy, their smile became a little more cautious, a little more apologetic. "I do hope you don't mind the intrusion though? I can leave, if you would wish that. Though I do hope you'd at least tell me your name before sending me off."
Their eyes twinkled as they offered one hand to him. "Mine is Bua."
